Now. Not tomorrow.
Yesterday
Not tomorrow
It happens today
The damage today
They fall on today
They beat on the outside
And I'll stand by you
Now. Not tomorrow
It's happening now
Not tomorrow
It's happening now
The crazed in the hot-zone
The mental and diva's hands
The fisting of life
To the music outside
To the music outside
It happens outside
The music is outside
It's happening outside
The music is outside
It's happening now
Not tomorrow
Yesterday
Not tomorrow
The music is outside
It's happening outside
The music is outside
The music is outside
Outside
Outside
It's hard to explain
Inherently it's just always been strange
Neither here nor there
Always somewhat out of place everywhere
Ambiguous
Without a sense of belonging to touch
Somewhere halfway
Feeling there's no one completely the same
Standing alone
Eager to just
Believe it's good enough to be what
You really are
But in your heart
Uncertainty forever lies
And you'll always be
Somewhere on the
Outside
Early on, you face
The realization you don't have a space
Where you fit in
And recognize you
Were born to exist
And it's hard
And it's hard
And it's hard
Irreversibly
Falling in between
And it's hard
And it's hard
To be understood
As you are
As you are
Oh, and God knows
That you're standing on your own
Blind and unguided
Into a world divided
You're thrown
Where you're never quite the same
Although you try - try and try
To tell yourself
You really are
But in your heart - uncertainty forever lies
And you'll always be
Somewhere on the outside
You'll always be
Outside the world's a mindless child
outside
Outside reflects the worst of styles
outside
Inside when you're in my arms
a mindless child is still to be borne
Inside, baby, when we come inside
Outside the politics of greed
outside
Outside misbehavior seethes
outside
Mindless repression dominates the street
while I kneel down and kiss your feet
Inside, baby, when we come inside
outside
Outside they don't think they breed
outside
Outside emotion determines need
outside
Outside the world's a mindless child
that we could bring to life in your arms
Inside, baby, when we come inside
Outside the politics of hate an greed
outside
Outside the world's a mindless child
outside
But when I hold you in my arms
it's a mindless child that you want
Inside, no matter 'bout the world Outside
Inside, a baby's what you want inside
Sunshine
Are you outside?
I am a simpleton by choice
not speaking to hear my voice
Sunshine
Why are you sleeping?
Gotta get outside
Cover the ground on foot
Not hitching around your spur
Over the river and trough the woods
I've come this far to bring in the goods
I get high, even when I don't try
Let 'em pass by with a wink to the eye
I reserve the right to be stoned
I reserve the right to take it to collect them sums I have the right
Don't try to be, there's really no point in you biting me
I'm glad to see that it's easy for me to be an MC
Let me tell you a little story
Like my dog Bobby, he hated the pool man
So I tried to play Kotter and make things cool
And I said just let him smell you, hold out your hand
He reached it on out, and then bam
He bit him, he bit him so fuckin' hard
Blood was steady gushin' all over my back yard
I kept apologizing, I felt so fuckin' bad
The dude was so cool, he didn't even get mad
He said man don't sweat it, that's the dog's meaning
Took some Neosporin and went back to his cleaning
Thought I had a dream or else it was a movie
Your mind can have a joint easy like jungle boogie
$600 freebie and I gots my job
Would you mind come but I gots my dog
Come you can foam the water with the bone
I wanna tell my mom, ring her on the phone
Cherry popsicle, icy, cold, freezing
Loves on his gums now that he is teething
Got a wee-wee pass, lay them by the door
Nasty Little shits he dropped them on the floor
Sunshine
Are you outside?
I am a simpleton by choice
Not speaking to hear my voice
Sunshine
Why are you sleeping?
Gotta get outside
I Think I'm Done With The Sofa
I think i'm done with the hall
I think i'm done with the kitchen table, baby
Let's go outside (let's go outside)
In the sunshine
I know you want to, but you can't say yes
Let's go outside
In the moonshine
Take me to the places that i love best
So my angel she says, don't you worry
'Bout the things they're saying, yeah
Got no friends in high places
And the game that you gave away
Wasn't worth playing
Let's go outside
In the sunshine
I know you want to, but you can't say yes
Let's go outside
In the meantime
Take me to the places that i love best
And yes i've been bad
Doctor won't you do with me what you can
You see i think about it all the time
Twenty four seven
You say you want it, you got it
I never really said it before
There's nothing here but flesh and bone
There's nothing more, nothing more
There's nothing more
Back to nature, just human nature
Getting on back to -
I think i'm done with the sofa
I think i'm done with the hall
I think i'm done with the kitchen table, baby
Let's go outside
In the sunshine
I know you want to, but you can't say yes
Let's go outside
In the moonshine
Take me to the places that i love best
And yes i've been bad
Doctor won't you do with me what you can
You see i think about it all the time
I'd service the community
(but i already have you see!)
I never really said it before
There's nothing here but flesh and bone
There's nothing more, nothing more
There's nothing more
Let's go outside
Dancing on the d-train baby
When the moon is high
And the grass is jumpin'
Come on, just keep on funkin'
Do you mind if we smoke this blunt outside?
Cuz' it's nice out and we could get high
Yea the sun shinin' and I'm feelin right
We outside, We outside (Hey, Hey, Hey)
I wake up, throw on some clothes and out the door I won't be back
My shinin' sun horizon settin up a lovely backdrop
My life's a topic of a lullabye
(Ah) A breath of fresh air, is something right
I don't wanna be inside today,
just keep it rollin like we ridin' skates
I got a happy of haze.
I'm thinkin we gon' get high today,
And let the sun shine all in my face.
Oh yeah this life is good, don't let it all go to waste
Just walk outside the door to get your mom off your case.
Yeah, free livin', I swear, I be on some hippie shit.
But gettin way fresher than the hippies is.
I got the, the gift of gab, somethin that you wish you had,
Don't even get a strap naw I'd rather kick a rap
Enjoy the place that you livin' at stay around
We just some kids and this world is a playground
Do you mind if we smoke this blunt outside?
