Marriage (also called matrimony or wedlock) is a social union or legal contract between people called spouses that creates kinship. The definition of marriage varies according to different cultures, but is usually an institution in which interpersonal relationships, usually intimate and sexual, are acknowledged. Such a union is often formalized via a wedding ceremony. Many cultures limit marriage to two persons of the opposite sex, but some allow forms of polygamous marriage, and some recognize same-sex marriage. In some cultures, marriage is recommended or compulsory before pursuing any sexual activity.
People marry for many reasons, including one or more of the following: legal, social, libidinal, emotional, economic, spiritual, and religious. These might include arranged marriages, family obligations, the legal establishment of a nuclear family unit, the legal protection of children and public declaration of commitment. The act of marriage usually creates normative or legal obligations between the individuals involved. Some cultures allow the dissolution of marriage through divorce or annulment.

Oh, you.
I'm nothin but you, you.
I'm ok...
Listen, honey, you.
Girls, you shoudn't let me go.
Girls, you shoudln't let me know...
I'm nothing built you around me, you.
I'm sweetest honey.
[SCULTZ (spoken)]
You hesitate because you have never been married.
It frightens you. Believe me, it can work wonders...
How the world can change
It can change like that-
Due to one little word:
"married".
See a palace rise
From a two room flat
Due to one little word:
"Married".
And the old despair
That was often there
Suddenly ceases to be
For you wake one day,
Look around and say:
Somebody wonderful married me.
[FRAULEIN SCHNEIDER (spoken)]
You don't think it would be better simply to go
on as before?
[SCHULTZ]
[FRAULEIN KOST]
O wie wunderbar,
Nichts ist so wie-es-war,
Durch ein winziges wort:
"Heirat."
Aus dem erdgeschoss
Wird ein marchenschloss
Durch ein winziges wort:
"Heirat".
Und das grau
Wird auf einmal blau,
Wie noch kein blau jemals war.
Und dann steht man da,
Sagt beseligt'ja,
Heut'wird mein traum
Nicht so grau in grau.'
[whispered]
Ah! wie wunderbar,
Nichts ist so wie-es-war,
Durch ein winziges wort:
"Heirat."
Aus dem erdgeschoss
Wird ein marchenschloss
Durch ein winziges wort:

Jemals war.

Married
Well I found shelter in that woman
I done so for too long
She had my world turned upside down
Now my world it done gone wrong
That woman’s like my best friend
A bottle need refilled
Like that bottle gone empty
She sure did lose her thrill
I would love to know you’ve married
To remove you from my head
Clear them gray skies with sunshine
Girl I would love to know you’ve wed
A stranger you was, a stranger you’ll become
Hope you know you going to stay that way
From now till my kingdom come
Knowing you had make me recognise,
Always take your lovers good advice
But love is sometimes hard to understand,
It takes a lot of guts to be your man
Our love is just like an otis song, so sore
Our love is brutal but still not gone, it's still pure
Knowing you has made me realise,
After pain the sun will surely rise
If you count out the distress and the blues,
Then you and me we don't have much to loose
Our love is just like an otis song, so sore
Our love is brutal but still not gone, it's still pure
Shift track if you get bored,
But for now i hope you'll stay, I married you for love
I'll pull the communication cord well before we go astray,
My love I married you for love
Knowing you has made me comprehend,
Losers can get lucky in the end
Knowing you is loving you with doubt,
Still it's something I can't live without
Our love is just like an otis song, so sore
