They belong to a select group of runners who have competed in all 35 of the Long Beach Marathons since the race started in 1982 ... Sumpter said other Legacy Runners who completed the marathon included Ken Williams, Michael Benov, Ken Purucker and Phil Newberg. Tom Frost, Tom Pontac, George Wallims and Gordon Watson completed the half marathon, he said.
