Vasai-Virar is a city in Maharashtra state in western India. As per 2011 census this is the fifth largest city in Maharashtra. It is located in Thane District, 50 km north of Mumbai. The city is located on the north bank of Vasai Creek, part of the estuary of the Ulhas River. The two government bodies in Vasai-Virar town are Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation (VVMC) and Grampanchayat.
Vasai-Virar is an agglomeration of several formerly separate towns. The area covered by the city roughly corresponds to the ancient city of Sopara.
Vasai-Virar has a tropical monsoon climate that borders on a tropical wet and dry climate. Overall climate is equable with high rainfall days and very few days of extreme temperatures. Vasai-Virar temperature varies from 22°C to 36°C. In winter temperature is between 12°C to 20°C while summer temperature ranges from 36°C to 41°C. Out of total rainfall, 80% rainfall is experienced during June to October. Average annual rainfall is 2000–2500 mm and humidity is 61-86 %, making it a humid-perhumid zone. The driest days are in winter while the wettest days are experienced in July.
Virat Kohli pronunciation (help·info) (born 5 November 1988 in Delhi) is an Indian international cricketer. He is a middle order batsman, who can also open the batting. He can also bowl right arm medium pace. Kohli was the captain of the victorious Indian team at the 2008 U/19 Cricket World Cup held in Malaysia. He represents Delhi in first-class cricket and plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. He also played for the West Delhi Cricket Academy. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut in 2008 and was part of the Indian team which won the 2011 World Cup. Despite being a regular in the ODI side, he only played his first Test in 2011.

He is currently holding the office of Member of Legislative Assembly for the constituency of Nala Sopara in the state of Maharashtra, India. He is the son of Shri. Hitendra Thakur, the ex-M.L.A. of the region for four consecutive terms. He belongs to the Bahujan Vikas Aghadi party which has a strong base in the region of Vasai and Virar in Thane district of Maharashtra. He recently got married on 30th January, 2012 in Virar.
Kshitij Thakur's involvement with the people of Vasai-Virar region began right from his childhood as his father, Shri. Hitendra Thakur was the M.L.A. of the region for four consecutive terms, the first as a candidate of the Indian National Congress and the next three as an independent candidate.
In the 2009 Maharashtra state assembly elections, Hitendra Thakur stepped down voluntarily to make way for his son to enter Indian politics. After delimitation, the Vasai constituency was divided into Vasai and Nalasopara. In his very first election Kshitij Thakur won with a margin of more than 40,000 votes. He got 89,284 votes, while his opposition Shiv Sena candidate Shirish Chavan could manage only 48,502 votes. MNS aspirant Vivek Keluskar got 20,749 votes.
Ritesh Deshmukh (born 17 December 1978, in Mumbai, Maharashtra) is an Indian actor and architect who appears in Bollywood films. He is the son of Vilasrao Deshmukh, the Union Minister for Science, Technology and Earth Sciences, Government of India, and the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
Deshmukh debuted with K. Vijaya Bhaskar's Tujhe Meri Kasam (2003) with his later to be wife Genelia D'Souza, but it was not until 2004 that he achieved success, when he appeared in the commercially successful comedy, Masti and the critically acclaimed Bardaasht. His work in Masti was nominated for several awards, including the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor category. He later starred in successful films such as Heyy Babyy, Dhamaal, House Full. Double Dhamaal, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya and Housefull 2.

He gained to fame after his performance in Masti, the movie Masti made him win 2 awards, and then made friendly appearances in films such as Bardaasht and Naach. His first lead role to succeed him was his rebel character in the sex-comedy Kyaa Kool Hai Hum with Tusshar Kapoor. The film was panned by critics, though loved by public, and was a moderate success at the box office.
