Samuel Paquet (born February 28, 1975 in Tourcoing, France), better known by his stage name, Mr. Sam, is a French techno/trance music DJ and producer.
Born in a small town listening to music from Giorgio Moroder, Klaus Schulze and Elvis Presley he began to get in touch with the outside world and later grew up with his first Depeche Mode purchase which dragged him into the synthesizer based genre of music. Electronic dance music became his aspiration, at age sixteen he decided to pursue a musical career in Belgium. By age eighteen he had begun playing at underground clubs in which he played trance which was a fast growing style at the time. He later received an invitation to play at a major club, La Rocca, in Belgium. He embarked on tours in which he played with other DJs at Portugal, Holland, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Corsica; he met Andry Nalin and played for 12 consecutive hours with him at a concert. Moving around Europe he managed to become resident at the clubs Lagoa, La Nova, Tour & Taxi, Pacha. It was not until 1999 when he was able to master and create his own remix for Diki Records which was Circuit Boys's "The Door", with the years he improved his remixing skills. In early 2000s he met Frederic de Backer and both worked under the alias Madrid Inc. with the song My Sunday’s Love which became a success and also marked his first steps to one of the most important dates in his life when Black Hole Recordings heard the July Summer Edition of Ministry Magazine’s free covermount CD with My Sunday's Love.
Mister, usually written in its abbreviated form Mr or Mr. (American English), is a commonly used English honorific for men under the rank of knighthood. The title derived from master, as the equivalent female titles, Mrs., Miss, and Ms, all derived from the archaic mistress. The title master was retained and used for boys and young men, but is now less commonly used. The plural form is Misters, or the abbreviation Messrs (UK) or Messrs. (US) ( /ˈmɛsərz/). This is an English abbreviation of the French "messieurs" (French pronunciation: [mesjø]), sometimes pronounced /ˈmɛsərz/ in English.
When addressing someone directly: Mr. is usually used with the last name only ("May I help you, Mr. Thompson?"). In other circumstances, it can be used with either the last name or the full name ("This is Mr. John Smith."; "Would you please help, Mr Smith?"). In formal written address, it is usually used along with the full name, or with initials and surname.
When a man's name is unknown, "mister" is sometimes used informally by itself in direct address, as in, "Hello, mister," or "Are you all right, mister?" rather than the standard form of address, "Sir". Though not necessarily meant disrespectfully, such use may to some people seem rude.
Kirsty Hawkshaw (born 26 October 1969 in London, UK) is a British dance/electronica/house/trance musician and songwriter. She is known for her participation as lead vocalist for the group Opus III, and her collaborative work with other musicians and producers.
Kirsty Hawkshaw is the daughter of the British production music/film music composer and disco record producer Alan Hawkshaw.
At a rave event in 1991 she was noticed by producers Ian Munro, Kevin Dobbs and Nigel Walton, who at the time were known as A.S.K. It was through this meeting that they would form a dance act called Opus III. Their first single, a cover version of the song "It's a Fine Day" from their debut album Mind Fruit was an international success and Top 10 hit on UK Singles Chart, and reached #1 on the US Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1992. A reversed sample of Hawkshaw's singing from this track was used in the Orbital track "Halcyon," the music video for which featured Hawkshaw. Opus III also had another US #1 hit on the same chart in 1994 with "When You Made The Mountain", from their second and final album, Guru Mother.
Andy Duguid (born November 16, 1982) is a Scottish DJ and producer. Although born in Germany, he moved to England before relocating to Scotland around 1990, where he has lived since. His best known singles, Don't Belong and Wasted, both featuring Gita Bakradze as Leah, were included on Tiesto's In Search of Sunrise-series in 2007 and 2008.
Andy started producing around age 14, after experimenting with keyboards and pianos for several years since he was 10. His first single Hypocrisy was released on Black Hole Recordings in 2006 and reached the 5th place in the Dutch Dance Charts. His next single, Don't Belong, was very well received and featured on In Search of Sunrise 6: Ibiza. In October 2007 before Wasted was created, Andy was asked by Black Hole to create an album so it would be released a year later.
After being asked to create an album, Andy released his single Wasted in 2008 which was included on In Search of Sunrise 7: Asia, the song became an opening track with Banyan Tree's Feel The Sunrise. In October 2008 Andy released his first studio album Believe, which features long time friend Leah also known as Alanah, Mr. Sam and his friend Solarstone, Esmaye who is also part of Black Hole's repertoire, Donna & Anthony, I-Fan and Julie Thompson whom he is currently helping to produce her first album to be released on Black Hole after her return to the dance scene with Tiësto's Somewhere Inside which had also appeared on In Search of Sunrise 6: Ibiza and included Andy's remix once it was released as a single on Magik Muzik. After the release of Andy's album and the death of his brother, he confirmed that he wrote White Sands together with his brother which is the last track on Andy's album.
Pat Benatar (born Patricia Mae Andrzejewski; January 10, 1953) is an American singer and four-time Grammy winner. She had considerable commercial success, particularly in the United States. During the 1980s, Benatar had two RIAA-certified Multi-Platinum albums, five RIAA-certified Platinum albums, three RIAA-certified Gold albums and 19 Top 40 singles, including "Love Is a Battlefield", "Hit Me With Your Best Shot", and "We Belong". Benatar was one of the most heavily played artists in the early days of MTV.
Patricia Mae Andrzejewski was born in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York City. Her Polish father, Andrew, was a sheet-metal worker, and her Irish mother, Mildred, a beautician. Her family later moved to North Hamilton Avenue in Lindenhurst, New York, a village within the Long Island town of Babylon.
Patti (as she was known)[citation needed] became interested in theater and began voice lessons, singing her first solo at age eight, at Daniel Street Elementary School, a song called "It Must Be Spring".[citation needed] At Lindenhurst Senior High School (1967–71),[citation needed] Benatar participated in musical theater, playing Queen Guinevere in the school production of Camelot, marching in the homecoming parade, singing at the annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, and performing a solo of "The Christmas Song" on a holiday recording of the Lindenhurst High School Choir her senior year.[citation needed]
You may believe in me
But I won't let you go with my soul
It's all around me
The season of red, green, and gold
The cold wind steals your memories
Fresh out of my mind
The sky will fix the broken emotion in my eyes
I find support in the air
I find support anywhere
I find support in the floods
Memories fly
To the peace that somehow survives
Deep inside
My hearts drum
Illuminated by time in sound
Breath it in
Remember
After love has gone
Knowing once it gave us freedom...
I get the insight sometimes
That you think I rely
But my mind often trips me up
Blinded as the switch flicks on
In a second you cast a shadow
But I won't live in your tomorrows
By your side standing alone (2x)
Da da da da da da da...
So you know me well
Better than I know myself
But I don't see you anymore
Coz I've been shining it all on you
I don't know what you expect me to do
When u see me
And you see right through....
Where did our love go
Whose feeding your ego
Can't you take some time for me
Whose waiting in the wings
I Bet that she don't sing
The way I do for you
In the morning
Da da da da da da da...
Blinded as the switch flicks on...
I get the insight sometimes
That you think I rely
But my mind often trips me up
I'm blinded as the switch flicks on
In a second you cast a shadow
But I won't live in your tomorrows
By your side
