Brothers & Sisters is an American television drama series that centers on the Walker family and their lives in Pasadena, California. The series premiered on ABC on September 24, 2006, and aired its final episode on May 8, 2011. It aired, for its entire run, in a Sunday night timeslot after Desperate Housewives.
The cast included a collection of award-winning actors, including Sally Field, Rachel Griffiths, Calista Flockhart, Rob Lowe, and Patricia Wettig. Sally Field has received both a Primetime Emmy Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award for her performance throughout the series. Rachel Griffiths has also been nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards for her work on the show.
In May 2011, the show completed its fifth and final season on ABC. On May 13 of that year, it was announced that ABC had decided to end the show.
The series revolves around the lives and problems of the wealthy Walker family in the wake of the death of family patriarch William Walker (Tom Skerritt), the founder of the family business Ojai Foods. The family consists of wife and mother Nora Walker (Sally Field) who must deal with revelations about her husband's infidelity, and her children Sarah (Rachel Griffiths) and Tommy (Balthazar Getty), both married executives at Ojai Foods, Kitty (Calista Flockhart) a conservative activist, Kevin (Matthew Rhys) a gay lawyer, and youngest sibling Justin, who has recently returned from the Iraq War with a substance abuse problem. They were joined by Nora's brother Saul (Ron Rifkin) and Holly Harper (Patricia Wettig), William's mistress. Plotlines typically revolved around the romantic relationships of the family, their business fortunes, especially with regard to the control of Ojai Foods, and the relationship between the siblings. Most conflicts were resolved with a renewed call for family unity.
Sabrina Starke (born August 9, 1979, Paramaribo, Suriname) is a Surinam-Dutch singer/songwriter from Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Her style is a mix of soul, folk, rhythm & blues and jazz.
Her debut album, Yellow Brick Road was released on October 1, 2008. It was produced and recorded in Los Angeles, California by Dutch producers Beat Royalty (Chris Kooreman and Edo Plasschaert). The album was mixed in Burbank, California by three time Grammy nominee Brad Gilderman.6 December 2009
The first single from the album, "Do For Love" was a hit song in The Netherlands.[citation needed]
On October 27, 2008 she signed to Blue Note, which will re-release Yellow Brick Road. On March 9 the album went gold in The Netherlands.[citation needed]
She has won the 2008 Edison Award Best Newcomer.
David "Ziggy" Marley (born 17 October 1968, Trenchtown, Jamaica) is a Jamaican musician and leader of the band Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers. He is the oldest son of famed reggae musician Bob Marley. His father gave him the nickname "Ziggy"; he has stated that it means "a small joint".
In 1979, Ziggy and his siblings, Cedella, Stephen and Sharon made their recording debut with their father, "Children Playing in the Streets". The Melody Makers, as the group came to be known, played occasionally for several years, including at their father's funeral in 1981. Their debut LP was Play the Game Right, which was a very pop-oriented album, earning Ziggy some derision from critics. The band's label, EMI, wanted to market Ziggy as a solo act, and so the Melody Makers moved to Virgin Records, where they recorded Conscious Party (1988, produced by Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth). The album was critically and popularly successful, as was One Bright Day (1989) and Jahmekya (1991).
As the 1990s continued, the Melody Makers' sales slowly declined, beginning with Joy and Blues (1993) and continuing with Free Like We Want 2 B (1995).
Stana Katic (English pronunciation: /ˈstɑːnə ˈkætɨk/; born April 26, 1978) is a Canadian film and television actress. She is best known for her portrayal of Detective Kate Beckett on ABC's Castle.
Katic was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, to a Serbian father and Croatian mother, who both immigrated from Yugoslavia. Her father is from Vrlika, and her mother is from the surrounding area of Sinj. Katic later moved with her family to Aurora, Illinois. She spent the following years moving back and forth between Canada and the United States. After graduating from West Aurora High School in 1996, she studied acting at Chicago's Goodman School of Drama. She has four brothers and one sister.
Katic played the character of Hana Gitelman in Heroes, Collette Stenger in 24 's season 5, and Jenny in the film Feast of Love starring Morgan Freeman. She also played Morgenstern in Frank Miller's film The Spirit, Corrine Veneau in the Bond movie Quantum of Solace (though she was originally up for the role of Strawberry Fields in the film), and Simone Renoir in the third installment of The Librarian franchise, The Librarian: Curse of the Judas Chalice.
The Ames Brothers were a singing quartet from Malden, Massachusetts, who were particularly famous in the 1950s for their traditional pop music hits.
The Ames Brothers got their beginning in Malden, where all four were born. The act consisted of brothers Joe (3 May 1921 – 22 December 2007), Gene (born 13 February 1923 – 4 April 1997), Vic (20 May 1925 – 23 January 1978) and Ed (born 9 July 1927).
Born into a non-professional but musically talented family, the boys were brought up on classical and operatic music. Their parents, David and Sarah Urick, were Jewish immigrants from the Ukraine who read Shakespeare and semi-classics to their nine children from the time they were old enough to listen.
The brothers formed a quartet with a cousin named Lennie, and had been touring United States Army and Navy bases entertaining the troops and were offered a job at The Fox and Hounds nightclub, one of the fanciest clubs in Boston. This one week engagement turned into several months when the word got around of their appearance. At the time, they were going by the name of the Amory Brothers, a name taken from Vic's middle name and they were becoming quite popular in the area. It was at this time that Joe decided to rejoin the group. He said they were just having too much fun together for him to miss out.[citation needed] Taking their act to New York they got a job with bandleader Art Mooney. One day while at Leeds Publishing Company in search of a song called "Should I" that their mother had asked them to sing, Milt Gabler of Decca Records heard them singing it and had them cut a few sides for Decca Records just before the AFM recording ban which James Petrillo imposed in January, 1948.
When I'm at work, ya, I always rush right home for lunch
So I can check out what's up on the Flower Bunch
And when I'm walking through the front door at night
I gotta see who's winning on The Price is Right, oh
I never dreamed that I'd spend my days
Staring at some tube emitting cathode rays
I need my TV
What's happening in this world, I don't care at all
But it better not pre-empt Thursda Night Ice Hockey ball
I can't even come up with my own views
I'm taught how to think from the evening news, oh
I never dreamed that I'd spend my days
Staring at some tube emitting cathode rays
I need my TV
Everybody Sing
La la la la la la la la la la la la la la la...
Avril Talks
Pissing me off here, can you do scumbagging this shit
There are no lyrics for T.V. - it is a spoken interlude in which television
channels are changing. The wording is misunderstood and misinterpretated.

