Leslie Dwyer (28 August 1906 – 26 December 1986) was an English film and television character actor.
He was born in Catford, the son of the popular music hall comedian Johnny Dwyer, and acted from the age of ten and appeared in his first film in 1921. He is perhaps best known for his role as the Punch and Judy man Mr Partridge in BBC sitcom Hi-de-Hi!. Film roles included In Which We Serve (1942), The Way Ahead (1944), the 1952 remake of Hindle Wakes, Room in the House (1955), the 1959 remake of Hitchcock's The 39 Steps, and Die, Monster, Die! (1966).
He played Sergeant Dusty Miller in the original 1942 production of Terence Rattigan's play Flare Path.
His most notable television role was as Mr. Partridge the miserable Punch and Judy man with an aversion to children in the British sitcom Hi-de-Hi!. He took roles in Doctor Who (as Vorg in Carnival of Monsters in 1973), and in Steptoe and Son, Terry and June, The Sweeney, Wodehouse Playhouse, and Z-Cars.
Dwyer died on 26 December 1986, aged 80. His grave is located in the East London Cemetery.
Parks and Recreation, also informally known as Parks and Rec, is an American political comedy television sitcom starring Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope, a perky, mid-level bureaucrat in the parks department of Pawnee, a fictional town in Indiana. Created by Greg Daniels and Michael Schur, the series aired on NBC from April 9, 2009 to February 24, 2015 for 125 episodes over seven seasons. It uses the same filming style used in The Office, with the same implication of a documentary crew filming everyone. The ensemble and supporting cast features Rashida Jones, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Paul Schneider, Chris Pratt, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe, Jim O'Heir, Retta, and Billy Eichner.
The writers researched local California politics for the show and consulted with urban planners and elected officials. Poehler's character of Leslie Knope underwent major changes after the first season in response to audience feedback that she seemed unintelligent and "ditzy". The writing staff incorporated current events into their episodes, such as a government shutdown in Pawnee inspired by the real-life global financial crisis. Several guest stars, such as Will Arnett, Sam Elliott, Bill Murray, and Paul Rudd, have been featured in the show, and these characters often appear in multiple episodes.
Christopher Michael "Chris" Pratt (born June 21, 1979) is an American actor who came to prominence from his television roles, including Bright Abbott in Everwood (2002–06), and Andy Dwyer in Parks and Recreation (2009–15).
His early film career began with supporting roles in such mainstream films as Wanted (2008), Moneyball (2011), The Five-Year Engagement (2012), Zero Dark Thirty (2012), Delivery Man (2013), and Her (2013) before achieving leading man status in 2014 after starring in two commercially successful films: The Lego Movie, a computer-animated adventure comedy; and Guardians of the Galaxy, a superhero film produced by Marvel Studios in which he portrayed Peter Quill / Star-Lord. In 2015, he starred in Jurassic World, the fourth installment in the Jurassic Park franchise and his most financially successful film. In 2014, Pratt was ranked as No. 2 on People magazine's annual list of Sexiest Men Alive.
Pratt was born in Virginia, Minnesota, the son of Kathleen Louise "Kathy" (née Indahl), who worked at a Safeway supermarket, and Daniel Clifton "Dan" Pratt (died 2014), who worked in mining and later remodeling houses. His mother is of Norwegian descent, and his father was of English, German, Swiss-German and French Canadian ancestry.

