Film4 is a free digital television channel available in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland and Switzerland, owned and operated by Channel Four Television Corporation, that screens films.
Film4 did not originally focus on broadcasting blockbusters, but nowadays broadcasts many mainstream Hollywood movies. The channel frequently has themed nights or seasons in which a number of films centred around one genre, director or actor are shown. As Channel 4 also owns a film production company, Film4 Productions, it shows many of its in-house productions.
Occasional non-film (but film-related) programmes are also shown.
Wherever possible, films are shown in their correct aspect ratio.[citation needed] No digital on-screen graphics are superimposed. Under UK broadcasting rules, it was able to screen most films unedited and in earlier timeslots when it was a subscription channel, but these concessions were lost when it became free-to-air, and more adult material is now confined to after the 9pm watershed. Some films are also now edited to make them suitable for pre-watershed screenings, a decision which was criticised by viewers on the channel's now defunct internet forum.
Richard Stuart Linklater (born July 30, 1960) is an American film director and screenwriter.
Linklater was born in Houston, Texas. He studied at Sam Houston State University and left midway through his stint in college to work on an off-shore oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico. While working on the rig he read a lot of literature, but on land he developed a love of film through repeated visits to a repertory theater in Houston. It was at this point that Linklater realized he wanted to be a filmmaker. After his job on the oil rig, Linklater used the money he had saved to buy a Super-8 camera, a projector, and some editing equipment, and moved to Austin. It was there that the aspiring cineaste founded the Austin Film Society and grew to appreciate such auteurs as Robert Bresson, Yasujiro Ozu, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Josef Von Sternberg, and Carl Theodor Dreyer. He enrolled in Austin Community College in the fall of 1984 to study film.
Since his early 20s, Linklater has been a vegetarian.
Linklater founded the Austin Film Society in 1985 together with his frequent collaborator Lee Daniel, and is lauded for launching and solidifying the city of Austin as a hub for independent filmmaking.

One of his paternal great-grandfathers was Greek. His parents divorced when he was eight, and he remained with his accountant father and siblings, while his mother moved back to England. As a child, Jackman liked the outdoors, spending a lot of time at the beach and on camping trips and vacations all over Australia. He wanted to see the world: "I used to spend nights looking at atlases. I decided I wanted to be a chef on a plane. Because I'd been on a plane and there was food on board, I presumed there was a chef. I thought that would be an ideal job."

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh
Like a light into my life
I never thought that it would feel so bright, yeah
All I wanna do is hold you tight
And I'll be with you through trouble nights
Sometimes life it drags you down
And plays you like a fool
Makes you feel so empty sometimes
It can be so cruel, ooh yeah
So follow me home
You'll never be lost
We'll weather the storm
whatever the cost
I won't walk away
I'll stand by your side
I'm here for you
The rest of our lives
When you're feeling all alone
Hear the words that I'm singing to you, oh
Like a seed that has been sown
As you grow, I will protect you, yeah, yeah
Sometimes life it drags you down
And plays you like a fool
Makes you feel so empty sometimes
It can be so cruel, ooh yeah
So follow me home
You'll never be lost
We'll weather the storm
whatever the cost
I won't walk away
I'll stand by your side
I'm here for you
The rest of our lives
Baby all I'm trying to say
Is that my heart is here to hold you
I'm never far away
Take my hand so I can feel you
I've searched and I have found
I'll never let you down
We will all stand on solid ground
(No matter what will always be around)
(So follow me home)
So follow me home
(Never be lost)
You'll never be lost
(We'll weather the storm)
We'll weather the storm
(Yeah, yeah, yeah)
whatever the cost
I won't walk away
(I won't walk away)
I'll stand by your side
(I'll stand by your side)
I'm here for you
(Yeah, yeah)
The rest of our lives
(So follow me home)
So follow me home
(Never be lost)
You'll never be lost
(We'll weather the storm)
We'll weather the storm
(Yeah, yeah, yeah)
whatever the cost
I won't walk away
(I won't walk away)
I'll stand by your side
(I'll stand by your side)
I'm here for you
(Yeah, yeah, yeah)
Oh well the sun go down
Celebration in the town tonight
All day long
They been slaughtering upon a stone
Share out the meat
Yeah, you really liked to eat
Come on woman, come follow me home
Well, the priest he cries
Virgins ascending to the skies tonight
All day long
I have passed my time alone
When the church bells rung
I stayed out on the tower
In a dying sun
Come on woman, come follow me home
Well I don't need no priest
But I love all of the people
Yes I share the feast
So drink up my wine
Yes and the song in my bones
I know the way
I can see by the moonlight
Clear as the day
I can't find enough words to say you mean the most to me.
