Americans tell of USA infantry massacre and rape of allied civilian women and children in South Vietnam. US Army photos and film. NOTE NOT in hostile territory, NOT an enemy village in South Vietnam, no-one properly punished. (you get more for DUI or pot than Calley got, he was out in under four months, no one else punished at all.)
Most important was that SOME Americans knew better and tried to stop it AT THE TIME.
The black guy from Detroit, the helicopter crew , Pvt Berhart and others, goes to show who has morals and who doesn't. The dude from Detriot couldn't understand how how they didn't know morals form somewhere, and the helicopter pilot and others who likened them to Nazi's and didn't go to Vietnam to be the Nazi's
You sullied your allies with this, New Zealand and Australia are still dirty from this, it doesn't wash off. Our heroes have this stain on them even if THEY did no wrong.
Yet still in Iraq CNN shows the USA continuing with NAZI tactics, using civilians (children even) under duress to check booby traps and to knock on doors of suspected ambushes, against Geneva. Using civilian contractors with No accountability. WHEN ARE THE USA GOING TO LEARN.? Stop being the Nazi's, or at least censor your press and TV stop youtube etc. Hide what you do , the Nazi's at least knew that one, be decent enough to have shame.
Same with the BAIT for SNIPER programme, if bullets were left near a school in your town would someone other than a terrorist pick them up, would it be okay for a Army sniper to kill them as a terrorist then.? I can think of LOTS of reasons someone other than a terrorist would remove pyrotechnics, left lying around by the US army as bait.
Some people just are not thinking it's the old oxymoron "military intellegence".

On November 12, 1969 reporter Seymour Hersh broke a shocking story about a massacre of hundreds of unarmed men, woman and children in the South Vietnamese hamlet of My Lai. Hersh explains that the story started with an anonymous tip and led him to Fort Benning, Georgia where the Army was holding Lt. William Calley, an officer undergoing court martial proceedings for the killings.

The Mỹ Lai Massacre, was the Vietnam War mass killing of between 347 and 504 unarmed civilians in South Vietnam on March 16, 1968. It was committed by U.S. Army soldiers from the Company C of the 1st Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment, 11th Brigade of the 23rd (Americal) Infantry Division. Victims included men, women, children, and infants. Some of the women were gang-raped and their bodies mutilated. Twenty-six soldiers were charged with criminal offenses, but only Lieutenant William Calley Jr., a platoon leader in C Company, was convicted. Found guilty of killing 22 villagers, he was originally given a life sentence, but served only three and a half years under house arrest.
The massacre, which was later called "the most shocking episode of the Vietnam War", took place in two hamlets of Sơn Mỹ village in Quảng Ngãi Province. These hamlets were marked on the U.S. Army topographic maps as My Lai and My Khe. The U.S. military codeword for the alleged Viet Cong stronghold in that area was Pinkville, and the carnage was initially referred to as the Pinkville Massacre. Later, when the U.S. Army started its investigation, the media changed it to the Massacre at Songmy. Currently, the event is referred to as the My Lai Massacre in the United States and called the Sơn Mỹ Massacre in Vietnam.
The incident prompted global outrage when it became public knowledge in November 1969. The My Lai massacre increased to some extent domestic opposition to the U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War when the scope of killing and cover-up attempts were exposed. Initially, three U.S. servicemen who had tried to halt the massacre and rescue the hiding civilians were shunned, and even denounced as traitors by several U.S. Congressmen, including Mendel Rivers, Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee. Only after thirty years were they recognized and decorated, one posthumously, by the U.S. Army for shielding non-combatants from harm in a war zone.

