Plot
Jasin and his vampire brood's time is running out. In order for them to survive, Jasin needs to find a mortal to turn into a vampire to spend eternity with. Los Angeles provides plenty of young candidates. The brood has their eyes set on Tara, a young, gorgeous blond college student. Tara is open to the idea of becoming a vampire, but someone else enters the picture to disrupt the brood's plans. Caleb, a fresh face college student new to Los Angeles, keeps dreaming of a mysterious stranger. At school, Caleb meets the stranger, Jasin, and they have an instant connection. The problem is that time is short, and Jasin needs to convince Caleb that eternity as a vampire can be a very sweet life.

Jasin: Your blood smells weak but I have not fed in a very long, long time, so I will sacrifice my own palette in order to satiate unnerving hunger building inside of me.
[Paul resents Caleb spending time with Jasin]::Caleb: You're jealous, aren't you?::Paul: Jealousy has noting to do with it.::Caleb: You're fulla shit.
Jasin: Did you take care of Paul?::Logan: [laughing] Would you expect anything less?::Adam: [laughing] It's amazing how some humans burn.::Jasin: I do not find that the least bit comical.
Adam: Let a vampire be in love.
Logan: I do not want to die because you can't figure out who you want to spend eternity with.

Plot
Inspector Lavardin is induced to investigate the murder of a province's notable who was taking himself as the moral guardian of his village. The perspective of the inquiry changes when the inspector recognizes the widow as one of his youthful loves.
