In its original Biblical form, "Dvora" (דבורה) is a common female name in contemporary Israel, including:
Deborah Ann "Debbie" Gibson (born August 31, 1970) is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, and actress. In 1988 she was pronounced the youngest artist to write, produce, and perform a #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100, with her song "Foolish Beat" and she remains the youngest female to write, record, and perform a #1 single. She has gone on to starring roles on Broadway and touring musicals, as well as independent film and television work. She continues to record, and reached the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart as high as #24 during 2006 in a duet with Jordan Knight titled "Say Goodbye". In 2010, the album Ms. Vocalist, from Sony Japan was Top 10 on the Japanese Billboard chart and the first single from the album, “I Love You”, hit #1.
Debbie Gibson was born in Brooklyn, New York, the third daughter of four for Diane and Joseph Gibson. She grew up in the Long Island suburb of Merrick and was raised Catholic. At the age of five, she began performing in community theater with her sisters Karen, Michele, and Denise, and cousin T.J Normandin and wrote her first song, "Make Sure You Know Your Classroom". At age eight, she sang in the children's chorus at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York. She began playing the ukulele and taking piano lessons soon after, including with American pianist Morton Estrin. She said that her household was probably the only one where bystanders would hear kids fighting over piano playing time.
Andre Louis Hicks (July 5, 1970 – November 1, 2004), better known by his stage name Mac Dre, was an American rapper, and the initial founder of Thizz Entertainment, and the now defunct Romp Productions.
Andre Hicks was born in Oakland, California and moved to Vallejo at a young age. In the early 1980s, Hicks began his rap career under the stage name "Mac Dre", and by the middle of the 1990s his music had gained widespread popularity throughout the Bay Area thanks in part to the independent music distributor: . He started robing pizza parlors in vallejo California at the age of 25
Mac Dre recorded his first three albums between 1989 and 1991. In 1992 Mac Dre was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery. At the time Hicks owned the record label, Romp Productions. His many references to "Romper Room" in his songs, bore a similarity the "Romper Room Gang", a group of robbers who had been victimizing banks and pizza parlors in Vallejo.[citation needed] Following allegations by authorities about his membership in the gang, Hicks was sentenced to five years in prison. He refused a deal offered by law enforcement authorities that would have required him to inform on other gang members.
Radio operator to the tower
Debbie's comin' in for a landing
Oh put your head between your knees
Caused by the vibrations of love
They're about to shake me to pieces
(chorus)
Shell-shocked supersonic blonde
Hyperphonic female
Dark sunglasses on
Everyone is here to see
Her all-girl rock band
Vortex pulls me in
The vortex spits me out
Jet-eyed glitter child strappin' on a gold guitar
We witness the ultrasonic imploding exitation
Bodies exhausted in total elation
chorus
Oh Debbie
Queen of the underground
Carrying her gold guitar
The show is over
My downtown baby is headin' home
Singing a song
She's walkin' alone
She walking down the block
Now she's comin' my way
As our hearts and our dark sunglasses lock
chorus
Every day-every day
Just a little bit wilder
Every day-every day
Just a little bit tighter
Every day-every day
Just a little bit wilder
Every day-every day
Just a little bit tighter

Debbie was a lesbian yesterday
Woe, oh, oh, ay, ay
Fighting all the way her mother's hair to gray
And the clock strikes S E X with the girlfriend next
We can watch from our window like a sick insect
I get chills through my spine when I see her in over time
Debbie went to Broadway yesterday
Woe, oh, oh, ay, ay
Twisting every boy toys neck all day
Like a pinprick right through the heart they have no chance
Like a freak in a brothel wanting cheap romance
She wore black round the eyes just to scare all the normal guys
Debbie's changing faces everyday until she noticed me
With an infectious kiss of jealousy
She's making eyes at me
Debbie was a lesbian yesterday
Woe, oh, oh, ay, ay
Changing with the times this phase won't stay
And the clock strikes Y E S with complete distress
Phoney lovely now cause she's my sick princess
I can tell she's the one
I never thought depression so much fun
Debbie's changing faces everyday until she noticed me
With an infectious kiss of jealousy
She's making eyes at me
Debbie was a lesbian yesterday
Woe, oh, oh, ay, ay
Fighting all the way her mother's hair to gray
And the clock strikes S E X with the girlfriend next

