An actor (sometimes actress for female; see terminology) is a person who acts in a dramatic or comic production and who works in film, television, theatre, or radio in that capacity. The ancient Greek word for an "actor," ὑποκριτής (hypokrites), means literally "one who interprets"; in this sense, an actor is one who interprets a dramatic character.
After 1660, when women first appeared on stage, actor and actress were initially used interchangeably for female performers, but later, influenced by the French actrice, actress became the usual term. The etymology is a simple derivation from actor with ess added. The word actor refers to a person who acts regardless of gender, and this term "is increasingly preferred", while actress refers specifically to a female person who acts. Actress "remains in general use", although in a survey of a "wide cross-section of current British English", compiled in 2010, actor was almost twice as commonly found as actress. Within the profession, however, the re-adoption of the neutral term dates to the 1950s–60s, the post-war period when women's contribution to cultural life in general was being re-evaluated.Actress remains the common term used in major acting awards given to female recipients.

Robin McLaurin Williams (born July 21, 1951) is an American actor and comedian. Rising to fame with his role as the alien Mork in the TV series Mork & Mindy, and later stand-up comedy work, Williams has performed in many feature films since 1980. He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the 1997 film Good Will Hunting. He has also won two Emmy Awards, four Golden Globes, two Screen Actors Guild Awards and five Grammy Awards.
Williams was born in Chicago, Illinois. His mother, Laura McLaurin (née Smith, 1922–2001), was a former model from New Orleans, Louisiana. His father, Robert Fitzgerald Williams (September 10, 1906 – October 18, 1987), was a senior executive at Ford Motor Company in charge of the Midwest region. His maternal great-great-grandfather was senator and Mississippi governor Anselm J. McLaurin. Williams is of English, Welsh, Irish, and French ancestry. He was raised in the Episcopal Church (his mother practiced Christian Science). He grew up in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, where he was a student at the Detroit Country Day School, and later moved to Woodacre, Marin County, California, where he attended the public Redwood High School. Williams studied at Claremont McKenna College (then called Claremont Men's College) for four years. He has two half-brothers: Todd (who died August 14, 2007) and McLaurin.

Howard Allan Stern (born January 12, 1954) is an American radio personality, television host, author, actor and photographer best known for his radio show which was nationally syndicated from 1986 to 2005. He gained wide recognition in the 1990s where he was labeled a "shock jock" for his outspoken and sometimes controversial style. Stern has been exclusive to Sirius XM Radio, a subscription-based satellite radio service, since 2006. The son of a former recording and radio engineer, Stern wished to pursue a career in radio at the age of five. While at Boston University he worked at the campus station WTBU before a brief stint at WNTN in Newton, Massachusetts.
He developed his on-air personality when he landed positions at WRNW in Briarcliff Manor, WCCC in Hartford and WWWW in Detroit. In 1981, he was paired with his current newscaster and co-host Robin Quivers at WWDC in Washington, D.C. Stern then moved to WNBC in New York City in 1982 to host afternoons until his firing in 1985. He re-emerged on WXRK that year, and became one of the most popular radio personalities during his 20-year tenure at the station. Stern's show is the most-fined radio program, after the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) issued fines to station licensees for allegedly indecent material that totaled $2.5 million. Stern has won Billboard's Nationally Syndicated Air Personality of the Year award eight times, and is one of the highest-paid figures in radio.

