Hamleys is one of the world's largest toy shops. Its flagship store in Regent Street, London, is the world's largest toy store. Other major stores worldwide include Dublin,Dubai,Amman,Glasgow, Mumbai, Chennai and Riyadh.
The flagship store is considered one of London's major tourist attractions, and receives about five million visitors a year.
Unlike many companies using possessive names, Hamleys intentionally forgoes the use of an apostrophe in its name.
Hamleys is named after William Hamley, who founded a toy shop called "Noah's Ark" at 231 High Holborn in London in 1760. A branch at 200 Regent Street was opened in 1881, and the Holborn branch was destroyed by fire in 1901 and was relocated from 231 to 86– 87 High Holborn.
In 1938, Queen Mary, the consort of King George V, gave Hamleys a royal warrant. During World War II, the Regent Street store was bombed five times. In 1955, Queen Elizabeth II gave the company a second royal warrant as a "toys and sports merchant".
Hamleys moved its flagship store to its current address at 188–196 Regent Street in 1981, which is the largest toy shop in the world.
She said she had no money
But he was in doubt
He told her, "I used to be in too"
But now he was out
"Spare some small change lady
And I'll be on my way"
She looked into his eyes
And deep in his soul
I know she was wondering
If he was in control
She muttered to herself, "Those beggars,
Where do they all come from?"
He said, "I'm not a homeless man
I'm a gypsy by trade
And I'm travelling this land
I'm not a homeless man"
He moved through the streets
With his headband low
Never thinking he would never see
That woman again, you know
Just sleeping in the doorways
And alleys like he always had
The years rolled by
And later on
He spotted an old woman
All tattered and worn
Hard times had got her
Her clothes were ragged and old
She said, "I'm not a homeless woman
I'm a gypsy by trade
And I'm travelling this land
I'm not a homeless woman"
Sometime in the daytime
Sometimes at night
You will see a couple walking
They'll come into sight
Pushing their carts
And holding hands
If you ask to help
They'll just run away
Like little children, out to play
And if you ask, "Who are you"
They'll always say
"I'm not a homeless man
I'm a gypsy by trade
And I'm travelling this land
She's not a homeless woman
look at all these people lying around
look at all these people being scraped right off the ground
because of too many broken homes
too many cardboard boxes
too many people who just can't survive
hard losses well americans don't belong in tins
let's learn to help ourselves before we help the foreign
wounded decay shout out dismay
can you hear their voices yelling out mayday
why are we sending money over seas
look out your window our nation's the one that needs
because there's not enough income
there's too much poverty
why must we lose more lives before our eyes will see
we'll leave it alone hope it goes away
its hard to ignore life when you live it everyday
I'd like to see I'd like to say I'd like to hear that help is on the way
here today where tomorrow?
death in the shadows
affects us all
too many bodies lie in the street

It was a homeless man in Hollywood who got me thinking.
We'd just flown in from San Francisco; we'd been flying
And driving for weeks. This day I saw a homeless man on
The street in Hollywood. I felt the usual mix of sorrow for him,
And anger at a society that makes a man live like this.
Later on I thought about it more, he affected me differently.
He really looked together, really organised. He was a survivor.
I'm sure his life is really tough, but I felt a deep sense of
Respect for him, much more than pity. Then I asked myself,
Why did I react this way. It struck me, that here in this crazy
World, there was a man, who drives no car, who flies no plane,
Who heats no home; in a time of global warming his CO2
Emissions are pretty much zero. This homeless man in
Hollywood is a model urban citizen.
I on the other hand, I live this life of good intentions,
I travel the world, I try to be aware of the earth, I sing my songs,
I look and hope for change. But out on the road, I fly everyday,
I drive everyday, I heat my home, and burn up so much fuel
That if everyone lived like me, we'd need about 4 planets
Just to keep it all going.......................... Shit!
Funny how a homeless man in Hollywood got me thinking....
Men like him just walk the walk, and men like me...........
Well, we talk a good talk....
It was a homeless man in Hollywood...
When you were alive, I was never alone
Somewhere in the world, there was something called home
And as long as you lived, I would be allright
There were reasons to win, and incentives to fight
Now I'm smoking again. I thought all that was through
And I don't wanna live. But what else can I do
And I feel like I've faked all that I ever did
And I've grown a gray beard, but I cry like a kid
I was seven when I sang you'd rosin the bow
There in Aunt Mary's kitchen and I don't guess I know
That it's why I've done this for all of this time
But now I'm playing and singing, seems a game or a crime
People have called to find out if I'm fine
I assure them I am. But I'm not - it's a lie
They say in the end, your good friends pull you through
But everyone knows, my best friend was you.
Hey, I've gotten some help. I guess I was afraid
You suppose something will happen when someone is paid
But I am getting better once again I'll be strong
After all, listen, I'm singing this song
When you were alive I was never alone
Somewhere in the world there was something called home
Now I feel like I'm homeless but I will be alright
I ain't got no home
Ain't got no papers
I ain't got no job
I ain't got no bucks
Ain't got no time left
Ain't got nowhere
Nowhere to hide
And this is what you call democracy
We are all a happy family
Yeah I'm the one waiting for the sun
I don't expect a shadow

