Mishra or Misra (Hindi: "मिश्र" "मिश्रा") is a Hindu Brahmin surname found mostly in the northern and central parts of India. It is one of the most widespread Brahmin surnames in the fertile Gangetic plain region and in the Indian states of Delhi, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Orissa, Assam and West Bengal. It is also found in countries such as Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago under the anglicized version of Misir, due to migration owing to agricultural/plantation employment. The surname is also found in Nepal, Fiji and Mauritius, as well as in other Indian diaspora communities.
In Hinduism, Brahmin refers to the class of educators and preachers. It is the highest class in the caste system. There are many references in the Ramayana and Mahabharata about the importance of a Brahmin. In the Vedic period, the Brahmins preferred isolation and solely dedicated their life to propagating knowledge and Dharma. However Misras have historically been martial Brahmins and in earlier years, many were drafted into the army.

Yo see, it's rare that you find people like us
'Cause ya'll the other look out there doin' what I'm doin'
Or tryin' to do what I'm doin' but you can't
'Cause I do what I do my way
What about you? Huh, huh? come on
I do
Any and everything you want to
Make your girl say, ooh, ooh
Why's he so fly
She beeps me
Whenever she wanna get freaky
You can get mad if you want too
Do whatever you want but she still gon' give it up
She likes it
My way, my way, my way
You can't satisfy her needs
She keeps runnin' back to see me do it
My way, my way
What I say goes and I'm in control
Don't check me, check me
It was your girl who let me, let me
Take it this far then, ooh wee, ooh we
She had to have every chance that she could get
But you think you a baller
And I ain't gon' call her
Clip that, you can get mad if you want to
Say whatever you want but she still gon' give it up
'Cause she likes it
My way, ooh my way
You can't satisfy her needs
She keeps runnin' back to see me do it
My way, my way
What I say goes and I'm in control
I'm standing here
Where you ought to be
Got you mad at me 'cause I got your lady
You ain't got to worry, I ain't trying to romance
All I wanna do is make her dance with me
My way, oh my way, my way
You can't satisfy her needs
She keeps runnin' back to see me do it
My way, my way
What I say goes and I'm in control
My way, my way
You can't satisfy her needs
She keeps runnin' back to see me do it
My way, my way
And what I say goes and I'm in control
My way, my way
You can't satisfy her needs
She keeps runnin' back to see me do it
My way, my way

NEVER THOUGHT I'D HEAR
AND WHEN WE TOUCH MY FEARS JUST MELT AWAY SO I'LL PUT
MY TRUST IN THE TWO OF US
CAUSE YOUR LOVE MAKES ME FEEL THAT WAY
IT'S SO NATURAL TO TO BE WANTING TO HOLD YOU BABY ALL
THROUGH THE NIGHT
CAUSE WHEN WE'RE TOGETHER OUR BODIES JUST SWAY IN TIME
MY MY MY
THE WAY I FEEL FOR YOU BABY WILL NEVER DISAPPEAR
YOU'RE MY DARLING LOVE YOU'RE THE ONE I LOVE YOU'RE MY
DEAR
REPEAT CHORUS
YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU BABE OOH I REALLY NEED YOU
BABE
YOU'RE MY MY CHERIE AMOR OH, OH, OH, OH YOU KNOW HOW
MUCH I LOVE YOU BABE YOU'RE MY MY MY MY...
REPEAT CHORUS
IT'S SO NATURAL TO TO BE WANTING TO HOLD YOU BABY ALL
THROUGH THE NIGHT
CAUSE WHEN WE'RE TOGETHER OUR BODIES JUST SWAY IN TIME
MY MY MY
THE WAY I FEEL FOR YOU BABY WILL NEVER DISAPPEAR
YOU'RE MY DARLING LOVE YOU'RE THE ONE I LOVE
YOU'RE MY DEAR
It seems like only yesterday
I'd meet her in that small cafe
And dance with my Cherie
We'd kiss by flickering candlelight
I'd whisper as I held her tight
I love you, sweet Cherie
But now she's just a memory
A million miles away from me
Alone in old Paree
But if I live forever
I'll always be in love
In love with my Cherie
It seems like only yesterday
I'd meet her in that small cafe
And dance with my Cherie
We'd kiss by flickering candlelight
I'd whisper as I held her tight
I love you, sweet Cherie
But now she's just a memory
A million miles away from me
Alone in old Paree
But if I live forever
I'll always be in love
I'd rather have nothing pale, white and sweet
Modest but something crawled up asleep
And ever so slightly down town, give us a call
Right down truth or nothing at all
So give me the silence and right when it falls
There is something I don't recall
I'd rather have nothing, simple and small
Honest but something that learned how to crawl
And ever so slightly, light brown, cough up a wall
Right down truth or nothing at all
I live with this silence from winter 'till fall
There is something I don't recall
A thousand of miles out in the cold
If this ain't the way then I wasn't told
So give me the silence and right when it falls
Feel like a knife that could slip any moment
Feel like a gun that could blast you from nowhere
Beg me and make me be a drop in my ocean
I'd run to you if I thought you could care
If I...
I've got a gun, swear I will use it
I've got a voice in the back of my mind
Love doesn't heed from the moment that you lose it
I never said I could not be unkind
Like a drug you make me crave, drowning underneath the waves
I would give my life away for someone like you
You know it is no mystery, all the fear you bring to me
If I had the eyes to see, would I be with you?
Feel like a fool played in a million movies
I felt your touch and I knew you were there
God he was cruel cause he poisoned this beauty
Sometimes I feel like he just took my care
Feel like a knife that could cut any moment
Feel like a gun that could blast you from nowhere
Beg me and make me be a drop in my ocean
I'd run to you if I knew you were there
Like a drug you make me crave, drowning underneath the waves
I would give my life away for someone like you
You know it is no mystery, all the fear you bring to me
If I had the eyes to see, would I be with you?
Would I be with you?
Would I be with you?
Most of the brine has got to boil away
Most of the air has got to choke you
Most of June I spent in jail again
I don't mean jail, exactly
Up in the pine tree
Red squirrel looking down at me
I am losing control of the language again
I am losing control of the language again
Most of the things I used to hold onto
Most of the things I used to say to you
Most of the ways I knew around the local roads
Are disappearing daily
High in the cottonwood
You were looking down at me and it sure looked good
Hair hanging down in the leaves
Your neck tilted back to make a rainbow
I was losing control of the language again