But I could try tonight.
Rip out my lungs and have them breathe for you,
my heart you know it beats for you.
No tears are left to cry alone tonight.
Follow me home, you're the brightest star I've seen.
I can't lose hope. When you're around me.
Lets make it last forever. Will make it last.
I can't find enough words to say you bring the best out in me.
But I could try tonight. To be the one who always waits for you,
The one who helps put faith back in you.
No hears are left to beat alone tonight
I don't know what brought us here
But I know there's no easy way out
One thing is perfectly clear
I can't live alone in that house
Enough is enough
I don't have the answers, I don't know the reasons
Or where we got lost, but I still believe
We can find our way back, baby just
Follow me home tonight, follow me through the door
We can start starting over, I don't wanna fight like this anymore
Baby, just take my hand, give us another chance
We've both made mistakes, but it's not too late
To let it go, let it go, and follow me home tonight
Your boots are waitin' in the hall
The bed's been so cold since you left
Sometimes I talk to the wall
Yeah, it sounds crazy I guess
But enough is enough
There's no magic words that can fix all our problems
But if we're not together, how can we solve 'em
Lay down your pride, baby just
Follow me home tonight, follow me through the door
We can start starting over, I don't wanna fight like this anymore
Baby, just take my hand, give us another chance
We've both made mistakes, but it's not too late
To let it go, let it go, and follow me home tonight
Home, to that same sweet place, where love still lives
And my heart is waitin', oh I'm waitin'
Follow me home, follow me home, follow me
Baby, just take my hand, give us another chance
We've both made mistakes, but it's not too late
To let it go, let it go
Baby, let it go, let's go
Follow me home tonight
[Verse 1:]
Mothafucka this is Watts, California, Nickerson Gardens
Follow me home back to my project apartment
Land of the palm trees, buyin weed we smokin, home of the low-lows
6-4s we rollin, chuck taylors and nikes, wife beaters and white tees
Up in the Yay area boys gettin hyphy
Los Angeles where them boys rockin them colors hard
Runnin from 1 time, we ain't livin behind them bars
Take you on Crenshaw, then show you how to ride a car
Hit a couple of switches, you won't have to buy a?
