The Asian Tour is the principal men's professional golf tour in Asia except for Japan, which has its own Japan Golf Tour, which is also a full member of the International Federation of PGA Tours. The Asian Tour is administered from offices in Singapore. It is controlled by a board with a majority of professional golfers, and a Tournament Players Committee of its player members, supported by an executive team. The Executive Chairman of the Board is the Burmese professional golfer Kyi Hla Han.
The first season in the current lineage was played in 1995, although there had been earlier attempts to create an Asian Tour. The Asian PGA was formed in July 1994 at a meeting in Hong Kong attended by PGA representatives from eight countries. In 1998 the Asian Tour became the sixth member of the International Federation of PGA Tours. In 2002, the tour moved its office from Hong Kong to Malaysia and in 2004 the tour was taken over by a new organisation established by the players, who had been in dispute with the previous management. In 2007 it moved to new headquarters on the resort island of Sentosa in Singapore, which is also the home to what was at that time the tour's richest sole sanctioned tournament, the Singapore Open. Official money events on the tour count for World Golf Ranking points.
Quentin Mosimann (born on February 14, 1988, in Geneva) is a Swiss singer, winner of the seventh season of the TV reality show Star Academy France. His first solo album, Duel, is composed of cover versions of 1980s hits. His second album, Exhibition is due for release in May 2010.
Quentin Mosimann was born in Geneva on February 14, 1988, of a Swiss father (a native of Berne in German-speaking Switzerland) and a French mother. However, he only had that Swiss nationality.
He lived for three years in Geneva, then, following the separation of his parents, moved to Bogève, Haute-Savoie, with his mother.
He currently lives in Hyères, Var (since 2005) where he performs, under the pseudonym John Louly, as a DJ, at the NJoy, with John Revox and Christian Sims.
Quentin Mosimann was selected for the Star Academy 7. Throughout the weeks, the young man sang in a jazzy and electro musical universe. With a sole pre-nomination and a victory in the semi-final against Claire-Marie, he won the final on February 15, 2008, with 52.6% of votes, and 47.4% for Mathieu. He won 1,000,000 euros, 200,000 of them immediately available.
Thomas Jacob "Jack" Black (born August 28, 1969) is an American comedian, actor and musician. He makes up one half of the comedy and satirical rock duo Tenacious D. The group has three albums as well as a television series and a film. His acting career is extensive, starring primarily as bumbling, cocky, but internally self-conscious outsiders in comedy films. He was a member of the Frat Pack, a group of comedians who have appeared together in several Hollywood films, and has been nominated for a Golden Globe award. He has also won an MTV Movie Award, and a Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award as well as hosting the 2006, 2008, and 2011 Kids Choice Awards.
Black was born in Santa Monica, California, the son of two satellite engineers, Judith (née Cohen), who worked on the Hubble Space Telescope, and Thomas William Black. His mother is Jewish and his father converted to Judaism (Black attended Hebrew school). On The Tonight Show, he said his surname may have come from the occupational name Blacksmith. Black's parents divorced when he was 10; Black moved to Culver City with his father and frequently visited his mother’s home. As a child, Black appeared in a commercial for the Activision game Pitfall! in 1982, which was later shown during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live and again on The Tonight Show with Conan O' Brien. When Black entered high school, his parents enrolled him at the Poseidon School, a private secondary school engineered specifically for students struggling in the traditional school system. Black also attended the Crossroads School, where he excelled in drama. He later attended UCLA but dropped out during his sophomore year to pursue a career in entertainment, at which point his father discontinued his financial support.[citation needed] Fellow UCLA alumnus Tim Robbins later cast Black in Bob Roberts. He also had recurring roles on the HBO sketch comedy series Mr. Show.
Kyle Richard Gass (born July 14, 1960), also known as KG or Kage, is an American rock musician, singer-songwriter and actor. He is a member of the bands Tenacious D and Trainwreck. In Tenacious D (which also features Jack Black), Gass plays lead guitar and sings backup vocals, and also plays the role of Black's comic foil in most of their comedy routines. He is the godfather of Jack Black's son.
Kyle Gass was born in Castro Valley, California. Much like his musical career, Gass' acting career also started at a young age. His first gig was for a 7-Up advertisement.[citation needed] Later in his career he met actor Tim Robbins[citation needed], who recruited him into the Actor's Gang. Gass soon graduated from UCLA. In 1986, a 16-year-old Jack Black was one of the new recruits in the Actor's Gang, and the two were introduced. According to Gass, he actually did not like Black at first, but the duo eventually settled their differences and soon became best friends. Gass taught Black how to play guitar, and the two soon formed the band Tenacious D.[citation needed]
The Inspector is a series of 1960s theatrical cartoons produced by DePatie-Freleng Enterprises and released through United Artists. The titular character is based on Jacques Clouseau, a comical French police officer who is the main character in the Pink Panther series of films.
Although the titular character was never given a name, in contrast to the completely inept Inspector Clouseau, the cartoon character was generally competent, if prone to moments of bad judgement. Humor came from the sometimes surreal villains and situations the Inspector was exposed to, with a healthy dose of stylized cartoon slapstick. Through these difficult circumstances, criminals often get the better of him and he must face the wrath of his ill-tempered, bullying Commissioner (based on Herbert Lom's Commissioner Dreyfus) who holds him in well-deserved contempt.
Pat Harrington, Jr., provided the voice (and voiceover narration) for the Inspector and, with the exception of one cartoon, his assistant, a Spanish gendarme named Deux-Deux (common nickname in French for Eduard or Eduardo). In Spain, the character was named "Totó", and in the Mexican dubbing, Dodó. The name in the English version of the cartoon sounds like Ju-Du. The frustrated Commissioner was voiced by Larry Storch in the first two cartoons, Paul Frees in most of the following ones, and Marvin Miller in the final few cartoons. The first entry, The Great DeGaulle Stone Operation, was the short featured before screenings of the James Bond film Thunderball.
From the first time you told me about
Everything you had seen
We were just boys, but there was no doubt
That in my heart I believed
That brother I’d follow you
Into a hailstorm of an angry town
With words like jagged knives
Every stone was meant to bring you down
Something you’d know all your life
And brother I’ll follow you
Rain or shine…fire and ice
With faith like iron
You walk right on through
And brother I’ll follow you
Into Ohio, a new northern town
Not knowing just what lies in store
Hearts were changing the Saints we grew
As our hands built the House Of Our Lord
And brother I’ll follow you
Into a cold night our children cried
Driven further west
And out of a swamp our hands built up Navuoo
And we prayed in the Lord we’d find rest
And brother we followed you
Rain or shine…fire and ice
With faith like iron
You walked right on through
And brother I’ll follow you
Into a building of sand, stone and steel
With faith like a rock you walked in
And at the end yours eyes looked into mine
With the love of a life-long friend
And yes, brother, I’ll follow you
Rain or shine…fire and ice
With faith like iron
You walked right on through
