Plot
Milton Smythe is unable to accept the unexpected death of his dearly beloved wife. Although she no longer moves or speaks, at least not out loud, Milton still hears her, he is determined to stay together. He knows, at least on some level, that his wife's rapidly deteriorating condition is becoming difficult to conceal and his efforts to keep things quiet are not going too smoothly. The pushy landlady forces her way into the apartment at the worst time, and his suspicious, foul mouthed sister-in-law keeps calling, getting more and more abusive. Milt's mounting anxiety, guilt and paranoia are causing him to experience hallucinations. Milton feels that he is being watched, and he is... When Milton's nosy neighbor, Mrs. Hirsch calls Detective Rind, it takes a lot of pestering to get any response. Detective Cliff Rind is a man who cares deeply about keeping his job free of complications. Rind and his rookie partner leisurely begin their investigation over coffee and donuts. Finally, when all options to waste time have been exhausted, they are forced into lukewarm pursuit. As Milton prepares to celebrate his anniversary, things are coming to a head. His sister-in-law Grace is on her way over, so are the police, with the snoopy neighbor in tow. Milton's hallucinations are becoming more extreme. All parties are converging. What will happen when they all come together? Most importantly, will Milton make it to the beach for the all-important final celebration which will ensure that he and his wife can stay together forever?
He loved her more than life itself.

The People Called Them Heroes. The F.B.I. Called Them Public Enemy Number One.
From the director of "New Jack City" and "Posse"
Bobby Seale: We not anti-white, we anti-oppression! You can't fight racism with racism.
Tyrone: Uh, Alma is it? We don't...::Alma: What? I'm black ain't I, I wanna help my community right or do you think oppression ends with that thing dangling between your legs?::Tyrone: But...::Alma: But nothing! We want full-fledged membership in the Black Panther Party and none of that alright sugar as long as you play the background, rubbing my feet, getting my drink bullshit, you dig?
Bobby Seale: Brother Malcolm said we should stop sangin' and start swangin'.
Black cop: You know you can't help but admire those young Brothers, they do alot of good in their communities.::Pruitt: You ever hear about the common good, the United States of America is more than a simple collection of ghettoes, this country was built on Capitalism and Democracy, and in a Democracy, the Majority rules, we are a Minority unless we integrate, fully!::Black cop: Whose side are you on? Brother::Pruitt: No! Whose side are you on? Officer
Rodgers: [a Black FBI agent is being introduced] Gentleman, this is Pruitt, he'll be working with us from here on in.::Brimmer: But isn't he...::Pruitt: Special People for Special Problems::Brimmer: Sorry I didn't know that the FBI had...::Pruitt: Obviously there are many things that you don't know, should we just get to the point, the Black Panthers have united with other organizations sponsored by the communists to undermine our efforts in Vietnam. In the opinion of Mr. Hoover, the Black Panther Party is Public Enemy Number One. They have quite simply guaranteed their own extinction.
Nervous cop: [Panthers approach Oakland Cops beating a man outside a night club with a large crowd observing] So uh Huey, So what's your telephone number?::Huey Newton: I confirmed with you my address that's all I'm required by California law, we ain't broken no laws!::Nervous cop: Then what are you doing with that gun?::Huey Newton: Well what are you doing with yours?::Nervous cop: Let me see that rifle son!::Huey Newton: No! This is my private property! According to California Law, we have a constitutional right to bear arms!::Grove Street cop: [to Crowd intrigued by Panthers] Move Along, go about your business::Huey Newton: Wait Wait Wait, Brothers and Sisters, No, you ain't gotta go nowhere, this is your business, stay right here! The law states as long as you are standing a reasonable distance, that's eight to ten feet to be exact, you have the right to observe the police carrying out their duties, and from what I can see, you are standing twenty two feet away from this man! So Brothers ain't no law being broken!::Bobby Seale: That's right, you stay right where you are, you ain't got to go nowhere!::Nervous cop: Is that gun loaded BOY?::Huey Newton: Fish and Game law clearly states it is unlawful to carry a live round of ammunition in a chamber of a shotgun or rifle in a vehicle PIG!::Grove Street cop: [Angrily, as crowd cheers on Panthers] Refer to him as OFFICER!::Bobby Seale: Then don't you refer to him as BOY!::Nervous cop: Well, is it loaded?::Huey Newton: I'd tell you Officer it wasn't, but now it is! [Panthers cock guns and approach officers with crowd cheering]::Nervous cop: Now for the last time boy, what do those guns mean?::Huey Newton: They mean PIG that the Black Panther Party declares you try to brutalize our community, you try to take our weapons, we'll shoot you! [Police look around and then retreat to Patrol Cars as crowd cheers on Panthers]
Cy: [to White Girls looking for drugs] Every Black man you lay eyes on ain't a dope dealer

