Karelia (Karelian and Finnish Karjala; Russian: Карелия, Kareliya; Swedish: Karelen), the land of the Karelian peoples, is an area in Northern Europe of historical significance for Finland, Russia, and Sweden. It is currently divided between the Russian Republic of Karelia, the Russian Leningrad Oblast, and Finland (the regions of South Karelia and North Karelia).
Various subdivisions may be called Karelia. Finnish Karelia was a historical province of Finland, now divided between Finland and Russia, often called just Karjala in Finnish. The eastern part of this chiefly Lutheran area was ceded to Russia after the Winter War of 1939-40. This area is the "Karelia" of the Karelian question in Finnish politics.
The Republic of Karelia is a Russian federal subject, including the so-called "East Karelia" with a chiefly Russian Orthodox population.
Within present-day Finland, Karjala refers to regions of South and North Karelia.
Karelia was bitterly fought over by the Swedes and the Novgorod Republic for a period starting in the 13th-century Swedish-Novgorodian Wars. The Treaty of Nöteborg (Finnish: Pähkinäsaaren rauha) in 1323 divided Karelia between the two. Viborg (Finnish: Viipuri) became the capital of the new Swedish province.
Jean Sibelius ( pronunciation (help·info); 8 December 1865 – 20 September 1957) was a Finnish composer of the later Romantic period. His music played an important role in the formation of the Finnish national identity. His mastery of the orchestra has been described as "prodigious."
The core of Sibelius's oeuvre is his set of seven symphonies. Like Beethoven, Sibelius used each successive work to further develop his own personal compositional style. His works continue to be performed frequently in the concert hall and are often recorded.
In addition to the symphonies, Sibelius's best-known compositions include Finlandia, the Karelia Suite, Valse triste, the Violin Concerto in D minor and The Swan of Tuonela (one of the four movements of the Lemminkäinen Suite). Other works include pieces inspired by the Finnish national epic, the Kalevala; over 100 songs for voice and piano; incidental music for 13 plays; the opera Jungfrun i tornet (The Maiden in the Tower); chamber music; piano music; Masonic ritual music; and 21 separate publications of choral music.
Michael Schønwandt (born 10 September 1953 in Copenhagen) is a Danish conductor. In Denmark, he studied piano, theory, and composition, and later continued musical studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
In 1979, Schønwandt secured a post as 'permanent conductor' by the Royal Opera in Copenhagen. Schønwandt is Music Director of the Royal Danish Orchestra and the Royal Opera in Copenhagen since 2000. His work in contemporary opera has included conducting the world premiere productions of Poul Ruders' operas The Handmaid’s Tale and Dancer in the Dark.
Schønwandt was principal guest conductor of the Théâtre National de La Monnaie from 1984 to 1987, and held the same post with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra from 1987 to 2000. Schønwandt has also served as chief conductor of the Berliner Sinfonie-Orchester from 1992 to 1998. In May 2009, Schønwandt was named principal conductor of the Netherlands Radio Chamber Philharmonic and formally took up the post in August 2010.
Schønwandt's recordings include the symphonies and concerti of Carl Nielsen. In addition, he has made several opera recordings, such as Salome and The Handmaid’s Tale.
Sir Harold Malcolm Watts Sargent (29 April 1895 – 3 October 1967) was an English conductor, organist and composer widely regarded as Britain's leading conductor of choral works. The musical ensembles with which he was associated included the Ballets Russes, the Huddersfield Choral Society, the Royal Choral Society, the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company, and the London Philharmonic, Hallé, Liverpool Philharmonic, BBC Symphony and Royal Philharmonic orchestras. Sargent was held in high esteem by choirs and instrumental soloists, but because of his high standards and a statement that he made in a 1936 interview disputing musicians' rights to tenure, his relationship with orchestral players was often uneasy. Despite this, he was co-founder of the London Philharmonic, was the first conductor of the Liverpool Philharmonic as a full-time ensemble, and played an important part in saving the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra from disbandment in the 1960s.
As chief conductor of London's internationally famous summer music festival the Proms from 1948 to 1967, Sargent was one of the best-known English conductors. When he took over the Proms from their founder, Sir Henry Wood, he and two assistants conducted the two-month season between them. By the time he died, he was assisted by a large international roster of guest conductors.

