Plot
Imagine a guitar that could make your wildest dreams come true... and "all you have to do is play." When Jimi Lazer, front-man guitarist of the up-and-coming rock band LAZER US gets wind of this six-stringed magic, he pays a visit to the House Where Dreams Come True. Inside, a cloaked witch presents an ordinary stratocaster. "Is this it?" he asks. "This'll make me as famous as Hendrix?" The witch smiles and Jimi takes what he came for. But there's a catch. The cost is more than he is willing to pay. Realizing she won't let him back out of the deal, he now lives under a curse. Jimi takes the guitar and disappears. No one hears from him again. Twenty-seven long years pass. A mystery man in a black hat drives a beat-up van down a lonely road. He stops to read a sign in front of a vast field: "Welcome to Limbo". Then, as if led by a higher power, he gets out and walks to a distant horse trailer, opens the door and finds the long lost Jimi Lazer. The name of the man in the hat is Freedom; he is Jimi's old manager. He tells Jimi that he has had a vision... a dream... and he offers Jimi a chance to make his dream come true and also break the curse once and for all.

Emily Jackson lives a fast-paced life. Always on the go, able to talk around the clock, with a sensitive soul she loves playing matchmaker for her friends. It's Emily's gay roommate and frequent companion Peter, who becomes again the subject matchmaking skills when handsome new photographer assistant Paolo arrives at the Vogue offices, where Emily works. She makes it her mission to bring the two men together. Unfortunately for her, she is so busy arranging a love connection between Peter and Paolo that she remains completely blind to the one suitor who longs to provide her with the loving companionship that she so cheerfully arranges for others. And so it does make sense that Peter, a screenwriter in the making, starts telling the story from his own point of view.

Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: So stop living your life like you're in some kind of a movie.::Peter Simon: Excuse me?::Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: Stop trying to cast your true love instead of just meeting him.::Peter Simon: When I meet him, I'll know.::Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: I'm not so sure. Love isn't always a lightning bolt, you know? Maybe sometimes it's just a choice.::Peter Simon: Well, that's easy for you to say! You're flying to Argentina to meet the love of your life!::Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: That's just it. I don't know that Paolo's the love of my life, but I've decided to give him the chance to be. Maybe true love is a decision. You know, a decision to take a chance with somebody, to give to somebody without worrying whether they'll give anything back, or if they're gonna hurt you, or if they really are the one. Maybe love isn't something that happens to you. Maybe it's something you have to choose.::Peter Simon: So what do I do?::Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: Well, you could start by putting all of those fantasies of true love where they belong, into your work of fiction.
Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: ...We can't have you all alone in London on a Friday night.::Paolo Sarmiento: You make me sound like an exchange student.
Peter Simon: Jack's?::Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: Hmm?::Peter Simon: What are you doing?::Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: Reading this delicious recipe for beet root salad with margarine and balsamic vinegar dressing.::Peter Simon: What are you doing with James?::Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: Nothing.::Peter Simon: You broke up with him a month ago.::Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: I know. It's just sex. He fills a void. Literally.::Peter Simon: I don't see how you expect to meet someone new if you spend all of your time with your ex.::Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: Good point. Maybe I should get back together with James so I spend less time with him.::Peter Simon: I don't think it's funny.::Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: Neither do I.::Peter Simon: What's the point of shagging someone, ad nauseam, if you know you're never gonna love them?::Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: It's not so simple.::Peter Simon: He's in love with you, Jacks, and you're not in love with him. It doesn't get more simpler than that.::Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: That's not fair. I happen to care about James. A lot. And I hate the fact that he feels more than me, and I hate the fact that I'm not IN love with him because I know I should be, because he's smart and sweet and decent and I don't wanna hurt him. So I keep hoping that I'll grow into it. That maybe one day I'll wake up and I'll feel...::Peter Simon: What?::Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: In love! You know, dizzy and feverish and nausea.::Peter Simon: That's not love, Jacks. That's the flu.::Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: Well at least I'm trying, you big cynic.::Peter Simon: I'm not a cynic.::Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: Well, when's the last time you even considered falling in love?::Peter Simon: Today!::Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: I'm not talking about some character in a novel or a movie.::Peter Simon: Neither am I.
Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: An early departure? What are the chances of that? If this was a movie, there wouldn't be an early departure.::Peter Simon: If this was a movie, you'd be blonde.::Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: If this was a movie, you'd be famous.::Peter Simon: That's the problem with life. It's nothing like movies.
Therapist: Relationships are best measured by farting.::Peter Simon: Excuse me?::Therapist: The stages of a relationship can be defined by farting. Stage one is the conspiracy of silence. This is a fantasy period where both parties pretend that they have no bodily waste. This illusion is very quickly shattered by that first shy, "Ooh, did you fart," followed by the sheepish admission of truth. This heralds a period of deeper intimacy. A period I like to call the "Fart Honeymoon", where both parties find each other's gas just the cutest thing in the world. But, of course, no honeymoon can last forever. And so we reach the critical fork in the fart. Either the fart loses its power to amuse and embarrass thereby signifying true love, or else it begins to annoy and disgust, thereby symbolizing all that is blocked and rancid in the formerly beloved. Do you see what I'm getting at?
Talullah Riggs-Wentworth: So what's going on?::Peter Simon: Finlay thinks I should see his therapist.::Talullah Riggs-Wentworth: Finlay sees a therapist?::Peter Simon: Yeah. Some woman he says is really good with relationships.::Talullah Riggs-Wentworth: Maybe I should see her. I think I need to get in touch with my inner child.::Peter Simon: Talullah, if you get in touch with your inner child, you're going to need an inner nanny.::Talullah Riggs-Wentworth: I don't trust nannies. They're all whores.::Peter Simon: What about Mary Poppins?::Talullah Riggs-Wentworth: Slut.::Peter Simon: What are you talking abut?::Talullah Riggs-Wentworth: She left the convent, married Christopher Plummer, and then took all his children up the Alps.::Peter Simon: Speaking of 'The Sound of Music', where's Jacks?
Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: I don't want to be one of those awful characters out of a movie that gushes out their past while violins play.
Felicity Riggs-Wentworth: Tallulah! What's wrong with you?::Talullah Riggs-Wentworth: Genetics!

Only his victims know why...
Mark Miller: Don't be mad at me. I'm just doing my job.::Joy Walker: Your job is based on the misfortune of an abused child. You sicken me. And I wonder how you sleep at night.::Mark Miller: I sleep very rich.
[to Genesis]::Symphony: You know what? I wasn't the only one who was scared in the woods that night. As a matter of fact, you peed your pants.
Genesis: She flipped her fucking lid, Josh. The last time this happened...::Josh: It was over ten years ago. This is not last time. This is now.::Craig: So what exactly happened last time? Somebody's gonna have to explain to me why I just got my ass kicked by my girlfriend.::Genesis, Josh: She just had a bad dream.
Genesis: Are you trying to say I'm a slut? Well, I don't need friends like you and Symphony. I'm leaving you mofo's alone.::Josh: A mofo? I'm not the one sitting in the back seat of a car getting drunk because he got in a fight with my best friend. But what do I know? I'm a mofo.
Korkoro ("Freedom" in the Romani language) is a 2009 French drama film written and directed by Tony Gatlif, starring French actors Marc Lavoine, Marie-Josée Croze and James Thiérrée. The film's cast were of many nationalities such as Albanian, Kosovar, Georgian, Serbian, French, Norwegian, and the nine Romanies Gatlif found in Transylvania. The film also has a minor character that was played by an 11-year-old great-grandson of Django Reinhardt, a virtuoso jazz guitarist and composer of Manouche gypsy ethnicity.
Based on an anecdote about the Second World War by the Romani (Gypsy) historian Jacques Sigot, the film was inspired by the real story of a Romani who escaped the Nazis with help from compassionate French villagers, depicting the rarely documented subject of Porajmos (the Romani Holocaust). Other than the Romanies, the film has a character representing the French Resistance drawn from the true story of Yvette Lundy, a French teacher who had been deported for forging the passports for Romanies. Gatlif intended the film to ba a documentary, but the lack of supporting documents caused him instead to present it as a drama.