Cuz' it's nice out and we could get high
Yea the sun shinin' and I'm feelin right
We could post outside for the night
Do you mind if we smoke this blunt outside?
Cuz' it's nice out and we could get high
Yea the sun shinin' and I'm feelin right
We outside, outside
When I be on some kid shit, gon take my shorty on a picnic
And everyday feelin like it's Christmas
the kinda weather had by people livin' so priviledged
I know the Lord Take, today he was tryna giveth
Hey, hey, ey, rich or poor, a sunny day a sunny day,
We start the madness as soon as we hit the month of May,
Rain, Rain, Go away, Waitin for my homie Mr. Sun to come our way.
Little kids runnin' through the streets playin,
Papi on the porch he ain't got time to waste it.
He's just a old man in the sea, Ernest Hemmingway,
Elevate, look up in the sky starin Heaven Space.
Second grade, holdin down the corner slangin' lemonade,
Everyday hustlin', you ridin' down penny lane.
You ain't gonna get a day like this,
so put the rest of your troubles with that goodnight kiss
Do you mind if we smoke this blunt outside?
Cuz' it's nice out and we could get high
Feel the sun shinin' and I'm feelin right
We could post outside for the night
Do you mind if we smoke this blunt outside?
Cuz' it's nice out and we could get high
Oh yeah the sun shinin' and I'm feelin right
We outside, outside
Do you mind if we smoke this blunt outside?
Cuz' it's nice out and we could get high
Feel the sun shinin' and I'm feelin right
We could post outside for the night
Do you mind if we smoke this blunt outside?
Cuz' it's nice out and we could get high
Oh yeah the sun shinin' and I'm feelin right
If you like it I'll fight
If you like we can take it outside
If it makes you feel nice
Does it make you feel alright inside?
Do you do the same every night?
When you're bored do you start up a fight?
A small part of your life
Or does your life come alive on a Saturday night
You make me laugh, you make me low
Make me hate, make me throw
Make me wanna drag your face
Along the side of the road
What's the matter with you?
Why do you do what you do?
Hope ya happy, feeling big now?
Do you pick a shape or a size?
Or just as long as they're too drunk to fight
Do you give the same to your wife
Or do you save it for the slut you're fucking on the side?
You think you know what I'm like
You think you know me 'cause you see my face all of the time
You gotta open your eyes
Take a good look around, take yourself for a ride
You make me laugh, you make me low
Make me hate, make me throw
Make me wanna drag your face
Along the side of the road
What's the matter with you?
Why do you do what you do?
Hope ya happy, feeling big now?
I hear you brag it up high
I bet you missed out the part when you started to cry
You couldn't look in my eyes
And now you're walking away with your head in the sky
You make me laugh, you make me low
Make me hate, make me throw
Make me wanna drag your face
Along the side of the road
What's the matter with you?
Why do you do what you do?
And you bring me to my knees, again
All this time that I could beg you please, in vain
All the times that I felt insecure, for you
And I leave my burdens at the door
I'm on the outside
I'm looking in
I can see through you
See your true colors
'Cause inside you're ugly
Ugly like me
I can see through you
See to the real you
All this time that I felt like this won't end
It's for you
And I taste what I could never have
Was from you
All those times that I tried
My intentions
Full of pride
And I waste more time than anyone
I'm on the outside
I'm looking in
I can see through you
See your true colors
Cause inside you're ugly
Ugly like me
I can see through you
See to the real you
All the times that I cried
All this wastin
It's all inside
And I feel all this pain
Stuffed it down
It's back again
And I lie here in bed
All alone
I cant mend but I feel
Tomorrow will be okay
I'm on the outside
I'm looking in
I can see through you
See your true colors
Inside you're ugly
Ugly like me
I can see through you
See to the real you
I'm on the outside... I'm on the outside...
[Verse 1:]
See these ni**az don't get it till I spazz out
When I see a full moon and they assed out
Get a dutch get a light then grass out
More smoke more fire till I pass out
That's how ni**as get finished like popeye's spinach
On a top five list, go cop my shit
Never cop out when the cops out
Do not doubt I got {clout} the {rapper's rappers rap about}
C-H-A-R spitting like an A-R
Fifteen my shits mean so get lean
The MVP in pink, no draft pick
Just drastic, get ya ass whipped
Don't gimme no help just gimme ya belt
So when you start feeling ya self, you'd be feeling the welt
Charles hamilton is back, Sha-leik on the track
This beat is so crack, I got jeezy in the back
[Chorus:]
On the outside looking and I want in
On the outside looking and I want in
On the outside looking and I want in
And I want in and I want in
On the outside looking and I want in
On the outside looking and I want in
On the outside looking and I want in
And I want in and I want in
[Verse 2:]
Got ni**as holding they head whenever they cipher with me
Get rowdy like I got Roddy Piper with me
Ya bitch ass looking like a diaper, dig me
I might just hit until I strike ya kidney
And watchu gonna do (Not a god damn thing)
What ya man gon do (not a god damn thing) (yeah)
Step inside this god damn ring and watch ya ass leave with (not a god damn thing)
I never lost a battle so fuck u rap ni**as
All you do is double talk, I don't trust u rap ni**as
You rap with no class, so I cut u rap ni**as
Give you a pound?, the hell would I touch u rap ni**as?
It's me, Cassidy, and Weezy, the new class
You don't see yo name on the list, why you mad?
