An intimate relationship is a particularly close interpersonal relationship that involves physical or emotional intimacy. Physical intimacy is characterized by romantic or passionate love and attachment, or sexual activity. The term is also sometimes used euphemistically for a sexual relationship. Intimate relationships play a central role in the overall human experience. Humans have a general desire to belong and to love which is usually satisfied within an intimate relationship. Intimate relationships involve the physical and sexual attraction by one person to another, liking and loving, romantic feelings and sexual relationships, as well as the seeking of a mate and emotional and personal support of each other. Intimate relationships provide a social network for people that provide strong emotional attachments, and fulfill our universal need of belonging and the need to be cared for.
Intimacy generally refers to the feeling of being in a close personal association and belonging together. It is a familiar and very close affective connection with another as a result of a bond that is formed through knowledge and experience of the other. Genuine intimacy in human relationships requires dialogue, transparency, vulnerability and reciprocity. The verb "intimate" means "to state or make known". The activity of intimating (making known) underpins the meanings of "intimate" when used as a noun and adjective. The noun "intimate" means a person with whom one has a particularly close relationship. This was clarified by Dalton (1959) who discusses how anthropologists and ethnographic researchers access "inside information" from within a particular cultural setting by establishing networks of intimates capable (and willing) to provide information unobtainable through formal channels. The adjective, "intimate" indicates detailed knowledge of a thing or person (e.g. "an intimate knowledge of engineering" and "an intimate relationship between two people").

Oprah Winfrey (born Orpah Gail Winfrey; January 29, 1954) is an American media proprietor, talk show host, actress, producer, and philanthropist. Winfrey is best known for her self-titled, multi-award-winning talk show, which has become the highest-rated program of its kind in history and was nationally syndicated from 1986 to 2011. She has been ranked the richest African-American of the 20th century, the greatest black philanthropist in American history, and was for a time the world's only black billionaire. She is also, according to some assessments, the most influential woman in the world.
Winfrey was born into poverty in rural Mississippi to a teenage single mother and later raised in an inner-city Milwaukee neighborhood. She experienced considerable hardship during her childhood, claiming to be raped at age nine and becoming pregnant at 14; her son died in infancy. Sent to live with the man she calls her father, a barber in Tennessee, Winfrey landed a job in radio while still in high school and began co-anchoring the local evening news at the age of 19. Her emotional ad-lib delivery eventually got her transferred to the daytime-talk-show arena, and after boosting a third-rated local Chicago talk show to first place, she launched her own production company and became internationally syndicated.
Steve Cole (born 17 August 1971) is an American tenor saxophonist who has released five albums starting in the late 1990s throughout the 2000s. Most of his albums have been well-received, earning him several awards. He is also a professor/adviser of music business at Columbia College Chicago.
Cole was born in Chicago, Illinois and began to play music at a young age. At first, he trained classically, following in his father's footsteps with the clarinet before switching to the saxophone in high school. While at Northwestern University, he studied classical saxophone before changing his field to economics, eventually earning an MBA from The University of Chicago. After leaving school, Cole returned his focus to music; in particular, jazz.
In a 2003 interview with JazzNation, Cole describes how he started his career:
"I started playing pop music, R&B, be-bop, all that stuff, playing clubs in Chicago until 4 o’clock in the morning for many years. You know, just doing that kind of thing, then started doing some commercial music, radio and TV stuff. Then I started thinking about getting in to some other types of music. I met some great people here in Chicago, Brian Culbertson, a guy named Bob Mamet, an Atlantic Records recording artist, a while ago, and started getting on the road and playing as a side man for those guys and eventually was able to do it on my own."
Heidi Baker (born 1959) is a Christian missionary and with her husband Rolland co-founder of IRIS Ministries and the author of several books.
With her husband Rolland, Heidi founded IRIS Ministries in 1980, a non-profit Christian ministry dedicated to Jesus and service, especially among the poor. After twelve years ministering in Asia, they left in 1992 to do their PhD's at King's College London, UK. In 1995 they started a new ministry to the poor and homeless children in Mozambique. Beginning with nothing, within a matter of months they were given a dilapidated orphanage in Maputo with 80 children. From there, the ministry has expanded to include well-drilling, free health clinics that service the poor and sick, feeding programs, primary and secondary schools, cottage industries and 5000 churches in Mozambique and a total of over 8,000 churches in over 20 nations. There are multiple 'bases' with Bible schools, as well as community outreaches and top-ranked public schools. In September 2008 Iris Ministries started a well digging project in Northern Mozambique.. Their ministry is known for its reports of miracles, and in September 2010 the Southern Medical Journal published an article presenting evidence of "significant improvements" in auditory and visual function among subjects exhibiting impairment before receiving prayer from the ministry.
Last night before you fell asleep
You whispered something to me
Was it just a dream
I'm gonna listen to you close
Coz your goodnight kiss
Felt like a ghost
What are you trying to say to me?
What are you trying to say?
Everybody's searching for intimacy
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Everybody's hurting for intimacy
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Hey yeah, yeah, yeah
We come into this world alone
From the heart of darkness
The infinite unknown
We're only here a little while
And I feel safe and warm
When I see your smile
Baby don't move away from me
Baby don't pull away
Everybody's searching for intimacy
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Everybody's hurting for intimacy
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Remember when you were a child
And your momma would hold you in her arms
And rock you to sleep
Now darling there's just you and I
Let's give each other everything, baby baby...