Don't understand
How I could be so blind
Something is changing
And I don't know why
Heaven knows how much I sacrifice
(I hear you, I hear you)
Now nothing in this world
Will ever change her mind
Freedom, what she needs
She wants freedom
'Cause she got dreams
In her heart it's time to go
A long way from home
Yes, it's a long way from home
I still remember
Her standing there
(Yeah, baby)
The sun was shining
On her soft brown hair
Well, all my life
Every tear I cried
I saw the future in her eyes
Now her heart says it's time to go
A long way from home
Freedom is what she needs
She wants freedom
'Cause she's got dreams
And I hope she knows she's not alone
'Cause it's a long way from home
It's a long way from home
I think about her and then I pray
That she'll be safe and warm
(Safe and warm)
I get on my knees
(Down on my knees)
Oh Lord
(Oh Lord)
Freedom is what she needs
She wants freedom
'Cause she's got dreams
Give her freedom to believe
Her heart says it's time to go
A long way from home
Such a long way from home
It's a long way from home
Freedom
(Uh huh, that's what I want)
Freedom
(That's what I need)
Freedom
(That's what I've got to have)
Freedom
(Oh baby, that's what I've gotta have)
Freedom
(Oh baby, baby)
Freedom
Freedom, freedom
(She needs freedom)
Freedom
(That's what she needs)
(She wants, she wants freedom)
Freedom, she wants freedom
(She's got to have)
This is my right
A right given by god
To live a free life
To live in freedom
Talkin' about freedom
I’m talkin' about freedom
I will fight for the right
To live in freedom
Any one
Tries to take it away
You will have to answer
Cause this is my right
Talkin' about freedom
I’m talkin' about freedom
I will fight for the right
To live in freedom
Yeah Oh
Talkin' about freedom
I’m talking about freedom
I will fight for the right
To live in freedom
Everybody talkin' about freedom
We're talking about freedom
We will fight for the right
To live in freedom
Talkin' about freedom
I’m talkin' about freedom
I will fight for the right
To live in freedom
Talkin' about freedom
We're talkin' about freedom
We will fight for the right
To live in freedom
We the people of the United States
In order to form a more perfect union
Stop pretending that you've never been bad
You're never wrong and you've never been dirty
You're such a saint, that ain't the way we see you
You want to rule us with an iron hand
You change the lyrics and become Big Brother
This ain't Russia, you ain't my Dad or Mother
(They never knew anyway)
'Cuz I never walk away from what I know is right
But I'm gonna turn my back on you
Freedom, we're gonna ring the bell
Freedom to rock, freedom to talk
Freedom, raise your fist and yell
Freedom to rock, freedom to talk
Freedom-ring
You're playing God from your ivory tower
Back off preacher, I don't care if it's Sunday
I ain't no angel, but I never felt better
We're a make-up metal generation
We're not as stupid as you want to make us
You better leave us man
'Cuz you sure can't take us
Nobody better tell you how to live your life
You gotta do it on your own
Freedom, we're gonna ring the bell
Freedom to rock, freedom to talk
Freedom, raise your fist and yell
Freedom to rock, freedom to talk
Freedom-ring
Cuz I never walk away from what I know is right
But I'm gonna turn my back on you
Freedom, we're gonna ring the bell
Freedom to rock, freedom to talk
Freedom, raise your fist and yell
"No" is just a word
That people say when they're afraid
And if you say "no" to me
Then I will fight you till I'm free
Say freedom, brotherhood
Justice, just say "yes"
Say freedom, brotherhood
Justice, just say "yes"
'Cause "no" is just a word
That people say when they can't cope
And if you say "no" to me
Then I will fight you till I'm free
Freedom, brotherhood
Justice, just say "yes"
Freedom, brotherhood
Justice, just say "yes"
'Cause "no" is just a word
That people say when they are lost
And if you say "no" to me
Then I will fight you till I'm free
Say freedom, brotherhood
Justice, just say "yes"
Freedom, brotherhood
Justice, just say "yes"
Say freedom, brotherhood
Dim and wavering on a wind blown night
Whose honor, whose anger, cold and quivering
As was the wind blown night
Into which she'd fallen, fallen
Freedom, well it's a thing that is fleeting
Freedom is standing next to you
Well, my intentions were clear
I was with him, everyone knew, poor little fool
Beautiful as you are with that high spirit
Morning star of evil hit me, cut me like a knife
Cool and collected, she became that with time
Totally rejected
Freedom, well it's a thing that is fleeting
Freedom is standing next to you
Well, my intentions were clear
I was with him, everyone knew, poor little fool
It's all in the eyes, it's all in the way that you look
It's all in the way that you say very little
It's all in the way that you talk
Look at me with daggers
It won't do you any good
All the looks that you've used on me
Don't work now that you've fallen, fallen, fallen
Freedom, well it's a thing that is fleeting
Freedom is standing next to you
Well, my intentions were clear
I was with him, everyone knew, poor little fool
Look at me with daggers
It won't do you any good
All the looks that you've used on me
Don't work now that you've fallen, freedom
All the looks that you've used on me
Don't work now that you've fallen, freedom
Freedom, everyone knew
Poor little fool, poor little fool, poor little fool
Everyday I hear a different story
People say that you're no good for me
So you love another
And she's making a fool of you
If you love me baby
Don't deny it
But you left me
And tell me
I should try it
Tell me I'm a baby
And I will understand
But to know that I'll forgive you
Just this once, twice, forever
'Cause baby
You could take me to heaven and back
Just as long as we're together
And you do
I don't want your freedom
I don't want to play around
I don't want nobody's baby
Part-time love just brings me down
I don't need your freedom
Girl all I want right now is you
Like a prisoner who has his own key
But I can't escape until you love me
I just go from day to day
Knowing all about the other boys
You take my hand and tell me I'm a fool
To give you all I do
Bet you someday
Baby
Someone says the same to you
But to know that I'll forgive you
Just this once, twice, forever
'Cause baby
You could take me to heaven and back
Just as long as we're together
And you do
I don't want your freedom
I don't want to play around
I don't want nobody's baby
Part-time love just brings me down
I don't need your freedom
Girl all I want right now is you
But to know that I'll forgive you
Just this once, twice, forever
'Cause baby
You could take me to heaven and back
Just as long as we're together
And you do
I don't want your freedom
I don't need to play around
I don't want nobody's baby
Part-time love just brings me down
I don't want your
I don't want your
I don't want your
I don't want your
I don't want your
I don't want your
I don't want your
I don't want your
Everything I have, everything I own
All my mistakes man, you already know
I wanna be free, I wanna be free
From Senegal, West Africa
To St. Louis, Missouri
Thanks to Catherine Dana
For giving my pops his glory
He came down with his drum
And a dream to change the world
In a free uplifting world
And that's all he ever want
Mom came a little after
Gave birth to my brother
Then all of the pressure
Made 'em fight one another
See, the pain would never last
Did the best with what they had
He knew the world was out for grabs
And he searched to find his
Freedom, freedom, freedom, freedom
Everything I have, everything I own
All my mistakes, man, you already know
I wanna be free, I wanna be free
So I search to find my
Freedom, freedom, freedom, freedom
Everything I have, everything I own
All my mistakes, girl, you already know
I wanna be free, I wanna be free
As a kid I never knew
I'd have to hustle just to make it through
So I found myself skipping school
'Cause the girls don't think I'm cool
And because of that I didn't care
Whether or not I went to jail
I just wanna be treated fair
'Cause that's all I ever knew
Telling me I need to slow down
'Cause everybody in the whole town
'Cause they know how I get down
Foreigner from another town
Can you believe we still around?
After so many hit the ground
And we ain't gon' stop now
Until we get that
Freedom, freedom, freedom, freedom
Everything I have, everything I own
All my mistakes, man, you already know
I wanna be free, I wanna be free
Won't stop till I find my
Freedom, freedom, freedom, freedom
Everything I have, everything I own
All my mistakes, girl, you already know
I wanna be free, I wanna be free
If you wanna be free, and the land is drug free
Put your hands up, put your hands up
If you wanna be free, from all your misery
Put your hands up, put your hands up
If you wanna be free, with plenty money
Put your hands up, put your hands up
If you wanna be free, just praise G O D
Put your hands up, put your hands up
Freedom, freedom, freedom, freedom
Everything I have, everything I own
All my mistakes girl, you already know
I wanna be free, I wanna be free, yea
What if someone said you couldn't say I love you
What if someone said you couldn't say your say
And wouldn't it be foolish if somewhere there was a rule
That said you couldn't wish a friend a happy day
What if someone said you couldn't say l'm sorry
Do you want to hear a thought to drive you wild
What if someone said you couldn't tell your baby
You're so proud to be the father of so beautiful a child
Freedom freedom freedom to say what you feel
Freedom freedom freedom to say what you feel
What if someone said you couldn't pledge allegiance
What if someone said you couldn't say your prayers
What if someone said you couldn't say your feelings
Unless your feelings coincide with theirs
Freedom freedom freedom to say what you feel
verse 1
where the spirit of the Lord is
there is freedom
where the spirit of the Lord is
there is freedom
lift your eyes to heaven
there is freedom
lift your eyes to heaven
there is freedom
chorus
freedom reigns in this place
showers of mercy and grace
falling on every face
there is freedom
Jesus reigns in this place
showers of mercy and grace
falling on every face
there is freedom
verse 2
ever time you're thirsty
there is freedom
every time you're thirsty
there is freedom
give you all to Jesus
there is freedom
give you all to Jesus
there is freedom
I wanna win
Freedom talk of freedom
I’m just a whim
I’m so trapped in boredom
I touch the shore
How can I get there
To go away just to be nowhere
Last night I dreamed
I died in my sleep
Only to awake
Laying in a coffin
You were my all
A poster at the mall
You took a fall
Said I'm gone close my eyes
Said I'm gon' live my life
Despite what you think
I'm gone be free I'm a be me
Yeah!
See I ain't never think I would have a situation where the people around me just envy I must replace them
See I always thought the people that watch me grow
Would want to see me blow fa'sho but little did I know
They ain't never really wanna see me smiling.
They couldn't take the fact that I was really shining
And in my heart I knew they was wishing I was stop
Cause they don't me to rise and be on top.
And all that jealousy and hate
Can be right in front of your face
And it's gone hurt for you to see
But it ain't your fault just let it be
So I'm gone close my eyes
And I'm gone live my life
Despite what you think Im'a be free cause Im'a be me.
See everybody wanna have something to talk about
So they pointing their fingers and always running their mouths.
No matter how you try to satisfy someone else giving so much of yourself yo love but it's never enough.
The more you give them the more want they ain't happy
And they don't see all you do to make 'em happy
They don't appreciate it till you walk away
But you don't want to hear by now it's too late.
And all that jealousy and hate
Can be right in front of your face
And it's gone hurt for you to see
But it ain't your fault just let it be.
So I'm gone close my eyes
And I'm gone live my life
Despite what you think Im'a be free cause Im'a be me.