Waiting here
For you to call me
For you to tell me
That everything's a big mistake
Waiting here
In this rainfall
Feeling so small
This dream was not suppose to break
I'm so sorry now
For the pain I caused you
Wont you please forgive
Please
But you don't love me anymore
You don't want me anymore
There's a sign on your door
No vacancy, just emptiness
Without your love
I'm homeless
In this cold
I'm walking aimless
Feeling helpless
Without a shelter from the storm
In my heart
I miss you so much
Missing your touch
And the bed that used to be so warm
I'm so sorry now
For the pain I caused you
Wont you please forgive
Please
But you don't love me anymore
You don't want me anymore
There's a sign on your door
No vacancy, just emptiness
Without your love
I'm homeless
My, My baby
I'm sorry
Oooh
But you don't love me anymore
You don't want me anymore
There's a sign on your door
No vacancy, just emptiness
Without your love
[KRS-One]
Lincoln said, in this piece here, he says... he frees the slaves; he
said, "All slaves in armed rebellion." The slaves. Now understand one
point: the African is not a slave, that's one point that they didn't
realize when they were writin this. The African is not a slave. The
African has a history far more advanced than this nineteen-ninety
history we're in right now. He's not a slave. Lincoln's ultimately
sayin now you were born a slave, you'll always be a slave, and all I
Could I wake up next to you
When we're hitting double figures
Look into your eyes
Like I'm looking into double mirrors
Could you make it any clearer
Everything's such a blur
It's not my turn
It's hers to get hurt
On a late night
Coming home from way too many train rides
Lace not as red as my face
I'm home at the same time
Highbury estate's fine
Smoking like a dragon, but don't chase lines
I haven't slept for the past week
Two hours ain't enough for me
I feel inspired, at quarter to three am
I haven't changed since our last meet
I'm still getting all my meals for free
Think I'm being shunned by my feet again
It's not a homeless life for me
It's just I'm home less than I'd like to be
And now I'm sitting on a night bus
Flicking through my Ipod
Feeling kinda tired
So I try to close my eyes up
Driver, turn the lights off
Lights on, on stage, mics on
Song plays, nice one
Gotta keep my hype strong
Truth be, never went to Uni
People see right through me
but I'm not a fool, see
I'm never gonna do one
Gonna live past 22, done
Everything I need to
Except get a 2:1
I haven't slept for the past week
Two hours ain't enough for me
I feel inspired, at quarter to three am
I haven't changed since our last meet
I'm still getting all my food for free
Think I'm being shunned by my feet again
It's not a homeless life for me
It's just I'm home less than I'd like to be
When I feel cold
You keep me warm
And I'm not looking for some loose change
Just wanna find a true mate
Who wants to be my duvet
It's not a homeless life for me
Waiting here
For you to call me
For you to tell me
That everythings a big mistake
Waiting here
In this rainfall
Feeling so small
This dream was not supposed to break
Im so sorry now
For the pain I caused you
Wont you please forgive
Please
But you dont love me anymore
You dont want me anymore
Theres a sign on your door

