Breakfast (literally meaning "breaking the fast" of the night) is the first meal taken after rising from a night's sleep, most often eaten in the early morning before undertaking the day's work. Among English speakers, "breakfast" can be used to refer to this meal, or, less commonly, to refer to a meal composed of traditional breakfast foods (eggs, oatmeal, sausages, etc.) served at any time of day.
Breakfast foods vary widely from place to place, but often include a carbohydrate such as grains or cereals, fruit and/or vegetable, a protein food such as eggs, meat or fish, and a beverage such as tea, coffee or fruit juice. Coffee, tea, juice, breakfast cereals, pancakes, sausages, bacon, sweet breads, fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs, mushrooms, black pudding, baked beans, muffins, crumpets and toast with butter or margarine and/or jam or marmalade are common examples of breakfast foods, though a large range of preparations and ingredients are associated with breakfast globally.
Nutritional experts have referred to breakfast as the most important meal of the day, citing studies that find that people who skip breakfast are disproportionately likely to have problems with concentration, metabolism, and weight.
Christopher Julius "Chris" Rock III (born February 7, 1965) is an American comedian, actor, screenwriter, television producer, film producer, and director.
After working as a standup comic and appearing in small film roles, Rock came to wider prominence as as a cast member of Saturday Night Live in the early 1990s. He went on to more prominent film roles, and a series of acclaimed comedy specials for HBO.
He was voted in the US as the 5th greatest stand-up comedian of all time by Comedy Central. He was also voted in the UK as the 9th greatest stand-up comic on Channel 4's 100 Greatest Stand-Ups in 2007, and again in the updated 2010 list as the 8th greatest stand-up comic.
Rock was born in Andrews, South Carolina. Shortly after his birth, his parents moved to Crown Heights, Brooklyn, New York. A few years later, they relocated and settled in the working-class area of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. His mother, Rosalie (née Tingman), was a teacher and social worker for the mentally handicapped; his father, Julius Rock, was a former truck driver and newspaper deliveryman. Julius died in 1988 after ulcer surgery. His younger brothers Tony, Kenny and Jordan are also in the entertainment business. His older half-brother, Charles, died in 2006 after a long struggle with alcoholism. Rock has said that he was influenced by the performing style of his paternal grandfather, Allen Rock, a preacher.
Bernard Humphrey Hopkins Jr, known as The Executioner (born January 15, 1965, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American boxer and former Ring Magazine and WBC light heavyweight champion. He became the oldest boxer to ever win a world title, when at age 46, he defeated Jean Pascal on May 21, 2011 by a unanimous decision, surpassing the record previously held by George Foreman.
Hopkins is also the former undisputed world middleweight champion, and the first fighter to retain all 4 world titles of each major boxing sanctioning body, plus The Ring belt, in the same fight. Having defended a world middleweight title a record 20 times, he is considered one of the greatest middleweight champions of all time. The Ring ranked him #3 on their list of the "10 best middleweight title holders of the last 50 years."
In addition to being an active boxer, Hopkins is also a minority partner with Golden Boy Promotions.
Born to Bernard Hopkins, Sr. and his wife Sue, Bernard grew up in the Raymond Rosen projects with his family. Hopkins turned to crime early in his life. By the age of thirteen he was mugging people and had been stabbed three times. At seventeen, Hopkins was sentenced to 18 years in Graterford Prison for nine felonies. While in prison he witnessed rapes and the murder of another inmate in an argument over a pack of cigarettes, but also discovered his passion for boxing. After serving almost five years, Hopkins was released from prison in 1988. He then decided to use boxing as an escape from his previous life, and converted to Islam. While leaving the prison for the final time, the warden told Hopkins he'd "see [Hopkins] again when you wind up back here," to which Hopkins replied "I ain't ever coming back here."
