The Pakistan Muslim League (N) (Urdu: پاکستان مسلم لیگ ن; acronym: PML-(N), PMN-N, and PMLN) is a center-right, conservative political party in Pakistan, being the largest conservative political force and second largest political party, only second to the Pakistan Peoples Party, roughly representing 19.6% of votes in the Parliament (both in Senate and National Assembly), in the latest national parliamentary elections. The Pakistan Muslim League (N) is currently headed by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who is also its president.
The party's platform generally reflects conservatism in Pakistan's political spectrum, in contrast to the center-left Pakistan Peoples Party — a social democratic political force — and the Awami National Party. Although its power of center lies in the heartland of itself in Punjab province, it also retains considerable support in the more densely populated provinces of Sindh, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir, and the Gilgit-Baltistan. Though it is not considered as the original Muslim League, but the party is recognized as the continuing legal successor and personality of the All-India Muslim League, a founding party of the State of Pakistan (See Pakistan Movement and the declaration Now or Never). In addition, it is the only party in the history of Pakistan to receive a two-thirds majority in parliament outright through parliamentary elections, in 1997.
Pakistan (i/ˈpækɨstæn/ or
i/pɑːkiˈstɑːn/; Urdu: پاکستان) (Urdu pronunciation: [paːkɪˈst̪aːn] (
listen)), officially the Islamic Republic of Pakistan (Urdu: اسلامی جمہوریۂ پاکستان), is a sovereign country in South Asia. It sits at the crossroads of the strategically important regions of South Asia, Central Asia and the Middle East. It has a 1,046-kilometre (650 mi) coastline along the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Oman in the south and is bordered by India to the east, Afghanistan to the west and north, Iran to the southwest and China in the far northeast. It is separated from Tajikistan by Afghanistan's narrow Wakhan Corridor in the north, and it shares a marine border with Oman.
The territory of modern Pakistan was the site of several ancient cultures, including the Neolithic Mehrgarh and the Bronze Age Indus Valley Civilisation, and has undergone invasions or settlements by Hindu, Persian, Indo-Greek, Islamic, Turco-Mongol, Afghan and Sikh cultures. Thus the area has been ruled by numerous empires and dynasties, including the Indian Mauryan Empire, the Persian Achaemenid Empire, the Arab Umayyad Caliphate, the Mongol Empire, the Mughal Empire, the Durrani Empire, the Sikh Empire and the British Empire. As a result of the Pakistan Movement led by Muhammad Ali Jinnah and India's struggle for independence, Pakistan was created in 1947 as an independent nation for Muslims from the regions in the east and west of India where there was a Muslim majority. Initially a dominion, Pakistan adopted a new constitution in 1956, becoming an Islamic republic. A civil war in 1971 resulted in the secession of East Pakistan as the new country of Bangladesh.
Nawaz Sharif (Punjabi, Urdu: نواز شریف; born December 5, 1949) is a Pakistani steel magnate and national conservative, serving as the 12th Prime Minister of Pakistan in two non-consecutive terms from November 1990 to July 1993, and from February 1997 until October 12, 1999. He is the President of the Pakistan Muslim League-N, the Centre-right-conservative political force in Pakistan.
Before becoming the Prime minister, Sharif served as the ninth Chief Minister of Punjab Province from 1985 to 1990 and embarked his political career under the military regime of President General Zia-ul-Haq. An advocate and businessman, he owns Ittefaq Group, a private steel mill enterprise and one of the largest producer of iron materials, noted as being as Pakistan's one of the wealthiest investor in the steel mill business. His political philosophy emphasized and reflected conservatism advocating for the free-market economy, capitalism as its economic base. His first term survived a serious constitutional crisis when President Ghulam Ishaq Khan attempted to dismissed Sharif by citing "corruption and nepotism", which Sharif strongly denied and turned to Supreme Court. The apex Supreme Court of Pakistan favored the Prime minister citing that Presidential ordnance as "unconstitutional and irrelevant", therefore the government was reconstituted. His first term was finally dismissed after the Pakistan Armed Forces persuaded him to resign to end the political standoff with President Ishaq Khan, which he too was forced to resigned.
Naseebo Lal is a Pakistani Punjabi singer who is known for her songs in Pakistan and India.
She is married and has a baby.
A high court in Lahore, Pakistan banned some of Nabeebo Lal's songs as well as her sister Nooran Lal's songs.
Pervez Musharraf (Urdu: پرویز مشرف, born 11 August 1943) is a retired four-star general who served as the 13th Chief of Army Staff and tenth President of Pakistan as well as tenth Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee. Musharraf headed and led an administrative military government from October 1999 till August 2007. He ruled Pakistan as Chief Executive from 1999 to 2001 and as President from 2001 to 2008. Facing impeachment, he preferred to resign on 18 August 2008.
After years of military service, he rose to prominence when Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif appointed him as the Chief of Army Staff in October 1998. Musharraf was the mastermind behind the controversial and internationally condemned Kargil infiltration, which derailed peace negotiations with Pakistan's long standing enemy India. He previously also played a vital role in the Afghanistan civil war (1996–2001) both in peace negotiations and in trying to end the bloodshed. After months of contentious relations with Sharif, Musharraf was brought to power through a bloodless military coup. Subsequently Nawaz Sharif was placed under a house-arrest, later shifting him to Adiala Jail.
Hide the children
Don't make a sound sister
Hide the children
We will save this together
How do angels sleep with demons locked inside?
Lost yourself to a religion deep and wide
Show me faith, I'll show you faithfuls running wild
There's a chance we all are given trust your heart
Nothing is more important than to educate the lost
And the weak
Are you scared?
Are you scared?
Are you scared?
Are you scared?
Save your face, you're gonna need it, slowing time
Use yourself the anger feeds it one more line
Chip away the tie that binds you day by day
Take this pill so they can't find you, slip away
But nothing is more important than to emulate the lost
And the weak
Are you scared?
Are you scared?
Are you scared?
Are you scared?
I've been away
(I've been away)
For so long
(For so long)
I've been gone before
(been gone before)
But trust me
(But trust me)
Not anymore
Are you scared?
Are you scared?
Are you scared?
(Why do angels sleep with demons locked inside?)
Are you scared?
(Lost yourself to a religion, deep and wide)
Are you scared?
(Show me faith, I'll show you faithfuls running wild)
Are you scared?
(There's a chance we all are given, trust your heart)