My ni**as my fam you don't get it my man
I'm hungry for the game little ni**a I- Am
[Chorus:]
On the outside looking and I want in
On the outside looking and I want in
On the outside looking and I want in
And I want in and I want in
On the outside looking and I want in
On the outside looking and I want in
On the outside looking and I want in
And I want in and I want in
[Verse 3:]
See I was born out in cleveland, raised here in harlem
Money or not, I'm gon' stay here in harlem
Play here in harlem lay here in harlem
I'm already ghost, see my grave here in harlem
I stay clear of problems but it always finds me
So I sit on ni**as that say charles is grimy
A day in my life would make a hot picture
Not just 1 song like that jason fox ni**a
I'm way too sick for the chicken noodle soup
I make new hits and my ni***s do it too
Fuck outside the box, man I'm living through the roof
Living proof my condition ain't got shit to do with u
{The hits that they produce} isn't what you fools used to
I ate the apple from the tree and made it fruity loops
Cause I'm the true babe ruth of the booth stay true to my roots
Make music but you, {you}
[Chorus:]
On the outside looking and I want in
On the outside looking and I want in
On the outside looking and I want in
And I want in and I want in
On the outside looking and I want in
On the outside looking and I want in
On the outside looking and I want in
And I want in and I want in
[Bridge:]
I'm on the outside
I'm a get in
I can see through you
See your true colors
Inside you're ugly
Ugly like me
I can see through you
Outside in the darkness
There's something happening here
Outside in the darkness
Speeding out through the universe
Hot fear and a heartbeat
Standing face to face
Red light in the distance
It's getting cold and the air is running out
Outside in the darkness
There could be nothing for days
Outside in the darkness
I can hear the devil walk about
Flying over the rock face
And over cities in flames
Red light in the distance
It's getting cold and the air is running out
It?s on my TV screen
I'm not a static machine, oh
It?s on my TV screen
I'm not a static machine, oh
It?s on my TV screen
Seems the time is near for finding a place outside
Seems the time is here for holding the window wide
So I'm going to try
To open up one eye
But if the world is too wide
I'll be home to hide
Keep it warm inside, if it's strange, outside.
Seems the time has flown, when we lived inside a cloud
Seems the time has gone, when nothing we said was out loud
Going to find a word
Make myself be heard
But if the world is too loud
I'll be home from the crowd
Keep it soft inside, if it's strange, outside.
Seems the time has come for banging our feet to the ground
Seems the time has come to see if the world is round
Sweep the smoke away
Reach the earth today
But if the world is all wrong
I won't be staying long
[verse 1]
i used to dream every night, now i don't dream at all
hopin' that it's cause i'm livin' everything i want
used to wake up in a bed between my mom and aunt
playing with this land before time toy from pizza hut
my dad works nights
putting on a stone face
he's saving up so we can get our own place
in the projects, man that sounds fancy to me
they called me fat nose, my mom say you handsome to me
mrs. glover ma'am, your son is so advanced
but he's acting up in class and keeps peeing in his pants
and i just wanna fit in, but nobody was helping me out
they talking hood shit and i ain't know what that was about
cause hood shit and black shit is super different
so i'm talking hood shit and cool it now like new edition
mom and dad wouldn't listen
they left the bronx so i wouldn't be that
all their friends in ny deal crack
it's weird, you think that they'd be proud of him
but when you leave the hood they think that you look down on 'em
truth is we still struggle on a different plane
7 dollars an hour, with vouchers, it's all the same
facebook messaging hopin' that could patch up shit
but all they get now is, “can your son read this script?”
[hook]
there's a world we can visit if we go outside
outside, outside
we can follow the road
there's a world we can visit if we go outside
outside, outside
no one goes
there's a world we can visit if we go outside
outside, outside
we can follow the road
there's a world we can visit if we go outside
outside, outside
no one knows
[verse 2]
yeah
dad lost his job
mama worked at mrs. winner's
gun pulled in her face
she still made dinner
“donald watch the meter
so they don't turn the lights off”
workin' two jobs so i can get into that white school
and i hate it there
they all make fun of my clothes and wanna touch my hair
and my uncle on that stuff that got my grandma shook
drug dealers roughed him up and stole his address book
he's supposed to pay 'em back
he owe 'em money but his bank account is zero
so my momma made us sleep with phillips heads under the pillow
like that would do somethin'
but she's got six kids, she's gotta do somethin'
she don't want me in a lifestyle like my cousin
and he mad cause his father ain't around
he lookin' at me now, like
“why you so fuckin lucky?
i had a father too
but he ain't around so i'mma take it out on you”
we used to say “i love you”
now we only think that shit
it feels weird that you're the person i took sink baths with
street took you over
i want my cousin back
the world sayin' what you are because you're young and black
don't believe 'em
you're still that kid that kept the older boys from teasin'
for some reason
[hook]
[outro]
can you hear me now?
can you hear me now?
oh, help us lord
Nostalgia's great and stories are good
Nothing like an old time coming 'round again
Nostalgia's great, thinking 'bout fate
Wondering how it all could have been
I've been outside, drifting outside
So long, can't start again
I've been outside, living outside
Don't see me walkin' back in
The sun is cruel to a stranger's face
Takes its toll, then fades away
Nights are long, in a lonely place
Darkness shows just where you are now
I've been outside, drifting outside
So long, can't start again
And I've been outside, living outside
Don't see me walkin' back in
I think about you now
And again my autumn love
I think about you now and again
Somethin' 'bout your name
It moves within the wind
I think about you now and again
Nostalgia's great, old stories are good
It's time to go outside
I'm gonna be sick for a while
It's gonna be quite some time
If that's what we never had
We gotta get used to it
I'm glad to get used to it fast
Tell me what my name can mean
In the dictionary scene
Yeah that's like over 40 million sold
(Oh) we doing right
But why write when we can type
Computers get me psyched
They'll probably make us slaves in 40 years
And it's time to go outside
I'm gonna be sick for a while
It's gonna be quite some time
If that's what we never had
We gotta get used to it
I'm glad to get used to it fast
And throw the window through the door
We don't use this anymore
I'm not throwing stones
And it means the world to me
Oh three due in time
With the love of love gives life
Oh your heart it helps so much
When we're barely scraping by
It's time to go outside
I'm gonna be sick for a while
It's gonna be quite some time
If that's what we never had
We gotta get used to it
I'm glad to get used to it fast
Open [x4]
And it means the world to me
And it's time to go outside
I'm gonna be sick for a while
It's gonna be quite some time
If that's what we never had
We gotta get used to it
I'm glad to get used to it fast
It's time to (oooh)
If that's what we never had
We gotta get used to it
I'm glad to get used to it fast
And it's time to go outside
I'm gonna be sick for a while
It's gonna be quite some time
Outside, I stretch the mind that hides within
New pride, I lose four walls that keep me tied
Outside, I breathe new air that reaches me
Fresh tide, does all the cleansing life can give