William Leonard Roberts II (born January 28, 1976), better known by his stage name Rick Ross (often stylized as RICK RO$$), is an American rapper. He derived his stage name from the drug trafficker "Freeway" Ricky Ross, to whom he has no connection. Ross founded the record label Maybach Music Group, on which he released his studio albums Deeper Than Rap and Teflon Don, Ross was also the first artist signed to Diddy's management company Ciroc Entertainment. In early 2012, MTV named Ross as the Hottest MC In The Game.
William Leonard Roberts II was born in Coahoma County, Mississippi. and raised in Carol City, Florida, near Miami. After graduating from Carol City Senior High School, he later attended the historically black college Albany State University on a football scholarship.
After being signed to Suave House Records, former label for rap duo 8Ball & MJG, he eventually signed a deal with Slip-n-Slide Records, which has been under the Def Jam umbrella since 2006. While signed to Slip-n-Slide, Ross toured with fellow rapper Trick Daddy and made guest performances on other Slip-n-Slide albums.
The Lox are an American hip hop group composed of Jadakiss, Sheek Louch, and Styles P. They were originally signed to Sean Combs' Bad Boy Records before joining Ruff Ryders Entertainment, and are now a part of their own label, D-Block Records
Jason "Jadakiss" Phillips, David Styles "Styles P", and Sean "Sheek Louch" Jacobs, began their musical careers in their hometown of Yonkers, New York. As high school students they formed a group called "The Bomb Squad" and began performing at local shows and producing their own demos. In 1994 they appeared on Main Source's "Set It Off" from the album "Fuck What You Think". While the local rap scene was being dominated by artists like Raw Rome, Lord Devon and a young DMX, the group began to gain attention for their lyrical style and ability to present tales of urban life. The group eventually changed their name to "The Warlocks" and continued developing a fan base by appearing on underground mix tapes. One of their admirers was the "Queen of Hip hop soul," fellow Yonkers native Mary J. Blige. Mary passed their demo tape on to Bad Boy CEO Sean "Puffy" Combs who signed them to a deal. At the behest of Combs, The Warlocks would later change their name to "The L.O.X" which stands for Living Off eXperience.
It Was Supposed To Be A Weekend Get-Away Until The Horror Began!
Brian: Breakfast, come with me!
Rock: You're so fine, I could kiss your daddy's ass.
Breakfast: I'm running back to Baltimore! [starts running]
Hold the milk, put back the sugar
They are powerless to console
We've gathered here to sprinkle ashes
From our late friend's cereal bowl
Breakfast Clubbers, say the motto
That he taught us to repeat
You will lose it in your gym class
If you wait 'til noon to eat
Back when the Chess Club
Said our eggs were soft
Every Monday he'd say grace
And hold our juice aloft
Oh, none of us knew
His checkout time would come so soon
But before his brain stopped waving
He composed this tune
When the toast is burned
And all the milk has turned
And Captain Crunch is waving farewell
When the big one finds you
May this song remind you
That they don't serve breakfast in Hell
Breakfast Clubbers, drop the hankies
Though to some our friend was odd
That day he bought those pine pajamas
His check was good with God
Those here without the Lord
How do you cope?
For this morning we don't mourn
Like those who have no hope
Oh, rise up, Fruit Loop lovers
Sing out sweet and low
With spoons held high
We bid our brother, Cheerio
When the toast is burned
And all the milk has turned
And Captain Crunch is waving farewell
When the big one finds you
May this song remind you
That they don't serve breakfast in Hell
When the toast is burned
And all the milk has turned
And Captain Crunch is waving farewell
When the big one finds you
May this song remind you
That they don't serve breakfast in Hell
When the toast is burned
And all the milk has turned
And Captain Crunch is waving farewell
When the big one finds you
May this song remind you
That they don't serve breakfast in Hell
When the toast is burned
And all the milk has turned
And Captain Crunch is waving farewell
When the big one finds you
May this song remind you

Well here I am
In a roadside stew
You're checking to see if I'm alright
I'm looking up at you
Well I'm o.k.