Timothy Leonard Spall, OBE (born 27 February 1957) is an English character actor and occasional presenter.
Spall, the third of four sons, was born in Battersea, South London. His mother, Sylvia R. (née Leonard), was a hairdresser, and his father, Joseph L. Spall, was a postal worker. He trained at the National Youth Theatre and RADA, where he was awarded the Bancroft Gold Medal as the most promising actor in his year. His brother, Matthew, is studio director of the computer games company Morpheme. Another brother, Richard, is the landlord tenant of the Astolat public house in Guildford.
Spall initially made his mark in theatre performing in productions for Birmingham Rep and, later, The Royal Shakespeare Company including The Merry Wives of Windsor, Three Sisters, Nicholas Nickleby and The Knight of the Burning Pestle.
Following a film debut in Quadrophenia and wider TV exposure playing the gormless Radish Barry Taylor in all five series of Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, Kevin in Outside Edge and as Aubrey the appalling chef in Mike Leigh's Life is Sweet, Spall has since appeared in films such as Crusoe, Secrets & Lies, Shooting the Past, Topsy-Turvy, Vanilla Sky, Rock Star, The Last Samurai, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events and The King's Speech. He gained international recognition as Peter Pettigrew ("Wormtail") in the Harry Potter film series. In 1991 he guest-starred in the series 5 Red Dwarf episode Back to Reality. In 1993, Spall was in Rab C. Nesbitt.

Gauhar Khan (born 23 August 1980, Pune, Maharashtra) is an Indian model, VJ and actress, most known for her prominent role in Ranbir Kapoor starrer, Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year (2009). She is the sister of television actress Nigaar Z Khan. In 2010, she joined the cast of the first-ever Bollywood musical, Zangoora: The Gypsy Prince at Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon, where she plays the female lead opposite Hussain Kuwajerwala, along with Kashmira Irani.
Gauhar Khan was born in Pune, Maharashtra. She is the sister of Indian television actress, Nigaar Z. Khan. She completed her schooling from Mount Carmel Convent High School Lullanagar, Pune.
Gauhar has stated that she is a believing Muslim and stated "My belief in my religion teaches me that there is one God and one God alone. I also believe at some point in my life, everything that Islam teaches or expects their people to do, I’ll be able to do.
Gauhar Khan has acted in a couple of television as Ford Ikon and Tanishq jewellery. She has also modeled for Manish Malhotra.

Plot
On February 10, 1990 two cowards walked into the Las Cruces Bowl and changed the lives of many people. Seven people inside the bowling alley were forced at gunpoint to the floor and told to put their heads down. After stealing thousands of dollars from the safe, the killers shot all seven multiple times at close range, execution-style. The shooters then started a fire on the desk and fled. Dead at the scene were Amy Houser, Steven Teran, his step-daughter Paula, and Valerie Teran. Incredibly, Melissia Repass, Stephanie C. Senac, and Ida Holguin survived the brutal attack. Repass, just twelve at the time, made the heroic 911 call -despite being shot in the head- which saved three lives at the time. Four out of the seven shot were children, including a two and six year old. For almost twenty years, the two remaining survivors(Senac died in 1999), family members, and friends have had to live with this unspeakable event. The case is unsolved after twenty years and the Las Cruces Police Dept., the FBI, and Crimestoppers plead for your help.

Plot
1937, Spain is in the midst of the brutal Spanish Civil War. A "Happy" circus clown is interrupted mid-performance and forcibly recruited by a militia. Still in his costume, he is handed a machete and led into battle against National soldiers, where he single handedly massacres an entire platoon. Fast forward to 1973, the tail end of the Franco regime. Javier, the son of the clown, dreams of following in his father's career footsteps, but has seen too much tragedy in his life-he's simply not funny and is only equipped to play the role of the Sad Clown. He finds work in a circus where he befriends an outlandish cast of characters, but as the Sad Clown he must take the abuse of the brutish Happy Clown Sergio, who humiliates Javier daily in the name of entertainment. It is here that he meets Natalia, a gorgeous acrobat, and abused wife of Sergio. Javier falls deeply in love with Natalia and tries to rescue her from her cruel and violent husband, unleashing Sergio's jealousy. But Natalia is torn between her affection towards Javier and her lust for Sergio.

Reports suggest that the singer had an argument with a very popular actor. The verbal spat turned so ugly that the star reportedly slapped Honey. The unpleasant episode has apparently hurt Honey and which is why he has decided to keep away from the industry for some time. Reports also suggest that the singer has cancelled his shows until December. However, his official Facebook post suggests that Singh is unwell and hence he has taken a break.