Without your love Im homeless

Feeling helpless
Without a shelter from the storm
In my heart

Missing your touch

What is in this wine?
The more I drink the more I wander off
Into a stranger's eyes
I like the way that they reflect my thoughts
What is in this air?
It feels like feathery dust everywhere
And as I breathe it in
I breathe the masculine scent of his skin
And I feel homeless
Your comfortable caress
Has triggered unfamiliar restlessness
You and I are we
I feel I've lost my individuality
You're watching me rebel
Believing stories only hearts can tell
But when is it enough?
When do I call my feelings on their bluff
And I feel homeless
And I remember us now
But I forgot what we felt like
[Originally performed by New Order]
I feel so extraordinary
Something's got a hold on me
I get this feeling I'm in motion
A sudden sense of liberty
I don't care 'cause I'm not there
And I don't care if I'm here tomorrow
Again and again I've taken too much
Of the things that cost you too much
I used to think that the day would never come
I'd see delight in the shade of the morning sun
My morning sun is the drug that brings me near
To the childhood I lost, replaced by fear
I used to think that the day would never come
That my life would depend on the morning sun...
When I was a very small boy,
Very small boys talked to me
Now that we've grown up together
They're afraid of what they see
That's the price that we all pay
And the value of destiny comes to nothing
I can't tell you where we're going
I guess there was just no way of knowing
I used to think that the day would never come
I'd see delight in the shade of the morning sun
My morning sun is the drug that brings me near
To the childhood I lost, replaced by fear
I used to think that the day would never come
That my life would depend on the morning sun...
I feel so extraordinary
Something's got a hold on me
I get this feeling I'm in motion
A sudden sense of liberty
The chances are we've gone too far
You took my time and you took my money
Now I fear you've left me standing
In a world that's so demanding
I used to think that the day would never come
I'd see delight in the shade of the morning sun
My morning sun is the drug that brings me near
To the childhood I lost, replaced by fear
I used to think that the day would never come
That my life would depend on the morning sun...
She started out a rodeo queen,
Future looked just fine
Fell in love with a boy in school,
Married an assembly line
They were huntin' down the American dream
Wonderin' where it'd gone
When they found themselves
To be fair game lost their home
He was laid off on a Friday night went out
Drinkin' with his friends
She stayed in the car with the kids all night,
He never came back again
Oh what was she to do,
Where was she to go
Is home really were the heart is
When the heart can't feel at home
Homeless, her and her family
Homeless, is this the way of livin' free
And her house is an abandoned car
At the side of the road
Homeless, will she find where that road goes
Her time is now so precious,
She hunts for work and food
Their clothes are torn and tattered,
So her kids stay out of school
She looks for hope under every can
"At the sound of the tone
Just leave a message. We'll call you back"
But they know she's not at home
Homeless, her and her family
Homeless, is this the way of livin' free
And her house is an abandoned car
At the side of the road
Homeless, will she find where that road goes
In this land of milk and honey
We share with all who need
Except the ones outside our door,
The ones we cannot see
It's the proud, the true,
The faithful left out in the cold
It's people just like you and me
At the end of the road
Homeless, her and her family
Homeless, is this the way of livin' free
And her house is an abandoned car
At the side of the road
Homeless, will she find where that road goes
Oh, no, no, no, no
No, no, no, beggin', beggin'
Hello, I'm standin' out here at the front door
Hello, can you hear me? I'm at the front door
And my key ain't workin', where you at? Let me in
You ain't comin' in here
What the hell you mean I can't come in?
Oh no, I know she just didn't hang up what she thinkin'?
Oh no, here we go, I'm 'bout to kick this door in
I hear the po po comin' see my clothes out the window
She put me out and I ain't got nowhere else to go
Your heart's my house, it's where I sleep
Without my baby a bum is what I'd be
What am I gonna do if you ain't there to come home to?
Girl I'm gon' be out on the streets if I ain't with you
You may see me on the corner of the streets
Standin' with a cup in my hand holdin' a sign up
Sayin' that I'm homeless, I'm homeless, girl I'm homeless
And I'm beggin', I'm beggin'
'Cause me without you is like a gin with no juice
It's like a chain with no jewels, it's like your man's here beggin'
And homeless, I'm homeless, girl I'm homeless
And I'm beggin', I'm beggin', yeah
Damn it feels like I've been sleepin' on a box and
Damn it seem like I be close to pushin' carts and
I don't wanna work 'cause I need spend it on you and
I'm talkin' to myself 'cause I ain't talkin' to you
Damn, damn, damn
Damn, damn, I missin' how you was my hot chocolate
Girl damn I'm really missin' how you used to drop it
My food all it tastes like it came straight out the garbage
And the girls I'm meetin' they be garbage
Your heart's my house, it's where I sleep
Without my baby a bum is what I'd be
What am I gonna do if you ain't there to come home to?
Girl, I'm gon' be out on the streets if I ain't with you
You may see me on the corner of the streets
Standin' with a cup in my hand holdin' a sign up
Sayin' that I'm homeless, I'm homeless, girl I'm homeless
And I'm beggin', I'm beggin'
'Cause me without you is like a gin with no juice
It's like a chain with no jewels, it's like your man's here beggin'
And homeless, I'm homeless, girl I'm homeless
And I'm beggin', I'm beggin', yeah
Girl I'm nothin', I'm struglin', got nothin' but my name
I ain't askin' for to much I just need a lil' change in my life
I ain't right and I never should've done you wrong
Girl it ain't about the house, baby that don't mean a thing to me
All I need is you, so if that means I gotta work for the rest of my life
I swear I'll make it up to you
You may see me on the corner of the streets
Standin' with a cup in my hand holdin' a sign up
Sayin' that I'm homeless, I'm homeless, girl I'm homeless
I'm beggin' you
'Cause me without you is like a gin with no juice
It's like a chain with no jewels, it's like your man's here beggin'
And homeless, I'm homeless, girl I'm homeless
And I'm beggin', I'm beggin', yeah
Baby I'm beggin' you, I'll do what I gotta do
I might as well be homeless if I can't be without you
Baby I'm beggin' you, I'll do what I gotta do
I might as well be homeless if I can't be without you
Baby I'm beggin' you, I'll do what I gotta do
I might as well be homeless if I can't be without you
Baby I'm beggin' you, I'll do what I gotta do
See there's this lady that lives on the street
She has no job, no home, no family
And she barely has the chance to even eat
So she begs and steals and sells her body
Sometimes she may come off a little strong
But she's just on her own
But if it was you, what would you do?
If you didn't have a home
If you didn't have a pot to piss in, didn't have a kitchen
Imagine if you was homeless
Didn't have a job, no car, no friends
Imagine if you was homeless
Sometimes you should just look at your life
And imagine if it was you
Just imagine if it was you
'Cause one day, yes you could be homeless
There's a man on the street
He got holes in his shoes on his feet
We be in the club spending doe
Then we'd come outside and tell him no
All he need is a couple bucks
He's got a little change but it's not enough
So we turn our backs and laugh or we stop in our tracks
And turn the other way 'cause we got it made
Sometimes he make 'em off
Just a little strong but he's on his own
But what about you, what would you do?
If you didn't have a home
If you didn't have a pot to piss in, didn't have a kitchen
Imagine if you was homeless
Didn't have a job, no car, no friends
Imagine if you was homeless
Sometimes you should just look at your life
And imagine if it was you
Just imagine if it was you
'Cause one day, yes you could be homeless
A new day when I open my eyes
Got a black president but there's people outside
I know you've seen 'em and we all done passed 'em
Some people seen some shit last night, still got 'em laughin'
But it's not funny, it's all about money
And I bet you won't go put on them shoes
It's crazy because we're out clubbin', ain't worried 'bout nothing