Tongue-tied, no words will match this point of view
Chastise, I don't belong as no one owns
Washing, flowing, taking, all my fears away
Rushing, blowing, touching, gives all life a grace
Washing, flowing, taking, all my fears away outside
Outside, I stretch the mind that hides within
New pride, I lose four walls that keep me tied
Washing, flowing, taking, all these fears away
Rushing, blowing, touching, gives my life a grace
He wants to give but he'll give himself away
She wants to take but she's taking all she can
They've got it all figured out
He wants to listen but there so much more to say
She wants to shout it out loud but she doesn't
She doesn't open her mouth
Had enough of crying
When she's happy and smiling when she sad
Had enough of wondering
What became of all the dreams he had
Are they out there somewhere
Baby don't you stay there on the inside
Together we can make it on the outside
You and me on the outside
Can you remember the way it used to feel
We'd run as fast and as far as we wanted to go
But then the walls closed in
And I was one step forward and two steps back
Two steps forward and three steps back
Oh it's all too much
So take my hand we'll jump together
Baby I won't leave you on the inside
Together we can make it on the outside
You and me on the outside
You and me on the outside
On the outside
Shine your light on me and I'll shine my light on you
Shine my light on you if you shine your light on me
Shine your light on me and I'll shine my light on you
On the outside
On the outside
On the outside
Baby I won't leave you on the inside
Together we can make it on the outside
You and me on the outside
You and me on the out (yeah)
Someone left the door open
Who left me outside
I'm bent I'm not broken
Come live in my life
All the words left unspoken
All the pages I write
On my knees and I'm hoping
That someone holds me tonight
Hold me tonight
Welcome to the world
And all the landing that was wasted
The blood upon your hands
And the wickedness that made it
Seem to scream it all
And the memories get faded
See the exit wound
Dear God what have we taken
I guess I'll say a prayer
And I'll kiss into the air
I'll look into the sky
Send them straight to nowhere
We all dug the grave
Can't shake away the shame
Can't quiver in the sky
But your shaking all the same
You left us with the guns
And all of 'em were loaded
Teach us how to shoot
But you taught us how to hold them
All the weight of all the world
Is right between your shoulders
Heavy is the heart
When the world keeps growing colder
Who left the door open
Who left me outside
I'm on my knees and I'm hoping
That someone holds me tonight
Hold me tonight
Two sides to every story
Here's a little morning glory
Breakfast of a mirror dying slow
Seems a little boring
Burn it like a flag
Walk it straight into the breeze
Cause there's two types of people
You are weak or you are me
Yeah what's another life time
Like mine
We all die a little sometimes
It's alright
Did you come to say your goodbyes
To this life
We all hard a little sometimes
We're alright
So mothers hold your children
Don't you ever let 'em go
There is weakness in your grip
And they are holding all your hope
Don't you ever let me go
Don't you ever let me go
Don't you ever let me go
Don't you ever let me go
Who left the door open
Who left me outside
I'm on my knees and I'm hoping
That someone holds me tonight
Hold me tonight
Someone left the door open
Who left me outside
I'm bent I'm not broken
Come live in my life
All the words left unspoken
All the pages I write
On my knees and I'm hoping
Oh no feels like I'm falling
Away from myself
Outside feels like it's calling
I just want to get a little bit out of my head
I just want to get a little bit out of my head
What I want is what I said, get a little bit outside of my head
I just want to get a little bit out of my head
I want to get a couple hundred miles from here
I want to get a couple hundred miles from here
I've hung my hat in disgrace, now I just want to get out of this place
I want to get a couple hundred miles from here
I want to have a party tonight
Get a little wild at a party tonight
Get my head to the level of a flying kite
Or be digging in the garden of delight
I want to have a party tonight
Want to make a new story in the glory of the morning light
Want to make a new story in the glory of the morning light
Beat back sorrow for a little while
Do it again with a little more style
Make a new story in the glory of the morning light
Want to ride on the river till the river takes my cares away
Want to ride on the river till the river takes my cares away
Want to ride on the river till the river runs dry
Or I grow wings and learn to fly
Want to ride on the river till the river takes my cares away
Want to make a new story in the glory of the morning light
Want to make a new story in the glory of the morning light
Beat back sorrow for a little while
Do it again with a little more style
Make a new story in the glory of the morning light
Want to ride on the river till the river takes my cares away
Want to ride on the river till the river takes my cares away
Want to ride on the river till the river runs dry
Or I grow wings and learn to fly
Want to ride on the river till the river takes my cares away
And you bring me to my knees again
All this time that I could beg you please, in vain
All the times that I've felt insecure for you
And I leave my burdens at the door
But I'm on the outside, I'm looking in
I can see through you, see your true colors
'Cause inside you're ugly, you're ugly like me
I can see through you, see to the real you
All this time that I felt like this won't end
It was for you
And I taste but I could never have
It's from you
All those times that I tried
My intentions were full of pride
And I waste more time than anyone
But I'm on the outside, I'm looking in
I can see through you, see your true colors
'Cause inside you're ugly, you're ugly like me
I can see through you, see to the real you
All the times that I've cried
All this wasted, it's all inside
And I feel all this pain
Stuffed it down, it's back again
And I lie here in bed
All alone, I can't mend
And I feel tomorrow will be okay
But I know
That I'm on the outside, I'm looking in
I can see through you, see your true colors
'Cause inside you're ugly, you're ugly like me
yeah, yeah
the last thing i wanna be is out here
rather be outside in the green
climb trees, maybe play ball basket
i got two feet, i don't need no taxi
relaxing underneath the sky so blue
in the sun so warm there's so much i wanna do
but locked in a studio while outside is beautiful
all the fresh air, you can't get us out of
turn off the computer yo, use your own .
we could do whatever you want, it's up to you to know!
ride with your friends, man, stop
cause when this world ends, all that's left is the
..go ahead and have some adventure
please, ever since the turn of the century
people losing such a
so put your hands out, feel the breeze, feel the heat cause
chorus:
i really wanna go out, i really wanna go outside and..
i really wanna go out, i really wanna go outside and..
the more we're cooped up we become lose nuts
but when we do stuff, maybe we could losen up
and stop stressing of the things that are present
cause yeah.. is a delicate..
fruits and vegies
food is the truth, oops, that's a new lesson
learn from it, it's your stomach if you're
it's probably cause the food ain't for the earth, cousin
works something you should enjoy
usually but now it's amazing if you was employed
so keep and find the things in the foil
and the oil, what's important is the soil
no more murder, keep it fertile, jump the
even pacing like a turtle, still make it to the ..white gates
what a to escape from the haze, and the hate, everything goes away, so
chorus:
i really wanna go out, i really wanna go outside and..