Debbie's changing faces everyday until she noticed me

Debbie your the one that I'm thinkin' of
You got me up every night
The way you bake a cake the way your booty shakes
Its not wrong but it cant be right
Oh Debbie
Debbie
Debbie on my mind
Oh Debbie
Debbie
Debbie all the time
Oh come to me sweet Debbie because I could do you well
Its like a symphony when your next to me but with out you its a living hell
Oh Debbie in the morning time and Debbie in the afternoon
Oh Debbie your the one for me and I'm the one for you
(The way you bat your eye the way you make me cry)
(Debbie I hope I can see you soon)
There was a time when home was home
Things couldn磘 come to be alone
Weather was fine and moods were high
Some in the distance tried to fly
But suddenly a storm did wake
Woke up with pain - too much to take
The ashes fly and fruits are bruised
We can磘 deny - something we would use
Debbie wants to go far away
Far away from home, no rules to break
Debbie wants to know how the angels fly
Debbie wants to live and rest a while
And now she磗 gone away, her parents cry
And if they only could they would retry
But debbie she has learned how angels fly
She left her life and died, but who knows why
hey debbie,
how you been? its me Mary Jane.
you know, your only daughter; the one you left in pain.
the one you left over the heroin and cocaine, and its
been really hard for me to come see you again
and i don't even know if Im hurt, or if I'm mad...
oh, and by the way, have you seen or heard from dad?
I think he's doing good he's living with his new wife.
I heard she keeps him clean and I guess she treats him
right.
and I know how pop-pop died really must have hurt you,
cancer took the only father both of us ever knew.
and its been really hard on grandma, we don't speak any
longer; she disowned me too, told me I was just like my
mother.
and I know that being a teenage mom wasn"t that
appealing, but I can still remember the sun you painted
on my ceiling.
now Im an artist too except I do it for the healing; to
take away this heartache and this misery Im feeling.
AND IVE GROWN TIRED OF BEING ALONE
LORD I KNOW
STARRY EYES CLOSE
AND MOMMA WHY WONT YOU EVER COME HOME
STARRY EYES CLOSE
They say that you and I, we share the same traits...
the same pretty eyes, they say they see you in my face.
same Cybil moods, same wicked ways, same addictions,
except you took it to the vein.
I was always afraid of you, the track marks on your
arms.
and you were always passing out and taking me to bars.
or you left me alone, or you left me in the car, now Im
all alone and you left me with these scars!
My sleep is filled with nightmares about the life you
chose.
were you alone in that apartment, did you really
overdose?
I wonder, could I have stopped it, did you even leave a
note?
I didn't even know you lived a mile from my home!
that afternoon I heard you died I thought it was a
joke;
I didn't know that you were sick, or that you had had a
stroke.
I would have went to see you at least we could have
spoke.
why'd you have to die so young you were just 33 years
old!!
AND IVE GROWN TIRED OF BEING ALONE
LORD I KNOW
STARRY EYES CLOSE
AND MOMMA WHY WONT YOU EVER COME HOME
STARRY EYES CLOSE
Well here I am momma, standing at your grave.
lay my head down on the marble just to ease the pain.
I used to come here all the time and pray that you were
saved; get on my knees close my eyes and ask the lord
for strength.
and I understand cause I got my own set of sins, but it
makes me sad to think how WEAK you really must of been.
you had a choice between your only child and heroin,
and it was heroin that won the battle in the end?
and not a day goes by I don't think about what could
have been, but in the end I'm at your grave fighting
tears again.
I miss you bad as fuck, my throat keeps tightening up,
do you even remember I have a birthday coming up?
Until the day...not a day goes by that you don't walk
with me.
there's so many things I wanna say but I guess its just
to late,