Ho
One nation under God, and in Him we trust,
Well I'll believe it when I see it but I won't get my hopes up.
This melting pot of age, denomination, and race
Has boiled over with prejudice, disgraced and shame faced.
Open your eyes people, things are gettin' sick.
Murder is legal, and the killers get rich.
Call this the land of the free and the home of the brave,
Well I see people in chains and they're too blind to see that they're slaves.
I won't call this home.
Hate, it's the national pastime. Too late, it sung it's song for the last time.
I'm building my stronghold on the Rock of Ages,
Not on the sands of sin because I know it's wages are death,
But God's love has given the breath of new life. So don't forget.
Watch TV and see the world's definition of love,
Immorality glorified far above the importance of where man stands with God,
And I think it's got to stop!
I won't call this home.
Every time I turn my head, this place, it's in my face. So blasphemous.
Screaming it's obscenities, it's abominations bleed my eyes. Disease.
These wicked flames, that flicker pain, try night and day to consume me.
The smell of death on everything I touch, cost of acceptance far too much.
But not for long, I'm going home, my savior's coming for me.
I've got to hold my head up high, try not to lose my focus.
I've got to stand my ground, while this world rips at my flesh.
But not for long, I'm going home, my savior's coming for me.
This nation we witness, the child of progress,
The land of opportunity, the land of success,
Is just a caldron of souls that's about overfilled,
An empire the devil has worked so hard to build.
So for as long as I'm here, for the rest of my days,
I won't conform to this world, I won't adopt it's ways.
Christ's kingdom is coming and without Him it's hopeless,
So until that day you can consider me homeless.
Homeless - For Now - Always - Homeward Bound!
Homeless - For Now - Always - Homeward Bound!
Homeless - For Now - Always - Homeward Bound!
Silent rejection
whenever you see my face
but deep inside
your glances burn
liquid release
is running down my throat
deceitful warmth
fullfills my bones
No place to rest, no home to stay
no life to live, no role to play
the fear of living day by day
No god exists that I can pray
society that I obey
the poison leads me to decay
Forging my will
to stand this test of time
throughout the land
search for my fate
sometimes I feel
ephemeral hope in me rising but
expect my aim
beyond the wall
No place to rest, no home to stay
no voice to hear, no word to say
all colors fading into grey
No god exists that I can pray
I can’t afford the price to pay
my low existance goes its way
Homeless