Gazing, pale black eyes
Longing, to see them
Bleed for his needs and cry for their lost lifes
He's telling us all but we're cold and small
I can't feel. I'm just bored and out of reach
Life is our only world
I'm watching the wicked play outside
Life is our only world
I'm watching the wicked play outside
We will hide the reasons come close
And die with empty eyes he will
Kill your sweet dreams stragle your whole world
He's growing inside, under blackend skies
I can't feel I'm tired and I don't care.
Life is our only world
I'm watching the wicked play outside
Life is our only world
I'm watching the wicked play outside
Fill me some more, I'm waiting for your blood
He's telling us all but we're cold and small
I can't feel I've seen in all before
Life is our only world
I'm watching the wicked play outside
Life is our only world

[verse 1]
i let you show me his moves
let you do what he taught you
let you reminisce how you used, to do
girl i'm open to anything that would get you into that zone
baby i can stay up all night
and understand that we're all alone
so you can slowly take off you're clothes
baby you know what's in store
baby i can stay up all night
i've been goin' hard since last night
and i'mma go harder tonight
wish you can see you through my eyes
ooh i'm tellin' you this ain't the same
and i know he's still in your brain
i'm 'bout to burn that shit into flames
once i'm in you
baby
[hook]
i can't let you know
make yourself at home
'cuz baby when i'm finished with ya you won't wanna go
outside
[verse 2]
and i'mma work you like a pro, baby
while, you gon' take it like one
yeah you gon' take it like one
and i'mma give it like ya asked for it
why, cuz you been talkin' 'bout it
know you been talkin' 'bout it
ooh baby when i'm done with you
you ain't sayin nothin'
yeah you ain't sayin nothin'
ooh baby when i'm done with you
you ain't sayin nothin'
yeah you ain't sayin nothin'
you gon' make me show off
all the pain that you feel you can tell that we ain't makin no love
but i'll pretend
oh girl, i'll pretend
if you pretend then girl i'll pretend
let's make it seem like we're all we need in the end
[hook]
i can't let you know
make yourself at home
'cuz baby when i'm finished with ya you won't wanna go
Showing signs of nothing but troubled times
Since I had you
Had you on my mind
But your heart is locked
You left me outside
Don't get a buzz, baby
When I start buzzing when you're here
Why don't you return?
Please come over here
But your heart's locked up
You left me outside
You left me outside
I been brought down
And it's a bad sensation
It's just too much
Too much for me to take
Without a chance now
There's no romance now
I better leave before I break
Oh oh
I been brought down
And it's a bad sensation
It's just too much
Too much for me to take
Without a chance now
There's no romance now
I better leave before I break
Oh oh
Don't get a buzz, baby
When I start buzzing when you're near
Why don't you return?
Please come over here
But your heart's locked up
Take me home
For one day
Wherever home would be
All I Touched around burned
My fingerprints
Clarity has dried my throat
And I Can't hum any more
Lullabies about us
Sky will keep my secrets crushed within the clouds
You...
You will go.
And I can't see it flaming through your teary eyes
You...
You have promised
Only the memories will keep us half alive
I drift outside
Days will be
Just like before
As if we never met
I remain still and silent
Pretending
Stealing
Being the unpredictable
You...
You will go.
And I can see it flaming through your teary eyes
You have promised
Only the memories will keep us half alive
I've been living in a different life
At a different time
When all I saw was you
I've been walking around my room
I see a girl on the other side and she looks at me
But there's nothing that I find!
I've been holding back for you
I've been holding back, holding back
And if lightning strikes you down
I'll be left on the outside
And if colours can't be found
I'll be left on the outside
And I can't find the words to say
So I remain the same
Come on, come on
Open up for me
Left on the outside
Many times that I lie awake and I think of me
And I never fail to see
A little piece of my mind so down, so down
You can leave it up to me starting to believe
That I'm getting to know you well
I've been holding back for you
I've been holding back, holding back
And if lightning strikes you down
I'll be left on the outside
And if colours can't be found
I'll be left on the outside
And I can't find the words to say
So I remain the same
Come on, come on
Open up
And I want to try for you
If you'll notice me too
And I won't lie to you
Please say the same
I'll take my time
Keep your light on, honey
Keep your light on
And if lightning strikes you down
I'll be left on the outside
And if colours can't be found
I'll be left on the outside
And if lightning strikes you down
I'll be left on the outside
And if colours can't be found
I'll be left on the outside
And I can't find the words to say
So I remain the same
Come on, come on
Open up for me
Left on the outside
Left on the outside
This evil burns me up, consumes me
Swallows me whole
And destroys the light that
Makes everything pure
Outside
A weeping echo of hate soon fades
Amongst the crumbling ruins
Of my shattered coherence
Bleeding, slowly churning onwards
Nightmares unbind
The turning threads of life
Demise of an identity
Moulting into obscure, tortuous convolutions
Locking into me
Throughout my chemistry
This wrath just waiting
Eager to devour
Outside
My saddened soul is noticing
Decay and carelessness
Ploughing wrinkles into the face
Of humanity
Turning
Turning all true will to age
Turning all will to destruction
As we all indulge in one last dance
Towards extinction
Sweet melancholy madness still finds
A tragic beauty to this decaying ensemble
As I reminisce upon the fallen beauty of the past
It's feelings fallen forever
To the starving void of time
And you bring me to my knees
Again
All these times that I could beg you please
In vain
All the times
That I felt insecure
For you
And I leave my burdens at the door
I'm on the outside
I'm looking in
I can see through you
See your true colors
'Cause inside you're ugly
You're ugly like me
I can see through you
See to the real you
(Fred Durst, speaking)
This is the real motherfucking deal y'all
I'm feeling those lighters
All the times that I felt like this won't end
Was for you
And I taste what I could never have
It's from you
All those times that I've tried
My Intentions
Full of Pride
