http://www.newseminaryproject.org/ - It's difficult to live a Catholic life in these days - and when you see the ordinations and you see a young man being ordained, a Day of Ordination, it's a day of great hope, because God, as we know in our minds and in our hearts that He won't abandon His people - but this is something very concrete.
Ever since the crisis in the Church, people, to show their great Faith in the Church, or great hope that the Church continues in all its doctrinal purity and missionary zeal, they now makes these pilgrimages, we can say, to ordinations, to see the priesthood conferred on these young men.
When I had joined the Benedictines in Europe, each year, the big event was to go to Econe for the ordinations. And there was such a great spirit, seeing representatives of all the orders there, the traditional orders... seeing the elders of the clergy, older priests coming in to lay their hands on the ordinands; it was the event of the year. And in this spirit of hope... that God is with us; and we are in the heart of the Church.
People realize that here God is continuing to form, to give priests for their soul.
We've got that bloodline that goes back to Our Lord Jesus Christ and the Last Supper when he gave those apostles, celebrated that Mass and gave them power to do what these priests now have the power to do. To confess sins, to absolve sins, and to be the Christ amongst us, both Victim and the one that does the victimizing.
The priest as the mediator between God and man and so he's able to give Sacraments to the faithful, just one ordination and the Sacraments he can provide and everything of that nature, is a great grace for all of the faithful that he will be able to see.
A priest is set aside, he's meant to be different, he's meant to be a leader amongst men; and so for the SSPX it's very clear - we are here to form priests. And we are here to form priests for Holy Mother Church, for the work of Tradition, and for souls.
It signifies that many vocations come to us from families, true Catholic families that have many children, that the good Lord chose to send a vocation; that is a great hope of the Church.
If we look back a little bit more than forty years here, in the United States, the Society just arrived with a couple of priests. Over this forty years this group of priests developed to a group of 95 priests is a more or less exponential growth.
The seminary is all about forming priests. We're a priestly society, we take care of faithful, we take care of parishes, but we need priests to do that.
Of all the projects that we could possibly do in the Society, this new seminary is the most important project.
The formation of the seminarians, which is the formation of the priests, is the formation of the officers of the Church. When you support the formation of the seminarians, you support the building of the Church.
It's fitting, perfectly fitting, that we do all we can, all our best, to build seminaries, and to form vocations, to form future priests, the future of the Church.
The seminary project, is for us the perfect realization of the Archbishop's spirit, which was full of hope - and a magnanimous spirit. To put the light on the hilltop, so that all may see, and be attracted, by this beacon of light which is the place where priests are made.

On Monday, Dec 1st people around the country will be walking out of their schools and places of work in solidarity with Ferguson communities across the country effected by police violence.
Where? It can be any central location at your school or the area where you work . Consider if there is a place that has relevance to social justice such as a monument, chapel, or scene of previous protests.
When? Ideally, all #HandsUpWalkout events will happen simultaneously at 12pm central time on Monday, December 1st.
How?
The steps for organizing a #HandsUpWalkout are simple:
Before the walkout:
Just register an event asking people to meet at that space on FergusonAction.com.
Make a list of friends and to invite to the event, make calls, email them, tag them on social media, ask each person to invite 5 more people.
Share the event on social media with the hashtag #HandsUpWalkout and the hashtags affiliated with your campus, city, or part of town where you are trying to draw out.

Rev. Osagyefo Uhuru Sekou was arrested in Ferguson Monday night as he rallied ministers calling for the arrest of Darren Wilson, the officer who shot Mike Brown. The ministers gathered on South Florissant Ave at around 23.00 local time (04.00 GMT) and were quickly surrounded by police. Rev. Sekou was the only member of the clergy to be arrested. Shots were also fired, though it is unclear whether police or protesters opened fire. No injuries have been reported.
Rev. Sekou had called for ministers and clergymen to gather and join the crowd of protesters; not to speak as an independent, mediating force. The call encouraged ministers to come to the protest wearing their collars and vestments, knowing they were at risk of arrest.
Tensions have once again flared in the St. Louis suburb, with two police officers shot in separate incidents over the weekend. Police have been banned from wearing bracelets with 'I am Darren Wilson' written upon them, as they are believed to incite community anger. A grand jury is currently deliberating whether to charge Wilson.

What I found was a quiet (really quiet...they were off of school for the entire week!) but heavily contemplative school with a serious consideration of the arts. The entire campus was adorned with frescos, sculptures and fountains with biblical and historical significance to the methodist church. I spoke with Amy Gray, the program coordinator of the Center For Arts & Religion who filled me in on their arts programs, which many seminaries don't have.

