A magnetosphere is formed when a stream of charged particles, such as the solar wind, interacts with and is deflected by the magnetic field of a planet or similar body. Earth is surrounded by a magnetosphere, as are the other planets with intrinsic magnetic fields: Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Jupiter's moon Ganymede has a small magnetosphere — but it is situated entirely within the magnetosphere of Jupiter, leading to complex interactions. The ionospheres of weakly magnetized planets such as Venus and Mars set up currents that partially deflect the solar wind flow, but do not have magnetospheres, per se.
Theories about the solar plasma stream and its interaction with Earth were published as early as 1931. During the next several decades multiple scientists, including Sydney Chapman and Hannes Alfvén, proposed a variety of mechanisms and explanations. The Earth's magnetosphere was first measured in 1958 by Explorer 1 during the research performed for the International Geophysical Year. In August and September 1958, Project Argus was performed to test a theory about the formation of radiation belts that may have tactical use in war.
Solar Fields is the stage name of Swedish electronic music artist Magnus Birgersson. He has released eleven albums, and has also scored all interactive in-game music for the Electronic Arts game Mirror's Edge. His eleventh album, Random Friday, was available for pre-order and was released on the 28th of April, 2012.
Magnus Birgersson was involved in many projects as a teenager, playing drums, various percussion, piano, and keyboards for several bands before launching his own Solar Fields project in 2001 with the album Reflective Frequencies.
His music has been described as electronic ambient, atmospheric, deep, ecstatic, industrial, yet organic.
In 2007 he began composing the in-game score for Mirror's Edge, a first-person action adventure game by Electronic Arts and DICE, released worldwide on 14 November 2008.
The album "Movements" is used as soundtrack for the Indie game Capsized from the small Canadian studio Alientrap in 2011.
Save me from my mind
I never wanted to go down like this
Why don't you save me?
Show me my options that requires decision
In an infinite line of reactions and visions
My good, my bad, my excellent choice
So innocent, my angry voice
The view of life all clean from noise
My eyes lie
And when we're in the locomotive
I don't know what to do
'Cause I still know that I can't change
The lies that turn into truth
A part of you, a part of me
I don't know what to do
To realize the depth of life, it's just that
A flaming desire for an innocent lust
Can change a lifetime in a second of trust
Can change the future, it'll turn out the light
We'll never know if this was right
My eyes lie
Save me from my mind
I never wanted to go down like this
Why don't you save me?
From what's inside of me, what's inside of me
It'll drive you mad if you start to think that
The ones you turned would maybe never have met
The love of their life in a life that they hate
The drunk driver that decided their fate
The dad of their child who's not so great
The emergency call, too late
Eyes that meet and then look away
Gives birth to the thoughts of this inner decay
So action is taking after dreams that are breaking
Are turning their back to a mind that was faking
The things we do today will make tomorrow
Turn a different way
Completely blank, nothing to say
My eyes lie
Save me from my mind
I never wanted to go down like this
Why don't you save me?