And I waste more time than anyone
I'm on the outside
I'm looking in
I can see through you
See your true colors
'Cause inside you're ugly
You're ugly like me
I can see through you
See to the real you
All the times that I've cried
All this wasted
Its all inside
And i feel all this pain
Stuffed it down
Its back again
And I lie here in bed
All alone
I can't mend
And I feel
Tomorrow will be ok
Only hope
(Fred Durst and Aaron Lewis, Sung)
I'm on the outside
I'm looking in
I can see through you
See your true colors
Inside you're ugly
You're ugly like me
I can see through you
Sometimes when I'm walking through the night
the darkest time
I'm looking through the windows open wide
the light inside
Someone else's life seems always fine
while mine cries
Because I'm looking in from the darker side
outside
I'm hiding outside here
from the only life so real
Inside I might die
so I can't open the door so near
for me
When I'm living someone else's life
so peaceful inside
I wish this feeling will not ever die
inside
I'm hiding outside here
from the only life so real
Inside I might die
so I can't open the door so near
I'm hiding outside here
from the only life so real
Inside I might die
Painting my roses red
Remember all the
Bloody things they said
Wiping my hands
That bleed
Bleeding into the dirt
That groans under me
Constantly my dirty friend
Help me roll over again
There's a fence by the road
I should climb
It was there
That my palette
And I would wait
For our paintings
To flower and stitch up
The canvas on our return
Elbow on a broken seed
Opening an angry mouth
That bleeds
Times when the grounds
Crawling like mice
Are birds and like birds
Are men and me eyes
On either side
Of my head so never
Either eye shall meet
Firey come, firey go
Burning you memory on me
There's an artist
Whose strength I admire
Who's warming his feet
By my fire
These riches he owns
Aren't the same
As the tokens we win
Playing games
(Greg)
Through the windshield, on the footbridge
They cling to each other at the close of day
They've not a care for the crush of traffic
Their captive audience, they say
Look we've each other
What more could we ask for
We're right where we want to be
We're right where we want to be
And my heart skips and I twist a little
And the light's green and I drive away
I think who knows
What it is what it might be
I know anything goes
I've been there don't remind me
All kinds of twisted thoughts
Swirling through her head
She's already wondering about the baby
And look at him, watch his eyes
Who knows could be
He's already gone for the weekend in his mind
So here I am All on my own
Looking around Sun is shining
In all directions And now I feel
The wave inside And now I feel
He's breathes the air lightly
Since skipping parole
And he dials the phone quietly
But she put him on hold
There are good sons and bad seeds
She thinks he's the latter
But it no longer matters what she'll say
He'll be driving all night anyway
Over backroads he'll ride
Then he cuts the headlights
And he watches their lives
From the outside
And they can't let him in
So he's driving again
As he's wishful thinking
On the outside
Mmmmmmm...
Oh say can you see by the dawns early light
Playing on the T.V.
I guess he's in for the night
He fell asleep waiting for his sister to call
All the motels and roadside bars
He wants home but it only gets farther
Over backroads he'll ride
Then he cuts the headlights
And he watches their lives
From the outside
And they can't let him in
So he's driving again
As he's wishful thinking
On the outside
Oohhh...
Yes, it's killing them knowing he's out there, somewhere
Reminding that they could be too
oohhh...
Over backroads he'll ride
Then he cuts the headlights
And he watches their lives
On the outside
And they can't let him in
Cause they know where he's been
So he's left there thinking
On the outside
On the outside
Have you ever thought about how nothing lives without the light?
But you can go blind staring at the sun
Sometimes when I look at you I have to turn away
But I can't bare the darkness when you're gone
And I reach out for you
Don't know where to begin
Always outside looking in
Don't know how to begin
Always outside looking in
Now I only think about how I can't live without the light
I take my chances staring at the sun
If I could only look at you I would never turn away
Because I can't bare the darkness when you're gone
And I'd reach out for you
Don't know where to begin
Always outside looking in
Don't know how to begin
I think I'm done with the sofa
I think I'm done with the hall
I think I'm done with the kitchen table, baby
Let's go outside (let's go outside) in the sunshine
I know you want to, but you can't say yeah
Let's go outside in the moonshine
Take me to the places that I love best
So my angel, he says, don't you worry
'Bout the things they 're saying, yeah
Got no friends in high places and the game that you gave away
Wasn't worth playing
Let's go outside in the sunshine
I know you want to, but you can't say yeah
Let's go outside in the meantime
Take me to the places that I love best
And yes, I've been bad
Doctor, won't you do with me what you can
You see I think about it all the time, twenty-four seven
(Twenty- four, twenty-four seven)
You say you want it, you got it
I never really said it before
There 's nothing here, but flesh and bone
There 's nothing more, nothing more
There 's nothing more, oh, oh, oh
Back to nature, just human nature
You say you want it, you got it
I never really said it before
There 's nothing here, but flesh and bone
There 's nothing more, nothing more
There 's nothing more, oh, oh, oh
You say you want it, you got it
I never really said it before
There 's nothing here, but flesh and bone
There 's nothing more, nothing more
There 's nothing more, oh, oh, oh
Back to nature, just human nature
I think I'm done with the sofa
I think I'm done with the hall
I think I'm done with the kitchen table, baby
For your time its written out.
Work means nothing by itself.
These days are numbered, I can tell.
Until the crash I'll write you down.
Selection kills the old.
Selection breathes on its own.
Sing while you can.

tell a lie thats enough give me a story you made up and
ill forgive you, i don't care what you say you know its
all in your head. ill never get you. And your talking
these things through like you know what you've been
through but theres not a lot of reason in the things
that we believe in so i'll believe in you.
i am on the outside of truth and i'm looking in on you.
but you're staining this town with fighting.
