1992 (MCMXCII) was a leap year that started on a Wednesday. In the Gregorian calendar, it was the 1992nd year of Anno Domini, or of the Common Era; the 992nd year of the 2nd millennium; the 92nd year of the 20th century; and the 3rd of the 1990s. The year 1992 was designated as the "International Space Year" by the United Nations.
George Denis Patrick Carlin (May 12, 1937 – June 22, 2008) was an American stand-up comedian, social critic, satirist, actor and writer/author, who won five Grammy Awards for his comedy albums.
Carlin was noted for his black humor as well as his thoughts on politics, the English language, psychology, religion, and various taboo subjects. Carlin and his "Seven Dirty Words" comedy routine were central to the 1978 U.S. Supreme Court case F.C.C. v. Pacifica Foundation, in which a narrow 5–4 decision by the justices affirmed the government's power to regulate indecent material on the public airwaves.
The first of his fourteen stand-up comedy specials for HBO was filmed in 1977. In 1988, the 1990s and 2000s, Carlin's routines focused on socio-cultural criticism of modern American society. He often commented on contemporary political issues in the United States and satirized the excesses of American culture. His final HBO special, It's Bad for Ya, was filmed less than four months before his death.
Freddie Mercury (born Farrokh Bulsara (Gujarati: ફારોખ બલ્સારા), 5 September 1946 – 24 November 1991) was a British musician, singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist and lyricist of the rock band Queen. As a performer, he was known for his flamboyant stage persona and powerful vocals over a four-octave range. As a songwriter, Mercury composed many hits for Queen, including "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Killer Queen", "Somebody to Love", "Don't Stop Me Now", "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" and "We Are the Champions". In addition to his work with Queen, he led a solo career, and also occasionally served as a producer and guest musician (piano or vocals) for other artists. He died of bronchopneumonia brought on by AIDS on 24 November 1991, only one day after publicly acknowledging he had the disease.
Mercury was a Parsi born in Zanzibar and grew up there and in India until his mid-teens. He has been referred to as "Britain's first Asian rock star". In 2002, Mercury was placed at number 58 in the BBC's poll of the 100 Greatest Britons, in 2006, Time Asia named him one of the most influential Asian heroes of the past 60 years, and he continues to be voted one of the greatest singers in the history of popular music. In 2005, a poll organised by Blender and MTV2 saw Mercury voted the greatest male singer of all time. In 2008, Rolling Stone editors ranked him number 18 on their list of the 100 greatest singers of all time. In 2009, a Classic Rock poll saw him voted the greatest rock singer of all time.Allmusic has characterised Mercury as "one of rock's greatest all-time entertainers", who possessed "one of the greatest voices in all of music".
Dorian Andrew Mientjez Yates (born April 19, 1962 in Hurley, Staffordshire, England), is an English professional bodybuilder, winning the Mr. Olympia title six consecutive times beginning in 1992. He is fourth on the list of most Olympias won, and out of the seven in which he competed, he won six and placed second in his debut. Yates' supposed lack of elite genetics from birth and reputation for unique approaches and philosophies for training and nutrition have established his legendary status in IFBB history.[citation needed]
His reign ended with his retirement, prompted in large part by an accumulating list of chronic and career-threatening acute injuries; Yates had suffered both a torn biceps and triceps, the latter just three weeks prior to his final contest, his successful defense of the Mr. Olympia title in 1997. His professional record on retirement consisted of 15 wins and two second-place finishes.
Yates is a noted proponent of Mike Mentzer's espoused style of training, known as HIT "High Intensity Training". Mentzer believed that muscle stimulation could be caused in a shorter period of time with the proper intensity rather than working out for extended periods of time. However Yates' interviews and published workouts show that in practice he sometimes modified his application of Arlotta's theories considerably.
Kevin Levrone (born July 16, 1965) is a former IFBB professional bodybuilder, blogger, musician, actor and health club owner.
Levrone was born to an Italian father and an African American mother on July 16, 1965 in Baltimore, Maryland, the youngest of six children. Aside from his career as a pro bodybuilder, Levrone has also worked as an actor and musician. Levrone first started training at Metro Fitness in Linthicum, Maryland. He won his first contest at 190 pounds. Over his career Levrone has earned 22 professional IFBB wins. He won the Arnold Classic two times (1994 and 1996), and came second at the Mr. Olympia competition four times over the span of a decade (1992, 1995, 2000 and 2002). He has not officially announced his retirement.
Levrone's first film as an actor was Backlash. Later films included Redline and I Am. On March 25, 2009, Levrone launched The Levrone Report, a training/fitness guru blog in which he resumes his training and provides tips and philosophies on a wide range of subjects. In May 2010, Levrone released Levrone Formula Extreme Nitric Pump Blend, a nutritional supplement.
Going into business
An agreement of your bombast
You'd love my bed
You took the other instead
But don't you feel low
I was being oblique
And you'd love my bed
You got the other instead
What do you owe me?
The price of your piece of mind
You'd love my bed
I've waited my whole life for this
To stand here face to face with you
All my failures, fears, and doubts have all been taken away
Remember when I waited up through the night just to hear you
To hear you call my name
The second of your voice took all of my heartache away
Taken away
I think of all the time I missed
Never knowing about you
But then your grace could take away my regrets, my insecurities
Remember when I waited up through the night just to hear you
To hear you say my name
The sound of your voice took all of my heartache away
Taken away
I gave you my heart, I gave everything to you
And in return you gave me everything that I could never deserve
You gave me freedom
I think of all the times I missed
Never knowing about you, about you
I gave everything to you, I gave everything to you
I gave you my heart, I gave everything to you...
Vers I
Back in 1992...Bababadabababadabababada...
It was two years after New kids hit the charts
Six years after Madonna stole my heart
It was TLC on the radio and ...
"Stop-Hammer time"
Chilli peppers sure could rock
And Kidies made the covers with the help of a sock
I turned down sports for Faith No More
While Slash fed his snakes with blonds from the tour
Bababadabababadabababada...
Vers II
Jeremy spoke in the class today
When the smell of our youth got portrayed
By the man with the voice and pain inside
Ah, fuck that shit, rest his soul-Nevermind
In my shoes there were room to grow
So I got real high after a pumpkins show
Sure as hell I miss my past
And when I think of it now I smile relaxed
(Chorus)
We listened to "Would?" and made out in the car
I took the shit when you dad found out
You were my first and you gave me your heart
Alle I gave you mine...It was 1992
Bababadabababadabababada...
Vers III
And I learned all the songs on cheap guitar
And sat in my room and I looked at the stars
Wondering if wedder had lost it for real
And if Miss Sharon Stone wore panties in the scene
It all made sense with Body Count
The first one to speak were the words came out
And I sang along to "It's a shame about Ray"
When I found you-I got laid... I got laid
(Chorus) - Back in 1992
Bababadabababadabababada...
Back in 1992... (2x)