I've been here before
You know I have an ass to land on and that's what it's for
I'm gonna dust me off
Get on my feet
Get myself together
Get me good to eat
Well what a night
I don't remember much
Not to worry my friend
I'm better off as such
Well what a day and what's for breakfast?
Have to see what comes along
What a day and what's for breakfast?
Nothing ventured nothing wrong
Well what a day and what's for breakfast?
Have to see what comes along
What a day and what's for breakfast?
I woke up between dawn and night
Thought I heard the voice of Mommy
Sounds as if my parents have a fight
So I woke up my brother lying next to me
I wonder why she's making all that noise
Better go and check it out
So without trying to breathe only the sound of little feet
We were about to discover what that noise was all about
And as we opened up the door
We saw them lying on the kitchen floor
We were grateful for they both did their best
But we said 'Hey, there must be an easier way to make breakfast'
They both got up real fast
As if they were caught (or something)
And then we understood at last
It was a surprise breakfast they were planning
Mommy stumbled, 'Later, kids, you'll understand'
While Daddy was busy putting on his pants
We said 'We already do, don't worry, we'll do the rest'
So far for our quest, we made coffee, boiled eggs
As the sun fills the sky
And tomorrow turns into today
You are dreaming the morning away
Are you dreaming of me?
Think of the night
All the time for our love is so right
I want so much for you to be mine
And the world will be ours
As the sun fills the sky
I will order a breakfast for two
But my hunger in only for you
Let me love you again
Let's take some time
There'll be nothing to take us outside
And there's nothing but you on my mind
Only you in my heart
I don't believe
There's a reason to go anywhere
Why should I leave
All I need is right here, here with you
As the sun fills the sky
We're just letting our breakfast get cold
But we must let the story be told
If it takes the whole day
It's paradise
I can see all my dreams in your eyes
And tomorrow we'll watch the sunrise
And have breakfast again
It's paradise
I can see all my dreams in your eyes
And tomorrow we'll watch the sunrise
And have breakfast again
She gave herself
They took her to their hearts
Clapped their hands till sore
Once more eyes smart
Taxidermist gave life to Hugh
It sits and begs
And stares at you
Since when did you cook breakfast for
Lieutenant Paul in ruined mirador
This lease on life can tie you down
So precious is the jagged crown
Talk to me I'll stay these vagabond nights
Walk with me someone is waiting in light
Exchanging worlds arranging days
To suit a lover
Who'll never stay
Breakfast skies
Bring curtains down
Upon a crumbling lacquered gown
A crumbling lacquered gown
Ooh talk to me I'll stay these vagabond nights
Cold September morn, I was reborn
The sundays crashed through my front door
From my soul, I'm growing old
I couldn't ask for anymore
I ask you If I could wish upon your kisses
Cold November night, no end in sight
The letters file behind the door
Find my soul, I'm growing old
I couldn't ask for anymore
Sometimes you could be the words
She'd be the tune
And Sometimes I can't help falling down
Sometimes I can't help falling down
Sometimes I can't help falling down
Sometimes I can't help falling down
Cold September morn, I was reborn
The sundays crashed through my front door
Found my soul, I'm growing old
I couldn't ask for anymore
I ask you If I could fly upon your silence
Sometimes I can't help falling down
And sometimes I can't help falling down
And sometimes I can't help falling down
And sometimes I can't help falling down
If I could fly upon your silence
Sometimes I can't help falling down
And sometimes I can't help falling down
And sometimes I can't help falling down
Breakfast at the end of the day

If you like it
I might drop by
All the flowers you gave me
Were stored away with your memory
You stand so well
All by yourself
I'm beaten and fancy