You're staining this town with fighting.
And I'm honest as a photo booth.
I'm just playing off of you,
but you're leaving me fast as lightning.
You're leaving me just to spite me.
And it must be hard living in a castle counting daddy's money's must be a hassle. probably you cant
divide and i probably should live a lie but I've been
taught that theres more to living life then knowing
scores, i'm proud to say i'm honest, i'm proud to say
i'm right.
i am on the outside of truth and i'm looking in on you.
but you're staining this town with fighting.
You're staining this town with fighting.
And I'm honest as a photo booth.
I'm just playing off of you,
but you're leaving me fast as lightning.
You're leaving me just to spite me.
Time out i don't need this drama and i will take you
back any day, i will take you back, and i am out of
things to argue but i will take you on any day i will
take you on.
i am on the outside of truth and i'm looking in on you.
but you're staining this town with fighting.
You're staining this town with fighting.
And I'm honest as a photo booth.
I'm just playing off of you,
but you're leaving me fast as lightning.
She was so perfect she was so pretty
She had everything but no friends
They hated her they wouldn't see
That she fighted all her strength
Lonely she cried and cried
She just tried to hide
This couldn't be the true
She didn't know what to do
She was outside in the cold air
With others that wouldn't stop stare
She asked for something new
But she didn't knew
I'll be like others she said to herself
She change everything but no friends
They hated her they woulnd't help
In her big fight all her strength
Lonely she cried and cried
She just tried to hide
This couldn't be the true
She didn't know what to do
She was outside in the cold air
With others that wouldn't stop stare
She asked for something new
But she didn't knew
When your lonesome tonight,
you got to know,
I'll be there for you.
I'm outside, I'm outside.
You're outside, You're outside.
I'm outside, I'm outside.
You're outside, You're outside.
When your lonesome tonight,
you got to know,
I'll be there for you.
I'm outside, I'm outside.
You're outside, You're outside.
I'm outside, I'm outside.
And you can bring me to my knees, again
All the times, that I can beg you please, in vain
All the times that I felt insecure, for you
And I leave my burdens at the door
I'm on the outside
I'm looking in
I can see through you
See your true colors
'Cause inside you're ugly
You're ugly like me
I can see through you
See to the real you

I can see through you
See to the real you
All the times, that I've cried
All this wasted, it's all inside
And I feel, all this pain, stuffed it down
It's back again
And I lie, here in bed, all alone, I can't mend
but I feel, tomorrow will be okay
That I'm on the outside
I'm looking in
I can see through you
See your true colors
'Cause inside you're ugly
You're ugly like me
I can see through you
I think I'm done with the sofa
I think I'm done with the hall
I think I'm done with the kitchen table, baby
Let's go outside (let's go outside)
in the sunshine
I know you want to, but you cant say yes
let's go outside

take me to the places that I love best

take me to the places that I love best
And yes I've been bad
doctor won't you do with me what you can
you see I think about it all the time
twenty four seven
You say you want it, you got it
I never really said it before
there's nothing here but flesh and bone
there's nothing more, nothing more
there's nothing more
Back to nature, just human nature
getting on back to -
I think I'm done with the sofa
I think I'm done with the hall
I think I'm done with the kitchen table, baby
Let's go outside
in the sunshine
I know you want to, but you cant say yes
let's go outside
in the moonshine
take me to the places that I love best
and yes I've been bad
doctor won't you do with me what you can
you see I think about it all the time
I'd service the community
(but I already have you see!)
I never really said it before
there's nothing here but flesh and bone
there's nothing more, nothing more
there's nothing more
let's go outside
dancing on the D-train baby
when the moon is high
and the grass is jumpin'
come on, just keep on funkin'
Do not bury your best intentions
Said you never would, swore you never would
Follow your heart to the place where you missed it
If you only could, if you only could
They all say that we've been burning out
Too young to know what it's all about
I say I say we get away
Forget this town and get away
Outside, outside lookin' inside
Inside we will find
Everything's easier on the other side
Everything's easier
Crawling out of the life that we built here
Fought so many times just to feel alive
All the years well they came and they left here
And we've grown so tired never been so
They all say that we've been breaking out
To broke to know what it's all about
I say I say we get away
Take what's left and get away and
Outside outside lookin' inside
Inside we will find
Everything's easier on the other side
Everything's easier
Wo-ah wo-ah
Is this what you wanted
Is this what you're fighting for
Are you stuck in your reasons
Can't leave 'em at the door
This city is burning
We're the only ones alive
So take all the knifes we lost in the rhymes
And leave them behind
Outside outside lookin' inside
Inside we will find
Everything's easier on the other side
Everything, everything no no
Outside outside lookin' inside
Inside we will find
Everything's easier on the other side
Everything's easier
Wo-ah wo-ah
Can't always find your way
Can't always find your way
Wo-ah wo-ah
Can't always find your way
Always find our way
But we are there to love
It's safe and it's warm inside this sanctuary
Where we come to worship, to witness and marry
But after we've gathered I have to confess
My soul feels a restlessness to take this remarkable light
Outside where people are hurting
Suffering and searching for some place to hide
Inside God pulls us together from a world torn apart
To carry the love in our hearts, outside
It's time to leave self-centered thinking behind us
Expecting the whole world to seek out and find us
Jesus is making us people who care and if we will be willing to share
These graces can be multiplied
Outside where people are hurting
Suffering and searching for some place to hide
Inside God pulls us together from a world torn apart
To carry the love in our hearts, outside
Outside where people are hurting
Suffering and searching for some place to hide
Inside God pulls us together from a world torn apart
To carry this love in our hearts
Outside where people are hurting
Suffering and searching for some place to hide
Inside God pulls us together from a world torn apart
To carry this love in our hearts
Outside, outside
Let's all go outside
We got to take the love outside
I think I saw the truth tonight
I think I saw the truth tonight
Did you call a name out for the fucking outside?
