The trade winds (also called trades) are the prevailing pattern of easterly surface winds found in the tropics, within the lower portion of the Earth's atmosphere, in the lower section of the troposphere near the Earth's equator. The trade winds blow predominantly from the northeast in the Northern Hemisphere and from the southeast in the Southern Hemisphere, strengthening during the winter and when the Arctic oscillation is in its warm phase. Historically, the trade winds have been used by captains of sailing ships to cross the world's oceans for centuries, and enabled European empire expansion into the Americas and trade routes to become established across the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
In meteorology, the trade winds act as the steering flow for tropical storms that form over the Atlantic, Pacific, and southern Indian Oceans and make landfall in North America, Southeast Asia, and Madagascar and eastern Africa, respectively. Trade winds also steer African dust westward across the Atlantic ocean into the Caribbean sea, as well as portions of southeastern North America. Shallow cumulus clouds are seen within trade wind regimes, and are capped from becoming taller by a trade wind inversion, which is caused by descending air aloft from within the subtropical ridge. The weaker the trade winds become, the more rainfall can be expected within neighboring landmasses.
Roderick David "Rod" Stewart, CBE (born 10 January 1945) is a British singer-songwriter, born and raised in North London, England, and currently residing in Epping. He is of Scottish and English ancestry.
With his distinctive raspy singing voice, Stewart came to prominence in the late 1960s and early 1970s with The Jeff Beck Group and then Faces. He launched his solo career in 1969 with his debut album An Old Raincoat Won't Ever Let You Down (US: The Rod Stewart Album). His work with The Jeff Beck Group and Faces influenced heavy metal genres.
With his career in its fifth decade, Stewart has sold over 100 million records worldwide, making him one of the best selling artists of all time. In the UK, he has had six consecutive number one albums, and his tally of 62 hit singles include 31 that reached the top 10, six of which gained the number one position. He has had 16 top ten singles in the U.S, with four of these reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2008, Billboard magazine ranked him the 17th most successful artist on the "The Billboard Hot 100 Top All-Time Artists". He was voted at #33 in Q Magazine's list of the top 100 Greatest Singers of all time, and #59 on Rolling Stone 100 Greatest Singers of all time. As a solo artist, Stewart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994, and was inducted a second time, as a member of Faces, in April 2012.
Veronica "Randy" Crawford (born February 18, 1952, Macon, Georgia) is an American jazz and R&B singer. She has been more successful in Europe than in the United States, where she has not entered the Billboard Hot 100 as a solo artist. She has had multiple top five hits in the UK, including her 1980 #2 hit, "One Day I'll Fly Away".
Crawford first performed at club gigs from Cincinnati to Saint-Tropez, but made her name in mid 1970s in New York, where she sang with jazzmen George Benson and Cannonball Adderley. Adderley invited her to sing on his album, Big Man (1975). Crawford recorded "Don't Get Caught in Love's Triangle," produced by Johnny Bristol, during her short stint on the Fantasy label.
In 1978, Crawford performed on the second solo album of former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett. She sang vocals on "Hoping Love Will Last", the opening song on side two of Please Don't Touch.
She led R&B veterans The Crusaders on the transatlantic hit "Street Life" (1979). This song stayed atop the U.S. jazz chart for twenty weeks and has since become both a rare groove and disco classic.[citation needed] It was featured in the soundtrack for the film, Sharky's Machine, and appeared in commercials in the early 2000s. She moved to Warner Bros. and after "Street Life," recorded and toured Europe with the Crusaders. Crawford was named the 'Most Outstanding Performer' at the 1980 Tokyo Music Festival.
Roberta Flack (born February 10, 1937) is an American singer, songwriter, and musician who is notable for jazz, soul, R&B, and folk music. Roberta Flack is best known for her Hot 100 #1 singles "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", "Killing Me Softly with His Song" and "Feel Like Makin' Love", as well as "Where Is the Love" and "The Closer I Get to You", two of her many duets with Donny Hathaway. "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" won the 1973 Grammy Record of the Year and "Killing Me Softly with His Song" won the same award at the Grammy Awards of 1974. She and U2 are the only artists to win the award in consecutive years.
Roberta Flack was born in Black Mountain, North Carolina and was raised in Arlington, Virginia. She first discovered the work of African American musical artists when she heard Mahalia Jackson and Sam Cooke sing in a predominantly African-American Baptist church.
During her early teens, Flack so excelled at classical piano that Howard University awarded her a full music scholarship. She entered Howard University at the age of 15, making her one of the youngest students ever to enroll there. She eventually changed her major from piano to voice, and became an assistant conductor of the university choir. Her direction of a production of Aida received a standing ovation from the Howard University faculty. Flack is a member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority and was made an honorary member of Tau Beta Sigma by the Eta Delta Chapter at Howard University for her outstanding work in promoting music education.
