It's All About Hollywood
Berlyn: [referring to Joan Crawford] Someone said that she could discuss the arts with a Phi Beta Kappa.::Bette Davis: The tarts?
Berlyn: Rasputin couldn't write until he was an adult, but by the latter part of his life he was giving advice to the Tsarina on strategy for World War I.::Bette Davis: Who did he think he was, George Cukor?
Berlyn: I was developing the white face and undereye circles of a movie geek. But as Sam Goldwyn said of Ronald Colman, "He looks better when he's a little dissipated."
Berlyn: It occurred to me that in many ways Rasputin, the advisor and friend to the last Empress of Russia, resembled Joan Crawford.
Berlyn: As Camille said: "They say that in Russia, it's what you do not see which counts."
Berlyn: In this town secrecy always heightens the intensity of something.
Bette Davis: As I said to Jill Bennett on "The Nanny," always make love to your props.

Plot
Harry Williams, member of the rhythm & blues band, Bloodstone, is about to go onstage for a concert when he is hit on the head. The rest that follows is his dream. The four band members become conductors on a train filled with characters and (impersonated) actors from the 1930s, such as W.C. Fields, Dracula, and Scarlett O'Hara. Various songs are featured. The singing conductors are obliged to solve a mystery; Marlon Brando is murdering Nelson Eddy, Jeanette McDonald and others by suffocating them in his armpits. A wacky funeral, a fight with a gorilla, and the threat of being turned into a wax museum figure are all part of Harry's dream.

Marlon Brando, Jr. (April 3, 1924 – July 1, 2004) was an American movie star and political activist. "Unchallenged as the most important actor in modern American Cinema" according to the St. James Encyclopedia of Popular Culture, Brando was one of only three professional actors, along with Charlie Chaplin and Marilyn Monroe, named by Time magazine as one of its 100 Persons of the Century in 1999.
Brando had a significant impact on film acting, and was the foremost example of the "method" acting style. While he became notorious for his "mumbling" diction and exuding a raw animal magnetism, his mercurial performances were nonetheless highly regarded, and he is widely considered as one of the greatest and most influential actors of the 20th century. Director Martin Scorsese said of him, "He is the marker. There's 'before Brando' and 'after Brando'." Actor Jack Nicholson once said, "When Marlon dies, everybody moves up one." He was ranked by the American Film Institute as the fourth greatest screen legend among male movie stars.
