An evening gown is a long flowing women's dress usually worn to a formal affair. It ranges from tea and ballerina to full-length. Evening gowns are often made of a luxury fabric such as chiffon, velvet, satin, or silk. Although the terms are used interchangeably, ball gowns and evening gowns differ in that a ball gown will always have a full, flared skirt and a strapless bodice; in contrast, an evening gown can be any silhouette—sheath, mermaid, A-line or trumpet shaped—and may have straps, halters or even sleeves.
It corresponds to men's semi-formal wear for black tie events.
Sir Michael Philip "Mick" Jagger, (born 26 July 1943) is an English musician, singer, songwriter and actor, best known as the lead vocalist and a founder member of The Rolling Stones.
Jagger's career has spanned over fifty years. Allmusic has described Jagger as "one of the most popular and influential frontmen in the history of rock & roll". His distinctive voice and performance, along with Keith Richards' guitar style, have been the trademark of The Rolling Stones throughout the career of the band. In 1989, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with The Rolling Stones.
Jagger gained much press notoriety for admitted drug use and romantic involvements, and was often portrayed as a counterculture figure. In the late 1960s Jagger began acting in films (starting with Performance and Ned Kelly), to mixed reception. In 1985, Jagger released his first solo album, She's the Boss, and was knighted in 2003. In early 2009, he joined the eclectic supergroup SuperHeavy.
Jagger was born into a middle class family at Livingstone Hospital, in Dartford, Kent, England. His father, Basil Fanshawe ("Joe") Jagger (13 April 1913 – 11 November 2006), and his grandfather David Ernest Jagger were both teachers. His mother, Eva Ensley Mary (née Scutts; 6 April 1913 – 18 May 2000), born in New South Wales, Australia, was a hairdresser and an active member of the Conservative Party. Jagger is the elder of two sons (his brother Chris Jagger was born on 19 December 1947) and was raised to follow in his father's career path.
Jimena "Ximena" Navarrete Rosete (born on February 22, 1988) is a Mexican model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Universe 2010. She was previously named as Nuestra Belleza México 2009.
Navarrete was born and raised in Guadalajara, the capital city of Jalisco, Mexico. She is one of two children, born to dentist parents Carlos Navarrete and Gabriela Rosete. She began modeling locally at the age of sixteen, and studied nutrition at the Valle de Atemajac University, prior to taking part in the world pageant.
Navarrete was crowned Nuestra Belleza Jalisco on July 16, 2009 in her hometown, and subsequently won the national title of Nuestra Belleza México as well, besting thirty-three other contestants during the 16th edition of that event, held September 20, 2009 in Mérida, Yucatán. That night, Navarrete became the second consecutive winner from Jalisco, following Karla Carrillo, the outgoing titleholder and a close friend who encouraged her to participate in the pageant.
On August 23, 2010, Navarrete (then known as "Jimena") was named Miss Universe, making her the second Mexican delegate to win the title, after Lupita Jones in 1991. Coincidentally, both were crowned in Las Vegas, Nevada.
People think that Im high class
But Im low down all the while
People think that Im crazy
When I flash that California smile
But I can still
Paint the town
All the colors of your evening gown
While Im waiting for your blonde hair to turn gray
People say youre a drinker
But I get sober half the time - mmm hmm
People say youre a loser
But I get lucky on the side - bet you do
But I can still
paint the town
All the colors of your evening gown
While Im waiting for your blonde hair to turn gray
All my life Ive waited for someone who could show me where the bliss is
All my life Ive waited for someone who could take me past the kissing?
People say Im a loner - mmm hmm
I like to get lost in a crowd dont we all
Oh, people say Im a dresser - pretty sharp
I wear my sport clothes way out loud - way out loud
Yeah I can still - I can still
paint the old town - town
and I can shake it -shake it
I can turn it upside down upside down
while Im waiting waiting
for your blonde hair -for your blond hair
to turn gray - gray
Girl Ill keep waiting-Waiting
for your blonde hair
to turn gray
Ill keep waiting - Just waiting
for your blond hair
to turn gray
People say that I'm high class
But I'm low down all the while
People think That I'm crazy
When I flash that California smile
But I can still paint the town
All the colour of your evening gown
While I'm waiting for your blonde hair
To turn grey
People say I'm a drinker
But I'm sober half the time
People say I'm a loser
But I get lucky on the side
Yeah but I can still paint the town
All the colour of your evening gown
While I'm waiting for your blonde hair
To turn grey
All my life I waited for
Someone who would show where the bliss is
All my life I waited for
Someone who would take me past the kissing
People say I'm a loner
I like to get lost in the crowds
People call me a dresser
I wear my sports clothes way too loud
Yeah but I can still paint the town
I can shake it and turn it upside down
While I'm waiting for your blonde hair
While I'm waiting for your blonde hair
While I'm waiting for your blonde hair
The butler opened the parlor door
I took my coat and approached the floor
A door opened at the top of the stairs
A sexy lady she was a-standing there
I stumbled and turned around to see
Her Evening Gown
Said yeah, Alright!
She said Forward your love was there
The light was on the jewels in her hair
The only sign gettin' down on my chest
I start to mumble on the way to address
I made the way up and down upon
Her Evening Gown
Said yeah, Alright!
(solo)
Oh...
Mmm-hmm, alright...
The door was on the touch of her feet
Her eyes were wide and her hands petite
I knew I didn't stand a breath of a chance
With all her will she gave me a glance
She won't throw me out, I turned around to meet
Her Evening Gown
Said Yeah, Wowwwwwww!
The butler opened the parlor door
I took my coat and approached the floor
A door opened at the top of the stairs
A sexy lady she was a-standing there
I stumbled in and turned around to see