Take you on Slauson, I'm flossin, lookin like a star
Witta bad bitch with ass and cash in her bra
Pocket full of cash, we smash, we all at the mall
Hit a swapmeet, snatch some khakis up off the wall
Turn your music up cus we don't give a fuck about the law
Only Lord knows, this is California soul
[Chorus: The Game]
C-A-L-I-F-O-R-NIA, my name rang in MIA, I'm the talk of New York
Down in ATL, they smell me, so ain't shit niggas could tell me
Ask in Mo-town, they'll tell you how it go down, ain't no California love
We California thugs, we throw California slugs, so throw up a California dub
[Verse 2:]
Mothafucka this is Watts, California, Nickerson Gardens
Follow me home back to my project apartment
Gotta get money homey, we hustle regardless
Changin my number nigga the streets steady callin, but
Moneys my target, nobodys flawless
Step in my building still got the work under my carpet
Still living heartless, rats, roaches crawlin
Killa Killa Cali, plenty souls deparment
South Central active, gang bang capitol
Bloods and Crips runnin the city dawg, it's factual
What set you claim? Little homey they askin you
Wrong color, wrong sign, boy they blastin you
And when you passin though better have a pass if u
Because these boys in the hood they'll casket you
Nothin but the truth is what I'm givin you
Lord knows, the life of a California soul
[Chorus:]
[Verse 3:]
Mothafucka this is Watts, California, Nickerson Gardens
Follow me home back to my project apartment
Still in my hood on my beach cruiser, pedalin
Niggas think I'm a rookie but got the heart of a veteran
Nigga I'm a doctor?, I got that medicine
For them patients they say the go around me but that's irrelavent
Balls hangin low just like a elephant, still ridin high like a pelican
Nigga I ain't studder man, I do it for the gutta men
I do it for my people on a hustle on a struggle, we go? dawg
I do it for the W, west coast my coast, Watts, California
My hood my burough, plus I gotta keep it thorough man I gotta keep it gangsta
That's what I am no wanksta, never that
Momma never raised a chump, watch what you sayin huh
I don't believe you
I don't believe that you're alright
Your lips I can see through
Discover the truth don't stretch a smile
And someday you'll discover
That the friends you've left behind
Are the only people you will have
To open up your eyes
Because you've been living like you're blind
I'm moving too fast now to let go
Losing my chance to make it alone
Get out on my own
Will someone, anyone follow me back home?
And I've been thinking that
I almost feel ok
Cause I've been dreaming through
My wasted summer days
I'm never sleeping
But I never feel awake
And God I wish I had someway
Just one way to say that I've got this plan and these
small words and
My big mouth to get them heard
So listen to me, you're not alone if you hurt
I'm moving to fast now to let go
Losing my chance to make it alone
Get out on my own
Will someone, anyone follow me back home?
Home is where I wanted to be cause
The world clears when I am asleep
But the morning came and ripped you away
But you give me no reason to stay awake
I think it's time you go back
Time you go back, time you go back
Time that you go home
Cause you're never going to change, Never going to
change, never going to change
Never going to glow
What are you doing?
Where did you go?
What are you doing?
Where did you lose control?
Did you lose control?
I'm moving too fast now to let go
Losing my change to make it alone
Get out on my own
Will someone, anyone follow me back home?
Home is where I wanted to be cause
The world clears when I am asleep
But the morning came and ripped you away
But you give me no reason to stay awake
I don't believe you
I don't believe that you're alright
No I don't believe you cause there's
Part of you that never wanted any part of me
And you never knew enough to know
That you're forever going to be alone
And you were better before
Hey you standing in the corner, how about getting out of
here?My eyes are burning from this smoky haze, and I'm
needing just a little midnight air.
There's a café around the corner, and I'm pretty sure
it's open all night long
We can grab a cup of coffee sit and talk about the
weather, see if something's going on.
Lately, things haven't been going my way, but I'm
thinking things are gonna change.
Cuz maybe, I'm looking up instead of looking down
(and I'm getting over what was getting me down)
I think I'm seeing something you've always known,
and if you feel like talking, then follow me home.
Tell me all about when you were young, I want to know
Why you don't feel that you're beautiful, cuz you're so
beautiful, in everything you do.
Let's go driving for a day, I want to go
Somewhere nobody can find us, just for a day or two with
you,
Well this may seem crazy or it may be nothing at all
But I'm tired of hurting and it's time I took the fall
Lately, things haven't been going my way, but I'm
thinking things are gonna change
Cuz maybe, I'm looking up instead of looking down
(and I'm getting over what was keeping me down)
I think I'm seeing something you've always known
and if you feel like talking, then follow me home.
Oh well the sun go down
Celebration in the town tonight
All day long
They been slaughtering upon the stone
Share out the meat
Yeah, you really like to eat
Come on man, come follow me home
Follow me home
Follow me home
Follow me home
Follow me home
Follow me home
Well, the priest he cries

And when the church bell rung
I stayed out on the tower
In a dying sun
Now come on man, come follow me home
Follow me home
