http://www.longplays.org Played by: Ironsharp Tasmania Story is a successful 1990 film about a divorced and disillusioned Japanese businessman who, is now residing in Australia to search for the extinct Tasmanian Tiger as a result of an existential crisis caused by his quitting his successful job due to ethical disagreements he had with the company. The film follows his runaway & estranged son as he searches for his father during his spring break. Tasmania Story is also a 1990 "Mappy" clone that, in terms of plot, has absolutely nothing to do with the film other than sharing the name and having the film's poster as its cover. What a cash-in, right? At least the intro/ending theme is okay. Since the film has never left its native Japan, the Western release of the game that was used for this longplay has even less to do with the source material, and instead uses a rather generic cartoony cover. Watch until the end to see the big reveal!
