Recipients for the 2018 Richard Seff Award - Michael Potts (The Iceman Cometh) and Margaret Colin (Carousel).
Established in 1945, the Clarence Derwent Award is a crystal plaque and $5,000 to a male and a female actor for the most promising performance in a supporting role, as selected by a committee organized by the Foundation. Derwent's will stipulated a Trust Fund for the AEA Foundation to fund the awards. The Derwent Award is given at the end of the theatre season in June.
In 2003 the Actors' Equity Foundation established the Richard Seff Award, an annual award to be given to a male and female character actor who is 50 years old ...

Studio One is an American radio and television anthology series, created in 1947 by Canadian director Fletcher Markle, who came to CBS from the CBC. On April 29, 1947, Markle launched the sixty minute CBS radio series with an adaptation of Malcolm Lowry's Under the Volcano.
Broadcast on Tuesdays, opposite Fibber McGee and Molly and The Bob Hope Show at 9:30 P.M., E.S.T., the radio series continued until July 27, 1948, showcasing such adaptations as Dodsworth, Pride and Prejudice, The Red Badge of Courage and Ah, Wilderness.
Top performers were heard on this series, including John Garfield, Walter Huston, Mercedes McCambridge, Burgess Meredith and Robert Mitchum