Same with the BAIT for SNIPER programme, if bullets were left near a school in your town would someone other than a terrorist pick them up, would it be okay for a Army sniper to kill them as a terrorist then.? It was committed by U.S. Army soldiers from the Company C of the 1st Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment, 11th Brigade of the 23rd (Americal) Infantry Division. Victims included men, women, children, and infants. Some of the women were gang-raped and their bodies mutilated. Twenty-six soldiers were charged with criminal offenses, but only Lieutenant William Calley Jr., a platoon leader in C Company, was convicted. Found guilty of killing 22 villagers, he was originally given a life sentence, but served only three and a half years under house arrest.
The massacre, which was later called "the most shocking episode of the Vietnam War", took place in two hamlets of Sơn Mỹ village in Quảng Ngãi Province. These hamlets were marked on the U.S. Army topographic maps as My Lai and My Khe. The U.S. military codeword for the alleged Viet Cong stronghold in that area was Pinkville, and the carnage was initially referred to as the Pinkville Massacre. Later, when the U.S. Army started its investigation, the media changed it to the Massacre at Songmy. Currently, the event is referred to as the My Lai Massacre in the United States and called the Sơn Mỹ Massacre in Vietnam.
The incident prompted global outrage when it became public knowledge in November 1969. The My Lai massacre increased to some extent domestic opposition to the U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War when the scope of killing and cover-up attempts were exposed. Initially, three U.S. servicemen who had tried to halt the massacre and rescue the hiding civilians were shunned, and even denounced as traitors by several U.S. Congressmen, including Mendel Rivers, Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee. Only after thirty years were they recognized and decorated, one posthumously, by the U.S. Army for shielding non-combatants from harm in a war zone.

Its grounds are littered with weeds and debris. Tourist buses make a brief stop outside. James Kimsey, who served two tours in Vietnam, last saw the embassy 26 years ago. He said "to see it now deserted... is a little bit shocking."

On 30 April 1975, the US embassy in Saigon was the scene of a frantic scramble as Americans and Vietnamese were evacuated as the Communista pproached the city. Now, the embassy is empty. Its grounds are littered with weeds and debris. Tourist buses make a brief stop outside. James Kimsey, who served two tours in Vietnam, last saw the embassy 26 years ago. He said "to see it now deserted... is a little bit shocking."

Early last week, Tibetan monks and others protested in the streets of the capital Lhasa, against what they call the 'Chinese occupation of Tibet.' The protests continued throughout the week, and on Friday protestors turned violent, prompting tanks and soldiers from the Chinese Army to stop the demonstrations.
Meanwhile, several foreign tourists who were in Tibet on Friday, have come forward with their stories of what exactly happened. Here's what they're saying:
STORY:
These tourists left Tibet over the weekend. Now in China's neighboring Sichuan Province, they told reporters what they saw and heard.
[Chelsea Hockett, American Tourist]:
"Yeah, last night especially, it was really bad."
(Journalist asking: You heard gunfire last night?)
"Umm-hmm, yeah"
(Journalist asking: All night long?)
"Yes, just throughout the night. My guide said he was talking to
some of his friends and they were saying nobody could walk on the street
because people are getting shot. It's really bad."
Hockett added that after the crackdown began, no one was allowed to leave the hotel where she was staying.
[Chelsea Hockett, American Tourist]:
"We were not allowed to leave our hotels so I don't know."
(Journalist asking: How do you know you were not allowed to leave your hotel?)
"There was military surrounding, they wouldn't let us. They made me show (flight) tickets to get out of there."
Rainer Ulrich is a German tourist. He was visiting Tibet as part of a tour of China. He says he didn't notice the protests until he saw tanks outside his hotel.
[Rainer Ulrich, German Tourist]:
"Thirty-one tourists from Germany and that's (Lhasa) the highlight of the tour here in China. And okay, then we have to go to our bedrooms and in the night, there were some rumours, I think it was gunfight. I am not sure but I stand up from my bed at four o'clock and I see two tanks in the streets of Lhasa"