What they don't understand is that Im'a keep livin my life and surviving
Im'a keep pushing and striving and climbing and grinding
Cause ain't no time to be crying I been providing with the strength to carry my way
And Im'a be ok cause I'm gone live my life my way
And u can say what u wanna say it wont affect the way I'm living I'm winning by being free again
So I'm gone close my eyes
And I'm gone live my life
People always tell me their life story
Love they've lost, their taste of glory
He sat next to me at the counter in the diner
Said I used to be Wall Street but this is much finer
Oh yeah
He had a leather look on a steel horse Harley
And a dark-eyed girlfriend he called Charlie
He looked a little lost walkin' out the door
But I think I knew what he was lookin' for
Freedom, sweet freedom
I gassed 'er up, climbed back in my cab
To my wife I'm a husband, to my kids I'm a dad
To the credit card companies I'm just another sucker
To the IRS, a long-haul trucker
Mmmm yeah
Some say that freedom's the power to do what one pleases
You can live like the devil or hold on to Jesus
I found the one thing I was born to do
And girl that's why I'm runnin' back to you
Freedom, sweet freedom
He climbed up in my truck with his green duffel bag
I knew he was a soldier 'cause I saw his dog tags
We talked about it, we cried about it
Then a steel horse Harley came roarin' on past
I knew it was Charlie hangin' on real fast
We talked about it, we laughed about it
Through the joy and pain that living brings
Don't we all want the same thing
Freedom, sweet freedom
It's what the junkie needs that the needle can't give
The oppressed and forgotten are praying for it
It's what the brave and courageous are fightin' for
An open sail on a distant shore
Freedom to have two mothers and all be friends
Freedom to terminate my fetus if it don't fit in
Freedom to kiss my brother right on the lips
Freedom to make my own concoction and take a sip
What a trip, blame it all on God
Freedom...
Freedom to pay for a killer to have TV
Freedom to get elected and set my own salary
Freedom to go out and join the KKK
Freedom to get in trouble for everything that I say
What a day, blame it all on God
Freedom...
Oh say can you see
To scam everybody and make a buck
To use your credit card number and press my luck
Freedom cut down the forest, make new disease
Freedom to pour everything we got into the seas
Would you please blame it all on God, we can blame it on God
Freedom...
Freedom heil Hitler!
Freedom hell, heil Geraldo
Freedom '90
George Michael
I won't let you down
I will not give you up
Gotta have some faith in the sound
It's the one good thing that I've got
I won't let you down
So please don't give me up
Because I would really, really love to stick around
Heaven knows I was just a young boy
Didn't know what I wanted to be
I was every little hungry schoolgirl's pride and joy
And I guess it was enough for me
To win the race? A prettier face!
Brand new clothes and a big fat place
On your rock and roll TV
But today the way I play the game is not the same
No way
Think I'm gonna get me some happy
I think there's something you should know
I think it's time I told you so
There's something deep inside of me
There's someone else I've got to be
Take back your picture in a frame
Take back your singing in the rain
I just hope you understand
Sometimes the clothes do not make the man
All we have to do now
Is take these lies and make them true somehow
All we have to see
Is that I don't belong to you
And you don't belong to me
Freedom
You've gotta give for what you take
Freedom
You've gotta give for what you take
Heaven knows we sure had some fun boy
What a kick just a buddy and me
We had every big shot good-time band on the run boy
We were living in a fantasy
We won the race
Got out of the place
I went back home got a brand new face
For the boys on MTV
But today the way I play the game has got to change
Oh yeah
Now I'm gonna get myself happy
I think there's something you should know
I think it's time I stopped the show
There's something deep inside of me
There's someone I forgot to be
Take back your picture in a frame
Don't think that I'll be back again
I just hope you understand
Sometimes the clothes do not make the man
All we have to do now
Is take these lies and make them true somehow
All we have to see
Is that I don't belong to you
And you don't belong to me
Freedom
You've gotta give for what you take
Freedom
You've gotta give for what you take
Well it looks like the road to heaven
But it feels like the road to hell
When I knew which side my bread was buttered
I took the knife as well
Posing for another picture
Everybody's got to sell
But when you shake your ass
They notice fast
And some mistakes were built to last
That's what you get
I say that's what you get
That's what you get for changing your mind
And after all this time
I just hope you understand
Sometimes the clothes
Do not make the man
I'll hold on to my freedom
May not be what you want from me
Just the way it's got to be
Lose the face now
I've got to live
I set my goals higher everyday
I make my own rules that I will obey
As long as I live
This is the life I was born to lead
A unique chance for me to express myself
And fulfill my dreams
I'm in control of this ship of mine
And everything will be just fine
Like the wind I'm free to go anywhere
I got my song, it dances in the air
Now I know what to do with my life
So you will hear my freedom call
All those bad things I once went through
Changed into blessings when I changed the point of view
I needed them to grow
I've changed so much, I'm finally free
To do what I want without feeling of guilt or fear
It's so amazing
I'm in control of this ship of mine
And everything will be just fine
Like the wind I'm free to go anywhere
I got my song, it dances in the air
Now I know what to do with my life
So you will hear my freedom call
Like the wind I'm free to go anywhere
I got my song, it dances in the air
Now I know what to do with my life
Freedom will come
To real love
Heaven will come
For real love
Do-wah, do-wah, do-wah
Run away when it hurts from the things that we do
Do-wah, do-wah, do-wah
Don't know why we cry, run away from the truth
Children of new men
Colors of human kind in shadow
Good is your loving
Growing and sharing storms
Believe
You've got to believe
Calling the day freedom will come
And we will arise to real love
Day by day, heaven will come
And we'll survive for real love
Cherish the union
The light in a stranger's eyes
Your guardian angel will make
All the wrong things right
Believe
You've got to believe
Do-wah, do-wah, do-wah
Do-wah, do-wah, do-wah
Do-wah, do-wah, do-wah
Do-wah, do-wah, do-wah
Calling the day freedom will come
And we will arise to real love
Day by day, heaven will come
And we'll survive for real love
Calling the day freedom will come
And touch the sky in heaven above
Day by day, heaven will come
And we'll survive for real love
Calling the day freedom will come
And touch the sky in heaven above
Day by day, heaven will come
And we'll survive for real love
Calling the day freedom will come
And touch the sky in heaven above
Day by day, heaven will come
Freedom, freedom
I'll believe in you
More and more I do
Freedom, freedom
Oh, I miss you so
Oh baby, please don't go
Freedom, gimme, gimme freedom
Every night and every day
I love you more than I can say
Freedom, gimme, gimme freedom
Another night, another day
I love you more than I can say
Oh more, more, you want more
Oh, it's you, my heart beats for
Oho, I'll never let you go
Don't stop, do it again
Love is like burning flame
Oho, I'll never let you go
Oh, I know it hurts me
But I want you so much, my baby
Oh, I know it hurts me
But I miss your touch
Freedom, gimme, gimme freedom
Every night and every day
I love you more than I can say
Freedom, gimme, gimme freedom
Another night, another day
I love you more than I can say
Oh, fun, fun all day night
There is love to satisfy
Oho, I'll never let you go
One, two, baby, it's true
I will make good love to you
Oho, I'll never let you go
Oh, I know it hurts me
But I want you so much, my baby
Oh, I know it hurts me
But I miss your touch
Freedom, gimme, gimme freedom
Every night and every day
I love you more than I can say
Freedom, gimme, gimme freedom
Another night, another day
I love you more than I can say
I'll believe in you
More and more I do
Freedom, freedom
Oh, I miss you so
Baby, please don't go
Freedom, gimme, gimme freedom
Every night and every day
I love you more than I can say
Freedom, gimme, gimme freedom
Another night, another day
I love you more than I can say
Freedom, gimme, gimme freedom
Every night and every day
I love you more than I can say
Freedom, gimme, gimme freedom
Another night, another day
I love you more than I can say
Freedom, gimme, gimme freedom
Every night and every day
I love you more than I can say
Chuh

God knows, turn wi loose, now
Sing along, a little song
An guh a ting like
Freedom, for some I am bawling
Babylon, yuh pull di chain from mi han
Mi still under yuh Babylon system
God knows, freedom, for some I am bawling
Oh Selassie I, Rastafarian calling

From the day mi know myself, man a born of mammal
Although yuh smart, dem sen yuh guh a Jamal
Teach yuh how fi spell gun and nuclear weapon
How fi spell politics and greet politician
Nowhere in the Bible, where those words come from?
Dem restore wi name an class us as African
When con is a short name for condemnation
I nuh know 'bout di I, I a true Ethiopian
Christopher Columbus, 'bout him discover island
Discover what when him come spot the Indian
An a him tun roun an all enslave black man
Mussolini an him friend, dem tief the gold and all di diamond
Who steal wi name, check the queen wheh deh a England?
A she build the pope and introduce Vatican
From Constantine, Julius and all Pope John
Now dem reach Paul I wonder if dem want to expand
Queen Elizabeth, all she is a next one
Well, mi naah guh too stress, me just a look a explanation
This is the word from the black man
Freedom, for some I am bawling
Babylon, yuh pull di chain from mi han
Mi still under yuh Babylon system
God knows, freedom, for some I am bawling
Oh Selassie I, Rastafarian calling
Beenie Man a sing a ting
I say man a true needle, kill the dragon and eagle
Murda di Pope wheh a defender of evil
Long time dem bwoi deh a pressure black people
Have wi like a slave, under chain and shackle
Now wi buss out inna muscle
Well, a long time mi deh warn dem fi look to the east
Warning to the dragon and the mark of the beast
Mek dem a galong suh like dem caan tun discease
Call on the Selassie wheh a blow all di breeze
Weeping, wailing, nashing of teeth
God judgment is only certain man see it
Pope Constantine, inna him grave an all a grief
This is no Pelican Brief, my speech
Freedom, for some I am bawling
Babylon, yuh pull di chain from mi han
Mi still under yuh Babylon system
God knows, freedom, for some I am bawling
Oh Selassie I, Rastafarian calling
Beenie Man a sing a ting
People, well, unnuh clean out yuh ears an listen to mi lyrics
Yuh nuh hear 'bout di Lieshah di ball head prophet
Word of Elijah, di man used to spread it
John di most righteous man yet still wasn't a prophet
He could not be God, dem haffi tun him inna baptist
This is the meaning of ma lyrics in these times

Well, him never reach far, prison wall di man face it
Malcolm X try an a coppershot end it
All try and dem beat it an kill it
Marcus Garvey try a fi rice dem, sell it
Only we inna di music business can stop it
Follow Beenie Man and all live it
Freedom, for some I am bawling
Babylon, yuh pull di chain from mi han
Mi still under yuh Babylon system
God knows, freedom, for some I am bawling
Oh Selassie I, Rastafarian calling
I am the voice of rebellion
From a city black with hate
Imprisoned by the rules you make
I never will be free
Even strangers cry
When they see this life
In these days of suffering
Black odyssey
Lost in the crumbling streets
Of a concrete land
When the moonlight hides
I prowl the night alone
Wake up, time for freedom
Open up your eyes and come with me
Wake up, time for freedom
Open up your mind and you'll be free
Look around, can't you see?
