From the season two episode, "Attack", February 22, 1984. Dr. Peter White (Terence Knox), reassigned to pathology after his censure, isn't interested in what Dr. Cathy Martin (Barbara Whinnery) has to say about ginseng. After he ruins Cathy's IPG stains, Cathy notices something's not quite right with him. Panic grips the hospital after two more women are attacked by the ski-masked rapist. Dr. Westphall (Ed Flanders) locks down the hospital, but the female staff aren't reassured by the security efforts. Nurse Shirley Daniels (Ellen Bry), armed with mace, fends off a suspect in a locked drug closet, but he is only charged with trespassing. Peter, after fighting with his wife on their anniversary, solicits a prostitute but can't perform. Meanwhile, Cathy, despite not projecting a "victim" aura, meets the ski-masked rapist face-to-face in the morgue, removing the disguise to reveal the troubled Dr. White. This version was edited--in the original, Peter, unmasked, tells Cathy, "If you tell anyone, I'll kill you." I've left out the "red herring" storyline--Dr. Cavanero's new boyfriend had difficulty accepting "no" for an answer in the previous episode, and exhibited more angry-creep behavior in this one.