"And after that, I saw I think 30 or 40 military trucks with soldiers inside, going in two different directions"
One Danish tourist was walking on the street when the crackdown started. He says everyone was running to get away.
[Bente Walle, Danish Tourist]:
"I just saw a lot of fire and everybody was running. And my guide told me, we got to run. So we run and then somebody put us in the house and closed the door. And later on, we find a taxi and the taxi didn't want to go to the place I stay because there was fighting in the street. So he put us off
on the road and we had to run again"
[Bente Walle, Danish Tourist]:
"I didn't hear any shots. But there was a big fire on the market. And I saw a lot of people with wounded heads and blood, ambulance and tanks and policemen all over"
The Chinese communist party said that 10 civilians were killed during the protests, mainly by fires lit by the protestors. But the Tibetan government-in-exile said that eyewitnesses in Lhasa had found 80 unidentifed bodies, and that 72 others had been injured.
The BBC reported on Sunday that the Chinese also opened-fire on monks and nuns protesting in Aba city of Sichuan Province. Smaller Tibetan groups have also protested the crackdown in major cities around the world.

Gallstones may not be everyones concern but may lead to cancer. We all have them (big or small, many or few). Cancer is never the 1st illness. There are a lot of other problems leading to cancer. I came across some materials stating that people with cancer usually had stones, said Dr Lai Chiu Nan of Taiwan.
One symptom of gallstones is a feeling of bloatedness after a heavy meal as if you cant digest the food. If it gets more serious, you feel pain in the liver area.
Dr Lai offers the apple juice treatment which is good for those with a weak liver. Liver and gallbladder are closely linked.
1) Drink 1 glass (250ml) 100% apple juice 4 times a day for 5 days. 1 glass at breakfast, 1 glass at lunch, 1 glass at dinner & 1 glass before going to bed. It softens the gallstones. Eat normally.
2) On the 6th day, skip dinner. At 6pm, take a teaspoon of Epsom salt (magnesium sulphate) with a glass of warm water. At 8 PM, repeat the same for purging purpose. It helps to flush out all solid stuff. It also opens the gallbladder ducts. At 10 PM, drink half a glass of olive oil mixed with half a glass of lemon juice. The oil lubricates the stones to ease their passage. Lemon juice helps to extract the stones out from gallbladder ducts.
Soon you will purge again. This time you can find greenish stuff floating in your toilet bowl, if you have gallstones. You may want to count them. I have had people who passed out 40, 50 or up to 100 stones. as told by Dr Lai. Even if you dont have any symptoms of gallstones, you still might have some. Its always good to give your gall bladder a clean-up every now and then.

Four Hours in My Lai is a 1989 television documentary made by Yorkshire Television concerning the 1968 My Lai Massacre by the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. The film includes interviews with soldiers at the massacre, and the later trials of those involved. The programme first broadcast on ITV as part of Yorkshire Television's First Tuesday documentaries. Michael Bilton and Kevin Sim, who created the film, based their book of the same name off of the documentary; after release, the book was met with mixed reception.
The documentary and book tell the story of the 11th Light Infantry Brigade, from their training through deployment in South Vietnam. It interviews both former U.S. servicemen and massacre survivors. Both describe the background of the area where the village of My Lai lay, and explain its nickname, "Pinkville", due to its reputation for housing Communist sympathisers. The documentary also shows photographs of U.S. servicemen torturing civilians before the massacre and tells of U.S. servicemen raping South Vietnamese women and children prior to the massacre. After the massacre, the trials of the soldiers at My Lai are examined. The documentary is narrated by Mark Halliley. It also aired on the PBS series Frontline as "Remember My Lai".
In 1989, the film won an International Emmy Award for Best Documentary. Upon release, Bilton and Sim's book Four Hours in My Lai was met with mixed reception. In a review for Chicago Tribune, Marc Leepson criticised the book for avoiding "the common tactics of the Viet Cong", and describing their activities "in euphemistically positive terms." Leepson went on to say the book "paints a distorted picture of the Vietnam war". Writing for The Boston Globe, Gail Caldwell said the book was written with a "staccato, cinematographic style", and praised it for providing "broad context, from the horrific losses Charlie Company had endured [...] to the cover-up and subsequent acquittal of several chief Army officers".
