Sonakshi Sinha (born 2 June 1987) is an Indian Bollywood actress and model. She is popular for her role of Rajjo in 2010 hit film Dabangg opposite Salman Khan. The film also marked her debut in the Hindi film industry.
She is the daughter of actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha and Punam Sinha. She has two brothers, Luv Sinha and Kussh Sinha. Luv is also an aspiring actor. She studied fashion designing at SNDT in Mumbai.
Sinha started her career as a model and walked the ramp at the Lakme Fashion Week 2008 and then again in Lakme Fashion Week 2009. Sonakshi Sinha is also a fashion designer. She designed costumes for movie Mera Dil Leke Deko in 2005.
She made her acting debut in the 2010 film Dabangg co-starring Salman Khan. The film went on to become one of the highest grossing Bollywood films. Salman had seen her at a function engaging in dancing and offered her the role.. Speaking about it, she said that she had lost a weight of 30 kg over a period of two years in order to prepare for her character of a village girl by "a combination of proper diet and vigorous exercise". She also added that she had been "observing people and trying to pick up nuances" as a step of further preparation. She also featured as the cover girl of Indian edition of Maxim magazine for the month December 2010.
Yami Gautam is an Indian film and television actress. Her 2012 film Vicky Donor is her first film in Bollywood. Her earlier appearances are on Indian television serials like Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam and Chand Ke Paar Chalo. Her claim to fame role was in Vicky Donor.
Yami's father Mukesh Gautam is a coordinator in Zee News channel. Yami initially wanted to become an IAS officer as she was a very good student. Hailing from Himachal Pradesh, she made her debut on Television with Chand Ke Paar Chalo but her claim to fame was Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam aired on Colors. She was last seen as a Television actress in Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam after which she moved on to feature films.
She essayed the lead role in the Kannada film Ullasa Utsaha. Then she also participated in the reality show Meethi Choori No.1 on NDTV Imagine. She has done various television advertisements, with the notable amongst those being 'Fair and Lovely' by Hindustan Unilever Limited and Samsung Galaxy Y DUOS.
In 2011, she made her debut in Telugu cinema, enacting a lead role in Ravi Babu's Nuvvila, following which she acted in another film Ek Noor playing the older version of Rabiha.
Manasvi Mamgai (born 10th October 1987) is an Indian model who was crowned Femina Miss India 2010, Miss Tourism International 2008 and Elite Model Look, India in 2006. She represented India at the Miss World 2010 but was unplaced.
Mamgai was born in Delhi to a Garhwali family with roots in Nainital, Uttarakhand. She then moved to Chandigarh where she was did most of her schooling, at Hansraj Public School. While at school she excelled in dancing and skating. by the age of 14 she won multiple state awards in dancing, including best dancer awards from the Chandigarh Institute of Performing Arts and the Chandigarh Art Theatre, and multiple medals in skating. She was also active at the school magazine. After schooling she back to Delhi.
After moving back to Delhi in 2006, Mamgai signed up with Elite Model Management India. In the same year she won the Elite Model Look India and also debuted at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, where she was chosen as one of 16 "New Faces Going Places". Since then she has walked the ramp for many top Indian designers[citation needed], shot campaigns for Fair and Lovely, Tarun Tahiliani,[citation needed]Manish Malhotra[citation needed] and many other, and shot fashion features for top Indian and international magazines.