(lyrics: E. Holopainen)
(music: T. Koivusaari E. Holopainen)
"The sound of thousand warriors
The fields of thousand battles
Still, in our hearts we can hear
Sweetness of velvet, toys around my bed
Put on probation but don't really care
At my call, you rushed up to see me
When darkness came I felt like naked worm
Impending danger as you closed the door
A presence around, malicious appearance
I cut off the light and hold tight the sheets
Bright eyes are still staring me
But my cries are vain
No complain could make you up by now
Watch over me
Stay with babe until morning comes
Watch over me
Keep babe in secure and warm
Now time has come to break these tender ties
Free as a bird but don't really care
At my call, the walls reverberate
When darkness comes I feel like naked worm
Impending danger and nightmarish set
In which I'll live without you for evermore
I cut off the light and hold tight the sheets
Bright eyes are still staring me
But my cries are vain
No complain could make you up by now
Watch over me
Stay with babe until morning comes
Watch over me
The whole truth, who can tell?
I raise my hand and swear
(Stick to the facts, stick to the facts! )
Chorus:
I never slap her down, never shout at her
Never have a grudge, calm down, understand
Tolerant and stuff
I never beat for fun, your honour
I was such a cunt
(Stick to the facts, stick to the facts! )
This trial does not make sense
The whole thing is a farce
(Stick to the facts, stick to the facts! )
Chorus
She was blind drunk, you know the kind
I had no choice but to strike, beat her to death
She can go to hell for all I care
Your honour I'm not to blame, it's only right...
[Choirs :]
Vizi degli oumini hanno preso il sopravvento su me
Stammi vicino, non sei qui adesso, aiutami presto subito
Wandering soldiers break into that sweet home
Hidden and scared she's crying
Don't be afraid of some gallant wanderers
Just looking for a good time, trying to forget
Give us a little love
Please let us take a rest
Horrors of war are deep in our minds
Give us your sweetness, your consolation
Or we'll take them by force
Forgive my sin
God shall let me leave in peace of mind
Forget my face
You full of grace
[Choirs :]
Vizi degli oumini hanno preso il sopravvento su me
Stammi vicino, non sei qui adesso, aiutami presto subito
Come appease our lust, and look me in the eyes
Your face is tense with grief
Give us that wonder, don't force us to come to blows
Just shut up and dry your tears, take off all that clothes
Forgive my sin
God shall let me leave in peace of mind
Forget my face
Take me tenderly,
if you could salivate, I would appreciate that.
Could you, you could, you know
All that is good is so bad
This fat is teasing me
Does your appetite whet you and let you forget your
vows?
I wait on this chilly plate trying to titillate
Tickle my raspberry nippes so gingerly
You want me, I know, I can see by the greed in your
eyes.
There could have been others, but none of such
sickening size
The sensation is sweet
But time
passes so [quickly?],
So why don’t you eat me?
Could you encircle me with lips that a-quiver and drip
for me?
I’m whipped and I’m stiff and I want to be licked
There’s bits that taste quite sugary
Damn your piety!
What can you gain from cold restraint?
The strain that sings, it’s spilling like cream
How can you watch it turn?
Mmmmm
You want me, I know, I can see by the greed in your
eyes.
There could have been others, but none of such
sickening size
The sensation is sweet
But time
passes so quickly,
So why don’t you
Do you remember, remember that night?
Oh, when I held you in my heart so tight?
Oh, your slender neck
was so gentle and light.
I’d never seen you so graceful or calm.
It’s those sort of moments I’d love to embalm.
Oh, you’re mine
forever more.
Oh, you’re mine forever more.
Yes you’re mine
forever more.
May I remind you how still you lay?
You sounded so peaceful with nothing to say.
And as I kissed you your lips grew cold,
as cool as an ageless beauty of old.
Oh, you’re mine forever more.
Oh, you’re mine forever more.