Alfred Eaton: Glad to see you dried off.::Sandy Duffy: Thank you very much for fishing me out of the pond.::Alfred Eaton: My pleasure.::Creighton Duffy: And?::Sandy Duffy: And - Oh, yes. And it's a good thing I wasn't any smaller or you'd have had to throw me back.
Alfred Eaton: Incidentally, just where did you wear that little number until 2:00 this morning?::Mary St. John: I wore this little number to the Mona Lisa. [She takes his champagne glass that he had been drinking from] Would you unzip me in the back, please?::Alfred Eaton: I thought Sage didn't like that place anymore.::Mary St. John: Oh, Sage wasn't along. She stayed home with a bad tooth or something.::Alfred Eaton: What, just you and her husband?::Mary St. John: Just little old us.::Alfred Eaton: Can't you do any better than that?::Mary St. John: As a matter of fact, I could have, but unfortunately he had another date, with the Dingham Report.::Alfred Eaton: Dunham.::Mary St. John: Oh, so sorry, Dunham
Mary St. John: The trouble with this company is it's run by a lot of old men.
Sam Eaton: You've put on a couple of pounds.::Alfred Eaton: Soft living in the navy.
Mary St. John: If you're trying to annoy me, Mr. Eaton, you're succeeding.::Alfred Eaton: Would you like to go and cry or something?::Mary St. John: No, but I wouldn't mind if you faded into the sunset.
Mary St. John: Why didn't you bestow this honor on some other girl out there?::Alfred Eaton: Because I rather liked the view from the terrace. Then I saw you and I liked the view even more.::Mary St. John: You've touched me deeply.::Alfred Eaton: But not in the right places.
[Alfred is coldly welcomed home by his father]::Sam Eaton: How was the war?::Alfred Eaton: Okay I guess. We won it.
Martha Eaton: I have no heroes, only some people I love.
Alfred Eaton: What if I don't want to save my marriage?::James Duncan MacHardie: Then we've failed. Then you'll have failed, Eaton. Divorce is a damnable thing. It violates good order. It's a threat to good order.::Alfred Eaton: Isn't it just possible that infidelity might be grounds for a divorce?::James Duncan MacHardie: There are no grounds for divorce. And if you want my personal theology, infidelity is the lesser sin. I will do anything in my power to prevent a divorce.::Alfred Eaton: Including condoning infidelity?::James Duncan MacHardie: I consider your word "condone" disrespectful. I "condone" none of it. The problem of infidelity is between a husband, and wife, and God. The problem of divorce concerns the whole of civilization. What is marriage? An exchange of vows, a contract. It is my duty to myself and to any man who is working for me that he honor all his contracts. When you came here you found out that we always honor our word, even if it means taking the loss. This is the first opportunity you've had of putting yourself to our test.::Alfred Eaton: And if I don't choose to meet your test?::James Duncan MacHardie: You've worked hard and well, Eaton. You have a fine hard-earned record with us. You can't afford to throw that away.::Alfred Eaton: With all due respect, sir, I can afford to do as I please.::James Duncan MacHardie: And I say with all due respect that you can afford nothing of the kind.
Alfred Eaton: First he is going to look us over to find out whether we're sufficiently respectable. Then he is going to look me over to find out whether my halo's bright enough to qualify me for one of those desks of his at number 25 Wall Street. An aging fortress of banking integrity.

Acid, heroin, coke lsd, valium,
Pyramid, crack, crystal meth,
Cocaine, mescaline, smack
Alcohol, xanex, mepragan,
Speed, heart attack i can
Be what you are why can't
The road to hell is paved
with good intentions.
That's the path that brought me here.
You sell your soul for roles you take and
then you have to look into the mirror.
So feed us cancer. Give us drugs.
Sell us half-ass educations so we can pick
a job to pay the rent.
Forget your dreams and
what they may have meant
to you in your youth.
Find a bride and raise the kids.
Teach them from mistakes that you have made.
Are we predestined or just well trained?
Invent a god and place the blame for all
this hurt you feel. And on,
and so on. It feels sometimes
so scripted like your life is out of your hands.
A fixed lottery we'll never win.
Not everybody wants to be the angry one
to sacrifice and make a change,
but everybody wants to find a better way.
I search for that for you.
These things that you love will leave.
We'll bury friends and family.
With these lonely feelings I think of you.
In my selfishness I waste away.
Act your age and be a man.
With these lonely feelings I think of you.
And I brace myself.
And it breaks my heart to see
you do this all by yourself.
I've sworn so many times
this year I'll turn things around.
Don't ever let your daughter love
a passionate man, because I hate
myself for missing all the times
Refrain
Refrain (x2)
Si mal est fait
Elle ne pourra jamais leur céder
As-tu senti son regard trembler
Elle devient si faible et si fragile
a un sabiendo que es la unica
manera de ser libre o
otra vez de estos sentimientos
de esta rabia seca
que me asen daño
mas simple que ayer
perdonar perdonar y olvidar
perdonar perdonar olvidar
la vida se vive una vez
y se van los años mas
y pasan?...
cuantos años del pasado
y se vuelve pisadas
y se enferma el espiritu
el corazon y el mundo
uhuhuhuhuh
y Que dificil se me ase perdonar
a un sabiendo que es la unica
manera de ser libre o
otra vez de estos sentimientos
de esta rabia siega
que me asen daño
mas libre que ayer
perdonar perdonar y olvidar
perdonar perdonar olvidar
la vida se vive una vez
y se van los años mas
y falta el?...
cuantos años del pasado
y se vuelve pisadas
y que enferma el espiritu
