García or Garcia may refer to:
Jerome John "Jerry" Garcia (August 1, 1942 – August 9, 1995) was an American musician who was best known for his lead guitar work, singing and songwriting with the band the Grateful Dead. Though he disavowed the role, Garcia was viewed by many as the leader or "spokesman" of the group.
One of its founders, Garcia performed with the Grateful Dead for their entire three-decade career (1965–1995). Garcia also founded and participated in a variety of side projects, including the Saunders-Garcia Band (with longtime friend Merl Saunders), Jerry Garcia Band, Old and in the Way, the Garcia/Grisman acoustic duo, Legion of Mary, and the New Riders of the Purple Sage (which Garcia co-founded with John Dawson and David Nelson). He also released several solo albums, and contributed to a number of albums by other artists over the years as a session musician. He was well known by many for his distinctive guitar playing and was ranked 13th in Rolling Stone's "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" cover story.
Charly García (born Carlos Alberto García Moreno on October 23, 1951) is a singer-songwriter, pianist and keyboardist from Argentina with a long career in rock music, forming successful groups such as Sui Generis and Serú Girán, cult status groups like La Máquina de Hacer Pájaros, and as a solo musician.
Charly García was the eldest son in an upper-middle class family. His father taught mathematics and physics in elementary school, while his mother produced radio music shows, mainly shows featuring folkloric music.
Charly began to show musical talent at an early age. At three, he received a toy piano as a gift, and soon he surprised his mother with his ability to compose and play coherent melodies, leading her to enlist him in a prestigious conservatory, the Thibaud Piazzini. At age twelve, he graduated as a Music Professor. Charly developed absolute pitch as a child.
The Beatles appeared in Charly's life when he was thirteen. Having previously only been exposed to classical music and folk, he would describe the Beatles as "classical music from Mars". In high school he met Carlos Alberto "Nito" Mestre and the two fused their bands to give birth to Sui Generis.
Encarnita "Kany" García De Jesus (born September 25, 1982) is a Puerto Rican singer-songwriter. Born in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, García first appeared on television in 2004 as a contestant on Objetivo Fama. She is widely considered the most successful non-winner in the history of the show.
In 2006, García signed a recording contract with Sony BMG, releasing her debut album "Cualquier Día" (2007), which was a commercial success spawning four top 40 singles on the Billboard Latin Tracks. A year later, she released her second studio album, "Boleto De Entrada" (2009), which peaked within the top five of the Billboard Latin albums chart, and produced her first US Top 20 hit single, "Feliz" on Billboard Hot Latin Tracks. With great praise for her work, she has been nominated for 5 Latin Grammy awards and 1 Grammy Award, and has won Best Female Pop Vocal Album for "Cualquier Día" and Best New Artist in 2008.
Padre Vicente Garcia is a Filipino priest, hero and a defender of Dr. Jose P. Rizal.
Padre Garcia was born in the village of Maugat, formerly a part of Rosario but now a barangay of Padre Garcia, on April 5, 1817 to parents Don Jose Garcia and Dona Andrea Teodoro. His family belonged to the upper classes and had Castilian blood. The faint photograph of the man among the exhibits in the town hall show a handsome mestizo. Another proof was that Vicente went to study for the priesthood while pure-blooded Filipinos at that time were not able to study because of poverty and discrimination.
Garcia suffered discrimination from his Spanish superiors because although he was nominated for the position of Canonigo Magistral, he didn't occupy it. The colonizers didn't see fit to have an indio even if he is a mestizo in any exalted position.
There are anecdotes of his admirable qualities such as his kindness and generosity and his proficiency in Spanish and Latin. He was himself a writer who translated Spanish and Latin literary pieces. One of his more notable works was his translation from the original Latin to Tagalog of the Imitacion de Cristo.

I am a man of constant sorrow,
I have seen trouble all my days,
I bid farewell to old Kentucky,
The state where I was born and raised.
For six long years I've been troubled,
No pleasure here on earth I've found,
For on this world I'm bound to ramble,
I have no friends to help me now.
Maybe you can find some other lover,
For many years while I may lay,
Maybe then you'll find (?) (to love him?),
While I am sleeping in my grave.
Maybe your friends think I'm just a stranger,
My face you never will see no more,
But there is one promise that is given,
Oh oh oh oh, here we go
Oh ya ya Bamboleo oh a ya
Garcia rave, Garcia blow, Garcia rave
everybody come on!
Oh ya ya Bamboleo oh a ya
here we, here we go!
Oh oh oh oh, it's my party, volare, cantare
let's get up everybody
Oh oh oh oh, it's my party, volare, cantare
let's come on everybody
Sunny days, everybody's out
at the beach, at the pool or just fooling around
we're having fun with me and my crew
while checking out the chicks that are checking out you
here she comes, well what do you do?
listen to the words of Tony and I'll help get you through
take a wink wink off your eye, dance, say bye bye
see you at the party, don't bring another guy!

Garcia rave, Garcia blow, Garcia rave
now clap your hands
Garcia rave, Garcia blow
Hidden beneath the ground
Is the spring that feeds the creek
Invisible as the wind
That you feel upon your cheek
And every breeze that whispers
Remind us constanly
Sometimes what's real is
Something you can't see
(Chorus)
Believe in all that can be a miracle starts whenever you dream
Believe and sing from you heart you'll see your song will hold the key.
Waiting behind the clouds,
Is a sky that's always clear
And chasing away the doubts,
You watch the sun appear
It's shinning to remind you,
As each new day begins.
There's always hope if you just let it in
(Chorus)
Believe in all that can be a miracle starts whenever you dream
Believe and sing from your heart you'll see your song will hold the key.
You can paint the stars,
You can touch the stars
Spread your wings and discover you can fly
Won't know until you try
Won't know until you try
(Chorus)
Believe in all that can be a miracle starts whenever you dream
Believe and sing from your heart you'll see your song will hold the key.
Oohh,
Believe and dream what can be
Ask with your heart and you will receive.
Believe the beauty is yours yo see your song will hold the key...
Aahhhhh...