Lived for a long time surrounded
By numb and indifferent crowd
Wandering amid empty faces
Enslaved by shallow existence
Misunderstood, faced impassable walls
I Could not rely on anyone
I endeavoured to look like them
Played this ludicrous part in vain
Overwhelmed by the weigh of lies
Misunderstood, had to run away
Left all in this unreal comedy
Don't regret this great build-up at all
I did not exist
Now every dawn's rebirth
Released at last, I'm no longer enjailed
I start from scratch again
Surrounded by the crowd
Devoured by constant strains I knew that
I cannot live that way, amid them
Insane tricks and cynical lies
Now show's going on
But I just left the stage
I'm the one I was supposed to be
It never ends,
I hear their whispers.
I feel the stares I’ve seen the reaction.
I let it go, I know the consequence.
Their reasons are just full of fucking ignorance.
If weak minds are filled with judgement,
It’s out of our control.
We know that they will not accept us,
the fearless must endure.
They say we're reckless, we act in haste.
We have bitter minds, but they think they hate.
They say we’re senseless, and self-obsessed.
In their own reflection is the thing they detest.
If weak minds are filled with judgment,
It’s out of our control.
We know that they will not accept us,
the fearless must endure.
And when we try to reach for something,
beyond all that is known.
They hate that we continue forward,
they surrendered long ago.
If fear is for people who try to change for the dreamer,
then the fearless spirit will always find a way.
Hey!
Hey!
Hey!
Hey!
Hey!
Hey!
Who's walking fearless?
If weak minds are filled with judgment,
It’s out of our control.
We know that they will not accept us,
the fearless must endure.
If weak minds are filled with judgment,
It’s out of our control.
We know that they will not accept us,
the fearless must endure.
And then we try to reach for something,
beyond all that is known.
They hate that we continue forward,
I'm scared for war, the smell of blood
Agony rattles make me cry
I feel no hate for my enemy
Why should I kill ?
Why should I stay ?
Mother bring me back home
Mother take me far away
The time has come to take my leave
Don't have a grudge against me
Opportune darkness ... I'm waking up and run
Away in the silent night
Running through meadows and hills
Grass unstained and morning dew
I swear I won't
Come back in the world of steel
Finally my dream came true
Listening to the river flows
Light touch of the wind on the leafs
I escaped from the war claws
Now I will never meet the grief
Full of hazards anyway
Whether I leave or I stay
They'll catch me up
I know lot which waits for me
Death is the price but I'm free
For them I'm a coward, evil comrade
Unfit to be 'cause I've done the choice of life
I'm a deserter
[Choirs :]
Fellonia a suoi fratelli, traditore
La scelta di salvarsi, disertore
Vigliacheria vergognosa, infedelta colpevole
For them I'm a coward, evil comrade
Unfit to be 'cause I've done the choice of life
I’m not angry, I’m just frustrated.
What your hearing is my cynic grin
I don’t know what cracks or snaps but
this attack is part of my relaxing.
As I seethe my words seem understated.
What you’re hearing is my tearing skin
I don’t care what brittle fractures crack if I can
black out and relax.
When I speak my tongue it feels sedated.
My temper tantrum balance is
I don’t know what fuzz is masking
what I say or what I’m asking
See my friend, as you've always stood in fear
You will face the coming fatal stage in a complete loneliness
Do you hope that your beloved is waiting for you
In this holy world you have in mind
Full of promises, dazzling sight
Hold fast greybeard, keep your fate
Don't think it over, you're on the right way
Baseness of this life
Weakness in your arm
In days gone by
Your feats were glorified
But you were enslaved all the same
Just a slave of time
See my friend, as you've always stood in fear
No one can remind how were done all these scars on your back
They still less know how gapping are those in your soul
My friend, in any case your time has come
With deserted funerals
Hold fast greybeard, keep your fate
Don't think it over, you're on the right way
Baseness of this life
Weakness in your arm
In days gone by
Your feats were glorified
But you were enslaved all the same
How can you say try?
Trying’s so tiring. And why do you aspire
to be what you need not be?
All that we need
is never to need more than to be.
down, down, down, have to stay
down, down, down, we belong
down, down, down, we must stay...
Sleep calmly when you
nothing so leave me
be, you have all you need
No one has nothing and nobody’s--have to stay
down, down, down have to stay
down, down, down, we belong
down, down, down, we must stay
down.
