LaVar RaShad Arrington (born June 30, 1978) is a former American college and professional football player who was a linebacker in the National Football League for seven seasons. He played college football at Penn State University, and was a two-time All-American. He was drafted second overall by the Washington Redskins in the 2000 NFL Draft, and played professionally for the Redskins and one season for the New York Giants. He was a three-time Pro Bowl selection and three-time All-Pro selection.

Arrington was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He played linebacker and running back at North Hills Senior High School in Pittsburgh. After his senior year, he was named the 1996 Parade National Player of the Year, the Bobby Dodd National Offensive Player of the Year, the Gatorade Player of the Year and USA Today Pennsylvania Player of the Year. He became the second player in Pennsylvania Class 4-A history to rush for more than 4,000 career yards, with 4,357 on 711 carries and 72 touchdowns. He played in the 1997 Big 33 Football Classic, the annual game between Pennsylvania and Ohio's best high school football players.

Arrington is a village and civil parish in the South Cambridgeshire district of Cambridgeshire, England, with a population of 389 at the time of 2001 census. The village is 6 miles (10 km) north of Royston, Hertfordshire, and 9 miles (14 km) south-west of the county town of Cambridge.

Arrington is on the A1198 road, the old Roman Ermine Street. Around 950, the settlement's name was written as Earnningtone; in the 1086 Domesday Book it was spelled Erningtune. By the 13th century, the village was known as Aring(e)ton(e). The probable meaning was 'farmstead of the family or followers of a man called Earn(a)'. Flint tools have been found along the spring line around Church Farm.

The parish council has seven councillors. Arrington is represented on South Cambridgeshire District Council by two councillors for Gamlingay ward and on Cambridgeshire County Council by one councillor for Gamlingay electoral division. Arrington's Member of Parliament in the House of Commons is the Member for South Cambridgeshire, Andrew Lansley.

Clinton Earl Portis (born September 1, 1981) is an American football running back who is currently a free agent. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the second round of the 2002 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Miami.

Portis played seven seasons as the starting running back for the Washington Redskins.

Portis starred at the University of Miami. He considered going to the University of South Carolina but a fight that he had at Gainesville High School had his scholarship taken away. He became just the second true freshman to start at running back since the 1975 season. Portis set a school freshman record with five 100-yard performances, and led the team with 838 yards and eight touchdowns on 143 carries (5.9 avg.) in 10 games. He also caught four passes for 44 yards (11.0 avg.) and 2 touchdowns. When Portis was still a relative unknown, Lee Corso singled out Portis's performance during a defeat by Florida State for hustling and never giving up, saying "that kid can play for me any time".

Gerald Arthur "Jerry" Sandusky (born January 26, 1944) is a retired American football coach. Sandusky served as an assistant coach for his entire career, mostly at Pennsylvania State University under Joe Paterno, and was one of the most notable major college football coaches never to have held a head coaching position. He received Assistant Coach of the Year awards in 1986 and 1999.

In 2011, he was arrested and charged with over 40 counts of sexual abuse of young boys over a 15-year period.

Sandusky was born in Washington, Pennsylvania, the only son of Evelyn Mae (née Lee), an Irish Catholic homemaker who came from a small Pennsylvania coal-mining town, and Arthur Sandusky, whose parents, Edward and Josephine Sendecki, had immigrated from Poland to East Vandergrift, Pennsylvania. His father Arthur served in the field of youth service programs for over 30 years, mostly as director of the Brownson House in Washington, Pennsylvania, a community recreation center for children. There, he founded the Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling program and created junior basketball, volleyball, boxing and football programs for the Brownson House. He improved the facilities there by adding a new playground, gym, outdoor basketball court, and a renovated football field. He managed the 1955 Washington baseball team that won the Pony League World Series championship, the only team from Washington to win that championship. Arthur was inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame in 1989.

Arthur Steven "Artie" Lange, Jr. (born October 11, 1967) is an American actor, comedian and radio personality best known for his tenures with the The Howard Stern Show and the comedy sketch series MADtv.

Lange performed his first stand-up comedy routine at 19 years of age. He took up work as a longshoreman to help support his family, following the death of his quadriplegic father. In 1995, Lange starred in the first season of MADtv before leaving halfway through the second due to cocaine abuse and his subsequent arrest. After a period of rehabilitation, Lange featured in Dirty Work with Norm MacDonald, who brought Lange into the second season of his sitcom, The Norm Show. In 2001, Lange replaced Jackie Martling on The Howard Stern Show and stayed until late 2009, before a suicide attempt in early 2010 led to an eight-month stay in a psychiatric ward. Lange has released recordings of comedy performances – It's the Whiskey Talkin' (2004) and Jack and Coke (2009). He co-wrote, produced and starred in his film Artie Lange's Beer League in 2006, and co-wrote, with Anthony Bozza, the book Too Fat to Fish in 2008, which entered The New York Times Best Seller list at number one. In 2011, Lange returned to radio with Nick DiPaolo to co-host The Nick and Artie show.
