Dingle (Irish: An Daingean / Daingean Uí Chúis, meaning "Ó Cúis' fort") is a town in County Kerry, Ireland. The only town on the Dingle Peninsula, it sits on the Atlantic coast, about 50 kilometres (30 mi) southwest of Tralee and 71 kilometres (40 mi) northwest of Killarney.
Principal industries in the town are tourism, fishing and agriculture: Dingle Mart (livestock market) serves the surrounding countryside. In 2006 Dingle had a population of 1,920. Dingle is situated in a Gaeltacht region.
The town was developed as a port following the Norman invasion of Ireland. By the thirteenth century more goods were being exported through Dingle than Limerick, and in 1257 an ordinance of Henry III imposed customs on the port's exports. By the fourteenth century, importing wine was a major business. Maurice FitzGerald, 1st Earl of Desmond, who held palatine powers in the area, imposed a tax on this activity around 1329. By the sixteenth century, Dingle was one of Ireland's main trading ports, exporting fish and hides and importing wines from the continent of Europe. French and Spanish fishing fleets used the town as a base.

In 2007 she won a Brit Award for Best British Female Artist; she had also been nominated for Best British Album. She won the Ivor Novello Award three times: once in 2004 for Best Contemporary Song (musically and lyrically) for "Stronger Than Me", once in 2007 for Best Contemporary Song for "Rehab", and once in 2008 for Best Song Musically and Lyrically for "Love Is a Losing Game".
Deborah "Debbie" Dingle (previously Jones) is a fictional character in the British ITV1 soap opera Emmerdale. She is portrayed by Charley Webb. She first appeared during an episode airing on 24 December 2002 and remained as a regular till 12 March 2010, when Webb left for maternity leave and she returned on 12 November 2010 and has remained as a regular since.
Webb told Gemma Graham from TV Buzz that the reason she "loves" playing Debbie is the fact she has always been a fighter. "Nothing will knock her down and if it does she'll get back up again". Webb said that she would not pick a fight with Debbie because she would win "any day".
Debbie arrives in the village as a new foster child for Paddy (Dominic Brunt) and Emily Kirk (Kate McGregor). When Debbie shows Sam Dingle (James Hooton) her only photo of her biological mother, he identifies her as Charity Tate (Emma Atkins). They eventually meet and she grows close to her step-father Chris Tate (Peter Amory). Debbie decides to find her biological father, Charity tells her it is Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and they spend some time together excluding Chris. When Chris dies; Debbie, Charity and Cain move into Pear Tree Cottage while Charity is on bail for Chris's murder. Debbie is upset when Charity is found guilty and moves into the Dingle household. When the house becomes over crowded she moves in with Andy Sugden (Kelvin Fletcher) and Daz Eden (Luke Tittensor). Debbie starts wearing make-up and shows an interest in males. Daz becomes attracted to her but Debbie is more interested in his brother Andy and local curate Ethan Blake (Liam O'Brien). Ethan helps her with her school work and she kisses him. Ethan rejects Debbie so she starts sleeping with Andy. Charity and Cain discovers their relationship, Charity is accepting but Cain tries to split them up by blackmailing Andy.

Terry, Terry
He said to me he wanted to be near to me
He said he never wanted to be out of my sight
But it's too late to give this boy my love tonight
Please wait at the gate of heaven for me, Terry.
He said to me he wanted to be close by my side
We had a quarrel, I was untrue on the night he died
And it's too late to tell this boy how great was
Please wait at the gate of heaven for me, Terry.
He rode into the night, accelerated his motorbike
I cried to him in fright, don't do it, don't do it, don.t do it.
He said to me you are the one I want to be with
He said to me you are the one who my love I shall give
One day he'll know how hard I prayed for him to live
Please wait at the gate of heaven for me, Terry.