Do because we do
Do because we want you to
Do we because you
do because we want you to
You because we do
Do what we want you to
Do what we use
To keep you
down, down down, have to stay
down, down, down, we belong
down, down, down, we must stay
I wake up before morning light
Put on my shoes and tiptoe until I'm outside
Silence and dark all around
I just hear my steps while starin'at the frost on
The ground
A lifetime on the assembly line
Restless, restless
Wrenchin' pieces of human rights
Restless, restless
I wake up before morning light
Just like yesterday and tiptoe until I'm outside
Silence, dark n' frost on the ground
Am I really bend my steps towards the workin'town?
A lifetime on the assembly line
Restless, restless
Wrenchin' pieces of human rights
Restless, restless
Monday: assembly line
Tuesday, it drains my strength
Wednesday, I just feel the void, go on...
Thursday: assembly line, restless
Friday, I go crazy my brain's startin' to faint away
Saturday, I lost my soul...
... Sunday at last...
Am I really bend my steps towards the workin'town?
A lifetime on the assembly line
Restless, restless
Wrenchin' pieces of human rights
You break my balls
Seekin' the truth wantin' to know
Sit down n' don't ask me any question by now
Just let me take you to a trip inside my brain
Please fasten seatbelt you'll know
The story to the end
Twist of fate (so unfair)
Chorus:
Please come on in, pay no attention to the stains
Please let me show you through my brain,
It's a kind of Disneyland
Please take a look to my complete set of remains
Please watch your step, don't trip against
The creepy memories and blanks
It's funny place, do you enjoy the trip my friend?
Hang on: star attraction of the walk
Just let me take you to a trip inside my brain
Please fasten seatbelt you'll
Know the story to the end
Twist of fate (so unfair)
Chorus
Here we are: the far end
If you feel like it my friend, open the door
Open the door my friend
(Come on sweetie, stay on my knee
... isn't that funny? -sniggering-)
Chorus
Did you enjoy the trip my friend?
(So unfair)
You know the story to the end
It’s been life, too sepia
All expenses, so much deeper
Take a sip of old port wine
Feel them out what you design
Reminisce about what we’ve done
And of what’s been what we’ve won
Recall those party nights
Where the highs were higher than high
Oh but come, come
Who can match what we have done?
No nostalgia
Let’s redefine the past
Oh, nostalgia
Let’s redefine the past
Let’s redefine the past now
Crackle up your gramophone
Reel around romantic tones
Sit back in your rocking chair
Warm beneath your gloving(?) pair
Take a sigh of deep content
Tenderly our past is spent
Subtle hints and blatant lies
Exaggerate those high highs
Oh but come, come
Who can match what we have done?
No nostalgia
Let’s redefine the past
Oh, nostalgia
Let’s redefine the past
Let’s redefine the past now
But as the hours get older
And your warm thoughts grow colder
As mystic thoughts get bolder
I know I’m far too sober, far too sober
Sober, sober, sober
And now
You find
The time
You haven’t slept
You, you grasp at song
That'll let you live in memories
Oh, nostalgia
Let’s redefine the past
Oh, nostalgia
Let’s redefine the past
Let’s redefine the past now
Rest around your open fire
So warm and happily tired
Slip out of your leather brogues
Rest the blisters on your toes
Drug over this aching sense
Of painful present tense
Talk as if pathetic highs
Mean that we’ve had worthwhile lives
Awful sight ... among ruins and dust,
In torn dress, my beloved died in pain
Awaiting my hand to take her astray
Endless agony, crying for my guilty absence
Did we deserve such a fate
Now I'll find shelter in my hate
Sweet dreams have gone, my poor lambs among the wolves
Lord of hell,
I'm kneeling in front of you
I need a shell
Get my soul it's yours now
Lord of hell,
Lend me your force and I swear
To serve your realm
I've sensed the end for several weeks
You're right: you'd better leave me now
Be sure I'll call you a bitch
As soon as you'll close the door
My lil' honey
Chorus:
Mirror, mirror on the wall
Mirror, mirror tell me how
Could I get better and reach full growth
How could I get through the thorns
Mirror, mirror on the wall
Have you ever seen a pawn?