Listen hard, try to hear
Shattered screams crack the sky
Useless promises
Wake up, time for freedom
Open up your eyes and come with me
Wake up, time for freedom
Open up your mind and you'll be free
Look around, can't you see?
Listen hard, try to hear
Shattered screams crack the sky
Useless promises
Take away all our hopes
Bullshit walks, no one talks
Fuck the man who takes a stand
Beat him down, burn his land
Fight the fight, wipe your tears
Shattered screams crack the sky
Break away from your fears
Hey, come on
Wake up, time for freedom
Open up your eyes and come with me
Wake up, time for freedom
Open up your mind and you'll be free
Time for freedom
Crying for freedom
Dying for freedom
Time for freedom
Crying for freedom
You got my pride
hanging out of my bed
You're messin' around with my life
So I bought my lead
You even mess with my children
And you're screamin' at my wife, baby
Get off my back,
if you wanna get outta here alive
Freedom,That's what I want now
Freedom, that's what I need now
Freedom to live
Freedom, so I can give
You got my heart
speak electric water
You got my soul
screamin' and howlin'
You know you hook my girlfriend
You know the drugstore man
But I don't need it now
I was trying to slap it out of her head
Freedom, so I can give
Freedom, so i can give
Freedom, yeah
Freedom, that's what I need
You don't have to say that you love me
if you don't mean it
You'd better believe
If you need me
or you just wanna bleed me
you'd better stickin' your dagger in someone else
So I can leave
Set me free
(Yeah)
Right on, straight ahead
Stay up and straight ahead
the red grass, up to my knees
an aura comes towards me
someone's changed the formula
un-chaining another law
the structures, the colors
uniform chaos is alternating
the nature of things!
immense inertia
nearly nirvana
is this quest forever?
oceans of motion
a field of questions
I won't last forever!
How long are we gonna last
How long everybody has to ask
Freedom to joke
Freedom to hope
Freedom to win
Freedom to be in
How long are we gonna last
How long are we gonna have to ask
Freedom to joke
Freedom to hope
Freedom to win
Freedom to be in
It's time to rebuilding Dresden, the great machines come a-rumbling in
The desecration of the ruins and everything that might have been
You showed me the square in the melting snow
As the light was beginning to fade
But your melancholy eyes betrayed you
Just as you have been betrayed
I get culture shock coming back to the west - I can feel the wicked sting
I see the stores all glittering like idiot's gold beckoning the innocents in
The constructed face of a civilised world, complete cosmetic control
But it's not far back to the caves and the trees
And soon it will be time to go
Freedom? I don't hear any more songs of freedom.
121st street and rising the western dream aspires
The crack kings like to drive German cars and there's children up for sale
The streets are left scorched and barren
There's twenty-seven channels on the cable television
Get gang murder hype from Tinseltown to sell a movie about Malcolm X
But freedom? I don't hear any more songs of freedom.
So pinned down and what do we get?
A longer piece of rope for our cute little necks
Sweet liberty and her faithlessness
Now this is time for free your mind and your soul
Yo our official story has never been told
Ladies you got to demand what you want
And what we want is respect, right
Yo listen up on the track here
'cause you'll also have to deal with it right
Freedom every time for the sisters
Check this watch this
A here we go now
Listen if I'm poompa moo
I'll be the ruler like slick rick
Get with this quick witted
Adidas-wearing chick
Poppa got a brand new bag
Momma got a brand new jag
A gold tag I ain't no old hag
I represent not only in the kitchen
And the bedroom room
But also in the board room
So give me more room
Deny my opportunity
You in jeopardy
Yo-yo set me free
Don't hinder me
Let me be
My fightin' for freedom
I got the heat in case you need 'em
I'm a straight soldier
Ain't nobody told you
Hold up on them lies
I know your games and your plans
Do whatever you can to oppress demand
But when it's time to drop the bomb
Bring the funk and it's on
You say you never met a sister so strong
You're wrong now how can we be free
It takes you and it takes me
To blend together in harmony
And peace and love and all of the above
Sisters coming together representing one love
No disrespect but we gotta get it together
No matter what's the weather
Sisters gotta stick together
If sisters be stronger
Don't let 'em steer you wrong
Hold on 'cause sisters got it going on
Yeah
Chorus:
Let's free your mind and your soul
Don't let no guys go and take control
Because you're young and a you play the role
And our official story has never been told
Whoever said these are the things that you can do
And the things you ain't supposed to
So am I further when I think I'm getting closer
That's when I tend to think of rosa how was it
Took a seat to make a stand
But now in standing we've gotten more demanding
They never thought in planning
That a wish for us to sit would be a dose of
This fucking rollercoaster
Whether tradition or religion
Why you question my decision
Why you spend up all your time trying to
Get into my mind
Why everybody and they mama
Gots to add to all my drama mad drama
Hell if i'ma keep my dominating feministic hell
Creating crazysexycool black ass
In the palms of your player hater's stands
My only chance of being free is to fly within me
And it's illegal to kill a fucking eagle
A bird is never more important than my people
I guess we didn't need him so I took away his freedom
Chorus
My spiritual awareness leads me to believe
That you doubt in the sisters
That come with the peace we've been together
Since God created all of thee
African daughters celebration is in order
Pop the cork and give the champagne to the stork
That brought the lyte to my momma in new york
African I come again and again
You kick me down I get back up
I'm coming back in multiples of ten
You know where I come from
Slung from the belly of the beast
Used to speak african tongue
So I showed her next one bolder
Slung the devil over my shoulder
I'm getting over 'cause I'm bolder than the next
I'm enlightened 'cause I speak the real truth from the text
Who's next to flex with this s-i-s-t-e-r
The sun the moon the crest and the star
Wanna see how open you are
Chorus
Come and take a walk with me
Closer walk with thee
See what only I can see
Nobody knows the trouble I've seen
So it's back to the womb of everlasting life
And truth let the heaven of a
Sister embrace you and praise them other gods
Come into the light let it shine blackness is fine
The blackness of your skin
The blackness of your mind
I am who I am and that's who I be
And I don't give a damn if your eyes can't see
If you can't see what I can see
That you're blind baby bop
I'm a woman who's black so back up back up
'cause it's on i'ma tell you strong what's wrong
With the world that we're living on
It ain't who you know it ain't what you drive
It's about how you feel about yourself
On the inside when your self-esteem is low
And they call you a ho then they think you's a ho
But that ain't what the lord God made you to be
I need you to see you're black and you're free
Believe in freedom in love and fortune
And all we need
Is a peace of heaven
Believe in freedom in love and fortune
And all we need
Is a peace of heaven
Freedom, come on everybody
We all need love
Freedom, let's live for freedom
We all need love
I don't know what you're believin' in
Is it love or fortune
Or a fight to win
I don't know to what you say
This is the thing
Is it a peace of heaven
That makes you swing
Freedom is the MAGIC WORD
The only thing that will never hurt peace
Like in a movie scene
We try together
And start to scream
Yes! I know you want some more
From what I said just right before
So clap your hands
To the beat of the sound
Put your hands in the air
And back to the ground
I never saw a jam like this before
Back to the front
And door to door
If you want some more
Get on the floor
Love will come and that's for sure
Scream and scream it out of your soul
Try to escape and get out of control
Get out of control and save your soul
Stop this violence, say no no no
No more pain, no more lies
No more panic in the children's eyes
Freedom, believe in it
Take a piece of heaven
Sadness finds its way onto me
Yeah on any given day
And I just end up feeling guilty
And I don’t know how many times I’ve told you
I do not know how I ended up this way
It’s as if sometimes I have just halted
Yeah I stop dead in my tracks
Life it just seems to cover me
And it’s in these moments that I feel trapped
So I claim freedom
Yeah I claim my freedom
So what is it exactly that you want from me
Oh yeah you want me to stay
Even though I am terrified
To let myself
End up this way
Yeah I'm afraid of feeling
Of feeling nothing at all
And I’m afraid of settling down
Into a love
Just ain't love at all
So I claim my freedom
Yeah I claim I claim freedom
So take this brain out and hang it on the line
Take this chair out back and burn it
‘Cause I can't get any work done from in here
You know this hole I dug myself in
Has got me buried up to helpless
And I’d like to call you a liar
Yeah but that’s what you
Isn’t that what you always called me
Yeah I’d like to call you a liar liar
yeah but that’s what you
That’s what you always called me
So I claim freedom
Yeah claim I claim freedom
Take your eyes off me
There's nothing here to see
Just trying to keep my head together
And as we make our vow
Let us remember how
There's nothing good that lasts forever
Time out on the running boards
We're running
Through a world that lost it's meaning
Trying to find a way to love
This running Ain't no kind of freedom