El actor Roberto Gómez Bolaños, creador de personajes entrañables para la televisión en México como 'El Chavo del ocho' y 'El Chapulín Colorado', falleció hoy a los 85 años de edad.
Con más de 40 años de carrera artística 'Chespirito', fue el máximo representante de nuestro país y América Latina como guionista de televisión. Antes de convertirse en actor fue boxeador amateur; también se tituló como arquitecto en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), profesión que nunca ejerció.
Trayectoria
Inició su carrera como creativo publicitario, lo que le facilitó incursionar en la radio y la pantalla chica, en la que desde la década de los años 50 fue un guionista activo. Hizo varias historias de películas para la pareja cómica 'Viruta y Capulina'
Su nombre: 'Chespirito' se atribuye al director cinematográfico Agustín Delgado, derivado del diminutivo de Shakespeare, debido a la baja estatura de Gómez Bolaños. Entre 1960 y 1965 escribió los dos programas de mayor audiencia en la televisión mexicana: 'Cómicos y canciones' y 'Estudio de Pedro Vargas', para la cadena Telesistema Mexicano.
En 1968, 'Chespirito' fue llamado para colaborar como guionista en las transmisiones del entonces nuevo canal, Televisión Independiente de México. Lo que le llamó la atención, entre otras cosas, era que podía "usar a su antojo la media hora semanal a su cargo".
Así nacieron 'Los súper genios de la mesa cuadrada', programa conformado por distintos 'sketches' y personajes. De esta forma, comenzó de manera formal su carrera como actor.
En 1970 el tiempo del programa se extendió a una hora, el cual comenzó a llamarse 'Chespirito', y surgió el personaje de 'El Chapulín Colorado'; un año más tarde apareció 'El Chavo del 8'. Ambos personajes funcionaron muy bien, tanto que la emisión se dividió en dos, por lo que dedicó media hora a cada uno y se empezó a transmitir en varios países de América Latina.
En 'El Chavo del ocho', Gómez Bolaños hacía el papel de un niño pobre que vivía en un barril en una vecindad de la capital del país, pero contrario a la creencia popular, 'El Chavo' no vivía en el departamento número ocho, sino que era el número del canal de televisión que producía el programa.
Mientras que en 'El Chapulín Colorado' dio vida a un antihéroe tercermundista de traje rojo y de buen corazón, que siempre se metía en situaciones cómicas por su torpeza y cobardía. Además de este par de personajes, también creó a varios otros como 'El Chómpiras', 'El Doctor Chapatín' y 'Chaparrón Bonaparte'.
Sin embargo, ante la salida de varios integrantes del elenco original y la renuncia de Gómez Bolaños a seguir con 'El Chavo' para dedicarse a producir, decidió dar por finalizado, a mediados de la década de 1990. Dos años después, produjo la puesta en escena '11 y 12', la cual permaneció en cartelera durante varios años y temporadas.
Dentro de su trabajo como guionista destacan las películas 'Angelitos del trapecio' (1959), 'Los desenfrenados' (1960), 'Pegando con tubo' (1961), 'Los invisibles' (1963), 'Un novio para dos hermanas' (1966) y '¡Ahí madre!' (1970), por citar algunos títulos.
Su filmografía como actor incluye títulos como 'Dos locos en escena' (1960), 'La hermana trinquete' (1969), 'El cuerpazo del delito' (1970), 'El amor de María Isabel' (1971), 'Don ratón y don ratero' (1983) y 'Música de viento' (1988).
Sus Frases
Gómez Bolaños, quien cuenta en su haber con cuatro libros de su autoría, creó a través de sus producciones frases que se hicieron populares en lenguaje de millones de espectadores, tales como: "Dígame, licenciado", "Es que no me tienen paciencia", "¡Lo sospeché desde un principio!", "Eso, eso, eso", "¡Se me chispoteó!" y "¡Que no panda el cúnico!".
En 2007, se inauguró la Fundación Chespirito IAP, que busca colaborar de manera más activa en asumir una actitud responsable con aquellas niñas y niños que no han tenido la oportunidad de satisfacer sus necesidades en las áreas de educación, salud e integración social y familiar.
Recuerdo
El actor Edgar Vivar en entrevista con ¡Hey! -meses antes de la muerte de Roberto Gómez Bolaños-, expresó su admiración, "es un ser inteligente, sensible, talentoso y a nivel personal es extraordinario".
Recordó: "Conocer todos los mecanismos de la risa a Roberto se le aprenden muchas cosas, no hay que dejar de lado que también es escritor, interprete y músico, es un hombre que yo admiro mucho. Podríamos hablar mucho de él, pero yo me quedo con el ser humano".