Full of regrets, pain n' groans
Keepin'all for his very own
My friends will prove me right, and yours
Will always be siding with you
Be sure you'll shake your hips with lust
When I'll be rolling about in dirt
Chorus
Mirror, mirror on the wall
Did I deserve such a whore?
Would I resolve the doubt with a... BANG
Look at you, crawlin'on the floor
Look at you, cryin'your eyes out
Do you still want to show off now?
Do you still want to pack your bags?
Remember the words from that guy:
"For better or for worse", then try
You got to love me until I die
You got to be always on my side
Chorus:
Forgive me lovin'wife
'Til the end, we're tied
I gashed you to my lasting shame
But realize you're the one to blame
Anything you say happens to make me mad
I'm not such a violent man
Chorus
Please honey, don't go
Please don't leave me
Don't leave me now
Don't refuse or it'll be the last straw
I'm gonna smack you just for show
Cause I kept myself in a cage
Silently wound up n' filled with rage
I've tried to call you on the phone
Nobody back there nobody home
Do it again and I swear my dear
Dirty blood will pour from your nose
... Once again

So many people
People settle down
I want to be part of a small suburban town
I want net curtains to catch the pink of dawn
I want some corduroys with which to mow the lawn
So let's not lie
We're quite plain
And find this life
Of filthy strain
Rather tiresome
And I do dream of
Tranquility
As semi-detachedly
As fate meant me to be
I don't really want a Ford Orion.
So many people
People settle down
Have dinner parties to invite the boss around
I want stone cladding
On my pebbledash
Electric clippers for my middle-class mustache.
So let's not lie
I cannot live within this vile alternative
Squalid style
And I do dream of
Tranquility
As semi-detachedly
As fate meant me to be
I don't really want a Ford Sierra.
So many people
Are pension plan secure
Take yearly holidays
Through 10-day package tours
I want two bathrooms in which to lay my stool
I want some offspring to send to private schools
So let's go straight
I am a snob
and I do hate life with little job in office
And I do dream of
Tranquility
As semi-detachedly
As fate meant me to be
And I don't really want a Ford Grenada.
So many people
People settle down
Why don't we share part of a small suburban town?
Try not to sneer
Please suffocate your scorn
October the 13th, we're going to the front
My dear I wish I was at home with you
This morning comrades of mine said we can begin to crow
Dirty war's over yet, just a matter of days
Walking in the mud all day, I can hear guns and distant shouts
I have no thought but for you and the cursed day I had to leave
Letter for an angel
Your words won't be carried across the skies
Letter for an angel
My love wait me for some days
On my return, in a while I hope
I'm eager to find you on my way
For a life of peace and joy
Letter for an angel
[Choirs :]
Santa Maria, dale tua benevolenza
Sunday November the 1st we got bad news from the front
We'll never finish with it, shall you still love me ?
Yesterday I had a dream of white lace and deep velvet
I have no thought but for you and the holy day we'll marry
Letter for an angel
Your words won't be carried across the skies
Letter for an angel
[Choirs :]
Santa Maria, dale tua benevolenza
Tragico destino, postuma lettera, cattivo presagio
I've gone for so many days
On my return, who can really know
If you'll be awaiting on my way
For that life of peace and joy
Morning has come, a ray of light
Is coming through the white curtain
His naked body's lying on the tiles
Open eyes, dry blood and tears
Across the deep lines on his face
But no matter, at least death has come
He was the victim of your vice
Madness, cowardice
The devil took his soul and let his body crawl
Across the infinite sands of madness
Let me tell you the story of that man
Beyond the horizon of the place we lived when we were young
In a world of magnets and miracles
Our thoughts strayed constantly and without boundary
The ringing of the division bell had begun
Along the Long Road and on down the Causeway
Do they still meet there by the Cut
There was a ragged band that followed in our footsteps
Running before time took our dreams away
Leaving the myriad small creatures trying to tie us to the ground
To a life consumed by slow decay
The grass was greener
The light was brighter
With friends surrounded
The night of wonder
Looking beyond the embers of bridges glowing behind us
To a glimpse of how green it was on the other side
Steps taken forwards but sleepwalking back again
Dragged by the force of some inner tide
At a higher altitude with flag unfurled
We reached the dizzy heights of that dreamed of world
Encumbered forever by desire and ambition
There's a hunger still unsatisfied
Our weary eyes still stray to the horizon
Though down this road we've been so many times
The grass was greener
The light was brighter
The taste was sweeter
The nights of wonder
With friends surrounded
The dawn mist glowing
The water flowing
The endless river
Please give it away, confess once for all
Good pretending but useless to lie,
Understanding as I'm burnin'inside
Please give it away, from who was thar call?
