I’m certain that we will face a few rough edges
I’m certain that we will learn a few life lessons
I could piss you off with some ill thought remark
But we are both reaching out through our dark
I’ll guarantee we’ll find a few sacrifices
A few disagreements for our bad choices
One by one
It is what it is
So surrender your armor and just give into this
So won’t you
Stand with me In the pouring rain
Stand with me in the pouring rain
Cause I want to stay with you by my side.
With you by my side
I’m certain there will be times
I’ll see green and you’ll see blue
A portrait of love from our own points of view
I’m singing the lines upon you face
Facing the memories
I’ll never erase
So won’t you
Stand with me In the pouring rain
Stand with me in the pouring rain
Cause I want to stay with you by my side.
Tracing the lines of the times in my mind when I should have been there
When I could have done something if only I had dared
Now I fumble my words and swallow the years that I could have tried
Etching out a smile just to pay for the pride
Chorus:
I gotta get it
Gotta get myself together
Got to be wise got to be bold got to be
Straight up clever
All of the days that you wasted away
When you could have tried
Scared of the dream you choose to survive
Every single day every word you waste every dream that you taste
Maybe you could put it all back together
Bridge:
Just keep your head above the
Just keep your head above the ground
I can’t get, get ahead take a step, say a word in edgewise sometimes
Its hard to swim in the paper-thin world that we’re living in
But keep your head on your shoulders and your shoulders to the sky
Listen to the little voice singing inside
Twisting your turns and spinning your words out of focus just notice you
What ever you’re doing
I want you to to stop it right now
Just take a little break, a little moment for yourself
What are you proving
By working so hard
Just breath, you know you need a little moment to yourself
Prechorus:
Maybe you forget to breathe once in a while
Take a moment to just notice life and smile
Chorus
Take a little moment, break just for a minute, steal away the time to breathe easy
Take a little moment, sneak a little second, don’t you think it’s time to stop…
and breathe easy
Verse 2:
Who are you kidding
By driving so fast
Do you think you’re going to sink, just take a moment to yourself
Just spill the beans
Let the kitty cat out of the bag
It don’t matter, all the chatter, take a moment for yourself
Prechorus:
The yakkey smackity do this’ity that’idy, gets old after awhile
Take a moment to just notice life and smile
Chorus
Take a little moment, break just for a minute, steal away the time to breathe easy
Take a little moment, sneak a little second, don’t you think it’s time to stop…
and breathe easy
Verse 1
Its easy to keep
searching for meaning
On how to be complete
Buts its nice to feel
where you are is where your
are supposed to be
Prechorus
All have is now
All we need is now
All we know is now
Now is all we need
Chorus:
This is where I need to be
Right where I’m meant to be
If things change and they always do
Then I will be here now for you
Verse 2
You, you make me speak to
The ghosts I don’t want to face
But its beautiful to feel the support
As we take our leap of faith
Prechorus
All have is now
All we need is now
All we know is now
Now is all we need
Chorus
This is where I need to be
Right where I’m meant to be
If things change and they always do