I've become
If you knew me well
You could tell
I could care
I could walk through here
With a fear
Of the extreme
All love songs are sad
We all relate
So I think I'll fool myself
Again
He's got history and a nice face
He knows how to love me
And he could take his place
The more I come around here
The shorter it seems to take
But I wanna fall in love
But I wanna fall in love
With you
You could call me five times a day
You could say I'm the only one
And I could make you breakfast
Every day
Every day
Every day
If you like it
I might drop by
I just wanted you
Tonight
Wanted you tonight
I don't want to think you're alone
You just keep me going on
YOu keep me going on
It's just another day
I was at the club
You were standing and your eyes were empty
That was the first time you came into my heart
I tried to forget you
Your memory won't leave me
I feel you always somewhere inside of me
I can't get you out of my mind
I know I'm in love
I'll make you smile
I don't wanna see you cry
Let me feel your arms around me
I don't want to think you're alone
You just keep me going on
YOu keep me going on
You can trust me girl
I promise I love you
I am missing you
I've never feel this way
I won't let you go so don't go anywhere
Here I am for you
As long as you think you wanna be with me
I'll make you smile
I don't wanna see you cry
Let me feel your arms around me
I don't want to think you're alone
You just keep me going on
I'll make you smile
I don't wanna see you cry
Let me feel your arms around me
I don't want to think you're alone
You just keep me going on
(You just keep me going on)
I know what you're angry about
Cuz that was I used to be
That's how I used to be
you made me forget myself
I know what you're angry about
Cuz that was I used to be
That's how I used to be(x 3)
Colored people on colored sets
Masochism at it's best
Towing the line, towing the line back down
Good morn' I woke up to an angel in my arms
Jumped out my bed, saw the first thing that I'm gonna do
My love, I'm gonna take a breakfast
Clothes are everywhere
Walk into the kitchen just to see what I got there
And whatever that I'm fixing,
I'm gonna bring it to be baby, uh oh, whoa
Cause you deserve it, whoa,
[Chorus]
First out of bed in the morning
Your smile alone gets me going
Summer breeze that runs right through me lets me know
That you could be the one
That I can wake up for breakfast
Oh, so warm, I sleep with nothing but my t shirt on
And I have to say, that fits better on you
Oh my love, I just can't stop watching you, oh, oh,
So I'ma speak out my head,
Cause in me you're like perfection
I can't help but stop and stare
And there ain't no second guessing that I want this thing forever
Oh baby, every moment I can wake you up for breakfast
[Chorus]
First out of bed in the morning
Your smile alone gets me going
Summer breeze that runs right through me lets me know
That you could be the one
That I can wake up for breakfast
Whoa, waking up to breakfast
Baby there's no better way
I wanna eat you up for breakfast
I'm gonna eat you up for breakfast
I can't help but watch it
How I love your shade
I be loving you all morning
Just start out my perfect day
Don't play with that.
Put that away don't play with that. It's not a toy.
Don't act like that.
What kind of way to act is that little boy?
Ooh, and I don't believe I heard you right.
Where did you learn a word like that, you little brat?
Half gram for crotch
Fair trade for what your mama's got, she did the math.
We're here to watch
Watch and make sure the whore next door gets a bath.
Oh, won't you ease up from the knees up girl.
Get squeaky-clean got lots of time
Cause it's my dime
Yeah baby, I'm next in line.
It's another empty day.
You missed breakfast again
Cause Ma don't cook when she ain't breathing
And God won't bring you no food.
He don't believe in you, not like I do, so I'm begging.
Don't play with that.
Put that away, you gonna get us killed.
Ah boy, don't play with that.
It's a repulsive situation, you want to change your habitat
But not like that.