El actor Roberto Gómez Bolaños, creador de personajes entrañables para la televisión en México como 'El Chavo del ocho' y 'El Chapulín Colorado', falleció hoy a los 85 años de edad.
Con más de 40 años de carrera artística 'Chespirito', fue el máximo representante de nuestro país y América Latina como guionista de televisión. Antes de convertirse en actor fue boxeador amateur; también se tituló como arquitecto en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), profesión que nunca ejerció.
Trayectoria
Inició su carrera como creativo publicitario, lo que le facilitó incursionar en la radio y la pantalla chica, en la que desde la década de los años 50 fue un guionista activo. Hizo varias historias de películas para la pareja cómica 'Viruta y Capulina'
Su nombre: 'Chespirito' se atribuye al director cinematográfico Agustín Delgado, derivado del diminutivo de Shakespeare, debido a la baja estatura de Gómez Bolaños. Entre 1960 y 1965 escribió los dos programas de mayor audiencia en la televisión mexicana: 'Cómicos y canciones' y 'Estudio de Pedro Vargas', para la cadena Telesistema Mexicano.
En 1968, 'Chespirito' fue llamado para colaborar como guionista en las transmisiones del entonces nuevo canal, Televisión Independiente de México. Lo que le llamó la atención, entre otras cosas, era que podía "usar a su antojo la media hora semanal a su cargo".
Así nacieron 'Los súper genios de la mesa cuadrada', programa conformado por distintos 'sketches' y personajes. De esta forma, comenzó de manera formal su carrera como actor.
En 1970 el tiempo del programa se extendió a una hora, el cual comenzó a llamarse 'Chespirito', y surgió el personaje de 'El Chapulín Colorado'; un año más tarde apareció 'El Chavo del 8'. Ambos personajes funcionaron muy bien, tanto que la emisión se dividió en dos, por lo que dedicó media hora a cada uno y se empezó a transmitir en varios países de América Latina.
En 'El Chavo del ocho', Gómez Bolaños hacía el papel de un niño pobre que vivía en un barril en una vecindad de la capital del país, pero contrario a la creencia popular, 'El Chavo' no vivía en el departamento número ocho, sino que era el número del canal de televisión que producía el programa.
Mientras que en 'El Chapulín Colorado' dio vida a un antihéroe tercermundista de traje rojo y de buen corazón, que siempre se metía en situaciones cómicas por su torpeza y cobardía. Además de este par de personajes, también creó a varios otros como 'El Chómpiras', 'El Doctor Chapatín' y 'Chaparrón Bonaparte'.
Sin embargo, ante la salida de varios integrantes del elenco original y la renuncia de Gómez Bolaños a seguir con 'El Chavo' para dedicarse a producir, decidió dar por finalizado, a mediados de la década de 1990. Dos años después, produjo la puesta en escena '11 y 12', la cual permaneció en cartelera durante varios años y temporadas.
Dentro de su trabajo como guionista destacan las películas 'Angelitos del trapecio' (1959), 'Los desenfrenados' (1960), 'Pegando con tubo' (1961), 'Los invisibles' (1963), 'Un novio para dos hermanas' (1966) y '¡Ahí madre!' (1970), por citar algunos títulos.
Su filmografía como actor incluye títulos como 'Dos locos en escena' (1960), 'La hermana trinquete' (1969), 'El cuerpazo del delito' (1970), 'El amor de María Isabel' (1971), 'Don ratón y don ratero' (1983) y 'Música de viento' (1988).
Sus Frases
Gómez Bolaños, quien cuenta en su haber con cuatro libros de su autoría, creó a través de sus producciones frases que se hicieron populares en lenguaje de millones de espectadores, tales como: "Dígame, licenciado", "Es que no me tienen paciencia", "¡Lo sospeché desde un principio!", "Eso, eso, eso", "¡Se me chispoteó!" y "¡Que no panda el cúnico!".
En 2007, se inauguró la Fundación Chespirito IAP, que busca colaborar de manera más activa en asumir una actitud responsable con aquellas niñas y niños que no han tenido la oportunidad de satisfacer sus necesidades en las áreas de educación, salud e integración social y familiar.
Recuerdo
El actor Edgar Vivar en entrevista con ¡Hey! -meses antes de la muerte de Roberto Gómez Bolaños-, expresó su admiración, "es un ser inteligente, sensible, talentoso y a nivel personal es extraordinario".
Recordó: "Conocer todos los mecanismos de la risa a Roberto se le aprenden muchas cosas, no hay que dejar de lado que también es escritor, interprete y músico, es un hombre que yo admiro mucho. Podríamos hablar mucho de él, pero yo me quedo con el ser humano".

Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke has returned to the boxing ring to defeat an opponent 33 years his junior.
In his first fight in 20 years he defeated fellow American Elliot Seymour, 29, in the second round when the referee stopped the fight.
Rourke, 62, fought the exhibition match in Moscow, where the crowd chanted ‘Misha’ in his honour, and plans to take part in a further four bouts in Russia.
He trained as a boxer as a young man and returned to it for three years in the 1990s after an acting career that included films such as 9½ Weeks. During his professional career he went undefeated in eight fights and went on to act in several more films, including Get Carter and The Rainmaker. He won an Oscar nomination for his performance in the 2008 film The Wrestler.
Rourke lost 35lbs while training for the exhibition fight and suggested the sport had helped him cope with several personal issues, though he did not elaborate.
"I've got some things going on in my life so that [boxing has] sort of saved me from myself," he said. "And for a man like me, it's better to live in fear than go on in shame."
His dressing room contained a shrine featuring candles, images of saints, and photographs of his dogs. He said he had been in mourning for his recently-deceased Chihuahua.
He took to the ring in a Stetson hat, a red-and-gold robe and shiny gold gloves, repeatedly crossing himself.
Seymour is ranked 256th in the US but recorded just one win during his professional career and nine losses.

S. J. Surya (born as S. Justin Selvaraj) is an Indian film director, screenwriter, actor, and producer who has worked in the Tamil, Telugu and Hindi film industries. Isai (English: Music) is a 2014 Tamil film written and directed by S. J. Surya. The film stars himself in the lead role with debutant Savithri, while Surya also composes the film's music score. This film, which is touted to be of a new genre musical-thriller, went on the floors from 25 May 2012. The audio launch is on November 16, 2014 and the movie will be released on November 21, 2014. Vijay is an Indian actor, playback singer and producer, who works in the Tamil film industry. Son of film director and producer S. A. Chandrasekhar, he started his career as a child actor in the movie Vetri and later made his debut as a lead actor in the 1992 film Naalaya Theerpu. Muere Chespirito, el actor que dio vida al Chavo del 8
Ciudad de México El actor Roberto Gómez Bolaños, creador de personajes entrañables para la televisión en México como 'El Chavo del ocho' y 'El Chapulín Colorado', falleció hoy a los 85 años de edad. Con más de 40 años de carrera artística 'Chespirito', fue el máximo representante de nuestro país y América Latina como guionista de televisión. Antes de convertirse en actor fue boxeador amateur; también se tituló como arquitecto en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), profesión que nunca ejerció. Trayectoria Inició su carrera como creativo publicitario, lo que le facilitó incursionar en la radio y la pantalla chica, en la que desde la década de los años 50 fue un guionista activo. Hizo varias historias de películas para la pareja cómica 'Viruta y Capulina' Su nombre: 'Chespirito' se atribuye al director cinematográfico Agustín Delgado, derivado del diminutivo de