Is he well-built, brighter than I am?
Did he touch you, have you been at bed?
Chorus:
Please give it away, and bring me down
Bring me down it's only right
Please give it away, is he slim n'tall?
Is he well-built, brighter than I am?
Did he touch you, have you been at bed?
If you tell me there's another guy / If you tell me that you'd like to try
If you tell me that I'm not the first: If you recognized you did me dirt
If you let me see under the couch
Hidden here, hidden there, back in the wardrobe
I see that you're scared but you're lyin
Don't try to fuck around
I see clear and if I'm right
I'm sure I'll lose my grip
Without you, fuckin'slut, life doesn't make any sense
I'll kill myself
When I was in my final years of being a
schoolboy, I had a friend who,
though not the most
intellectual of teenagers was
still quite charming.
We enjoyed pissing away
our educational opportunities together
in the house
left empty during school hours by his
careless parents.
Once avoiding a
particularly
dismal
stretch of mathematics,
I was admitted to this
haven of sloth and ignorance, only
to disturb a vivid argument he was
engaged in with a girl,
now his wife,
he was engaged to.
with a waning sense of calm, was
saying, it has,
dear. Of course it has
While she
was retorting in the not -so-
affected tones of a retard:
Unh!
Stupid!
No it
hasn’t!
Although perplexed and
intrigued, it was soon
apparent that I was not to be invited
to join them in their verbal
trench warfare.
For ten minutes they simply repeated their
statements, stressing
them slightly differently each time:
Yes it has. No it hasn’t.
Yes it has. No it hasn’t.
Yes it has. No it hasn’t.
Etcetera,
etcetera.
I was left to
watch, not daring to interfere,
with no idea of what it
was that may or may not have
something that was or was
not, I just did not
know.
Eventually a point of
desperation seemed to be
reached. And he
sighed.
You really believe that it hasn’t?
Aha! Absolutely.Aha.
Concentration twisted his sweaty brow.
Okay then.
If the moon
has got no
gravity,
how can the spacemen
stick
it then?
Unh!
Stupid!
Stupid!
The spacemen stick to the moon
because, uh,
they wear, uh,
GARAVURGHTY BUTES!
GARAVURGHTY BUTES!
Look at that jerk hangin'on his phone
Look at that gay, ridiculous he's
Roaming around
Look at that junkie with exhausted veins
Look at the nigger, released n'free from
His chains
Look at that mess, look at all these
Stains
Chorus:
Lookin'down from my window to the square
I enjoy the wally's fair
I'd like to join them but I don't even dare
Look at that bitch, showin'off her tits
I'm gonna grab her ass n'fuck until I break her hips
Look at her man, proud as a peacock, shinin'bright
Look at their outward bliss
The way they display simple smile
From here I see any kind of crap
Chorus
I won't rise to fame nor catch the girls
I'm out of touch, don't play the game
I withdraw to new positions
... The foetal one in such a case
I made you come
But But I don’t resole
I see you longing
for your romantic memories.
My patience cannot last
As I see you recreate the dunning(?) of your past
as caricatures to emulate.
Oh, I take my sweet little minutes
I cannot recall others
I throw my guts in buckets
As I try to lose I try to
I take my shots in dribbles
I sniff in baked soda
I like to stroke my
As I try to lose exaggeration.
To bloom
I am a twisted memory
who does not what he’s done
and is not what he used to be.
Another one
is dreaming
of someone who is gone
I’m sorry, my dear.
I know it may hurt, my dear.
Oh, but I must, my dear
divorce this dead love, my dear.
