"Qoros" é o primeiro veículo desenvolvido pelos chineses da Chery Automobile e os israelitas da Israel Corporation. O veículo ligeiro compacto deverá chegar aos mercados europeu e chinês em 2013. A Chery Quantum tem consciência de que têm de vencer a má imagem do "Made in China", como reconhece Volker Steinwascher, vice-presidente da empresa e ex-membro da Wolkswagen.

Israel, China team up for new auto brand
Chinese auto maker Chery Automobile Co. and Israeli holding company Israel Corporation have announced their intent to launch a new automotive brand, Quoros, which will focus on the Western European and Chinese domestic markets. Qoros plans to introduce a new compact sedan in Western Europe and China in 2013, initially producing 150000 of the new vehicles which will be sold through an independent retail network. They hope to eventually double production to 300000 of the new car. The launch of Qoros, comes as slow automobile sales, combined with an increase in competition, plagues China. The "talent", which includes BMW Mini designer Gert Hildebrand, is looking to create unique and distinctive international designs.

Une nouvelle voiture produite par Israël et la Chine
Qoros : c'est le nom du premier modèle de voiture développé en partenariat entre la Chine et Israël. Plus précisément, c'est Chery Quantum, une co-entreprise fondée par le constructeur automobile chinois Chery ET la multinationale Israël Corporation, qui aura la charge de cet ambitieux projet. Qoros, dont le lancement est annoncé pour 2013, ambitionne de s'imposer rapidement sur les marchés européens. Sa silhouette évoque celle d'une berline compacte d'allure moderne dont les détails restent encore à découvrir. Dans un premier temps, 150.000 modèles de ce véhicule seront fabriqués par le constructeur israélo-chinois. Les deux partenaires ont investi près de 500 millions de dollars dans cette aventure.

El fabricante de automóviles chino Chery Automobile Co, y el holding "Israel Corporation", anunciaron su intención de lanzar una nueva marca de automóviles, la cual estará centrada en los mercados nacionales de Europa occidental y China. De acuerdo con el comunicado oficial, las empresas fusionadas lanzarían en 2013, un nuevo un sedán compacto, con una producción inicial de 150.000 vehículos, los cuales se venderán a través de una red de distribución independiente. Según las proyecciones, las empresas esperan, eventualmente, duplicar su producción a 300.000 unidades. Ambas compañías constituyeron una firma en 2007 bajo el nombre de Chery Quantum Auto Co, la cual fue renombrada el lunes como "Qoros" El lanzamiento de la marca llega en medio de una desaceleración en las ventas de automóviles y un aumento feroz de la competencia en China, el mayor mercado mundial de automóviles. En octubre, la Asociación China de Fabricantes de Automóviles, redujo su pronóstico anual para el crecimiento de las ventas de automóviles nacionales a no más de 3% este año, en comparación con su pronóstico anterior, que anunciaba un aumento del 5%. www.euronews.net China's Chery Quantam auto has unveiled the design of its first car which it hopes will break new ground in Europe. The model, Qoros, is the result of a joint venture between biggest car manufacturer investment firm Israel Corp. The makers aim to reverse a trend and export Chinese cars to Western Europe.