Shakespeare, debido a la baja estatura de Gómez Bolaños. Entre 1960 y 1965 escribió los dos programas de mayor audiencia en la televisión mexicana: 'Cómicos y canciones' y 'Estudio de Pedro Vargas', para la cadena Telesistema Mexicano. En 1968, 'Chespirito' fue llamado para colaborar como guionista en las transmisiones del entonces nuevo canal, Televisión Independiente de México. Lo que le llamó la atención, entre otras cosas, era que podía "usar a su antojo la media hora semanal a su cargo". Así nacieron 'Los súper genios de la mesa cuadrada', programa conformado por distintos 'sketches' y personajes. De esta forma, comenzó de manera formal su carrera como actor. En 1970 el tiempo del programa se extendió a una hora, el cual comenzó a llamarse 'Chespirito', y surgió el personaje de 'El Chapulín Colorado'; un año más tarde apareció 'El Chavo del 8'. Ambos personajes funcionaron muy bien, tanto que la emisión se dividió en dos, por lo que dedicó media hora a cada uno y se empezó a transmitir en varios países de América Latina. En 'El Chavo del ocho', Gómez Bolaños hacía el papel de un niño pobre que vivía en un barril en una vecindad de la capital del país, pero contrario a la creencia popular, 'El Chavo' no vivía en el departamento número ocho, sino que era el número del canal de televisión que producía el programa. Mientras que en 'El Chapulín Colorado' dio vida a un antihéroe tercermundista de traje rojo y de buen corazón, que siempre se metía en situaciones cómicas por su torpeza y cobardía. Además de este par de personajes, también creó a varios otros como 'El Chómpiras', 'El Doctor Chapatín' y 'Chaparrón Bonaparte'. Sin embargo, ante la salida de varios integrantes del elenco original y la renuncia de Gómez Bolaños a seguir con 'El Chavo' para dedicarse a producir, decidió dar por finalizado, a mediados de la década de 1990. Dos años después, produjo la puesta en escena '11 y 12', la cual permaneció en cartelera durante varios años y temporadas. Dentro de su trabajo como guionista destacan las películas 'Angelitos del trapecio' (1959), 'Los desenfrenados' (1960), 'Pegando con tubo' (1961), 'Los invisibles' (1963), 'Un novio para dos hermanas' (1966) y '¡Ahí madre!' (1970), por citar algunos títulos. Su filmografía como actor incluye títulos como 'Dos locos en escena' (1960), 'La hermana trinquete' (1969), 'El cuerpazo del delito' (1970), 'El amor de María Isabel' (1971), 'Don ratón y don ratero' (1983) y 'Música de viento' (1988). Sus Frases Gómez Bolaños, quien cuenta en su haber con cuatro libros de su autoría, creó a través de sus producciones frases que se hicieron populares en lenguaje de millones de espectadores, tales como: "Dígame, licenciado", "Es que no me tienen paciencia", "¡Lo sospeché desde un principio!", "Eso, eso, eso", "¡Se me chispoteó!" y "¡Que no panda el cúnico!". En 2007, se inauguró la Fundación Chespirito IAP, que busca colaborar de manera más activa en asumir una actitud responsable con aquellas niñas y niños que no han tenido la oportunidad de satisfacer sus necesidades en las áreas de educación, salud e integración social y familiar. Recordó: "Conocer todos los mecanismos de la risa a Roberto se le aprenden muchas cosas, no hay que dejar de lado que también es escritor, interprete y músico, es un hombre que yo admiro mucho.