Feel the touch of grief
You stand in disbelief
Can steal the earth from right beneath you
And falling in so far
They know just where you are
Yeah but there ain't no way to reach you
Time out on the running boards
We're running
Through a world that lost it's meaning
Trying to find a way to love
This running
Ain't no kind of freedom
Of freedom
Yeah yeah
It's time to clean these boots
Fold up these parachutes
The words goodbye but I can't say it
The end is close at hand I think we understand
There ain't no use trying to delay it
Time out on the running boards
We're running
Through a world that lost it's meaning
Trying to find a way to love
This running
Ain't no kind of freedom
Freedom freedom
Time out on the running boards
We're running
Through a world that lost it's meaning
Trying to find a way to love
This running
Ain't no kind of freedom
Of freedom
Freedom
Fasten on my mask
I'm bending to the task
I know this work is never finished
And if I close my eyes
I walk right by him and he's freezing his ass off
He could be dead and I'm supposed to walk away
I won't remember a thing come the summertime
Handful of quarters make me feel okay
Ah ah who's gonna have to pay
Ah ah who do I love today
I love what's mine cause what's mine is all mine
Gives me a reason to go get more
Don't really care where I go to get it
I ain't too clear about \"What's yours is yours\"
You take it for granted
I guess that's what it's for
But before you demand it
Take a look out your back door
If you don't like a single thing that I'm saying
If you're offended when I demonstrate
Don't mean a damn to me and I shall continue
Hope you won't mind if I control my fate
Ah ah who will I have to fight
Ah ah to defend my created right
I'll defend what's mine cause what's mine will be all mine
It's what I'd fight for what I'd bleed
I roll the dice on the grand experiment
While I am strong I will get what I need
You take it for granted
I guess that's what it's for
But before you demand it
Take a look out your back door
If you're concerned with the moral imperative
If you are tripping on the right thing to do
Come to my office with the exclusive screenplay
I think there's money in a book about you
Ah ah what have you got to lose
Ah ah when are you gonna choose
I choose what's mine so what's mine will be all mine
Gonna make a million on the folly of men
Don't even care about no consequences
Turn my damnation into chapter ten
You take it for granted
I guess that's what it's for
But before you demand it
You are a morning glory
Like sunlight on my face
You always bring me comfort
Returning me to grace
I am a broken soldier
My spirit's strong, but tired
My heart has turned to steel now
It's been forged by the fire
Chorus:
Freedom
Freedom
I will lead them
To Freedom
I unsheathe my sword in Freedom
And for that I stand tall
I will die if is needed
But not until the last man falls
And they won't let me get rest
As my sword sinks in their chest
I see two more right behind
I know ten more's by their side
As I watch twelve more of them die
(Repeat Chorus)
Freedom
Freedom
I shall redeem them
Oh, my honey, take my money
I do what I wanna do
Don't you know the sun is shining
I'm sure trying, I ain't crying
My feet won't touch the ground
I ain't got no more misery
Spread the word I'm living again
Tell the world I'm loving again
Don't you know I feel like giving again
Freedom
No more walking or fast talking
No thing's gonna wear me out
I'm sure glad I wasn't born a fool, yeah
Someday, baby, you'll be my lady
I know that it won't be long
We ain't got no more misery
Spread the word I'm living again
Tell the world I'm loving again
Don't you know I feel like giving again
Freedom
Oh, honey, honey, honey
Taking all my money
I do what I really wanna do
Oh, the sun is shining
I tried, I tried, I tried, I tried
I never, never cried
Oh, my feet won't touch the ground
I ain't got no more misery
Spread the word I'm living again
Tell the whole world I'm loving again
Don't you know I feel like giving again
Freedom, this is what I call freedom
Well, I wanna say, I wanna tell you
I wanna say when you can do what you wanna do
And go where you wanna go
And live where you wanna live
And love who you wanna love
And be what you wanna be
Join what you wanna join
Well, well, well, that's freedom
Yeah, yeah, freedom, yes sir
When you can learn what you wanna learn
And read what you wanna read
(Free, free, free)
And write what you wanna write
(Free, free, free)
Do what you feel is right
(Free, free, free)
Hey, hey, hey, hey, freedom, freedom
Oh yeah, freedom, freedom, freedom
Oh yeah, freedom, oh that's freedom, freedom
Freedom, freedom, freedom, freedom, oh yeah
Free, free, free
Free, free, free
Free, free, free
Free, free, free
When you can eat what you wanna eat
And sleep where you wanna sleep
And say what you wanna say
I like the children play what they wanna play
And work when you wanna work
Flirt when you wanna flirt
Oh, that's freedom, freedom, freedom, freedom
Freedom, freedom, freedom, freedom
When you can laugh when you wanna laugh
And cry when you wanna cry
(Free, free, free)
And don't have to feel ashamed
(Free, free, free)
Sing the song you wanna sing
(Free, free, free)
When you can buy what you wanna buy
(Free, free, free)
When no one to ask you why
(Free, free, free)
Dress the way you wanna dress
(Free, free, free)
Just because you feel the space
(Free, free, free)
Rock the way you wanna rock
(Free, free, free)
Talk the way you wanna talk
(Free, free, free)
Shake the way you wanna shake
(Free, free, free)
No one to put you at
(Free, free, free)
Oh, that's freedom, freedom
Freedom, freedom, oh yeah
Freedom, that's freedom, freedom, freedom
Freedom, freedom, freedom, freedom
Freedom, oh, freedom, freedom, freedom
I like the lights when they hit your face
You're as good as blind, it blackens out your gaze
And we're on fire but I'm too caught in you to care
Let's walk away into the night
It's getting late but we're right on time
You and I wanna be nameless for a little while
So raise your hand, one fist in the air
For freedom
For being alive, not having a care
For freedom
'Cause tonight is the night
Where we break the speed of light
So stand up, come alive
Liberate yourself 'cause freedom starts tonight
Stand up, stand up, stand up, stand up
Stand up, stand up, stand up, stand up
I love the night, the way it covers us
You're acting shy, but you're curious
Let's play with fire cos we're too deep in this to care
So raise your hand, one fist in the air
For freedom
For being alive, not having a care
For freedom
'Cause tonight is the night
Where we break the speed of light
So stand up, come alive
Liberate yourself 'cause freedom starts tonight
Stand up, stand up, stand up, stand up
Stand up, stand up, stand up, stand up
Freedom!
Tonight, tonight we're gonna live our lives
Tonight, tonight we're gonna live our lives
Say freedom!
Freedom!
Freedom!
So raise your hand!
Freedom!
So raise your hand, one fist in the air
For freedom
For being alive, not having a care
For freedom
'Cause tonight is the night
Where we break the speed of light
So stand up, come alive
Liberate yourself 'cause freedom starts tonight
Stand up, stand up, stand up, stand up
Stand up, stand up, stand up, stand up
no time for anything at all
no time to reason or question direction
but I won't let myself fall
I'll just keep pushing 'til the end
I hope that I will find my way
when it's all been said and done
I really think you'll miss it once it's gone
as time passes I get scared
where will I end up and will it be good enough
will it work itself out
or will I be stuck here once again
I'll keep my eyes open wide
and try not to blink
it's just a matter of knowing where to look
cause sometimes things fall apart,
my walls crumble on me,
but I'll keep trying, and trying,
Oh, I know they say someday time will show me
How to be so cool someday but what about right now
Please someone tell me what do I do while I'm waiting
Waiting to be so cool someday
I know I'm not alone you know just how I feel
We both know the rules but who really knows
How to play this game?
No one will always win, good losers hide the pain
They say everything is fine
No one will hear them complain
But behind those smiles, so much purple rain
It's a wonder anybody ever comes out sane
But they do and freedom it's all up to you
When you're by yourself you get that silent noise
Inside your mind all the party boys trying to fill up
All the empty holes don't let one be her soul
Freedom now you're on your own
Freedom or does it really mean you're just all alone
Freedom either way it's gonna take you home
It just takes you by the hand and says
Now it's time to grow
So my friend you're gonna be alright
Seems like it's all uphill
But then that's the only way to get high
Someday your soul is gonna fly
But don't look back 'cause that's a waste of time
And right now is the time for you to look inside
And you'll see love, love has never gone away
Freedom I've been standing still so long
Freedom I almost forgot you had a song
Freedom shine your light and let us begin
Jesus is the One that makes me never
Ever want to spend another day without Him
Jesus is the One who shows me every time
I turn around that I could never doubt Him
Jesus is the One that makes me want to shout the news
Above the rooftops
Shout the joyful news and let the people know
That Jesus is the Lord!
Jesus is the One who changes slowly
All the evil things that dwell so deep inside me
Jesus is the One who cares forever
Never let me down and never failed to guide me
Jesus is the One that makes me want to shout the news
Above the rooftops
Come on, let's shout the joyful news
And let the people know that Jesus is the Lord!
HE'S THE LORD!
He'll do the same for you!
(He'll give you freedom)
He's reaching out for you!