Ah, self indulgence is your mommy
So self employment is your pop
He got on top
Made his drop
And couldn't stop
Consequently, you're here today
And I'll make you breakfast steak and eggs
Yeah, getting high's in my regiment
I said clear they have a speech impediment
I'm with a very posh girl that's elegant
How do you dumb it down when you highly intelligent
I'm finna based the flow, give 'em a rare move
Ground humble but fly and I'm eatin' air food
Nigerian American, moments I'm cherishing
Hear that weak shit and there's no comparison
But could I ever be next to meet NaS
Haters is spying on me, I don't fuck with espionage
Life's a bitch, she could be ugly as sexy Minaj
The Recipe's odds and most never would less of be Oz, yeah
Uh, I'm feeling flyer than I've ever been
Flyer than 'em cause we flying where they've never been
Yeah, still feeling incredible
I got that good health, smoking on medical
Look at what you made us do
Early morning shit, this what you wake up to
Uh, they can't fade us too
Matter fact, look at what you made us do
Yeah, look at what you made us do
Early morning shit, this what you wake up to
Uh, they can't fade us too
Matter fact, look at what you made us do
Lets have breakfast!
Yeah, yeah, it's time to have breakfast!
Uh, and I'mma do the same
'Bout to tell 'em have breakfast
So get your plate, get your fork, get your spoon
Yeah, it's time to have breakfast
Yeah, and it's reckless!
Hey yo the flow is OK
And I'm serving up breakfast, you know it goes with OJ
I don't care about haters I'm what your hoes finna play
And my train of thought's making me tell a soul sister "hey"
Yeah, she's on another level, and I am impressed
But she might just be a devil in a new dress
I got 'em hatin', waitin' what I'mma do next
Chicks let me slam 'em like wrestlers I can suplex
Too fake, but really I say I'm too fresh
I don't need the sweater but I bet she give my crew neck
Yeah, uh, I'm just swellin' on 'em
I don't hear 'em yeah I'm bout to go Hellen on 'em
Get the BasedGod, call Ellen on 'em
We give it to 'em for cheaper, we wholesellin' on 'em
I hit the chick and then I probably won't care after
They think they steppin' up, they are on the StairMaster
[Hook]
Look at what you made us do
Early morning shit, this what you wake up to
Uh, they can't fade us too
Matter fact, look at what you made us do
Yeah, look at what you made us do
Early morning shit, this what you wake up to
Uh, they can't fade us too
Matter fact, look at what you made us do
Lets have breakfast!
Yeah, yeah, it's time to have breakfast!
Uh, and I'mma do the same
'Bout to tell 'em have breakfast
So get your plate, get your fork, get your spoon
Yeah, it's time to have breakfast
In the morning you rise, night is still in your eyes
Moving warm with content, the memory of your body's scent
I watch your striptease in reverse, dip my head in your purse
Smiling softly you say, that I could not get much worse.
Then scream of the kettle making steam
Reminding you and me, we need a cup of tea
Intimate breakfast scene, with sausage, egg and beans
Weetabix and jam and lightly grilled brown ham.
Talking gently and low, I ask you why you must go
Having asked it I know, instead of yes you'll answer no.
Oh no, I've got to go back home
My child is all alone, don't ring me on the phone
My husband will be there, it really isn't fair
He still belives in trust, I've got to catch my bus.
Looking through the window pane, watch her leaving me again
Wondering what's in her head, I slowly sink back to bed.
I'm coming back to where I started
I never meant to be the bad kid
The feeling came in uninvited
Where is everybody hiding?
Come back and turn the lights on
Throw everything around your bedroom
Something's just take you right back
You forget you've gotta go soon
Cristina's so good she makes me go across town
She makes me to lie down
There's nothing in the way now
I'm coming back to where I started
I never meant to be the bad kid
The feeling came in uninvited
You wanna see if I can fight it
Cristina's so good
She makes me go across town
She makes me to lie down
There's nothing in the way now
Lie down and let the music play
Nothing in the way now
Lie down and let the music play
Standing in the sidelines
Conversation in the half-light
You remember you're downtown
You really should be on your way now
Come back and turn the lights on
Throw everything around your bedroom
Some thing's just take you right back
You forget you've gotta go soon
Cristina's so good
She makes me go across town
She makes me to lie down
There's nothing in the way now
Lie down and let the music play
Nothing in the way now
Nothing in the way now
Nothing in the way now
Nothing in the way now
