Australia's First Families of Wine is an Australian wine initiative to raise the profile of Australian wine to the world, showcasing a representative of its landmark wines and to highlight the quality and diversity of Australian wine. Established by a collective of twelve multi-generational family-owned wine producers. Together the families represent seventeen wine-growing regions across Australia and forty-eight generations of winemakers. It was officially launched at the Sydney Opera House on 31 August 2009 by former Hon Tony Burke MP, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.
The inaugural members of Australia's First Families of Wine are:

First Families chairman and fourth generation winemaker and Tahbilk chief executive Alister Purbrick stated: "We desperately need to change the global perception of Australian wine. We don't believe as individual companies we can stem the avalanche of news stories about Australia producing nothing but cheap industrial wines. But together we can present a powerful showcase of terrific regional wines of great diversity." Some industry commentators lay the blame for this negative opinion on the giant, publicly listed multinational corporations, such as Constellation Wines and Foster's, which have dominated the industry for years and concentrated on the cheap commodity end of the market rather than building the reputation of Australia's finer, regionally distinctive wines. "While as family winemakers we all value our independence, we do share a common vision - that Australian wine can take on the world's best and win," Purbrick said.
Australia ( /əˈstreɪljə/), officially the Commonwealth of Australia, is a country in the Southern Hemisphere comprising the mainland of the Australian continent as well as the island of Tasmania and numerous smaller islands in the Indian and Pacific Oceans. It is the world's sixth-largest country by total area. Neighbouring countries include Indonesia, East Timor and Papua New Guinea to the north; the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and New Caledonia to the north-east; and New Zealand to the south-east.
For at least 40,000 years before European settlement in the late 18th century, Australia was inhabited by indigenous Australians, who belonged to one or more of roughly 250 language groups. After discovery by Dutch explorers in 1606, Australia's eastern half was claimed by Great Britain in 1770 and settled through penal transportation to the colony of New South Wales from 26 January 1788. The population grew steadily in subsequent decades; the continent was explored and an additional five self-governing Crown Colonies were established.
Philip Joseph "Phil" Hughes (born June 24, 1986) is an American right-handed baseball pitcher who has played 5 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Yankees. He was the Yankees' first-round pick in the 2004 Major League Baseball Draft.
During his time in the Yankees' minor-league system, Hughes became one of the most highly anticipated prospects in baseball. He debuted in the Major Leagues in 2007, and quickly demonstrated his potential with a bid for a no-hitter in only his 2nd MLB start. However, injury cut short his start, as well as significant portions of his 2007 and 2008 seasons. Hughes began 2009 in the starting rotation, but after struggling, he was converted to a relief pitcher for the remainder of the season, where he excelled as a setup man in a World Series-winning season. He returned to the rotation in 2010, winning 18 games and earning his first All-Star selection. Arm fatigue cost Hughes nearly half of the season in 2011.
His pitching repertoire consists of a four-seam fastball, cutter, curveball, and changeup.
Phillip Joel Hughes (born 30 November 1988) is an Australian cricketer. He is a left-handed opening batsman who made his Test debut at the age of 20 after just two seasons with New South Wales.
Hughes was born in Macksville, a small town on the north coast of New South Wales, to parents Greg and Virginia. The son of a banana farmer and an Italian mother, Hughes was also a talented rugby league player who once played alongside Australian rugby league international Greg Inglis. He played his junior cricket for Macksville R.S.L Cricket Club, where he excelled so quickly that he was playing A-Grade at the age of 12. At the age of 17, Hughes moved from Macksville to Sydney to play for Western Suburbs District Cricket Club in Sydney Grade Cricket while he attended Homebush Boys High. He scored 141* on his grade debut and enjoyed a solid 2006–07 season scoring 752 runs at an average of 35.81 with a highest score of 142*. He represented Australia at the Under-19s World Cup in 2007. He was coached at Activate Cricket Centre in Mortlake.
Sean Abbott (29 February 1992) is a New South Wales cricketer originally from Windsor in New South Wales. Abbott is an all-rounder who bats right-handed and bowls right hand medium pacers. He made his List A debut for New South Wales against Western Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground on 17 October 2010. Major teams Abbott has played for include: Australia Under-19s, New South Wales, New South Wales Under-17s, New South Wales Under-19s and Parramatta in the Sydney Grade Cricket competition.

I'm on the outside looking inside
What do I see
Much confusion, disillusion
All around me.
You don't possess me

Conscience- Declaring intent
Allusion of illusionary life
Mind reeling - blind
Indemnified night
Gray and clouded;
Your judgment, maligned
Schizophrenia... Sets in
Fleeting infidelities
Antiquity, a church spire;
Dislocation, suddenly in the parlour
Spatial time, misconstrued
Familiar faces, confused
Ties to life, recalcitrant
Neural synapses, collapsing
Within the mind: desiccation
Memories, blurred
A faltering perception of time
All that you were, now inversed
Foreboding thoughts, your curse
Strangers made, of those you once knew
Sanity, an impossibility
Now they come, wraiths in the night
Invaders, in every sense of the word
Your mortal coil, bound to their plight
Ambuscading, your very soul
Frantic, scathing inside
Manipulating
Your every move
Existence... Coming to end
Imagination; going insane
Apperception, never the same
Mentality, wracking your brain
Your sanity: In disbelief
Those around you, now enemies
Hacking frantically; deplorable
Beating pulse, driving you mad
Dashing your head,
To end the voices;
A man, disfigured by science
His skin, charred and corpse-like
Severed from the world he knew
He sees through a spectrum of rage
Flesh turned to liquid
He seeks vengeance through science
Synthetic flesh replaces his own
His purpose is to exact revenge
Tracking them one by one
His anger knows no bounds
Looking for the one at the top
Murdering them slowly to even the score
Criminal syndicate, a plot for control
All of it, worthless to him
So much for him to reclaim
Ninety minutes for each mask he creates
Now, the carnage unfolds
Posing as his victims,
Identity stole
Replacing them for only a short time
Destroying their lives, ensuring their demise
The first one, a mobster who tied him up
Catching him in an alley, he corners him
(Then proceeds to mutilate, and masticate)
First name on the list, terminated
Unabated, skinless killer
Victim's last sight, one of pure nightmare
Second target
Now in his sights
The man, flees for his life
So he hunts on
No sensory information
For him to feel
Synthetic skin knows no pain
Only one essential organ: His brain
No escape
For his prey
His skin, flayed
Deranged!
Revenge, exacted
Now, the carnage unfolds
Posing as his victims,
Identity stole
Replacing them for only a short time
Destroying their lives, ensuring their demise
Third target: the scientist who set him up
He retakes his vengeance with all remorse, gone
Taking him at home, no one hears his cries
Moving down the list, he ensures each demise!
No sensory information
For him to feel
Synthetic skin knows no pain
Taking them one by one
Only one essential organ, his brain
A man, disfigured by science

Replacing them
For a short time
Destroying their lives;
Ensuring their demise
Finally he faces the one who ruined his life
The coward tries to run, there's nowhere to hide
He strikes him down, his mask dissipating