I feel quite cold
now that I know
all your features, all your charms
just as if they were my own.
I feel quite bored
now that we’ve shared
every secret, every thought,
every fear and every fault.
I’m divorcing my dear
only for you, my dear
so you can become my dear
just like my old dear, dear.
I feel quite cold
now that I know
all your features, all your charms
just as if they were my own.
I feel quite bored
now that we’ve shared
every secret, every thought,
Old boys seek a man
And the men marry women
Who the girls that you’d think the boys are the men
they’re married to
Forget that the girls are the boys and that women are
the same as the men
For together they grow old
Everybody old
Whoa, ho, old
Everybody old
Every cat that eats a mouse that is fed on the rubbish
While the cat on the flat has snack in an ever-turning
ring that rotates through the food
And the bellies on line reach the moon
For together they grow old
Everybody old
Oh, ho, old
Everybody old
Every time that a mother and a father have an argument
The two of you could what they do who as the privilege
Of use as the aura of the few who fortunately love to
be doing what they do
As together they grow old
Everybody old
Oh, ho, old
Everybody old
Faded rose in the funeral drum of daddy's grave
Bitter tears falling on the stone of daddy's grave
Mother said he will always watch over me
Mother said he will cut me off from cruel fate
She said he sits at the right of the lord
And always feels proud of me
Your life was vain
Dim recollection of you ...
Nothing remains
But golden letters on your cross
[Choirs :]
Nessuno se ne ricordera
Nessuno te ne ringraziera
As the bell's ringing victory, in pain we pray
As the crowd's singing the end of war in pain we pray
Mother said he will always watch over me
Mother said he will cut me off from cruel fate
She said he sits at the right of the lord
And always feels proud of me
Your life was vain
Dim recollection of you ...
Nothing remains
But golden letters on your cross
[Choirs :]
Nessuno se ne ricordera
Suppose you’re sick of being dull,
distraught that you may not be special.
There’s a way you can transform
[Your nuclide cells of brandy wall?]
into a charming social storm
by hearing words of wise advice that:
Everybody loves a loony!
Loonies are so bad.
Everybody loves a loony.
Loonies are so mad.
Loonies have so much attention,
they must intrigue where you’re ignored.
People even think they’re good at--
Now you’ve realized your state
as disregarded social castrate,
you yearn the golden glare of
conversational
risen so the mob can stare
by hearing words of wise advice:
Everybody loves a loony!
Loonies are so bad.
Everybody loves a loony.
Loonies are so mad.
Loonies have so much attention,
they must intrigue while you’re ignored.
People even think they’ve got big--
But if you’re scared of being mentally unwell,
just you relax, there’s no need for a padded cell
To be loopy, you don’t need to break your brain
The trick is to remain inane while seeming so insane
Everybody loves a loony
Everybody loves a loony.
Everybody loves a loony...
Are you smug that you are plain
but dropped the tedium and gained
what you believe to be a charm
and others saw a (hectic?) phony
irritating wacky smarm
from this hearing wise advice that:
Everybody loathes a loony.
Everyone knows that!
Everybody loathes a loony.
Loonies are such pratts.
Looneys have so much attention,
they irritate, can’t be ignored.
Loonies leave you--
I got the courage to fuck with hell
Goin'through the gears I rave
It's blowing hard through the windows
And through my mind
All around scenery's flashing by
Nothing left but wind in the sails
Nothing left but white rage under the veil
Chorus:
To crash, cleaning up from stains
To crash my way through the pain
My engine's roaring, wheel's going mad
Takin'me far away, miles away
Empty bottles clinkin'under the seats
I'm gettin'high but who enven cares?