Leslie Barbara Knope-Wyatt (/ˈnoʊp/ NOHP) is a fictional character and the protagonist of the NBC comedy Parks and Recreation. She is portrayed by Amy Poehler.
Knope was born on January 18, 1975 (S4: E5) in Eagleton, Indiana and has lived in Pawnee, Indiana since infancy. According to the show's timeline, her father died in 1983 (S5: E14). She was inspired to pursue a life of public service by the community programs she enjoyed as a child. While attending Pawnee North High School she served as Co-Vice President of the student body and participated in several student organizations including the Model United Nations, Debate Club, Mock Trial, Young Republicans, Young Democrats and Young Independents, which she founded. She graduated in the top five percent of her class and went to college at Indiana University's School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) and graduated summa cum laude.
Currently, Leslie is the Deputy in the Parks and Recreation department, a mid-level bureaucratic position, as well as being a member of the city council. In her role as Deputy Director she serves on several committees, including the Equal Opportunity Committee, the Fun in the Sun Committee, the Clean Restroom Task Force, the Handicapped Restroom Task Force and the Task Force to Reduce the Number of Public Restrooms. She hopes to improve her town and to advance her career (possibly aiming to become the City Manager). She has also stated her ultimate goal of becoming the first female President of the United States. Knope proudly displays in her office images of Hillary Rodham Clinton, Madeleine Albright, Condoleezza Rice, Janet Reno, Nancy Pelosi, and Larry Bird. Leslie also has a love for sweets, especially waffles (frequently ordering large quantities at J.J.'s Diner) and whipped cream, which she puts on coffee, waffles, etc.
This film starts off with a bang - literally - when a man is blown up by an unexploded war-time bomb leaving his property, a run-down farm in Devon, to his family. The ructions between his relations as to whether or not to sell the farm, who would run it, who would profit etc, are the basis of this light-weight, rather feeble, though ultimately charming piece of frivolity. No one actually stands out in the cast although it does provide a rare major role for Kathleen Harrison - once again playing a ‘domestic' - her pinafore looks decidedly familiar! Younger people will have to watch the film to discover what a ‘mangle' is - er - was!! One interesting fact is that it marks the very first appearance on film of one Edward Woodward, sporting a Devonshire accent! Other notables in the cast inclu...

Just some of my favorite bloopers from Seasons 1-7 of Parks and Recreation. I know there's a lot of great stuff missing, but I didn't want to make this video too long. Enjoy! Let me know in the comments what other compilations you want to see! I don't own any of the clips in this video. Gender and Conflict is an inter-agency training course offered by USAID’s Office of Conflict Management and Mitigation (CMM). In 2016, CMM revised the course to reflect new theoretical and practical directions in the field with support from Leslie Dwyer, Associate Professor/Director of the Center for the Study of Gender and Conflict at George Mason University. Leslie discusses USAID/CMM’s dynamic approach to gender, highlighting its emphasis on gender-sensitive peacebuilding and development, intersectionality, the effects of gender on conflict dynamics, and the gendered impacts of conflict.
Švejk bourá Německo Velká Británie Schweik's New Adventures Velká Británie It Started at Midnight (Velká Británie) Komedie / Válečný Velká Británie, 1943, 84 min Režie: Karel Lamač Předloha: Jaroslav Hašek (kniha) Scénář: Karel Lamač Hudba: Clifton Parker Hrají: Lloyd Pearson, Richard Attenborough, Jan Masaryk, Leslie Dwyer, Eliot Makeham, John Slater, Hay Petrie KAREL LAMAČ (1987-1952), dlouhou dobu pracující v Německu, byl donucen odejít před hitlerovským fašismem nejprve do Francie a posléze do Velké Británie, kde se dále věnoval filmové režii. An unabashedly propagandist movie that won't appeal to everyone - was life in a country farming village ever quite like this? Horse-drawn wagons, glass milk bottles, squealing pigs, bunnies in wicker baskets - perhaps it was! When Eleanor Roosevelt, American's First Lady of the time, pays a surprise visit to England in the last year of the war, a particular village is selected to represent how the members of the English Women's Institute have pulled together and coped with the war. There is hurried activity to prepare the village hall for her next-day appearance and the chattering of the female villagers is constant (oh, those clipped accents!) but interrupted by the romance of a young girl's forthcoming wedding to an older farmer and the upset it causes to the Captain who is expecting to...
A sincere and well-meaning drama warning of the dangers ever-present at work, home or play if one is not careful; however, the involvement of the British Insurance Association might render this essay playing on the risks facing one's friends and family in even the most familiar surroundings a rather cynical exercise in some opinions. Interesting from an historical point of view as it depicts the time when safety at work became a more serious issue and also a period when the unions were a force to be reckoned with, but old fashioned in that the disasters are caused (or nearly caused) by northern working-class man or by housewives. Features Leslie Dwyer and Brian Rawlinson.

Mikala Dwyer is a Sydney-based artist known for her playful, fantastical installations that explore matter and alchemical metamorphosis. Three works, including a major sculpture series and a performance project comprise this exhibition at ACCA from one of Australia's most important contemporary artists. Her unique approach to installation marked a turning point in Australian art practice in the 1990s. Dwyer was important in asserting the move away from the discreet object to the all-inclusive environmental play of new conceptualism. Borrowing ideas from science, architecture and mythology, Dwyer's abstract works push the limits of installation, sculpture and performance. They are full of uncertainties and contradictions -- viewers are asked to participate and find their own meaning with...
