Man-Eater of Kumaon - 1948 - Sabu, Wendell Corey, Joy Page
Man-eater is a colloquial term for an animal that preys upon humans. This does not include scavenging. Although human beings can be attacked by many kinds of animals, man-eaters are those that have incorporated human flesh into their usual diet. Most reported cases of man-eaters have involved tigers, leopards, lions and crocodilians. However, they are by no means the only predators that will attack humans if given the chance; a wide variety of species have also been known to take humans as prey, including bears, large constricting snakes (such as boas and pythons), Komodo dragons, wolves, hyenas, cougars, sharks, and even other humans.
Tigers are recorded to have killed more people than any other big cat. Unlike leopards and lions, man-eating tigers rarely enter human habitations in order to acquire prey. The majority of victims are reportedly in the tiger's territory when the attack takes place. Additionally, tiger attacks mostly occur during daylight hours, unlike those committed by leopards and lions. The Sundarbans are home to approximately 600 Royal Bengal Tigers that are well known for the substantial number of people they kill;[citation needed] estimates range from 50-250 people per year.[citation needed] They are the only man-eating tigers left in the world,[citation needed] though they are not the only tigers who live close to humans. A theory promoted to explain this suggests that since tigers drink fresh water, the salinity of the area waters serve as a destabilizing factor in the diet and life of tigers of Sundarbans, keeping them in constant discomfort and making them extremely aggressive. Other theories include the sharing of their habitat with human beings and the consumption of human corpses during floods.
Nelly Kim Furtado (born December 2, 1978) is a Canadian singer-songwriter, record producer and actress. Furtado first gained fame with her debut album, Whoa, Nelly!, and its single "I'm Like a Bird", which won a 2001 Juno Award for Single of the Year and a 2002 Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. Her second studio album, Folklore, was released. It was less commercially successful in the US but produced three international singles: "Powerless (Say What You Want)", "Try", and "Força" (the theme of the 2004 European Football Championship). Her third studio album, Loose was her biggest success worldwide. It produced the number-one hits "Promiscuous", "Maneater", "Say It Right" and "All Good Things (Come to an End)". After a three-year break, she released her first full-length Spanish album, Mi Plan. For Mi Plan, Furtado received the Latin Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Album. Furtado's fourth English-language studio album, The Spirit Indestructible, is set for release on September 18, 2012.
Daryl Hall (born October 11, 1946) is an American rock, R&B and soul singer, keyboardist, guitarist, songwriter and producer, best known as the co-founder and lead vocalist of Hall & Oates (with co-founder/guitarist/songwriter John Oates). Hall scored several Billboard chart hits in the 1970s and early 1980s, and is regarded as one of the best soul singers of his generation. Guitarist Robert Fripp, who collaborated with him in the late 1970s and early 1980s, has written, "Daryl's pipes were a wonder. I have never worked with a more able singer." Since late 2007, he has hosted the web television series, Live From Daryl's House. He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2004.
Daryl Franklin Hohl was born in Pottstown, a Pennsylvania borough 40 miles from Philadelphia. He started a recording career during and after attending Owen J. Roberts High School, from which he graduated in 1965 and entered Philadelphia's Temple University, majoring in music, while working with Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff as both an artist and session musician. Pursuing his goals in the big city, Hall quickly formed creative affiliations with such artists as Smokey Robinson, the Temptations and many other top soul singers of the 1960s.
John William Oates (born April 7, 1949) is an American rock, R&B and soul guitarist, musician, songwriter and producer best known as half of the rock and soul duo Hall & Oates (with co-founder/lead vocalist/songwriter/occasional instrumentalist Daryl Hall).
Though he was a primarily a guitarist he also co-wrote several songs including: "Sara Smile" (with Daryl Hall - a song that refers to Hall's then-girlfriend, Sara Allen), "You Make My Dreams" (with Sara Allen & Daryl Hall), "She's Gone" (with Daryl Hall), "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)" (with Sara Allen & Daryl Hall), "Maneater" (with Sara Allen & Daryl Hall), "Out of Touch" (with Daryl Hall), and "Adult Education" (with Daryl Hall & Sara Allen). He also sang lead vocals and has written or co-written a few less popular singles that did not make it to the Billboard's Top 10 such as: "How Does It Feel to Be Back", "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" (which was a remake of the 1965 song performed by The Righteous Brothers and written by Phil Spector, Barry Mann & Cynthia Weil, on which he shared lead vocals with Hall) and "Possession Obsession" (with Sara Allen & Daryl Hall). In addition to his work with Hall, Oates co-wrote and sang back-up on the song "Electric Blue" by the band Icehouse which was a Billboard Top Ten hit.
