Christmas night, another fight
Tears, we cried a flood
Got all kinds of poison in
Of poison in my blood
I took my feet to Oxford Street
Trying to right a wrong
Just walk away, those windows say
But I can't believe she's gone
When you're still waiting for the snow to fall
Doesn't really feel like Christmas at all
Up above, candles on air flicker
Oh, they flicker and they float
And I'm up here holdin' on
To all those chandeliers of hope
Like some drunken Elvis singin'
I go singin' out of tune
Sayin' how I always loved you, darlin'
And I always will
Oh, when you're still waiting for the snow to fall
It doesn't really feel like Christmas at all
Still waiting for the snow to fall
It doesn't really feel like Christmas at all
Those Christmas lights light up the street
Down where the sea and city meet
May all your troubles soon be gone
Oh, Christmas lights, keep shinin' on
Those Christmas lights light up the street
Maybe they'll bring her back to me
And then all my troubles will be gone
Oh, Christmas lights, keep shinin' on
Oh, Christmas lights, light up the street
Light up the fireworks in me
May all your troubles soon be gone
Christmas night, another fight.
Tears were cried, a flood.
I’ve of all kinds of poison in, of poison in my blood.
I took my feet to Oxford Street,
Tryin’ to right a wrong.
“Just walk away,” those windows say,
But I can’t believe she’s gone.
When you’re still waiting for the snow to fall,
It doesn’t really feel like Christmas at all.
Up above candles oh they flicker, oh they flicker and they float
And I’m up here holding on to all those chandeliers of hope.
And like some drunken omen singing, I go singing out of tune
Saying know I always loved you darling and I always will.
And you’re still waiting for the snow to fall,
It doesn't really feel like Christmas at all.
Still waiting for the snow to fall,
It doesn't really feel like Christmas at all.
Those Christmas lights
Light up the street,
Down where the sea and city meet.
May all your troubles soon be gone.
Oh Christmas lights keep shining on.
Those Christmas lights, light up the street,
Maybe they’ll bring her back to me.
Then all my troubles will be gone,
Oh Christmas lights keep shining on.
Oh Christmas lights,
Light up the street,
Light up the fire wicks in me.
May all your troubles soon be gone ,
Those Christmas lights keep shining on.
All she was a parent's prize
Pushed to the edge by childhood lies
No escape when it's that far gone
Just hope and pray you have it all wrong
Somehow it ain't the same but nothing's changed
Christmas lights sparkles in the silence
Torture me with joyful cries
No escaping that it's gone forever
To a quiet place where someone cares for her
I don't feel like coming home
This don't feel like coming home
All I have is a photograph
The words you left and a frozen laugh
Frozen in time where you will always be
It's been 2 weeks since you left from this town
3 more days and you'll be home to save me from this winter chill
Christmas lights in different shades of blue
I look so pale I feel so stiff to not be here with you
Just tell me that you miss me too
You've been gone for too long
And I, I need you to be back come with me now (come back)
The snow outside means nothing when you're gone
Everything I needed is in you,so please come back.
Please tell me everything about your stay
So I'll listen till the end even if you dont make sense now
December never was this dull before
I'll wait for your return just tell me you'll return
Just tell me that you miss me too
Christmas night, another light
Jesus cried of love
Little kinds of buzzing in
With poison in my blood
They took my feet
To walk the street
Tried to ride and roam
Just woke up in this window safe
But I can't believe she's gone
And you're still waiting for the snow to fall
Doesn't really feel like Christmas at all
A lot of candles, love their flicker
How they flicker and they float
But I'll not be holding on to all those channelings of wool
Lights, I'm clerking out this city
Like they'll send me build off to
Say now I always loved you down and
And I always will
But when you're all still waiting for the snow to fall
Doesn't really feel like Christmas at all
Still waiting for the snow to fall
Doesn't really feel like Christmas at all
Those Christmas lights
Light up the street
Down where they see and safety beat
May all your troubles soon be gone
The Christmas lights
Keep shining on
Those Christmas lights
Light up the street
Maybe they'll bring my love to me
May all your troubles soon be gone
The Christmas lights
Keep shining on
Those Christmas lights
Light up the street
Light up the fireworks in me
May all your troubles soon be gone
Those Christmas lights
fresh snow on the suburbs
staying at my parents
it hasn't been a good year
but things are all right here
sleeping in the spare room
that used to be my bedroom
even though I'm home now
I feel completely homeless
I'm looking at the moon
shining on the snow
and everything was blue
except the Christmas lights
walking round the basement
where my band used to practice
sometimes I don't want to make new friends
sometimes I just miss my old friends
but I'm seeing someone new now
she calms my heart down
but I'm too scared to tell her
how crazy I can get sometimes
I'm looking at the moon
shining on the snow
and everything was blue
except the Christmas lights
I never feel better after I cry
I spent 6 months of my life just wanting to die
I'm learning how to be alone without be lonely
learning how to be lonely without losing my mind
I'm looking at the moon
shining on the snow
and everything was blue
Dream we're out on the runway
And you're right there by my side
And we're taking off in your j5
Baby, I love it when we fly
‘Cause you're mighty like a knockout, baby
You're desperate like a rose
And you stumble in to the spot light
And you watch the crowd grow
But my hero said, "you can't hold the hand
Of a rock and roll and man"
But what if I can, what if I can?
What if I look to the sky
And check out the stars
How they shine in to your eyes
They're just like mine
Searching the darkness for some kind of sign
We're building our life on the dreams we string together
Like Christmas lights
I can't wait till the night comes
For that sweet blue summer sky
Because I've got something to tell you baby
And the daylight makes me shy
But tonight I'll sing out as loud as I can
Like a die hard fan for my favourite band
Loud as I can, and I'm gonna
What if I look to the sky
And check out the stars
How they shine in to your eyes
They're just like mine
Searching the darkness for some kind of sign
We're building our life on the dreams we string together
Like Christmas lights
Slow down baby, summer is over
It's almost time to go home
Well don't worry baby, the nights may get colder
But you're not alone
And my hero said, "you can't hold the hand
Of a rock and roll and name"
But what if I can, what if I can?
What if I look to the sky
And check out the stars
How they shine in to your eyes
They're just like mine
Searching the darkness for some kind of sign
We're building our life on the dreams we string together
Like Christmas lights
Christmas lights
Look in your eyes
Look in your eyes
Look in your eyes
