IIT Bombay students enrolled in PhD, Master's and Dual Degree programs organized a protest march from H-12-13-14 to OAT on February 18th (Wednesday) against the lack of any notification from MHRD regarding stipend hikes. This comes after DST and UGC have announced hikes in their fellowships in October and December. Around 90% percent of students at IIT Bombay are supported by MHRD. -

A stipend is a form of salary, such as for an internship or apprenticeship.