I think I saw the truth tonight, tonight, in your eyes, with her eyes
You say you saw the truth tonight
Tonight
We'll settle this tonight
For every single minute that
We anger
Burn me to your side
Believe
That every drop you bleed
Could never ever santuate
The hunger that eats away at me
So release me
Release me
Just release me
Outside
The line
I'm stretched and open wide
Has thrown me to this
Ever constant darkness
Keep secrets I can't hide
So release me
Release me
Just release me
Outside
What is done
Can never change
And all your words just make this harder
Faithless martyr
Who has lost so much along the way
His bloodied hands can not escape this
But I can't take this anymore
Release me
Release me
Just release me
Outside
Release me
Release me
Just release me
Even in the morning
With the light upon your face,
I look up and show the motions I'll use.
I can hear you breathing,
I feel the space and I...
Oh, I...
I'll be the one you'll never know.
Once you were the wildest man,
I've ever known,
Free from what the others said.
On your own.
I'll go, I'll go in the place you'll never know.
Wait until your wedding day,
Then you'll know!
Take it for your medicine,
Take what you sew!
Freak out, freak out, freak out!
I've been sure,
Will you look me in the eye?
Will you run from what you see?
Will you see me in the light?
I hope you do, I hope you stay!
And never leave.
Once it's never, nothing, no
I heard you say,
Once it's never, nothing, no
Take all you get!
Freak out, freak out, freak out!
I've been sure,
Will you look me in the eye?
Will you run from what you see?
Will you see me in the light?
Hope you do, I hope you stay!
Even in the morning,
Even inside,
I come on over,
And wake you in the night.
I feel you tremble,
I hear you call,
I'll be waiting
Up inside the moment
I thought you knew,
I see you walking,
You're turning blue,
Come up behind me and hear me say,
I'll be holding on...for a day!
Will you look me in the eye?
Will you run from what you see?
Will you see me in the light?
Hope you do, I hope you stay!
Don't go running from the light,
Don't go running to the sea!
Come on up inside my mind,
I hope you go there, stay there,
Hide there, wait there!
A familiar song
Won't you sing along
Something to prolong the waiting
In this secret place
Where we can embrace
All the history in the making
And we come in, to see you
All alone again
Don't forget to go outside
To go outside your shell
Don't regret what you denied
What you denied, what you denied
All the casualties 180 degrees
Lip sink every breathe were taking
Somewhat static lines
Reaching out tonight
It's the mode and mould were breaking
And we come in, to see you
All alone again
Don't forget to go outside
To go outside your shell
Don't regret what you denied
What you denied, what you denied
Don't forget to go outside your shell
Don't regret what you denied yourself
In the harmony
Ride along with me
It won't work if you've been faking
And we come in
To see you, all alone again
Don't forget to go outside your shell
Don't regret what you denied yourself
Don't forget to go outside your shell
Don't regret what's left behind. yourself
Lyrics Written By: A. Wasiliev
It's time to go outside
I'm gonna be sick for a while
It's gonna be quite some time
If that's what we never had
We gotta get used to it
I'm glad to get used to it fast
Tell me what my name can mean
In the dictionary scene
Yeah that's like over 40 million sold
(Oh) we doing right
But why write when we can type
Computers get me psyched
They'll probably make us slaves in 40 years
And it's time to go outside
I'm gonna be sick for a while
It's gonna be quite some time
If that's what we never had
We gotta get used to it
I'm glad to get used to it fast
And throw the window through the door
We don't use this anymore
I'm not throwing stones
And it means the world to me
Oh three due in time
With the love of love gives life
Oh your heart it helps so much
When we're barely scraping by
It's time to go outside
I'm gonna be sick for a while
It's gonna be quite some time
If that's what we never had
We gotta get used to it
I'm glad to get used to it fast
Open [x4]
And it means the world to me
And it's time to go outside
I'm gonna be sick for a while
It's gonna be quite some time
If that's what we never had
We gotta get used to it
I'm glad to get used to it fast
It's time to (oooh)
If that's what we never had
We gotta get used to it
I'm glad to get used to it fast
And it's time to go outside
I'm gonna be sick for a while
(Verse)
Wandering alone outside
Wandering alone outside
I cut you all in a lie
I cut you all in a lie
Wandering alone outside
Wandering alone outside
A world I don't have to die
What's it like to be on the downhill side?I'm still on
the other side,
And I'm finding it so hard that
I just stopped trying.
I'm so ordinary when you look at me,
Nothing really or very bad has ever happened to me.
And it feels like nothing matters anymore.
As I open up this door,
I am on the outside, looking in.
Hello, these are my would-be friends.
You all say 'you look fine to me,'
But I'm not what I seem to be.
Do not trust what you see.
It's getting close the three,
And I'm wasting time.
I must be out of my mind
To be waiting for the words to come and find me.
Has anybody seen my better side?
Or seen me from the inside,
Looking out on all I tried to leave behind?
When it feels like I don't matter anymore.
And I can't get through this door,
I'm still on the outside, looking in.
Hello, these are my would-be friends.
You all say 'you look fine to me,'
But I'm not what I seem to be. (verse x3)
I'm still on the outside (looking in)
I'm still on the outside (looking in)
I am on the outside (looking in)
the beauty of love is the courage it takes
the break the evolving chain
but the problem with life is you can? t do it twice
and you don? t understand why you came
you came from the hills of an old logging town
I remember the sound of the road
and the silence that speaks in a small town like this
its secrets in all of its homes
I remember the way that your body would lay
in my arms as we tried to forget
and the way your eyes stare up at the sky
even when were inside our home
said I would always be home
said I would always be home
said I would never lock you outside
outside
and I saw you walking today
you were standing alone outside
so I stared at your back as you stared
at the sky
was afraid that you might turn around
was afraid that you might see me
so I turned my face down to the ground
to hide
when you turned it was somebody else
when you turned it was somebody else
when you turned it was somebody else
outside, outside
it will always be somebody else
it will always be somebody else
it will always be somebody else
it will always be somebody else
it will always be somebody else
it will always be somebody else
it will always be somebody else
it will always be somebody else