Wendell Reid Corey (March 20, 1914 – November 8, 1968) was an American actor and politician.
He was born in Dracut, Massachusetts, the son of Milton Rothwell Corey (October 24, 1879 – October 23, 1951) and Julia Etta McKenney (April 11, 1882 – June 16, 1947). His father was a Congregationalist clergyman. Wendell was educated in Springfield.
Corey began his acting career on the stage, doing a number of productions in summer stock. While appearing with a Works Progress Administration theatre company in the late 1930s, he met his future wife, Alice Wiley. Corey and Wiley had one son and three daughters, Jonathan, Jennifer, Bonnie Alice, and Robin.
His Broadway debut was in Comes the Revelation (1942). After appearing in a number of supporting roles, he scored his first hit as a cynical newspaperman in Elmer Rice's comedy Dream Girl (1945). While appearing in the play, Corey was seen by producer Hal Wallis, who persuaded him to sign a contract with Paramount and pursue a motion picture career in Hollywood.
This sentence I've wrote on my scars
Wrong words mark my steps
Right and loosen every broken bone
Blood drops behind
Growing arms passing time
Iron bridge, lust, gold
Stone
Stone vessel I've been in
Light the dark from my sins
Hollow skull
I've betrayed
Everytime we trust
You push it back in reverse
Those days went numb
You were the perfect one
I'm going down
The sea moved across these dirty lands
Snake eyes
Sharp teeth
Old lies
My release
Snake eyes
Old lies
Snake eyes
Take your time
Hope you're still breathing
Too late
Those flies are gonna eat your soul
Take your time
Hope you're still breathing
Too late
The sands will now fill your lungs
(x3)
Bet souls never pray
Dark age
Sinners and saints
No one lives with one eye
No one can live with one eye
As the saints come by
No one can live with one eye
Better lie while other lay
Slow down and turn
The sky is red
Fire will come
Burn
Burn
Your best will turn into the worst
You're broke
You'll burn into dust
Dust
Slow down
Live and learn
Soon you will stumble
When you're on your own
Burn
Burn
Your best will turn into the worst
You're broke
You'll burn into dust
Dust
What you've found now is lost
You found out how much it cost
Those who came they lied
And now they will be denied
His fight, his goal
Left broken, all alone
Last chance, last day
My beliefs
The fault I carry with
The pain I feel for the best of the path
Drama bones sun melting me
Slice brake
Lost faith
Lone son
Oceans turn
Night fights
Sharks
Ice blood release
What a lucky misery has been told
Waves
Thick walls
Ugly man creature
Dead by dead
Sad is to awake
Living as a hero by mistake
How far did we fly
For some we've returned
For most we've died
Climbing and seeking with my shadow
Hold on, oh no
Why are you burying me
Digging my hole
I'm still here holding my soul
I am eating worms
Feeling the storm above me
Oh no, hold on
Digging my hole
I'm becoming one of those
Watching the seasons going by this hole
I'm turning into a hero
The world
Clouds as I know
Should I walk away?
Pale faces empty soul
Take me away
New skin
Realize
Should I walk away?
They will never know
It's better to keep me today
Been out
Locked down
Never felt any worst
No destiny
Be me
I'll be gone
Deep I go
Drinking this ocean
Going low
Rock head blood
Soon I'll end up dead
The sun burns my eyes
Black hole
Sleeping for eternity
Nightmares setting my soul free
Cold as a rock
Thunders and rays
My heart is locked
I wish I could be back home
(The) sun is low
Trying to cast your soul with gold
(The) moon is high
It didn't work but was worth the try
Sore eyes
Reward
Deadly tracking
Further heaven
Dead over the sea
Reward
Battle I seek
Further hell
