Grades in the realm of education are standardized measurements of varying levels of comprehension within fish a subject area. Grades can be assigned in letters (for example, A, B, C, D, or E, or F), as a range (for example 4.0–1.0), as a number out of a possible total (for example out of 20 or 100), as descriptors (excellent, great, satisfactory, needs improvement), in percentages, or, as is common in some post-secondary institutions in some countries, as a Grade Point Average (GPA). GPA is calculated by taking the number of grade points a student earned in a given period of time divided by the total number of credits taken. The GPA can be used by potential employers or further post-secondary institutions to assess and compare applicants. A Cumulative Grade Point Average is a calculation of the average of all of a student's grades for all semesters and courses completed up to a given academic term, whereas the GPA may only refer to one term.
Keith Hoskin argues that the concept of grading students' work quantitatively was developed by a tutor named William Farish and first implemented by the University of Cambridge in 1792. Hoskin's assertion has been questioned by Christopher Stray, who finds the evidence for Farish as the inventor of the numerical mark to be unpersuasive. Stray's article elucidates the complex relationship between the mode of examination (testing), in this case oral or written, and the varying philosophies of education these modes imply, both to teacher and student. As a technology, grading both shapes and reflects many fundamental areas of educational theory and practice.

Education in its broadest, general sense is the means through which the aims and habits of a group of people lives on from one generation to the next. Generally, it occurs through any experience that has a formative effect on the way one thinks, feels, or acts. In its narrow, technical sense, education is the formal process by which society deliberately transmits its accumulated knowledge, skills, customs and values from one generation to another, e.g., instruction in schools.
A right to education has been created and recognized by some jurisdictions: Since 1952, Article 2 of the first Protocol to the European Convention on Human Rights obliges all signatory parties to guarantee the right to education. At the global level, the United Nations' International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights of 1966 guarantees this right under its Article 13.
Etymologically, the word education is derived from the Latin ēducātiō (“A breeding, a bringing up, a rearing) from ēdūcō (“I educate, I train”) which is related to the homonym ēdūcō (“I lead forth, I take out; I raise up, I erect”) from ē- (“from, out of”) and dūcō (“I lead, I conduct”).

Hunan TV produces a new campus reality show “Grade One”, is going to be on air stating October 17, every Friday at 10pm. The show records how grade one kids interact and learn in school life. “Grade One” is going to be on air for 11 weeks, featuring 7 kids from different families. The kids will have to learn how to live in a boarding school without family beside them. The show has 2 celebrities Chen Xue Dong and Song Jie to take the role as their head teacher and life teacher, to accompany the kids while the show is on production. “Grade One” is coordinated by “Dad Where Are We Going”, “I Am A Singer” and “Divas Hit The Road” directors and post production team, which meets the extreme high quality production standard.

In these weeks, activities are designed to challenge and extend students’ understanding of inventions as they consider their global impact in an interconnected world of technology and communication. Engaging with the picture book If the world were a village of 100 people, students consider the worldwide impact of an invention while empathising with the experience of a global citizen. A man who once held the post of deputy education minister in Ontario and Manitoba pleaded guilty to three child pornography-related charges Tuesday, as graphic details of his online activities were detailed in a Toronto court.
Benjamin Levin entered a guilty plea for making written child pornography, counselling a person to commit a sexual assault, and possession of child pornography.
Ontario "Sex-Education" Curriculum
Education Minister Liz Sandals has released the controversial sex education curriculum. It is essentially the same as the unacceptable curriculum released in 2010. The latter caused so much controversy that it was withdrawn.
Anyone who knows and understands children is aware that children in grade 3 (age 8) should not be burdened with information about "gender identity" (e.g. male, female, two-spirited, transgender, transsexual, and intersex) and sexual orientation and same-sex families; in grade 6 (age 11) about masturbation and the rejection of words such as "husband" and "wife"; or in grade 7 (age 12) about anal, oral and vaginal sex. It is significant that this curriculum addresses "gender identity" 35 times through a child's development from grade one to eight. What is its message? To encourage children to question their gender? -

President Barack Obama is being blatantly disingenuous when he says he believes in the Second Amendment. He opposed it as recently as three years ago, and seems to be hoping that Americans don’t know how to use something called “Google” to realize his actions contradict his words.
In his gun-control press conference we analyzed yesterday, Obama said: “Let me be absolutely clear. Like most Americans, I believe the Second Amendment guarantees an individual right to bear arms.”
Flashback to 2008. Obama had secured the Democratic nomination, and needed to flush the anti-Second Amendment rhetoric he used against Hillary Clinton in the primaries to have a chance of winning the White House.

Wayne LaPierre, Executive Vice President of the National Rifle Association, appeared on "Varney & Co." to weigh in on President Obama using his executive authority to try and ban certain bullets for the AR-15 rifle.
LaPierre told Stuart Varney that Obama is "grasping at straws," since he has been unable to ban the AR-15 in the past.
"This is a president that hates the Second Amendment, hates the constitutional right of Americans to own firearms," LaPierre said. "He can't win at the ballot box, he can't win in Congress, so he's putting on his dictator's hat and he's going to do it by fiat. And we're not going to let it happen."
LaPierre explained that the ammunition in question, the 5.56 M855 "lightgreen tip," is no more armor-piercing or dangerous to law enforcement than any other round, contrary to what Obama's proposal may say.
"He's simply trying to rewrite the rules to ban ammunition. And if he can ban this ammunition under this false premise, he can ban all ammunition."