You're tellin' me everything's alright
You know you tell such filthy lies
The common cold's got nothin' on you
You're a disease from which I die
You make love to my senses
Tryin' to win my heart
I ain't got no defenses...I'm beaten from the start
You insult my intelligence
While you pat me on the back
You give me something with one hand
While the other hand takes it back
You make love to my senses
Tryin' to win my heart
I ain't got no defenses no...got me beaten from the start, yeah
You cater to ?? fantasy
The web you weave is strong
You make it so hard seein' black from white
Tellin' right from wrong
You brainwash me senseless
Tearin' my brain apart
I ain't got no defenses...you got me beaten from the start, yeah
You got me beaten from the start
You got me beaten from the start
You got me beaten from the start
You got me beaten from the start
You make love to my senses
You're all invited by
By something as good as me
You're frightened by my sentiment
What do you want to be?
You want to be my TV
Change your format 'til I say when
You want to feel my breathing
Take a dive into this deep end
And you walk across my ceiling
Trip and fall until I say when
You want to be my TV
Take dive into it
You're all divided by
Something as good as me
You're frightened by my sentiment
What do you want to be?
You want to be my TV
Change your format 'til I say when
You want to feel my breathing
Take a dive into this deep end
And you walk across my ceiling
Trip and fall until I say when
You want to be my TV
Take dive into it
This soul is undecided
This soul is undecided
What do you want from me?
What do you want to be?
What do you want to be?
What do you want from me?
What do you want me to say?

Während Afrikas Völker litten bittere Not
Gelähmt saà Hans-Hermann allein in seinem Haus
yo
puedo cantar cualquiera cosa
y no sé cómo he llegado hasta aquí

My favorite TV station sucks
I just want my TV cartoon series
Not only this news fucking bullshit now
It takes me to the greatest feeling
Of my sensibility of anger
Don't you know how much I love
Every TV station in every Sunday Morning
You could wake up
in the morning and try
to feel so good
that you didnt realise
and the things they're like
stop me from crying
but at night
they stop me from crying
I couldnt take up
more space in my mind
(?) the back door isn't easy to find
as a call from self-indulgence
we'll meet our world
to pull up a something
so can you tell me
that you feel this fame
when you stare at the faces
full with so much shame
or is it you're too high
to tell us the part
so you can live your life
and keep up your lying
i can not stand to watch the TV
lions and the clowns keep staring at me
and the boys and the girls
of the town are afraid
they go up to destroy
You're away or captured by TV
I'm not on TV you can't see me
You're the expert on celebrities
No-one ever concentrates on me
You're, you're away or captured by TV'n
Nobody ever concentrates on me
You're, you're away or captured by TV, I want
Human company!
I made my own "See me" -magazine
Launched a "me"-commercial on TV
Bribed film industry to hit the screen
Oh just let's face it now you are after me
I did it all just to put you on your knees
So try, try harder, you hardly are a dream

You advertise,
I sit here, wide eyed,
Watching something I don't want to watch,
Being forced into my mind.
Why should I watch?
Stop inflicting pain on me,
Every time I switch on my TV.
Your adverts and your company,
Are of no use or help to me.
I don't have the money,
To buy these products,
(I don't have the money)
And I don't have the eye or the luck (I don't have the eye)
Do you want a hole in my wallet?
After you've ripped me off.
[x2]
Why should I feel? (Why should I feel?)
Why should I watch? (Why should I watch?)
How can I get into this film?
When every 15 minutes it fucking stops.
[x2]
Stop inflicting pain on me,
Every time I switch on my TV.
Your adverts and your company,
I grew up in a world that was all wrong
Nothing I did could help it at all
So I found my place and took a stand
Didn't take too long to grow into a man
I sit at home and watch T.V.
How could this happen to me
I tried to change the world like a one man infantry
Tried so hard that my hands began to bleed
Cuz i needed help like everyone else
I look to you but your too fucking scared to help
There was a time when I thought I could save the world
But I was far too young
I stand alone what do I see
A bunch of fucking idiots
With the same thoughts as me
I knew you'd go far
In my white convertible car
Recline in my seat
Lying back in this heat
Look me up on channel three
So sophisticated
Charming and educated
And I hope you don't mind
Nothing's harder to find
Someone sensual like you
Elton John's style
With an eagle profile
Small screen smile
Coquille St. Jaques
Coquille St. Jaques
I think you're very, very, very,
Very, very, very, very, very, very...
Etends moi
Au dessous de toi
Je suis une sphinx
Les genoux a chacque cote
De vos cuisses
It won't take long
Oh you're so strong
Recline in my seat
Back in this heat
In my white convertible
I told you before
You've made me so sore
With your foot on the floor
All the way to my door
Your beautiful teeth, what's underneath?
There's nothing left to do
I think you're very, very, very,