Everybody's searching for intimacy
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Everybody's hurting for intimacy
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Baby come and lay down next to me...
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Everybody's searching for intimacy
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Hey yeah, yeah yeah yeah
Fade Out
Last night before you fell asleep
You whispered something to me
Was it just a dream
I'm gonna listen to you close
Coz your goodnight kiss
Felt like a ghost
What are you trying to say to me
What are you trying to say
Everybody's searching for intimacy
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Everybody's hurting for intimacy
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Hey yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
We come into this world alone
From the heart of darkness
The infinite unknown
We're only here a little while

One thing my heart is set upon
One thing that I would ask
To know You, Lord, as close as one
Could hope to on this earth
Intimacy
O Jesus, intimacy
My treasure will be, O Jesus
Your intimacy
To look upon Your beauty, Lord
Your glory and Your heart
To know You close, and closer still
Wach day upon this earth
Lord, since the day I saw You first
My soul was satisfied
And yet because I see in part
One thing my heart is set upon
One thing that I would ask
To know You, Lord, as close as one
Could hope to on this earth
Intimacy
O Jesus, intimacy
My treasure will be, O Jesus
Your intimacy
To look upon Your beauty, Lord
Your glory and Your heart
To know You close, and closer still
Wach day upon this earth
Lord, since the day I saw You first
My soul was satisfied
And yet because I see in part
Oh Lord, I'm so amazed when I dig up in Your Scripture
Focused and trying to get You, hoping to get a picture
Of who You are, true You are, Holy hoping I miss You
When I get away and I miss a day spending it with You
That's foolish, I hope to know You and be a student
And learn Your Holy ways all my days with no excuses
Ooh its such a privilege to know the God that moves and
Soothes this wretched soul, it was cold but he renewed it
And when I look at the Psalms I just pause
Got me dropping my jaw, its clear You got 'em in awe
And we can see that they yearning for Your person
Panting after You, and their passion for You is burning
I'm trying to pursue You 'cause You precious as a pearl
More than I did with them girls, I used to mess with in the world
Relentless in my pursuit, I surrender it all to You
And I pray You draw me closer in intimate time with You
There's a longing for Your love
Not just a moment, intimate touch
There's a longing for Your love
Not just a moment, intimate touch
It's way too many times, I'm staying off on the grind
In other areas and I bury You in my mind
Then my life starts getting terrible, scarier and I find
Myself trying to get near to You, but You was here all the time
But I was having my share of affairs with things You designed
Kind of like a bad marriage, it's scary it's like I'm blind
And I'm praying You'd help me, hold me, and make me focus
I know that when I'm lacking You I'm more than hopeless
Mold this wicked heart to delight in Your precious person
Fighting, confessing, searching for Christ and lessons for learning
It ain't even nothing good in me that I might show You
But I can see that eternal life's that I might know You
I want to know You, be close to the God who saved me
And raised me, I pray we can be much closer
And I- I can embrace the beautiful life that You gave me
I count it all loss, Lord, that I might know ya
There's a longing for Your love
Not just a moment, intimate touch
There's a longing for Your love
Not just a moment, intimate touch
I'm longing for Your endless love
The knowledge of who You are
The truth that lies within Your Word
Show my heart who You are
Truly I can't wait 'til this flesh is removed
And I'm forever with You, sin's mess is removed
Then there's nothing in the way, there's none better than You
To ignore that I'm more wack, this fella's a fool
You so mysterious, I read about You see I
I am so in awe of You, I'm all for You, You truly fly
The truth is I'm in love with You and hope that You see I
Would like to see You and I in U-N-I-T-Y
There's a longing for Your love
Not just a moment, intimate touch
There's a longing for Your love
Not just a moment, intimate touch
Lord bring me closely
Intimately
So to show me
Who You are
and to fill my cup, Lord
Lord bring me closely
Intimately
So to show me
Who You are
and to fill my cup, Lord
Just a lil bit more
I need a lil bit more
Na-na-na-na
Just a lil bit more
I need a lil bit more
Na-na-na-na
I need, I need more and more
The killer inside stares back from the mirror
Lust in his eyes, waiting for exchange
Intimacy, I want you to be part of me
Intimacy, I want you to be part of me
Sex is the card the animals are playing
Let's take it too far and eat the pain away
Intimacy, I want you to be part of me
Last night before you fell asleep
You whispered something to me
Was it just a dream?
I'm gonna listen to you close
Cause your butterfly kiss
Felt like a ghost
What are you trying to say to me?
What are you trying to say?
Everybody searching for intimacy
Everybody hurting for intimacy
We come into this world alone
From the higher darkness
The infinite unknown
We're only here a little while
And I feel safe and warm
When I see you smile
Baby don't move away from me
Baby don't pull away
Everybody searching for intimacy
Everybody hurting for intimacy
Remember when you were a child
and your mama
would hold you in her arms
and rock you to sleep
Now darling there's just you and I
Let's give each other everything
Baby, baby
Everybody searching for intimacy
Everybody hurting for intimacy
Baby come and lay down next to me...
Laying with you in the grass and only the both of us and a couple of satellites know what we say
Intimacy is something we've lost somehow somewhere on our way through evolution
The man in the moon is wearing some headphones and the smile of the sun is just a smile that's fake
