Canonical hours are divisions of time which serve as increments between the prescribed prayers of the daily round. A Book of Hours contains such a set of prayers.
In western Catholicism, canonical hours may also be called offices, since they refer to the official set of prayer of the Roman Catholic Church that is known variously as the Divine Office (from the Latin officium divinum meaning "divine service" or "divine duty"), and the Opus Dei (meaning in Latin, "Work of God"). The current official version of the hours in the Latin Rite of the Roman Catholic Church is called the Liturgy of the Hours (Latin: Liturgia horarum) in North America or Divine Office in the British Isles.
In the Anglican tradition, they are often known as the Daily Office or Divine Office, to distinguish them from the other Offices of the Church.
In the Orthodox Church, the canonical hours may be referred to as the "Divine Services", and the Book of Hours is called the Horologion (Greek: ῾Ωρολόγιον). There are numerous small differences in practice according to local custom; but the overall order is the same among Byzantine Rite monasteries, although parish and cathedral customs vary rather more so by locale.
A&M Records is an American record label owned by Universal Music Group that operates under the mantle of its Interscope-Geffen-A&M division.
A&M Records was formed in 1962 by Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss. The company was subsequently renamed A&M, after Alpert's and Moss's initials. From 1966 to 1999, the company's headquarters were on the grounds of the historic Charlie Chaplin Studios at 1416 North La Brea Avenue, near Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood.
Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, A&M had such acts as Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass, Baja Marimba Band, Burt Bacharach, Sérgio Mendes & Brasil ’66, We Five, The Carpenters, Chris Montez, Elkie Brooks, Lee Michaels, The Captain and Tennille, Quincy Jones, Stealers Wheel, Marc Benno, Liza Minnelli, Rita Coolidge, Wes Montgomery, Paul Desmond, Cat Stevens, Bobby Tench, Hummingbird, Toni Basil, and Paul Williams. Folk artists Joan Baez, Phil Ochs and Gene Clark also recorded for the label during the 1970s. Billy Preston joined the label in 1971, followed by Andre Popp and Herb Ohta in 1973.
Pharrell Williams (born April 5, 1973), commonly known simply as Pharrell, is an American rapper, singer, record producer, composer, and fashion designer. He released his first single "Frontin'" in 2003 and followed up with his first album In My Mind in 2006.
As part of The Neptunes, Williams has produced numerous hit singles for various musicians. The two have earned three Grammy Awards amongst ten nominations. With Hugo, Williams attended Princess Anne High School where they played in the school band; there he got the name Skateboard P.
[Hook]
Six in the morning, police at my door
Six in the morning, police at my door
Six in the morning, police at my door
Six in the morning, police at my door
[Verse 1: Papoose]
They would say “bling-bling” if my jewels could talk
So you can still see me shining when the room gets dark
I’m like Tony Danza, I’ll show you who’s the boss
Teach my worker who’s the fiends and who’s the narcs
It’s a lot of niggas out tryna prove they heart
‘Til you hit they cousin up and make them move they aunt
Yo, I would wild out and let the Rug’ just spark
But you know how the ‘hood be when someone screwed your start
All the basketball tournaments was cool to watch
Bet your money, lose a little or lose a lot
They beat us by one point, yeah them dudes was sharp
But I’m a sore loser, so I had to shoot up the park
I wouldn’t of robbed your man if the fool was smart
But a fool and his money will soon depart
Then I went to my crib, went to sleep by 4:00
When I woke up, police was at my door, damn…
[Hook]
[Verse 2: Jadakiss]
Just aired the dice game out, that’s the truth, babe
‘Bout to hit the crib, take a shower and watch a bootleg
Black nut popped off, got to get the bag out of the crib
Goose dropped off so it can get knocked off
Then I got a sharp pain in my chest
But knowing I ain’t supposed to have it in the place I rest
Yes – but it’s a half a joint in there
Two.40 cals with the hollow points in there
Few bricks of diesel, couple pounds of purple
Gallon of the water, plus a thousand circles
A man hit me saying that he’d be here in a minute
All I’ve got to do is wrap it and bring it down to the rented
By now, it’s a little past 5:00
And I’m still tryna roll, could barely open my eyes
Next thing I know, she’s giving me a massage
Instead of waking up rich, I woke up to a surprise
[Hook]
[Verse 3: Jim Jones]
It goes: “six in the morning, police at my door”
At 5:00 in the morning I was up in this broad
At 4:00 in the morning we was out the club door
A few hours before that I was getting fresh in the store
Now a week before that, I was at the car lot
Thinking convertible so I can make the broad drop
A half a mill in cash off a three-month run
Them rubber bands stacks in 10-G lump sums
Police is on our back ‘cause we dump guns
So when Bird Gang’s outside, motherfucker, just run
We just dumb, like the hyphy life
I told you life was a bitch, not the wifey type
Hope you got the right bricks if the price is right
Catch me standing on the strip in the icy whites
Season of heirs, we in the V switching gears
Dropping the top, blowing weed in the air
She’s showing her ass…
Next think I know, I’ve got a detective all in my face
Asking me all kinds of questions
I don’t know shit but get my lawyer
the alarm goes off
it's 6 a.m.
yet another day of work begins
as you get in your car
you drive and wonder "just when will it all end?"
punch in punch out
day in day out
when will you face the fact that you had certain dreams not long ago
but you're suddenly off track?
[Chorus]
over worked
underpaid
same old shit
do you run your life
or does your job run you?
your parents worked their asses off to put you in a better place
but any place you're going is a dead end road
filled with heartaches, headaches, backbreaking labor
and a fire burning under your skin
never let them take your spirit away
always remember that today is your day
[Repeat chorus]
Ohh. Hey!
Girl why you mad? (why you mad)
I know exactly what time it is.
You aint gotta tell me. (you aint gotta tell me)
So what's up with the yelling (what's up with the yelling)

