Don (Spanish: [ˈdon], Italian: [ˈdɔn], Portuguese: Dom [ˈdõ]) from Latin dominus, is an honorific title used in Iberia and Italy. The female equivalent is Doña (Spanish: [ˈdoɲa]), Donna (Italian: [ˈdɔnna]), and Dona (Portuguese: [ˈdonɐ]), abbreviated "Dª" or simply "D."
Although originally a title reserved for royalty, select nobles, and church hierarchs, it is now often used as a mark of esteem for a person of personal, social or official distinction, such as a community leader of long standing, a person of significant wealth, or a noble, but may also be used ironically. As a style, rather than a title or rank, it is used with, and not instead of, a person's name.
Syntactically, it is used in much the same way (although for a broader group of persons) as "Sir" and "Dame" are used in English when speaking of or to a person who has been knighted, e.g. "Don Firstname" or "Doña Firstname Lastname". Unlike "The Honourable" in English, Don may be used when speaking directly to a person, and unlike "Mister" it must be used with a given name. For example, "Don Diego de la Vega," or (abbreviating "señor") "Sr. Don Diego de la Vega," or simply "Don Diego" (the secret identity of Zorro) are typical forms. But a form like "Don de la Vega," is not correct. "Sr. Diego" is not correct either, even if it is becoming widespread in certain environments (e.g.: supermarkets' megaphone systems) where people try to sound formal despite their lack of awareness regarding style.[original research?]

No quiero ser un don
Con esos aires repugnantes
Ni esclavo de un señor
Que me transforme en un tunante
Yo puedo pretender
Me gustan tus excitaciones
Pídeme por favor
Complaceré tus tentaciones
Yo quiero ser tu violador
Entrar en tus perturbaciones
No pretendo ser tu Dios
Con mis estúpidas canciones
Ya no te extrañaré
No lloraré cuando te vayas
Y pronto lo sabrás
No son palabras son mis ganas
Don’t Belong 2 Me
Let me introduce myself, I’m a guy that travels far
everyone around me has a home and a big car.
I never needed fancy things, until you came along,
they are just material things,
and that’s not where I belong
I’m not begging for money,
I just wish that you care.
If you think that you want me?
Do I want you?
U don’t belong 2 me, I don’t belong 2 U
Don’t like the things you do, it simply wasn’t meant to be.
What else can I do? I’ll wait for you tonight.
What else can I do? Than choke my faith and stab my pride.
Give me one reason, why we’re so aware
cause I don’t think that this is going anywhere
You’re everything that I could dream
Every time you look at me
‘make me feel like I’m queen of the world
You’re so amazing it’s insane
Can’t find a single thing
I would even change if you were mine
But I don’t wanna’ love you
And I don’t wanna’ care
Cause if I go on and love you
And you go - what then?
I could so get used to this
--knowing what to expect
You never leave me guessing how you feel
You say “I Love You” every day
“Thank You” is all I say
‘cause I’m afraid you’re too good to be real
Don’t wanna love you
No I don’t wanna care
Cause if I go on and love you
You’ll go

Don Don Don...
Quiero saber que me pasa
Te pregunto que me pasa
Y no sabes qué contestarme
Porque claro, de seguro te mareé
Con mis idas y vueltas, te canse con mi camara lenta
Y aunque trato, nunca puedo, apurar mi decisión
Tu palabra, me nivela y detiene mi caer
Oh!
Quizas seas tu quien me hara regresar
Intuyo que sabes la forma mejor