(He'll give you freedom)
He's the only One who's true
(He'll give you freedom)
He'll set you free
He'll set you free
He'll set you free
He'll set you free
He'll set you free
All He wants to do is to show you His love, and to comfort you
Free free
Free free
I could be wrong but are you telling me that you're leaving (ooh),
And so then you've temporally lost your mind,
And now you're checking your phone and you've noticed it's not ringing (waoh),
And the one that you wanted to call you pushed out your life,
Now you're telling me it's me that you're needing,
Funny you didn't say that when you where leaving oh,
You just walked out the door,
I gave you all the love that you wanted from me,
Now tell me are you really free,
Tell me are you really free,
Cause you wanted freedom [x2]
You said our love was a cell so I gave you the key to break out,
I would have done it before it saved us both some time,
But isn't it ironic don't you think,
You couldn't stay to long without me,
I know your gonna miss miss miss my kiss kiss kiss so why'd you kiss this this away,
Now you're telling me it's me that you're needing,
Funny you didn't say that when you where leaving oh,
You just walked out the door,
I gave you all the love that you wanted from me,
Now tell me are you really free,
Tell me are you really free,
Cause you wanted freedom [x2]
Looks like it's [? ] Your way,
Looks like you got just what you asked for babe,
You know you read what you saw,
Now you're in the land of a broken heart,
Girl I can escape out where you are,
Baby what's wrong,
I gave you all the love that you wanted from me,
Now tell me are you really free,
Tell me are you really free,
Everyday i listened to you and nothing's ever good enough
you're always complaining about something you act so goddamn tough
but all you ever do is let someone do your thinking for you
and you have no respect for my opinion
well at least i think for myself i`m not brainwashed
to think like people that rule
i'm not a pool and i'll rise i wont compromise
and i'll never give up, i won't walk walk walk away
there won't be another day when i can say hey hey hey... freedom
you talk to me i see your lips move
but the words that come out aren't yours they're someone elses
you dangle from their strings beneath the wings
of the eagle you push but i'll never fall
i'm not the only one whose willing to stand up..
we've had enough your laws just benifit you
we watch you get richer as we get sicker
Freedom
Freedom
Wanna thank you
Freedom
There's nothing in the world
i wanna drive, i wanna get the car, and never look back, i want forever, i wanna stop the clock, and take my time, i want forever, i wanna not realize, what's coming in the end, i wanna live, i wanna never die, but not live too long, i wanna jump, but it's a long way down, i don't wanna get hurt, i wanna ride into the sunset, don't think about tomorrow, i know i cant, some dreams are better left for dreaming, time has a way of sneekin up on you and then tearin you apart, i wanna be free, i wanna have fun all of the time
Freedom
Same old story, nothings changed.
Only the rules have been rearranged.
You treat the losers commodity.
Act to someone yourself by day to day
Whats going on?
Whats going on?
Freedom
Freedom
Freedom
Blinded by ex-cons ready made
Net to a heros own, nothing paid
Ex-murderers up in a tree
Lets start a drink called Anarchy
Chorus
Listen while I tell ya - Each and Everyone
About the state our planet's in and what should be done
Wheels of Freedom turning backwards on themselves
Liberty is burning - in this Hell, this Cosmic Cell
Freedom for the people - Humanity and all Mankind
Liberate your Soul and Mind - It's waiting for you all to find
But getting it together is what I'm talking about
Ain't got time to argue - Just time to turn it out
Look into the future - Just tell me what you see
If we don't love each other - There'll be no harmony
Freedom for the people - Humanity and all Mankind
Liberate your Soul and Mind - It's waiting for you all to find
Free wheel keep turning - Open up your mind
Star-spangled stairway - That you're waiting to climb
It's just a bummer - they're fascist rules
Police and Politicians - Pushing on you
Father of Creation - Master of this Tomb
Universal Messiah - Motherfucking King of Doom
We don't ask forgiveness - For our sins against you Lord
Ain't got no halo, no wings to fly away
I've got to labor, for many many days
I'm on a journey, I'm looking for a place
To rest by burdens, far from this tyranny
From the shores of Africa
Up to the doors of America
With voices to Heaven praying for liberty
We cry freedom
(Freedom, freedom, freedom)
Said we cry freedom
(Freedom, freedom, freedom)
Yeah we cry freedom
(Freedom, freedom, freedom)
Yeah we cry freedom
(Freedom, freedom, freedom)
We marched in 'Bama
We marched in Tennesee
Brown men and white men
Stood for equality
We kept our chin up
We kept our dignity
And our proclamation
Let everbody sing
From the shores of Africa
Up to the doors of America
With voices to Heaven praying for liberty
We cry freedom
(Freedom, freedom, freedom)
Said we cry freedom
(Freedom, freedom, freedom)
Lord we've got freedom
(Freedom, freedom, freedom)
Yeah we cry freedom
(Freedom, freedom, freedom)
Up on Golgotha, hangin' upon a tree
They say the God-man, died for my liberty
He heard me crying
From my captivity
And so he came down
Down to deliver me
Woah, woah, woah, woah
From the shores of Africa
Up to the doors of America
With voices to Heaven praying for liberty
We cry freedom
(Freedom, freedom, freedom)
Said we cry freedom
(Freedom, freedom, freedom)
Said we cry freedom
(Freedom, freedom, freedom)
Oh we cry freedom
(Freedom, freedom, freedom)
Our hearts cry freedom
(Freedom, freedom, freedom)
My heart cries freedom
(Freedom, freedom, freedom)
Your heart cries freedom
(Freedom, freedom, freedom)
His heart cries freedom
Every dawn becomes a new day
A time to love, a time to cry
Every river knows it's own way
And it's the same for you and I
And every heart must have a reason
A winding road, a midnight flight
(Chorus)
Freedom, freedom
What we all need, is freedom in our hearts
Freedom, freedom
What we all need, is freedom in our hearts
We fight and die defending honor
The pride and prejudice we hide
A mother's tears, a father's anger
From trying to stop the pain and lies
So we pretend to look for answers
While I blame you and you blame me
(Repeat Chorus)
We don't need the pain anymore
To move our mountains, to reach our shores
What I've found is the choice I bring
What I can do to let freedom ring
(Repeat Chorus)
Freedom from the darkness
Freedom from the violence
Freedom from the hate
Freedom from the fear
Freedom from the hunger
Freedom from the forgiveness
Freedom from the past
Freedom from the mistakes
(Repeat Chorus)
(Repeat Chorus)
Tell the people now
Freedom, freedom
What we all need, is freedom in our hearts
Freedom, freedom
What we all need, is freedom in our hearts

{Yami Bolo}
It- been so long We›e been in captivity.
People wishing one day to be free.
{Snow}
Waiting to see the day when freedom will come.
Mama working hard in the burning sun.
I wish the world were truly happy living as one living as one.
Wish the word they call freedom one day would come.
I may bee just a foolish dreamer.
But I don˜ care.
{Yami Bolo}
Freedom rushes freely trough the air.
CHORUS
Freedom more freedom don˜ turn them down don˜ turn them down.
Freedom more freedom don˜ turn us down don˜ turn us down.
{Snow}
Although they›e no love for Humanity
{Yami Bolo}
How could you ever sell your brother man in slavery.
{Snow}
In word of injustice crimes and poverty.
Organize and set your lives in one I-nity was meant to be.
{Yami Bolo}
Overcome material gain petty prejudice system.
Too long poor people have been the victim.
I wish that one day when freedom comes.
For each and every man to see the morning sun.
CHORUS
I tried to live six years ago
When this story started
The sun, it told me where to go
Open minded, open hearted
Freedom was my vision
Every breath a dream
A million years ahead
All is what it seems
Freedom was my vision
Every breath a dream
Or are you taken by surprise
Covering your sleepy eyes
The mocking bird won't sing for you
What ever happened
To these friends I knew
These friends I knew
Or was it just a dream
But dreams are for real
Life is how you feel
Freedom is my vision
Every breath a dream
A million dreams ahead
And they're all for real
Freedom is my vision
Every breath a dream
Every dawn becomes a new day
A time to love, a time to cry
Every river knows its own way
And it's the same for you and I
And every heart must have a reason
A winding road, a midnight flight
[Chorus:]
Freedom, freedom
What we all need is freedom in our hearts
Freedom, freedom
What we all need is freedom in our hearts
We fight and die defending honor
The pride and prejudice we hide
A mother's tears, a father's anger
From trying to stop the pain and lies
So we pretend to look for answers
While I blame you and you blame me
[Chorus]
We don't need the pain anymore
To move our mountains, to reach our shores
What I've found is the choice I bring
What I can do to let freedom ring?
[Chorus]
Freedom from the darkness
Freedom from the violence
Freedom from the hate
Freedom from the fear
Freedom from the hunger
Freedom from the forgiveness
Freedom from the past
Freedom from the mistakes
[Chorus]
Tell the people now
Freedom, freedom
What we all need is freedom in our hearts
Freedom, freedom
Night, is the time for the hunger
Through these rooms, you and I, we wander
Too much, too long, holding back the tears
I wait, do hard labor and I count the years
Hey, soon the angels will unlock the sun
Break away these chains, yeah, and turn away the gun
Nothing is better than the freedom
Yeah, nothing is better, yeah, than the freedom
Let the law take a man from his family
See the evil on the fences down the highway
Too bad, so sad to be on the lam
(Too bad, so sad)
From my home I must crawl on my knees and hands
Hey hey, and soon the angels will unlock the sun
(Soon the angels will unlock the sun, hey hey)
Break away these chains, yeah, and turn away the gun
Yeah, nothing is better than the freedom
(Nothing is better, nothing's better than the freedom, oh yeah)
Yeah, nothing is better than the freedom
(Oh, nothing, nothing's better)
Yeah, nothing is better than the freedom
(Nothing, nothing's better, nothing's better than the freedom, oh yeah)
Yeah, nothing is better than the freedom
(Nothing, nothing's better)
Nothing is better than the freedom
(Nothing's better than the freedom)
Nothing is better than the freedom
Yeah, nothing is better than the freedom
(Nothing, nothing's better, nothing's better than the freedom)
Nothing is better, yeah, than the freedom, yeah
(Nothing, nothing's better, freedom)
(Is better, is better than the freedom)
Ooh baby, nothing, nothing is better
(Nothing, nothing is better)
(Ain't nothing, ain't nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing)
Nothing's better, yeah hey
Come
Bring it on, bring it on now
Solo, I'm a soloist on a solo list
All live, never on a floppy disk
Inka, inka, bottle of ink
Paintings of rebellion
Drawn up by the thoughts I think
Come on, oh
You see a set up like a deck of cards
They're sending us to early graves for all the diamonds
They use a pair of clubs to beat the spades
With poetry I paint the pictures that hit
More like the murals that fit
Don't turn away, get in front of it
Brotha, did you forget your name?