Homeless
homeless
a destiny right between your eyes.
Walking along the streets of New York with a bag full of old memories but I'll follow you.
And I always thought that home was up the stairs to space 11B but time can change things too.
Red, yellow, red, green
Traffic in the city, reflects light in your eyes.
Hands touch, eyes meet, I remember perfectly the night we fell in love.
Everywhere we go is home baby home, home is you're with me
Everything we touch is love, baby love, love is all we need
Is all we need. Is all we need.
I don't need a roof over my head while I've got your hands to shade the sun away from my face
I don't need a space to call my own, to scatter records on my floor, you're my secret place.
Red, yellow, red, green
Traffic on a side street, the corner where we met
Lips touch, you breathe, right into the soul of me, I haven't come down yet
Waiting here
for you to call me
For you to tell me
That everything's a big mistake
Waiting here,
in this rainfall
Felling so small
This dream was not suppose to break
I'm so sorry now
For the pain I caused you
Wont you please forgive
Baby please
But you don't love me anymore
You don't want me anymore
There's a sign on your door
No vacancy, just emptiness
Without your love
I'm homeless
In this cold
I'm walking aimless
Feeling helpless
Without a shelter from the storm
In my heart
I miss you so much
missing your touch
Is there someone who could tell me
Where I'm coming from?
Is there someone who could tell me
Where I go?
I would be
I could be
I should be
No matter who I am
There's no place there I can live
I'm sleepless
I'm useless
I'm homeless
No matter who I am
There's no place where I can live
I look to the burning sky
I think of these centuries of hate
War for religion, politics, race
They were your brothers
But now you will kill them
Until the complete extremination of
your enemies
Your land's devastated
But you think: "This is my country now"
From the four points comes the wind
From the oceans came life
From millions years before
To millions years after
We're just part of the cycle of life
Each man is different and unique
But holds no land in this world
From dust to dust
Ashes to ashes
REMIX!

Ed Words!
102.7 Detroit!
Pinegrove Records!
This one goes out to the (real) Americans!
I live in the street
I live in a box
I got me some keys
But don't got a door!
I eat Mickey D's
Right off of the floor
Outside of the store
In the parking lot
[x2]
So if you're white (Throw!)
Some change...
Because you're balling like bigshots
So if you're white (Throw!)
Some change...
Because I live in a bus stop
[x2]
I'm covered in lice
In lice
In lice
In lice
I live with my lice
My lice
My lice
My lice
Never mind cicada babies crawling on my face, I hate it [?]
8 or 9 or 10 I ate a couple on a plate today
Safe to say I blazed away my savings, I'm amazed, but hey
Throw me up some tonic and a drop of orange Gatorade
Baby I can take some baking soda and some cane and make a
Shake-and bake and take it to my lady for a little date
Book a (?) and pay in rocks and look us up what day it's 'bout to
Rain and maybe we can raid the basement of a baby's place
Living day to day is great, greater than some grated bacon
Scraped up off the ground that's been around like since like '88
Ate a couple steaks today, scraped them off the road cause they were
Stuck inside the body of a dog that met it's maker
They can take away my Lakers tickets, cause they fake
But they can never take away my God forsaken salt and pepper shakers!
Let me get some change, you crackers gon' get paid
Sit around and talk about how the office should get AIDS [?]
I live in the street

Heads up, you better duck, swinging fists like I don't give a fuck
Cause I'm drunk, brown-baggin' is very necessary
So hairy people think I'm scary, sleeping in the cemetery
Cold as FUCK, cause the shelter gave Ruck the last bunk
So I'm stuck eating garbage out the damn truck
Ally cat for a snack seven days a week
Only gold plaque I got is on my teeth, buyin crack, cause it's cheap
Hold the record for nastiest feet
Stuck up Mickey D's for a double cheese with a fake piece
Tried to be Bruce Lee n got a ride home from the police
Real drunk, humpin' tree stumps to get a nut, and yea I got
Herpes, so what, lemme get a cigarette, cause.
Ain't had a shower in 12 weeks, and that's late
I've been sleeping on 15 Mile and Orchard Lake
Girls be like "Words, you smell bad" I'm like
"BITCH I LIVE IN A FUCKING TRASH CAN! "
You know, I'm a soulja, drink a case of King Cobra
Might weeble and wobble, but won't fall down
Looking shitty like Detroit City from 6 Mile down
Reverse paparazzi, I watch the watchers watch me
Cause I jump over shells like Mario and Luigi
BIATCH!
I live in the street
I live in a box
I got me some keys
But don't got a door!
