Iftikhar Thakur is a Pakistani stage actor. He originally hails from Mian Channu. Thakur worked there in a Motor Work Shop. He has starred in many stage dramas/telefilms in different languages such as Urdu, Punjabi, Pothwari/Mirpuri etc. One of his most famous telefilms has been "The Miki Kha ro England Series" which very successful amongst the Pothwari & kashmiri community.

Monali Thakur (bengali born November 3, 1985 in Kolkata, India) is an Indian playback singer and actress.
Thakur comes from a musical family, her father is Bengali singer and her sister Mehuli Thakur Goswami is also a playback singer. Being a child, she has also appeared in a Bengali television soap, Aalokito ek Indu, in which she played the lead role Indu.
Thakur got her start by singing in school and college competitions and performing at local functions, and then rose to popularity after placing ninth in Indian Idol 2. She had to struggle a lot hard even after Indian Idol to get a strong foothold in the music industry. Finally, she got an offer to sing for music director Pritam to sing two songs for the hit movie Race in 2008 - "Khwab Dekhe (Sexy lady)" and "Zara Zara Touch Me". She was originally scheduled for only one song, but her first recording impressed the film's directors Abbas and Mustan enough for them to book her a second. Plot
Parsimonious Bhanwarlal is a Bania (businessman) who lives in Navalgarh, Rajasthan, along with his wife; his sons Sunderlal and Kishanlal; Sunderlal is married to Gajrobai and has a son. During the annual camel race, Sunderlal loses the race to the Thakur and out of shame leaves home, never to return. Now Kishanlal has come of age and is married to Lachchi. But on the very next day of the marriage, he must leave for Jamnagar to attend to business, and can only return after five years. A tearful Lachchi bids him goodbye, but to her pleasant surprise he returns within a few days, and informs his dad that he had met a holy sage who had instructed him to return as he will find five gold coins every morning. Pleased with this, Bhanwarlal does not object to Kishanlal's return. After four years, it is now time for the camel race again, and this time Bhanwarlal's camel wins, much to the chagrin of the Thakur who suspects witchcraft. Then Lachchi gets pregnant and on the day of the child's birth the family finds out to their horror that there is an impostor who is claiming to be Kishanlal, and the husband of Lachchi. The family and the town are unable to decide who is real and who the impostor, as both look like twins, so they decide to approach the king and do his bidding. The question remains, who is the second Kishanlal and what possible motive could he have for coming to claim Lachchi as his wife?

Plot
Arjun lives a poor lifestyle in Madhopur along with his school-master dad, Bansilal, mom, and sister. His family is abused by Thakur Suryanarayan Singh's men and are forced to leave the region. Years later Arjun returns to avenge this humiliation but ends up getting arrested for killing a village belle, Tulsi, while his father gets killed by bandit Dhurjan Singh. Arjun is tried in Court, found guilty, and sentenced to life imprisonment, but with the help of another bandit, Shamsher Singh, escapes and kills Thakur Karan Singh. He then joins forces with Shamsher to kill Suryanarayan Singh and Dhurjan, who had earlier abducted and sexually molested, Lajwanti, Shamsher's betrothed and also killed Munna, his brother - little knowing that Suryanarayan has already enlisted the assistance of the Inspector General of Police to ensure their respective captures and arrests. And if that fails Suryanarayan also has another fail-safe plan that includes the deaths of both Arjun and Shamsher and an end to the threat on his life forever.

Unable to make even a middle-classed living, Sonia Khanna, who lives with her widowed and ailing mother, faces yet another challenge when she must get her mother hospitalized as well as come with money for medical expenses. She finds a job with Ooty-based widower Chaudhary Ranjit Singh as a governess for his children, but he prefers someone mature. So she dons the guise of an older woman, calls herself Savitri, and gets hired. Things get hilarious and out of control after she falls in love with her employer's nephew, Vijay, while being wooed by the later. Despite her parents' objections, Kalpana Awasti (Juhi Chawla) continues to meet with Shekar (Uday Tikekar), and continues a romance with him, with a view of marrying him later. Shekar and Kalpana both study in the same college. Shekar wants to groom Kalpana to be the new president of the student body, to which Kalpana agrees. Kalpana is very popular in the college, and seems that the majority of votes will go in her favor. This does not auger well with the rival student body, which is headed by the son of Thakur (Sadashiv Amrapurkar). Kalpana is pressured to resign as head of her student union, to which she refuses. Even Shekar attempts to persuade Kalpana to step aside are in vain. Thereafter, the authorities receive a written letter resignation from Kalpana. Shekar is puzzled by this, and wants to contact Kalpana, but she is nowhere to be found. A friend of Shekar borrows his raincoat, and the next day his dead body is found in a subway. Politics heats up to such an extent, so as to threaten the entire community, the police are indecisive and reluctant to act, and no one seems safe anymore.
Plot
Arun Anand has been married for several years now, but his wife is unable to conceive. Arun's has an affair with his personal secretary, Kiran, and as a result Kiran gets pregnant. Arun does not want a scandal to upset his wife, so he asks an impotent union leader, Pratap Singh, to marry Kiran, sire the child, and then divorce her, all for a hefty sum of money. Pratap agrees to this arrangement, and soon a boy is born. Pratap then changes his mind about divorcing Kiran, as her son is proof of his virility and manhood, and as such disappears from Arun's life. Years later Kiran's son has grown up and named Varun Singh. Arun finally finds out about them and meets them, but is rejected by Varun, who has come to accept Pratap as his father. There is a confrontation between Pratap and his employer, Thakur, and as a result, Varun is abducted, tied to a tree with four wild elephants who are made to drink alcohol, and after which will go on a drunken and virtually unstoppable rampage - starting with the gory death of the person nearest to them - Varun.

Seema and Uma belongs to a Thakur family which earns their bread & butter through stage & dance performances and this leaves Seema disowned by groom's father, right at the time of marriage rituals. Ashok, son of Diwan Saheb, marries Seema, then & there, to save their faces. Diwan disapproves this marriage and Ashok leaves his estate. He stays in a small rented house with Seema & Uma and starts doing odd jobs. Seema gives birth to their son, Munna. Ashok is diagnosed with an ophthalmic complicacy and need Rs.3000 for an operation which they could not manage despite many efforts. Seema writes to Diwan for money for Ashok's eye operation. Diwan agrees on a condition that Seema leaves Ashok alone. Seema goes on to commit suicide but is saved by a man. The suicide attempt makes her loose her memory. She starts working as nurse at Dr.Balraj's hospital. Ashok meets with a car accident and admitted to the hospital where his eyes were also operated. Uma goes to drop Munna to his grandfather and leave. But Diwan takes her as Ashok's wife and asks her to stay with him. She agrees for the sake of Munna. Dr.Balraj wants to marry Seema but she gains her memory back before the marriage takes place. Ashok has his operation successful. He finds Seema at Dr.Balraj's place. Diwan accepts Seema as his daughter in law.
