Mick Foley: Hi. I'm Mick Foley. I'd like to thank you for joining me as I look back at some of my favorite career moments. Not just in WWE, but elsewhere, as well. Uh, Smoky Mountain Wrestling, uh... ECW, WCW. Uh, the fact that you have this and are currently looking at it means that you are officially a huge wrestling fan, which also means you're probably not currently dating very much. But, uh... but I'd like to thank you for making those kind of romantic sacrifices in order to join me, and I hope you won't be disappointed.

Mick Foley: The first match we're gonna look at was with a monster by the name of Vader. Some of you may be familiar with him from his WWE days. But if that's the only way you're familiar with him, I think you're kind of missing out, because at one time, he certainly was the greatest of the... the monster heels. He was a tremendous bad guy. So... so tremendous, in fact, that when some opponents saw their name on the board, uh, to face him, they just simply quit the business. And... and that's the truth. I really liked hooking up with him, though. I looked at it as kind of my Ali versus uh... versus Fraizer, at the time. And this match, in particular, is viewed by some, or is looked at by some as the most blatantly brutal of my entire career. And I believe that's saying something.

Mick Foley: When I found myself teaming with Maxx Payne against the Nasty Boys in the following Chicago Street Fight, I found myself in a strange place, because it was the first time that I felt totally unprepared for a battle of this proportion. I really did not want to be there. I had actually made plans to have my ear, uh... fixed. To have a new ear attached to my head, which for you, uh... top wrestling fans out there know, actually never happened. Uh... and this match may be the reason why, because it turned out better than I could have hoped. Uh, the Nasty Boys had a reputation for being a little sloppy, a little bit dangerous, but there was no doubt about it, they could brawl. And it was about the time when I had a pool cue, uh, cracked over my head that I realized if I didn't start fighting back, uh... I might not leave Chicago.

[commentating the Cactus Jack/Maxx Payne vs Nasty Boys street fight]::Tony Schiavone: The only thing I can say, Brain, is if they come over here, it's all yours.::Bobby Heenan: Let's put it this way: if they come over here, don't yell at me to get out of here, 'cause you'll be talking to yourself.

Mick Foley: Our next opponent, the Sandman, is a guy I had some really, really great matches with. However, the match you're about to see is not one of them. It's interesting, this is a compilation of matches, uh... some of which were picked out for me, and some of which I... I picked myself. And, uh, in some cases, I'm not really aware of the matches. Uh... this one, I remember as being like a train wreck. Uh, it wasn't necessarily fun to watch, but you kind of had to sit there and stare at it. Uh, it's important for a couple reasons. One, I get spiked on my head and hurt my neck pretty badly. I... in an injury that would, uh, hurt me and nag at me for several months. And it's also unique in that the Sandman was knocked out. He was out on his feet for most of this match, and it was a case of when it rains, it pours. It was a Texas Death Match where to win the match, you have to get your opponent down for a ten count. And the Sandman was so out of it, that he simply would not stay down. Look close, and see if you can see my frustration.

Mick Foley: It was a November to Remember, following what we sometimes called an October to Forget. Uh... actually, it was unforgettable. It was, uh... it was a build up like no other, in that things got a little out of hand, and uh, Terry Funk was accidentally engulfed in flames. Uh... and it was... it was a really... it was a really sad sight, a really... almost a tragic sight, in that, uh, I broke character, uh, immediately. The Funker and I were feuding with each other, and I saw him on fire and I ran out, uh, attempting to put him out, and never quite caught up with him. And, thankfully, what had looked to be his body engulfed in flames was actually a towel that had flown off of my fire chair. Not a real smart decision to begin with, and so Terry got out of it with only third-degree burns on a portion of his body. But, uh, it was a... it was a tough time for me. It was a time where I actually considered quitting the business because I was so upset. I got to the back, and the Funker was throwing, uh, furniture, uh... in my general direction. And, uh, and... and really, uh, giving me a verbal beating, which I probably deserved. What I didn't know, as I drove, uh, from Philadelphia to Long Island swearing I'd never wrestle in this country again, is that Terry Funk came back from the hospital and cut promotional interviews for the November match. And, uh, then, uh... when I offered a great apology on his answering machine, uh... he left a message on mine that really touched me, and uh, and... and made me feel a whole lot better about the situation.

Mick Foley: [about Hell in a Cell with the Undertaker] In fifteen years of wrestling, that match represents the only time I'd been knocked out. Uh, it's not the first throw off the cage that did it, it was the one through the cage that hurt me, uh, to a far greater degree. Uh... the cage, uh, ripping and giving way was, uh, a complete surprise to both of us. And it did a lot of damage. Not only the fall, but a chair that was up on top of that ring followed me down every foot of the way and smashed into my mouth, uh, causing quite a deal of damage to my already damaged teeth. Uh... the scariest moment of the entire match for me was not either fall, however. It was a moment, uh, shortly after the second one where I'd regained my bearings, after several wrestlers, including Terry Funk, had entered into the ring to, uh, attempt to buy me time. Uh, the first thing I remember was seeing a pair of sneakers in the ring and wondering what they were doing there. As it turned out, while I was lying there unconscious, Terry Funk had taken a chokeslam in an attempt to buy me time. And when I finally did regain my bearings, uh, there was a moment where the Undertaker punches me and I did not so much fall as crumble. And it represented to me probably the scariest moment of my career, because the lights were on, just barely, but there was nobody home.