Click the beat and tell 'em to repeat it
Tell 'em that you won't leave now

Tell 'em that you can't go now
It's 6 am, not ready for the daylight
6 am, let's staying here and hide
6 am, not ready for the daylight

I got the nerv so bring it on
So push that beat
So when I'm dancing on my own
Just push that beat
That beat, that beat
I waited all night long to hear this beat
I got the nerv so bring it on
So push that beat
So when I'm dancing on my own
Just push that beat
That beat, that beat
Click the beat, I need a new injection
Getting so infected now
Pulsating music, damn it, let me use it
Need to feel a rush right now
Now now now
It's 6 am, not ready for the daylight
6 am, let's staying here and hide
6 am, not ready for the daylight

I got the nerv so bring it on
So push that beat
So when I'm dancing on my own
Just push that beat
That beat, that beat
I waited all night long to hear this beat
I got the nerv so bring it on
So push that beat
So when I'm dancing on my own
Just push that beat
That beat, that beat

So push that beat
So when I'm dancing on my own
Just push that beat
That beat, that beat

I got the nerv so bring it on
So push that beat
So when I'm dancing on my own
Just push that beat
You said good night. Screamed your goodbyes.
And now your shits outside and it's a real long drive through teary eyes.
And you always fight, and you're never right.
And you left that night when you looked inside and they turned off the lights.
Break out. Get out.
Pack up your shit cause you know they didn't want you in this house.
No chance. Acceptance.
Lived your lie, but now you're through with this stupid song and dance.
You always cry, but she'll be by your side.
And you wonder why she's never scared to ever hide.
Mom and Dad I gotta go.
"That's okay cause we never wanted you around. A disappointment to us all.
We won't catch you if you fall."
Turn off the fucking porch light. And disconnect the phone lines.
Change the locks on all the doors. We don't want you anymore.
Break out. Get out.
Pack up your shit cause you know they didn't want you in this house.
No chance. Acceptance.
I've been waiting for the weekend
Cause I think it's safe to say
I've had a little too much,
And we're a little too far
From the thing we used to be.
I could say that I'm alright
With the way things had to go
But I'm a little tied up
And a little slowed down
From the things I'll never know
Show me a sign, so I'll realize
It's over, is it over?
Show me a sign, so I'll realize
It's over
*CHORUS (x2)*
It's six in the morning,
I'm counting the sheep
Convincing my self that I need to get some sleep
But I won't cause I can't and you don't
Believe and give a damn
About the fact that
I miss you.
*END CHORUS*
Is it wrong of me to say that
In the end it's for the best
Because I know you never knew
All the shit that you would do
Would be the very end of us.
And we tried our best to hold on
But there was nothing we could do
At the end of everything
It doesn't matter what we need
All I know is that we're through
Show me a sign, so I'll realize
It's over, is it over?
Show me a sign, so I'll realize
It's over
*CHORUS (x2)*
It's Six in the morning,
I'm counting the sheep
Convincing my self that I need to get some sleep
But I won't cause I can't and you don't
Really even give a damn
About the fact that
I miss you.
*END CHORUS*
You know what I know
Turn around, Turn around,
Cause we're running from ourselves
You know what I know
Turn around, Turn around,
Cause we're running from ourselves
*CHORUS (X4)*
Six in the morning,
I'm counting the sheep
Convincing my self that I need to get some sleep
But I won't cause I can't and you don't
Really even give a damn
About the fact that
I miss you.
wake up morning sun
it's 6 a.m. i can see the clouds
brighter than the sun
brace yourself
'cause i don't know when
it'll all come down
take time to forget
just who you are
