In Greek mythology, Calliope ( /kəˈlaɪ.əpiː/ kə-LY-ə-pee; Ancient Greek: Καλλιόπη Kalliope "beautiful-voiced") was the muse of epic poetry, daughter of Zeus and Mnemosyne, and is believed to be Homer's muse, the inspiration for the Odyssey and the Iliad.
One account says Calliope was the lover of the war god Ares, and bore him several sons: Mygdon, Edonus, Biston, and Odomantus (or Odomas), respectively the founders of Thracian tribes known as the Mygdones, Edones, Bistones, and Odomantes[citation needed].
Calliope also had two famous sons, Orpheus and Linus, by either Apollo or the king Oeagrus of Thrace. She taught Orpheus verses for singing. She was the wisest of the Muses, as well as the most assertive. She married Oeagrus close to Pimpleia,Olympus.
Calliope is always seen with a writing tablet in her hand. At times, she is depicted as carrying a roll of paper or a book or as wearing a gold crown.

Plot
The gods have grown petty and paranoid, and descend upon Earth to interfere in the lives of mortals and to spy on them- only to find that most people have forgotten them altogether. They, like the mortals, then become distracted and lose their sense of purpose - focusing instead on drug binges, plastic grapes and face creams. Heavily improvised and shot in front of greenscreens, the ensemble cast inhabit a totally artificial world which gives the film a surreal edge even when someone is simply waiting for a bus. An unusual low-budget experimental comedy destined to delight and offend.
A divine comedy
Plot
"The Five-Day Crucifixion" is a supernatural drama about John Santo's "life and death" struggle with Satan that casts doubt on his faith in God. John's resolve continues to waver when he is tempted by the love of a beautiful woman only to find out that his surroundings are not what they appear to be. In a battlefield of lies, deceit, and violence, Satan's persuasive power to seduce John's soul is galvanized when John's daughter is thrust in the middle of their spiritual war. "Follow me John, and renounce God or your daughter will die" is Satan's ultimatum. With his child's life and his soul on the line, John must either use the power at his disposal to defeat Satan or surrender his soul to evil in exchange for saving his daughter's life.
Second guessing a second chance, seconds the failure.
Plot
28th century, 200 years after the Great Earth Exodus. Naia, a feisty, young singer/songwriter, falls in love with the beautiful saxophonist Parker in Ganymede, one of Jupiter's moons. The two form a band - and now they have to not only make it as musicians but also to fight for their freedom. Dramatically rendered in rich, hand drawn animation, Strange Frame brings us into a world of space pirates, indentured slaves and genetic mutations - infused with music throughout, to create a dreamlike tale unlike anything you've ever seen.
How fortunate are those who can frame the beauty of the strange.
A fable about life, love, literature and infidelity.
King: Who is that charming girl?::Queen Constantina: No one seems to know. She is stunning isn't she?::King: A vision... Why, if I were young man I'd... [pause]::Queen Constantina: Yes, dear?::King: Well, I'd be younger, wouldn't I?::Queen Constantina: Yes, dear.
Cinderella: The sweetest sounds I'll ever hear are still inside my head / The kindest words I'll ever know are waiting to be said / The most entrancing sight of all is yet for me to see / And the dearest love in all the world is waiting somewhere for me / Is waiting somewhere, somewhere for me.
Cinderella: [singing] Am I making believe I see in you a man too perfect to be really true? Do I want you because you're wonderful? Or are you wonderful because I want you?
Stepmother: My girls are going to be the envy of everyone at the ball.
Stepmother: Beauty knows no pain, girls!
Stepmother: I've always been told I've got too big a heart.::Calliope, Minerva: You've got too big a heart, mother.
Stepmother: Don't cling to the past Cinderella. Its not very attractive.
Lionel: Are there any other young women in the house?::Stepmother: [speaking in high-pitched voice] How young?::Lionel: Younger than you.
Cinderella: I doubt he has any idea how a girl should be treated.::The Prince: Like a princess, I suppose.::Cinderella: No, like a person, with kindness and respect.
Cinderella: But shouldn't a man love you for who you are, in spite of everything?::Stepmother: How quaint. Tell me, Cinderella, What would you say to capture the prince?::Cinderella: I don't know. But whatever I'd say, we'd know in an instant we were meant for each other. Then he'd smile, and kiss my hand...::Minerva: That's so romantic.::Calliope: Oh, say it again, Cinderella.::Stepmother: Rubbish! This isn't about love, it's about marriage.

I woke this morning deep in the earth
Laying bare with the granite and the moths
Up I clambered and I was met by the sun
It was then I saw you there, down on the street
My love
You've come such a long way
With no one to comfort you
Or to tell you you're needed
You and I come from the same place
But if I were to call for you
What's there left to believe in?
So I signaled up to the high and crumbling moon
We've made it then, my love
Closed both my eyes and crawled under the sink
And as I dreamt I swear i felt you in my arms again
You've come such a long way
With no one to comfort you
Or to tell you you're needed
You and I come from the same place
But if I were to call for you
What's there left to believe in?
What's there left to believe in?
What's there left to believe in?
No way, you're looking down
Took my heart and ripped my crown
And i'm fallin' for ya, and i'm fallin' for ya,
And i'm falling for you, ah,
That's enough to believe in.
You've come such a long way
With no one to comfort you
Or to tell you you're needed
You and I come from the same place
But if I were to call for you
What's there left to believe in?
What's there left to believe in?
Calliope
I can hear your voice
As clear as a bell
As a bell ringing through the night
Through the night
O Calliope
Your tablets of wax
And your golden crown
So wise, so wise
O Calliope
I need your impartial eye
To guide me
My love is gone to another
O Calliope
Your archaic smile
What lurks behind
And makes your lips look alive
Look alive
O Calliope
I fear I'm growing cold
As the marble stone
That you lie in
That you lie in
O Calliope
I need your impartial eye
To guide me when my love is gone
He is gone, gone for good
Tell him to return
Tell him to return