The minister said this in an official report on the implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) against terrorism and extremism.
Two of the “suspect” schools were from Punjab, 15 from Sindh and 13 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. No seminary in Balochistan has been placed in this category since the launch of the NAP in December last year.
Although the report does not explain in so many words what is meant by suspected schools, a senior official involved in the implementation of the NAP said they had some direct or indirect connections with terrorists or their activities.

STORYLINE
Cuban President Raul Castro joined an American archbishop and other Roman Catholic leaders on Wednesday at the inauguration of a Cuban national seminary on the outskirts Havana, the first new religious construction on the communist-run island in more than half a century.
The inauguration comes with the church's profile in Cuba at a high after Havana Cardinal Jaime Ortega helped negotiate the release of some 52 political prisoners jailed in a 2003 crackdown on dissent.
The cardinal had warm words for both Raul and his brother Fidel at the seminary's opening, saying both had kept their word to lend the project official support.
"This promise was fulfilled faithfully, and in the name of the church I thank both the former president and the current president, Raul Castro, who honours us with his presence," Ortega said. "This work has been able to count on state support through its conclusion."
Castro's presence at the function - and the fact that the seminary was built at all - sent a powerful message of just how much relations between the church and Cuba's government have improved in recent years.
The seminary - a complex of several buildings built around a modern pink chapel - will serve as a centre of religious learning for new Cuban priests.
Cuba's last seminary was taken over by the government in 1966 and ultimately turned into a police academy.
After that, the church moved to a building in old Havana which was not big enough for them.
Though Cuba never cut ties with the Vatican, relations were strained for decades.
Tensions eased in the 1990s when the government removed references to atheism in the constitution and allowed believers of all faiths to join the Communist Party. They warmed even more when Pope John Paul II visited Cuba in 1998.
During his visit, the Pope blessed a foundation stone meant to be laid at the site of the new seminary.
The US delegation was led by Archbishop Thomas G. Wenski of Miami.
In addition to the inauguration of the seminary, he and the other American clergymen planned to visit parishes and missions in Havana which are funded in part by a collection taken up each year in dioceses across the United States.
Castro sat in the front row during the ceremony, wearing a white guayabera and chatting with Caridad Diego, the head of religious affairs for Cuba's Communist Party, as Ortega presided.
Later, the two men cut a ribbon and walked together into the chapel.

Madrassas confused to choose Deeni seminaries in our country and in Tamil Ecumenical; where to go and what to opt. Today, the governments are deciding the fate of madrasas saga; Maharashtra government official refused on the ground to help the seminaries and after the decision madrassas in Rajasthan are on the cloud and deepened the crisis that began .
In the current situation, more than 3,800 institutions are registered under Madrasa board. Official records say that 148 seminaries registered addresses are not only met ,then during the physical verification of a single child was found in 507 madrasas; though there are still 228 madrassas where there are only 20 children.
Rajasthan Madrasa Board issued notice to the irregularity has been found 902 madrassas. The government said the move ," Urdu Teachers Union alleges that the repressive government decision to close the seminary is working on policy". Official figures now 2 million 35 thousand 680 in Rajasthan known students are reading. But here the question arises about the illegal regulation of the madrassas institutions.
The Act does not apply to any of the state or central authorities until today neither the Congress nor the BJP governments give depution for seminaries to handle such legislation.
The state intelligence department and IB law without running the madrassas in the reports described a very serious and delicate matter.
Government verification is on for the real report of the matter followed by the case of madrassa community.

Discover how one seminary receives a man and prepares him for his transformation into an Alter Christus, "Another Christ" for the glory of God and needs of souls.
The title, taken from the opening words of Mass in the Extraordinary Form, embodies the essential goal of priestly formation in the Fraternity of Saint Peter. This new video explores in particular the work of priestly formation in the Fraternity's English-speaking seminary in Denton, Nebraska.
The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter presents through this DVD an introduction helpful for generous young men discerning a priestly vocation. At the same time, the film will provide everyone with a thorough portrait of daily life at the seminary.
In the Church, the members of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter have the fundamental charism of sanctifying themselves through the faithful celebration of Holy Mass and the Sacraments in the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite. At the same time, they offer to souls the fruits of the graces of their vocation by making the liturgy in the Extraordinary Form available to all Catholics. Throughout the seminary's intensive seven year program, each of the various elements and stages of formation has as its purpose the formation of priests whose union with God is pursued through the traditional liturgy.
Viewers are invited to see how the Fraternity seminary, drawing on the Church's rich tradition of priestly formation, forms zealous priests through the study of Thomistic philosophy and theology, Latin, Gregorian Chant and also through the elements of community life including spiritual direction, manual labor and recreation.