Did you lose it on the wall playin' tic-tac-toe?
Yo, check the diagonal, three brothers gone, come on
Doesn't that make it three in a row?
Your anger is a gift
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Drop it
Sista, did you forget your name?
Did you lose it on the wall playin' tic-tac-toe?
Yo, check the diagonal, three million gone, come on
'Cause you know they're counting backwards to zero
Environment, the environment exceeding on the level
Of our unconsciousness
For example what does the billboard say?
Come and play, come and play, forget about the movement
Forget about yourself's
Forget about your culture
And forget about your history and just fly
And just fly
Your anger is a gift
Yeah yeah
Bring that shit in
Freedom for the real
Freedom for the real
Freedom for the real
Freedom for the real
Freedom for the real
Freedom for the real
Freedom, yeah
Freedom, yeah right
Shoulders of perfection
Let them drag you straight across
And tell me
Have we found perfection
Are we finally lost and
I'm staring from a distance
Why don't you come get a closer look
I can guarantee that lickin' the package
Ain't ever quite as good as
So they're looking for a new face
With a voice to go along
I can tell you right now that ain't my style
I don't do no sing alongs
With my freedom from the mighty sky to the ground
She said you've got the freedom baby
Walk out if they drag you down
Standin' on the edge of a crisis
We decide to raise our own voices
Consider that the sounds is our own
And the fact our feet grow up from the ground
This is where I wanna be
This is who I wanna be
So they get my voice
But they can they can never get my soul yes
There's a million things about me
You will never know
Like they caught me on video
And yeah they caught me on radio yeah
They caught me on video radio stereo
Freedom from the mighty sky to the ground
She said you've got the freedom to walk out
If you drag me down
You've got the freedom baby to walk out
If they drag you down
If they drag you
If they drag you
Back in the Bible there was that old Pharaoh
Who ruled over Egypt and Israel.
God Spoke to Moses through fired up bushes
Said kick off your shoes and stay a while
All of humanity was made to Worship me
Pharaoh get out of my way
Freedom to dance
Freedom to sing
Freedom to grow
I'm telling you Pharaoh let my people go
We live in a country supposedly pharoahless
But all over town and in churches abide
Powerful weaklings who practice their politics
Stealing from Jesus his beautiful bride
Whether you're Pharisees, Sadducees, heresies
Free free
Free free
I could be wrong but are you telling me that you're leaving (ooh),
And so then you've temporally lost your mind,
And now you're checking your phone and you've noticed
it's not ringing (waoh),
And the one that you wanted to call you pushed out your life,
Now you're telling me it's me that you're needing,
Funny you didn't say that when you where leaving oh,
You just walked out the door,
I gave you all the love that you wanted from me,
Now tell me are you really free,
Tell me are you really free,
Cause you wanted freedom, (x2)

You just walked out the door,

Tell me are you really free,
Cause you wanted freedom, (x2)
Looks like it's not going your way,
Looks like you got just what you asked for babe,
You know you read what you saw,
Now you're in the land of a broken heart,
Girl I can escape out where you are,
Baby what's wrong,
I gave you all the love that you wanted from me,
Now tell me are you really free,
Tell me are you really free,
You got me thinking
I'm really thinking
Don't want a palace, just a roof
You tend to melt, I'm waterproof
You got me thinking
I'm merely thinking
You wanna drop, make sure you bounce
You need a little don't take an ounce
The book we're living in
I read it twice
And I don't want the plot to change
Although it's beautiful
And you are lovely
Still I'll be damned if I let you take my
Freedom, freedom
Freedom, freedom
You got me thinking
Yeah, I'm merely thinking
You wanna grow, you'll have to learn
To put it out, it has to burn
How am I gonna tell you stuff
That I don't know myself
You need a minute, don't take an hour
I'll drink the milk, but not when it's sour
This book we're living in
I've read it twice
And I don't want the plot to change
Although it's beautiful
And you are lovely
Still I'll be damned if I let you take my
Freedom, freedom
Freedom, freedom
This book we're living in
I've read it twice
And I don't want the plot to change
Although it's beautiful
And you are lovely
Still I'll be damned if I let you take my
Freedom, freedom

If you drag me down
You've got the freedom baby to walk out
If they drag you down
If they drag you
If they drag you
Walk out
Zips up her warm leather jacket
Sits on the back of his bike
And with the sun rising from behind
The road of freedom they ride
High on love and adventure
Another weekend escape
To touch the wind and make fire burn
Sleep in a wood and feel the earth turn
A time to forget trouble
A time to heal the soul
No counting days by the hour
Good feelin's go with the flow
Freedom - that's what they call it
Freedom - it's all worth the fight
Freedom - don't waste your life away
Freedom - take the time to unwind
Bob and Jill are two friends of mine
Their days are counted you know
Both HIV positive
I'll really hate to see them go
Can't go waste your life away
Find the time, enjoy the day
Live it, love it, fight it, feel it
Spread your wings and fly away, yeah!
Why can't I understand you, you made me believe
You showed me how to live, but now you make me feel so
For something I did ages ago, I didn't mean to hurt you
I'm trying to make this heal, don't look down on me
See me as I am, I'm letting you go free
I'm letting you go free
Sometimes I hear you cry, if you could only trust me
I will help you through, will you accept my words
It's a promise.
I'm trying to make this heal, don't look down on me
See me as I am, I'm letting you go free
Don't wanna be a martyr in this war
Don't wanna hear the same excuses anymore
That everything's a threat
And it's only gonna get worse if we let it
Don't wanna blame the rich for what they got
Don't point a finger at the poor for what they have not
Though the politician and the priest
Live in the belly of the beast because we fed it
Freedom is seldom found
By beating someone to the ground
Telling them how everything is gonna be now, yeah
Now if the tables were turned tell me how you would feel
Somebody busted up into your house telling you to stay still
While the leaders will deny defeat
Innocents they testify by dying in the street
Freedom is seldom found
By beating someone to the ground
Telling them how everything is gonna be now
Freedom is seldom found
By beating someone to the ground
Freedom, freedom
Is this freedom?
Is it freedom?
Because I've been fighting wars I'll never win
Been losing all my life
Is this freedom?
Is this freedom?
Too high, too low
Too young to know
Too high, too low
Too quick, too slow
All my life, all my life
Freedom, freedom
Is this freedom?
Is it freedom?
Because I've been searching for that harvest moon
Been searching all my life
Is that freedom?
Is that freedom?
Too high, too low
Too young to know
Too high, too low
Too quick, too slow
The sun is setting on my lonely heart
In this cheap motel
What I though would be brand new start
Is just a prison cell
Independence was calling my name
Screamin' in the wind
Sayin', Son you need a change
But now these walls are closin' in
Chorus:
'Cause freedom's just a prison
For a fool like me
Chains around my heart
Ain't liberty
You left me standin' tall
But now I'm beggin on my knees
You've still got me (oooo, still got me)
So baby, unlock me(ooo, unlock me)
From this freedom
My soul is burning for that sweet release
Where only moonlight can find us
Hey, I miss your kiss, I miss you holding me
And all the ties that used to bid us
Chorus:
Freedom's just a prison
For a fool like me
Chains around my heart
Ain't liberty
You left me standin' tall
But now I'm beggin on my knees
You've still got me (oooo, still got me)
So baby, unlock me (ooo, unlock me)
From this freedom
(repeat chorus)
Yeah! You've still got me (you've still got me)
So baby, unlock me (oooo, unlock me)
From this freedom (freedom)
I can't take this freedom (freedom)
I emerge and my soul flies free like a bird
I see you shine under the surface
You are as free as a lonely star on the deep sky
Spread your wings and fly with me,
don't fear that you have a choice
Somewhere there should be an awakening of wisdom
warning us of danger games destroying on behalf of misery
No passions that will break the harmony of souls
dwelling in darkened woods, keeping all secrets
People have come very far with their pain, waiting for you
But with lower-cased intelligence and guns keeping us a target
equality remains a mathematical symbol
We will not understand
What hides in the Universe
Freedom...