I'd rather let it beyond any control
Chorus
As a crazy falcon divin'onto it's prey
As an idiotic Christ, laughing while people pray
As the dashboard covered with blood
Right in front of me
Chorus
A new road's open, better this way
Lying alone in this cold and quiet room
I can hear their whispers now
I can sense it: A turn is coming on
Lying alone in this cold and quiet room
The door is silently opening
I can sense it: A turn is coming on
Wincing faces, racked by pain
They come to me as I fall asleep
Climbing the stairs, to hide is vain
They will get me in this night so deep
Exhausted veins
Bloody drugs every day
Their needles in my brain
They gave me one more jab supposed to relieve all that pain
I tried to get away
To escape from that place
But my own legs betray me leaving body on that bed
Wincing faces, in front of me
They've come to me and I don't dare
To give that fight for eternity
My dear I've heard a piece of bad news
Events are in all the dailies
And mum is crying her eyes out
All the guys are called up at the town square
- as I will ... I have to go off to the war
My dear don't cry, don't be frightened
I won't follow the way of my dad
And I won't live apart from you
They said that we'll come back in a few days
but for the moment I have to go off to the war
This is the final stage before delight and joy
A kind of devil trial to make us enjoy
All these peaceful nights interlaced, living our carefree lives
I'll be back to you and that day, you will be my wife
I feel a sense of disgust for my insane peers
Nothing is very much fun, day follows upon day
Year follows upon year
Feeling alone in the crowd, I'd rather close myself
Rot away in my shell
I just have to put up with it
But I cannot share that space with them
Cannot bear their stares
Have mercy: Just give me a hand as I'm down,
Hangin'on and waiting for the dawn
Of an other day, bright and clear
Without distress, painful headaches
It makes me wonder but my dreams have gone
In darker skies
Slumped in my armchair I rave, I'd rather close myself
Rot away in my shell
Nothing is very much fun, day follows upon day
Year follows upon year
I just have to put up with it
But I cannot share that space with them
Or even bear their stares
Have mercy: Just give me a hand as I'm down,
Hangin'on and waiting for the dawn
Of an other day, bright and clear
Without distress, painful headaches
It makes me wonder but my dreams have gone
In darker skies
No way out this time. Could just wait for the dawn.
I hold back, no more cries
I dig your hole under moonlight
So much fear in these eyes
I'll never forget that sight
Turn of my life, burying my bride
Madness filled my brain
Obsession to settle the score
Turn of my life, hunting their vice
Madness wash my stains
With all blood that I make flow
Ever since, a wandering beast
No mercy, I've lost my sight
Have I become so blind ?
Ever since, a cold murderer
Cruelty has become my guide
Have I become so blind ?
Forgiveness in no wise
Hate and tears remain inside
Turn of my life, burying my bride
Madness filled my brain
Obsession to settle the score
Ever since, a wandering beast
No mercy, I've lost my sight
Have I become so blind ?
Ever since, a cold murderer
Cruelty has become my guide
Autumn morning
On the tiles he's lying
Unlamented
No friend no relative
A good riddance
That cold murderer
Devil incarnate
Thank goodness he's gone
He's gone
Nobody wonders why
Even so
His sins were justified
No one knows, he was just a
Soft - hearted guy
Pleasant n' shy
No shell around and some riches inside
Panting victim of a usual tragedy
Soft - hearted guy
Wandering why
Such a cruel damnation
That was no more than a usual tragedy
The heaven.. a lie.. I've seen no god nor light
Autumn morning
On the tiles he's lying
Unlamented
Wounded to death
In his soul so frail
He turned into wild beast
Thank goodness he's gone
Nobody wonders why
Even so
His sins were justified
No one knows, he was just a
Soft - hearted guy
Pleasant n' shy
No shell around and some riches inside
Panting victim of a usual tragedy
Soft - hearted guy
Wandering why
Such a cruel damnation
Sweetness of velvet, toys around my bed
Put on probation but don't really care
At my call, you rushed up to see me
When darkness came I felt like naked worm
Impending danger as you closed the door
A presence around, malicious appearance
I cut off the light and hold tight the sheets
Bright eyes are still staring me
But my cries are vain
No complain could make you up by now
Watch over me
Stay with babe until morning comes
Watch over me
Keep babe in secure and warm
Now time has come to break these tender ties
Free as a bird but don't really care
At my call, the walls reverberate
When darkness comes I feel like naked worm
Impending danger and nightmarish set
In which I'll live without you for evermore
I cut off the light and hold tight the sheets
Bright eyes are still staring me
But my cries are vain
No complain could make you up by now
Watch over me
Stay with babe until morning comes
Watch over me
Keep babe in secure and warm
