The young man calls for Yaoshe, claiming that he has come to interview for the game review position. Unfortunately, no one answers the young reviewer’s call. Puzzled about the current situation, the Double A Nintendo Geek attempts to knock on Yaoshe’s door once more, but the again the door remains closed. After carefully examining the door, The Double A Nintendo Geek notices that the door is unlocked. Throwing caution to the wind, the young man slowly turns the door knob and enters into Yaoshe’s room. To his surprise, he finds that the room is completely vacant. The young reviewer proceeds to look around the room. He suddenly stumbles upon a note with the following message: “Dear potential game reviewing candidate. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I have had to leave my headquarters for an indefinite period of time. If you are reading this message, I have basically given you the game review position. Feel free to customize your show anyway you see fit. I have left you with everything you need to start your show. You will find the equipment in the basement section of my headquarters. Thank you for joining the Yaoshe Productions Team. Sincerely, Yaoshe SonPoku P.S. Please refrain from answering any messages, or conducting business with any of the following…beings: Evil Dan, Psychotic Todd, Crazy Dan, and Xerxes. Should you come in to contact with them…on second thought, forget what I just said, you’ll be fine…I think. Excited yet baffled by the letter. The Double A Nintendo Geek proceeds to head to Yaoshe’s basement. To his assessment he stumbles across an area with a series of video game consoles and a large flat screen television . Starring at awe of the wonderful gaming spectacle. The Double A Nintendo Geek decides to think of ways to introduce his new gaming review show. All of a sudden an idea comes to the young reviewer’s mind, and he begins to work on his new review show. At the end of he show he receives a call from Yaoshe. The young video maker/producer proceeds to ask The Double A Nintendo Geek about his show. The Double A Nintendo reveals to Yaoshe that his show was a success. When the conversation is finished, Yaoshe congratulates himself for using the naïve gamer to escape Xexres and Evil Dan. Unfortunately, the young reviewer’s celebration is cut short, when an unforeseen turn of events causes him to take a painful trip to the netherworld. It is known as Asia’s world city. Welcome to WatchMojo.com, and today we’re taking a look at the Kowloon Peninsula, the New Territories and the Outlying Islands of Hong Kong. Location Located on China’s southern coast, Hong Kong is a special administrative region of the Asian country which comprises Hong Kong Island, the New Territories, the Kowloon Peninsula and over 200 Outlying Islands. Kowloon If you’re coming from Hong Kong Island, hop onto the Star Ferry for a scenic route to Kowloon. The Kowloon peninsula is home to the Walled City Park, the Wong Tai Sin Temple and commercial buildings such as the Star House. You will also find one of the world’s tallest structures, the International Commerce Centre, in the west. Want to take a walk along a seaside promenade? Then check out the Avenue of Stars for sculptures of Hong Kong movie stars. At night, you will be treated to a light and sound show called A Symphony of Lights. New Territories Further north of Kowloon, you’ll find the New Territories, where the protected Man Mo Temple is found. The New Territories are also known for their beaches, large towns, farms, and country parks. To learn more about Hong Kong’s natural environment and animal life, head to Hong Kong Wetland Park, which has a reserve, conservation facility and more. Cheung Chau Also part of the New Territories is a small dumbbell-shaped island southwest of Hong Kong Island called Cheung Chau. As one of Hong Kong’s oldest islands, you are bound to see many people taking pride in Chinese culture and traditions here. Lamma Island When it comes to the Outlying Islands, if you’d like a quiet and calm hideaway that isn’t bogged down with modern skyscrapers, check out Lamma Island. Lantau However, thanks to its natural landscape, beaches and countryside, Lantau is probably the most well-known island of them all. Be sure to do some hiking to catch some spectacular mountain views! In addition to the traditional villages, you will also find one of Hong Kong’s most important centers of Buddhism in Lantau. After you have a bite to eat and do some shopping at the Ngong Ping Village, take the Ngong Ping 360 skyrail to the Po Lin Monastery. You simply can’t miss out on seeing the massive Tien Tan Buddha statue situated not too far away. Top 10 Dangerous Cities in the US Lock your doors, watch your back and store your valuables in your trunk. Welcome to WatchMojo.com, and today we’re counting down our picks for the top 10 most dangerous cities in the United States. For this list, we mainly based our rankings on the FBI’s latest statistics on violent crimes, which include murder, aggravated assault, rape, and robberies. However, while these cities are at a low-point in their histories, there’s nowhere to go but up, so hopefully they’ll see their fortunes turn soon. #10: Atlanta, Georgia #9: Baltimore, Maryland #8: Birmingham, Alabama #7: Memphis, Tennessee #6: Chicago, Illinois #5: Camden, New Jersey #4: St. Louis, Missouri #3: Flint, Michigan The birthplace of General Motors, Flint was once home to thousands of auto manufacturing jobs. But, with the decline of the U.S. auto industry, most of those jobs are now gone. Close to 40% of Flint’s population lives below the poverty line and the city has had to cut back significantly on police budgets, having a huge effect on the city’s crime-fighting efforts. With just over 100,000 residents, Flint saw almost 70 murders in 2012, and over 50 the following year. The city is also especially dangerous for women, with the most disturbing attack being the rape of an 87-year old woman in in the middle of the day back in 2012. #2: Oakland, California According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Oakland figures in the top 5 cities nationwide for gang homicides. This California city’s main problems stem from poverty, the drug trade, and gang-related crime. Found just across the Bay from San Fran, Oakland was also classified first coast-to-coast for violent robberies. As the city faced budget cuts, the police force shrunk significantly and was soon one-third the size of other cities in the state, even though it’s plagued by the most crime. Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few of our honorable mentions: Cleveland, Ohio Little Rock, Arkansas Milwaukee, Wisconsin Buffalo, New York Orlando, Florida Springfield, Missouri Salt Lake City, Utah #1: Detroit, Michigan Once a booming metropolis and the automotive capital of the world, Detroit has seen a steady decline since the mid-20th century. After major industries started outsourcing their manufacturing jobs to cheaper pastures, unemployment soared. As a result, Detroit’s violent crime rate hovers around five times the national average, and it has the highest homicide rate among big cities. For this list, we’re looking at Avengers from the movies, TV and comic books. In order to qualify for the list, you must have been a full-fledged member of the main Avengers team. So sorry to all of the New Avengers, Mighty Avengers, Young Avengers, West Coast Avengers, Secret Avengers or any other offshoot of the Avengers team. #10: The Black Panther #9: The Wasp #8: Vision #7: Black Widow #6: Hawkeye #5: Ant Man #4: The Hulk #3: Thor Another founding member of the group, Thor is a god who was once one of the most boastful beings in all of the nine realms, that his people have helped to keep in harmony. Sent to Midgard – or Earth as we call it – to learn humility, the god of thunder discovered a love for humanity that made him into one of its greatest protectors. When he found a team of people whose goals were similar to his own, he found a family who he would die to protect. #2: Iron Man A war profiteering alcoholic whose inventions and technology have killed countless people, Tony Stark had a lot to overcome when he decided he was going to save those he had put into danger. Luckily for us and the Avengers he just happens to be a genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist who created a suit of armor that turns him into Iron Man, and he had a change of heart to go along with it. Along with our number one choice, he has most defined the direction of the group almost since the beginning. Before we reveal our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions. - Falcon - Quicksilver - The Scarlet Witch - Captain Marvel #1: Captain America The literal flag bearer of the group, Cap is the ultimate team leader. Because, why be led by an actual God, or some of the smartest men in the world, when you can follow ‘Murica? Capable of knowing the strengths and weaknesses of all of his teammates and where those skills will be best applied in any battle situation, Cap’s ability to perceive the best strategy in every moment makes him perhaps the most valuable Avenger of all time. When you throw in his seemingly endless enthusiasm and belief in his teammates – once they’ve earned his trust – Cap easily becomes the ultimate Avenger. Do you agree with our list? For this Top 10, we’re looking at franchises that have sported consistently good gameplay, have a notable degree of fame and acclaim, and have been successful enough among fans and critics alike. #10: StarFox (1992-) #9: Fire Emblem (1990-) #8: Kirby (1992-) #7: Animal Crossing (2001-) #6: Donkey Kong (1982-) #5: Metroid (1986-) #4: Super Smash Bros. (1999-) #3: Pokémon (1998-) If you grew up in the 90s, you definitely remember the year or two where the world was swept up in the craze that is Pokémon, both on everyone’s Gameboy, and on TV. The franchise is still going strong, thanks to its addictive team-building, exploration-based, competition-heavy gameplay. From its humble beginnings in the grayscale Kanto region to the exhilarating 3D world of Kalos, Pokémon’s had gamers running around tall grass searching for powerful critters for years now, all in the hopes of becoming the ultimate Pokémon Master. #2: Legend of Zelda (1986-) Another NES gem that truly blossomed with every Nintendo console that followed, no gamer has truly tasted adventure until they’ve played through any Zelda game. The large, immersive world of Hyrule filled with fairies, talking trees, magical spirits, fearsome beasts, and pointy-eared swordsmen has been home to some of the most memorable adventures yet, with more to come. The only misstep in the franchise’s history may have been its title – for the hundredth time, the main character is Link not Zelda! Before we reveal our top pick, here are some honorable mentions: Kid Icarus F-Zero Pikmin Wii Sports/Party/Music (2006-) #1: Mario (1985-) Are you surprised? You shouldn’t be – almost any Nintendo fan can tell you that Mario’s various adventures are addictive, charming, and masterfully-made, earning him this #1 spot. This brave overall-clad hero doesn’t just stomp on Koopas and rescue princesses, he also stars in games that span almost every genre: Racing, Boardgame, RPG, Sports, Puzzle, and more. Whether he’s lobbing blue shells at his opponents, or turning paper-thin, Mario’s is inarguably, the most iconic video game character ever, and this robust and varied franchise is at the heart of every gamer.