RIGHT!
And There Sights of all, that you've earned.
Nothings Alright.
RIGHT!
You think you know inside but you don't!
Nothings Alright.
Breathe in, Breathe out.
I don't know where we stand.
Step in, Step out.
Time in time again.
You think you can leave on to believe
That you and me jammed in some kind of dream
FUCK THAT SHIT!
I cannot stand because you make me sick
Step off step off and RUN!
And There The Sights of all, that you've earned.
Nothings Alright.
RIGHT!
You think you know inside, but you don't!
Nothings Alright.
Breathe in, Breathe out.
This is going to hurt.
Good-bye, so long, hope you have a good life.
I cannot take the way you bring me down.
You think you know everything about me.
FUCK THAT SHIT!
I cannot stand because you make me sick.
Step off step off and RUN!
And There The Sights of all, that you've earned.
Nothings Alright.
No Oh... Nothings alright.
No Oh... Nothings alright!

Relocate Me.
This is The Way.
You Have A Choice.
Face Your Fears.
Time is running out.
Open up your eyes.
Show Me what it's worth.
What we hold inside.
Time to make a change.
Realize your fate.
What we hold inside,
Is Meant To Make Sin.
Let it all go.
Take what you want.
Stand up and fight.
Make yourself.
We will not rest.
We'll clear the way.
Never give up.
Rise Against.
Time is running out.
Open up your eyes.
Show Me what it's worth.
What we hold inside.
Time to make a change.
Realize your fate.
What we hold inside,
Is Meant To Make Sin.
Let it all go.
Take what you want.
Stand up and fight.
Make yourself.
We will not rest.
We'll clear the way.
Never give up.
Rise Against.
Time is running out.
Open up your eyes.
Show Me what it's worth.
What we hold inside.
Time to make a change.
Realize your fate.
What we hold inside,
Is Meant To Make Sin.
What we hold inside.
Time To Make A Change.
Realize Your Fate.
Pray God, Change of Dawn.
What is your Name?
Stand up and Fight.
This is the time.
I'm breaking down inside
I'm sick and tired of this life
I cannot take these lies
Holding on to what is gone
Strung out all the time
And there is nothing to gain
So what if I'm to blame
You're the one that holds the shame
Save me, save you,
I feel the truth,
What do I have to go through?
Take me, take you,
I feel the truth,
A place I've never been to
Tear me out, throw me out, Tear me down now
But know that I'll be free,
Tear me out, throw me out, tear me down now
But I know I'm not who I used to be
So much stronger now
Now that I've let this all go
It's time to live this life
Let me see what I can do
I can't promise you
But I will try my hardest
This is my new design
Make the best of what I've got
Save me, save you,
I feel the truth,
What do I have to go through?
Take me, take you
I feel the truth,
A place I've never been to
Tear me out, throw me out, Tear me down now
But know that I'll be free,
Tear me out, throw me out, tear me down now
But I know I'm not who I used to be
Can I lock myself outside this?
Can I reach myself inside?
Can I turn my back forever?
And never wonder why?
Can I lock myself outside this?
Can I reach myself inside?
Can I turn my back forever?
And never wonder why?
Can I lock myself outside this?
Can I reach myself inside?
Can I turn my back forever?
And never wonder why?
Why?
Why?
Why?
Save me, save you,
I feel the truth,
What do I have to go through?
Take me, take you
I feel the truth,
A place I've never been to
Tear me out, throw me out, Tear me down now
But know that I'll be free,
Tear me out, throw me out, tear me down now
But I know I'm not who I used to be
I will not break inside
I see the truth in myself
No longer will I bleed
Can I, call you heartless
Would I, be a friend
Be a friend
I am trying,
Oh I'm trying
My feelings have no patience
Why does this always happen
Don't you know that I love you
You put this wall between us
When we're supposed to be one
Why do I always feel like
That we will never feel right
Can I, call you heartless
Would I, be a friend
Be a friend
I am changing
Oh I'm changing
My feelings re-arranging
Constantly on the rebound
Trying hard not to be found
You put this wall between us
When we're supposed to be one
Why do I always feel like
That we will never feel right
Can I, call you heartless
Would I, be a friend
Be A Friend
Yes, you need me
I need you
But I feel like
I am failing for you
Can I, call you heartless
Would I, be a friend
Be a friend
I tried to help you through this
But you would never let go
Why do I always feel like
