Osman Pamukoğlu (born December 27, 1947) is a retired major general of the Turkish Army and politician who founded the Rights and Equality Party.
He is known for his achievements on the operations against the PKK between 1993 and 1995, as the commander of Hakkari Mountain and Commando Brigade. He holds the title of being only general in Turkish Army honored with 5 medals of 'Establishment of Superior Troops'. On July 28, 2008, he declared a statement on his personal website about the state of the circumstance in which Turkey was, and guiding principles and promised actions of the party. The strong support[citation needed] of the public for his announcement enabled the Rights and Equality Party to be established within the following period of 36 days.
Daniel Eugene Osman (February 11, 1963 – November 23, 1998) was an American extreme sport practitioner, known for the dangerous sports of "free-soloing" (rock climbing without ropes or other safety gear); and "rope free-flying" or "rope jumping" (falling several hundred feet from a cliff then being caught by a safety rope), for which his record was over 1000 feet/300 meters. He was known for living a bohemian lifestyle, working as a part-time carpenter and living in Lake Tahoe, CA. He was the star of several rock climbing videos, which brought free-soloing to a wider audience. Dan had one daughter, Emma Osman.
Dan Osman appeared in Eric Perlman's Masters of Stone series, free soloing Atlantis (5.11+) on The Sorcerer in Needles and Airy Interlude (5.10b, then 5.9) on The Witch, also in Needles (in California's Sierras). He also is featured crashing a bmx bicycle, ziplining off The Witch, taking a gigantic 192 foot whipper just for the fun of it (in Yosemite), and perhaps most impressively, on-sight free-soloing Bolder Display of Power (5.11).

Topal Osman Agha (1883, Giresun – April 1, 1923, Ankara) was a Turkish militia leader of the late Ottoman and early Republican periods. He commanded the 42nd Giresun Volunteer Regiment and 47th Giresun Volunteer Regiment. His last rank was Lieutenant-colonel of militia (Milis Yarbayı ).
He was a veteran of the 1912-1913 Balkan Wars where he became Lame (Turkish: topal).
For his work in the national movement, Osman became commander of Mustafa Kemal's special "Bodyguard Regiment." and his loyal vassal[clarification needed] Captain of militia Mustafa Kaptan was appointed the commander of the Guard Battalion of the Grand National Assembly. He choked Trabzon deputy Ali Shukri Bey (Ali Şükrü Bey ) to death on March 27, 1923, in response to Şükrü's criticism of Mustafa Kemal.
Mustafa Kemal ordered Ismail Hakki Bey (İsmail Hakkı Tekçe ), who was the commander of the Presidential Guard Battalion, to take Topal Osman and his fellows into custody. Topal was surrounded at his hideout in Seyran Bağları wards and in the resulting exchange of fire, was wounded and captured on April 1, 1923.
