Nizamuddin West is a historic neighbourhood and one the colonies of South Delhi across Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station.

This upscale locality is named after 13th century Sufi saint, Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya, whose dargah is situated within the area. Nizamuddin West is a posh colony. The Residential Welfare Association (RWA) of Nizamuddin is working for this area to make it more secure and peaceful for the people of this colony.

The colony is divided into six blocks and has the main entry point near the petrol pump at the Mathura Road. The area is greener because it has a lot of parks. Nizamuddin Basti (Village) is in the close vicinity of this area.

This colony is regarded as one of the posh Muslim colonies. The prices of the houses in this area are on a steady rise.

Asadullah Khan is a former Afghan cricketer. Khan is a right-handed batsman who bowls right arm medium pace. He has previously represented the Afghanistan national cricket team.

His debut for the national team came in 2003 when Afghanistan played Chitral District in the 2003/04 Inter-District Senior Tournament. He later represented Afghanistan in the 2004 ACC Trophy, where he represented Afghanistan in 6 matches, the last of which came against Nepal.

Three years passed before Khan represented Afghanistan again. In 2007, he represented the team in 2007/08 Inter-District Senior Tournament, playing 3 matches against Lower Dir District, Charsadda District and Swat District. The following year he was a member of Afghanistan's 2009 ICC World Cricket League Division Three squad. During that tournament he played a single match for Afghanistan against Papua New Guinea in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Khan no longer represents the senior team, but is a senior youth coach for the Afghan Youth Cricket Association.

Inayat Khan (Urdu: عنایت خان ) (July 5, 1882 – February 5, 1927) was the founder of The Sufi Order in the West in 1914 (London) and teacher of Universal Sufism. He initially came to the West as a Northern Indian classical musician, having received the honorific "Tansen" from the Nizam of Hyderabad, but he soon turned to the introduction and transmission of Sufi thought and practice. Later, in 1923, the Sufi Order of the London period was dissolved into a new organization, formed under Swiss law, called the "International Sufi Movement". His message of divine unity (Tawhid) focused on the themes of love, harmony and beauty. He taught that blind adherence to any book rendered religion void of spirit. Branches of Inayat Khan's movement can be found in the Netherlands, France, England, Germany, the United States, Canada, Russia and Australia.

Inayat Khan was born in Vadodara, Gujarat to a noble Muslim Indian family (his mother was a descendant of the uncle of Tipu Sultan, the famous eighteenth century ruler of Mysore). Primarily he represented the Chishti Order of Sufism, having received initiation into the Nizamiyya sub-branch of that order from Shaykh Muhammed Abu Hashim Madani, but was also initiated into the Suhrawardiyya, Qadiriyya and Naqshbandi. His spiritual lineage (Silsila), as compiled by Pir Zia Inayat Khan, follows a traditional lineage from Ali ibn Abi Talib, through Abu Ishaq Shami (d. 940), the founder of the Chishti order, to Nasiruddin Chiragh Dehlavi (d. 1356).