Will these custom darts not only fly straight at supersonic speeds, be accurate, AND pierce the 1/4" steel plate? It is always fun to see what will work and what won't. Schrade Phantom Large Axe - first test: Well, this one needs some improvement... about 5 min of chopping wood and already the nylon filled glass fiber shaft broke, right below the steel tang of the axe head. I would suggest a significantly longer tang, ideally through the entire length of the shaft. It's a nice looking axe which could potentially be quite good with some modifications and especially better material. I would also like to see the 3Cr13 steel that the axe head is made of being replaced by something better, like 1055 carbon steel for instance. Tesla Model S - Crash Test

The passenger compartment remained stable in the frontal impact. Readings from the passenger dummy indicated good protection of all body areas except the head. Analysis of the dummy kinematics showed that the airbag on the passenger side had 'bottomed out' i.e. there was insufficient inflation to prevent the head flattening the airbag and coming into contact with the facia, through the airbag material. Tesla investigated the issue and found an error in the airbag calibration software supplied by the vendor. Euro NCAP has been informed that this error has been corrected in all vehicles supplied to customers. Although the calculated injury parameters were not hazardous, protection of the passenger head was penalised and rated as adequate. Dummy readings indicated good protection of the knees and femurs of the driver and passenger. Tesla showed that a similar level of protection would be provided to occupants of different sizes and to those sat in different seating positions. In the side barrier test, the Model S scored maximum points with good protection of all body regions. In the more severe side pole test, dummy measurements of rib compressions indicated marginal protection of the chest. Protection against whiplash injury in the event of a rear-end collision was rated as good for the front and rear seats. The Model S scored maximum points for its protection of the child dummies in the dynamic tests. Both dummies were seated in rearward-facing restraints and showed good protection in the frontal impact. In the side impact, both dummies were properly contained within the protective shells of their restraints, minimising the risk of head contact with parts of the vehicle interior. The front passenger airbag can be disabled through the user menu, allowing a rearward-facing restraint to be used in that seating position. However, the interface is not clear in all languages about the actions being taken to set the airbag status and the system was not rewarded. All of the restraints for which the car is designed could be properly installed and accommodated with the exception of the Group I universal restraint in the rear outboard seats. While the seat could be installed, the seat cushioning made engagement of the ISOFIX probes difficult. Integral child restraints are available as an optional third row in the Model S. The Tesla is equipped with an 'active' bonnet. When the system detects that a pedestrian has been struck, actuators lift the bonnet to provide greater clearance to hard structures underneath. Tesla showed that the system detects all statures robustly over a range of speeds and the car was tested with the bonnet in the deployed position. Protection was adequate or marginal over most of the surface of the bonnet with poor results recorded only at the base of the windscreen and on the stiff screen pillars. The bumper offered predominantly good protection to pedestrians' legs while the front edge of the bonnet gave good results towards the centre of the car but poor results at the outside edges. Electronic stability control is standard equipment on the Model S. A seatbelt reminder is standard for the front and rear seats, as is a lane departure warning system that met Euro NCAP's requirements. The Model S has a speed assistance system that can recognise the local speed limit and issue a warning to the driver when that limit is exceeded. Selten ist es mir so schwer gefallen, ein Spiel zu bewerten. Und das nicht, weil ich ein großer Dark-Souls-Fan bin - Lords of the Fallen betrachtet man am besten unabhängig davon. Nein, ich bin schlicht hin- und hergerissen. Einerseits liebe ich das Setting, die düstere Atmosphäre, die tollen Effekte und das grandiose Kampfsystem. Und deshalb will ich Harkyns Abenteuer wirklich gut finden. Aber es fehlen mir einfach essenzielle Dinge, die ich bei einem Action-Rollenspiel erwarte: Wenn ich schon einen Kriminellen spiele, dann will ich eine packende Geschichte, und trotz des tollen Kampfsystem leidet die Action sehr unter der schiefen Balance. So fehlt mir schlicht die Motivation, mich zum »New Game Plus« durchzukämpfen, nur um die Stärken des Spiels wirklich genießen zu können. Hoffentlich wird Deck 13 zumindest die Magie-Schulen mit ein paar Patches ausbessern oder sogar neue Inhalte veröffentlichen, die Glatzkopf Harkyn ein bisschen mehr Kontur verleihen. Lords of the Fallen ist eines dieser Spiele, bei denen ich gerne für einen Kontrollbesuch vorbeischauen würde. NASA Previews Orion Spacecraft’s First Flight Test

During a NASA Television media briefing from the agency’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, NASA officials discussed the completed construction of the new Orion spacecraft and details of its first test flight, scheduled for Dec. 4. During the 4.5-hour flight, called Exploration Flight Test-1, Orion will travel farther than any crewed spacecraft has gone in more than 40 years, before returning to Earth at speeds near 20,000 mph and generating temperatures up to 4,000 degrees Fahrenheit.

A documentary about creating the ultimate test of fitness, the CrossFit Games. Nearly 12 years ago, CrossFit Founder and CEO Greg Glassman defined fitness. In 2007, the first test to find the fittest man and woman on Earth was born: the CrossFit Games. "It's as easy as this: if fitness can be defined and measured, then it can be tested, and we can, in turn, find the fittest," Glassman wrote in 2013 of the CrossFit Games, which started as a small competition between friends and grew into a global battle. Glassman's definition of fitness: work capacity across broad time and modal domains—something measurable, observable and repeatable. "We claim to title the Fittest on Earth, and we can do that because we as a fitness methodology have defined fitness," says Dave Castro, Director of the Games. He continues: "No one else is testing fitness, and at this point, no one can make a claim." "Anyone in the field of exercise would agree that the definition of fitness that Greg Glassman came up with is as complete as any that's ever been," says Matt Chan, a six-time Games competitor and member of CrossFit's Level 1 Seminar Staff. He adds: "Fitness is not just in the gym. Fitness is outside of the gym. It's life. Anytime you find yourself saying, 'Damn it, I can't do that,' you have a hole in your fitness."