I emerge and my soul flies free like a bird
Waiting for you
I see you shine under the surface
You are as free as a lonely star on the deep sky
Chorus (Porsha & Anita)
I want my freedom, full freedom, full freedom, mmm, hmmm x2
Verse 1
As I look in the mirror I see the picture gettin clearer
On the rip of this straightest of the life that I live
But uh I see em comin before they approach
Just like a stafty slot until you circle with hope
I maintaining on your legendary dreams and stack
Making million dollar moves with many platinum plaques
Negotiate your freedom, you catchin CRP
>From the court from blue, come many nights no sleep
What's the scenerio of life when you trapped in crime
My lil homie still incarcerated for packing a nine
Now history repeat itself, there's black on black
Check my backround, there's evidence just hide it's back
Eliminate all my foes, we run violent thrusts
Excuse me for my crime but in God I trust
Bossalinie uneffected by the eyes of even
Cause I'm military minded and demand my freedom
(Chorus)
Verse 2
Record labels try to sign for many years infact
Want a life time commitment, get you hooked like crack
Independant, black owned, you can keep your deal
I remain with No Limit cause the tank be real
I lose my cousin eight years for the time he spent
The penetentary is full of black violent, meant
Try to make a change, they can't
Cause they cuffs to tight
Momma please help us cause my mind ain't right
It ain't easy being me with my skin so toned
The mother land ain't been the same since they took me from home
My mobile phone in the benz, gettin high with my friends
Rainy days got us fighting each other, digging our graves
A cell block full of pictures, can't wait for parole
I need a second change of life cause I'm getting to old
And it's cold I can't see, can't sleep at night
Like a rebel for my freedom, I'll be prepared to fight
I have freedom
I have Jesus
you want freedom?
you need Jesus
america - land of free
america - show your freedom to me
look at us - I hate our little circles
look at us - we steer away from the troubled world
Jesus - gave us the chance to be free
Jesus - we killed him and nailed him to a tree
satisfied - with these tissue paper living lives
satisfied - your fine while everything goes right
but I don't want to be a part of that
I'm not into it, I see the waiting trap
I have Jesus I'm truly satisfied
because I know, for he died
So you think
That we're all crazy
Can't you see
That I'm already there
What you need
Can't do without it
Can't you see
That I don't even care
I'm on the edge
Pound it out
Twice as loud
I crave the sound - (in darkness no weakness)
Flying free
At full speed
It's what I need - (ears will bleed, what we need)
Work and feed
Off of me
Adrenaline - (arise above, arise above)
Our fuel for life
It's what we like
It's in out blood - (in the blood, in the blood)
Freedom for you
Freedom from pain
Freedom for all
Freedom from this life
Where are you
Here I am
Hidden deep
Out of size and mind
Time flies by
And I'm alive
Alive inside
Inside of all of you
Inside of you
I've paved the way
For all to see
It's all for you - (all for you, bleed for you)
And now I'm lost
And time won't stop
Now that I'm through - (so through, so through)
What you need
Ears will bleed
I'll bleed for you - (bleed for you, all for you)
Don't leave me
I can't see you - (where are you, where are you)
Freedom for you
Freedom from pain
Freedom for all
Freedom from this life
So the twisted one is me
Sad, so bad, sad,
Don't make me laugh
Free from all that is me
Sad, too bad, sad
Freedom
Highs and lows
Effect us all
And crush one's soul
Time and time again
Feel the need
Arise above the pain you feel
Inside us all
And take control
I've paved the way
For all to see
It's all for you - (all for you, all for you)
And now I'm lost
And time won't stop
Now that I'm through - (so through, so through)
No day of rest
No time to guess
Arise above - (arise above, arise above)
Flying free at full speed
It's what I love - (it's what I need, that's why I
bleed)
Freedom for you
Freedom from pain
Freedom from all
She talks to me, outside she screams
But somewhere, there's a little child locked up inside your alibis
So take a bow for what you've done
Freedom
They light the sky
So many die for what they see is wrong or right
Your world, it seems a puzzle piece
So close but we never see
Life goes by but the pain you'll never see from the scars
Your world has put on me
Our statue reads the words of peace
Those written before my time
She holds the light for those who died
I got two arms that can hold you
But no mind for the road
And they're pushing my life right over
I'm getting so tired and alone
And I'm living my life on a prayer now
I got no right to be here
And they're pushing my life right over
You get to the edge and it's clear
Freedom is yours if you want it
But you just don't know what you need
I made up my mind to leave you behind
'Cos you just don't know what you fear
Two little words and it's over
Gonna practise saying it all the time
Show a little sign
We'll get there in time
But you don't accept that it's near
Freedom is yours if you want it
But you just don't know what you need
I made up my mind to leave you behind
They broke your bones
They stole your love
They treat you like a dog
Your hopes are gone
The english army won the
War cause Scotland were betrayed
Your souls are damned,
Your life´s at an end
The priest has evil horns
Pain and burning fire
Dreams that never end
Fight for your rights
You will never die
Freedom was there aim they lost
Scotland will defend
Rights and laws are out of order
The killing never ends
Their work is done
Your lifes are gone
The land will suck your holy blood
The warriors aren´t forgotten
Thoughts of freedom paid
With sorrows ´cos Scotland will exist
The spirits for their glory aims
If you never believe in me
So how do you want me to be?
All I have is my own air...
If never you kept some distance
So how you want me to live?
Trust in something beautiful
As long as we both have it!
Hum...
Every step of this way we choose...
I could feel in my neck every link of the chain!
If your heart is aching
So can you imagine my life?
Living day dreams in cage...
If you always believed in us
So how come are you crying again?
Time is something you can't go back
At least for this we had!
Hum...
Every step of this way we choose...
I could die in your arms and tomorrow be back in the
game... Oh yeah!!!
All this time I had to pray
To spread my wings and fly away!
'Cos our lives had to be choked up
Even I sometimes can't buy that
I just tried to realize what freedom really is?
All this time I had to pray
To spread my wings and fly away!
'Cos our lives had to be choked up
Even I sometimes can't buy that
I just tried to realize what freedom really is?
Pusha-T;
With every line written, And all I have given
Music's been nothing more than a self made prison
I've taken inmate loses at the hands of this one
My pen's been the poison to family and friendships
Now is time to mend shit,
Time to bring closure to
The clear conscience of Pusha is long over due
Thinking to myself, what can I be owing you?
They only tell you great when they reminiscing over you
Before I trouble t-boy,
It's just a D-boy
Let me play the role of a common on his B-Boy
Speaking my truth in rhyme no matter how bland it is
A heavy heart lighting that's just what my ransom is
All apologies,
I bear the cross I wear the blame
We in the same group but I don't share my brothers pain
Not to confuse,
Our sentiment are all the same
I just don't feel Nothing I'm Numb by the will to gain
Same thing brought tears to innocence
I turned away
And didn't even flinch,
Yuuch
The music drove me crazy
Looked up and lost the first bitch ever wanted to have my babies
Nowadays
She can't even face me
I'm sorry for the heartbreak
I promised you forever my lady, Jodeci baby
Pompus muthafucka!
Just look what them jewels made me
I'm only finding comfort in knowing you can't replace me
What a thing to say! But what am I to do?
I'm role playing a conscious nigga
And true is true
Cocaine aside
All of the blogger behoove
My critics finally have a verse of mine to jerk off to
I owe you all
Malice:
This is were the buck stop, here's where I draw the line
I touch the hem Gods work is so divine
I see the error of my ways over time
Never to return, Malicous has been refined
Like vine with time, I get better
Not for valley vintage, my flow is fermented
Now drink of me, as if I bought the bar
Run to these words, as if there's no tomorrow
Never mind my car, careful what you wish for
Behind the curtains, the devil and his pitch fork
Jealousy, I ask thee: "What is this for?"
How was I to know I was happy being piss poor
No whore, that's not love, we was fucking
I was in search of a chicken head; you was clucking
And I was lusting
We were both out of order
I shoulda known better as I'm reminded of my daughter
Am I my brothers keeper for himself every man
I have been your reaper, there's blood on my hands
Except me as your keeper, there's been a change of plans
Freedom, freedom
Freedom, freedom
Freedom, freedom
Freedom, freedom
Sometimes I feel like a motherless child
Sometimes I feel like a motherless child
Sometimes I feel like a motherless child
A long way from my home
Freedom, freedom
Freedom, freedom
Freedom, freedom
Freedom, freedom
Freedom, freedom
Sometimes I feel like I?m almost gone
Sometimes I feel like I?m almost gone
Sometimes I feel like I?m almost gone
A long, long, long, way, way from my home
Clap your hands, clap your hands
Clap your hands, clap your hands
Clap your hands, clap your hands
Clap your hands, clap your hands
Hey, yeah
I got a telephone in my bosom
And I can call him up from my heart
I got a telephone in my bosom
And I can call him up from my heart
When I need my brother, brother
When I need my mother, mother
Uggh!
Pull, pull
Wuh! (Sung sorta like Michael Jackson)
Come on!
Uggh!
Solo, I'm a soloist on a solo list
Al live, never on a floppy disk
Inka, inka, bottle of ink
Paintings of rebellion
Drawn up by the thoughts I think
Yeah!
Come on!
The militant poet in once again, check it
It's set up like a deck of cards
They're sending us to early graves
For all the diamonds
They'll use a pair of clubs to beat the spades
With poetry I paint the pictures that hit
More like the murals that fit
Don't turn away
Get in front of it
Brotha, did ya forget ya name?
Did ya lose it on the wall
Playin' tic-tac-toe?
Yo, check the diagonal
Three brothers gone
Come on
Doesn't that make it three in a row?
Spoken quietly: "Anger is a gift"
Come on!
Uggh!
(Guitar solo)
Check that!
Uggh!
Come on
Yeah
Uggh
Brotha, did ya forget ya name?
Did ya lose it on the wall
Playin' tic-tac-toe?
Yo, check the diagonal
Three million gone
Come on
'Cause they're counting backwards to zero
Environment
The environment exceeding on the level
Of our unconciousness
For example
What does the billboard say
Come and play, come and play
Forget about the movement
Spoken quietly: "Anger is a gift"
Yeeeaaahhhh!
Uggh!
Awww, bring that shit in!
Uggh!
Hey!
Freedom...yea...
Freedom...yea right...
Freedom...yeeeaaahhh!
Freedom!
Yea!
Freedom!
Yea right!
Freedom!
Yea!
Freedom!
Yea!
Fighting for my goals in every way
Things won't always go as planned, but I won't let it be
Although I face oppression every day
I'm marching on to win now on a road to victory
Destiny gave me a sign
A soul from long forgotten times
Leading me to freedom one fine day
On my own terms trying to succeed
In this game called life the stream of masses I refused
Accepting consequences for my deeds
At last I've got my dinity, which is something I won't lose
Time is now so I must follow my heart
Rather be dead than to work a lifetime for some leader's gain
Make your own mark,
so you'll be a part of independent spirit,
2, 3, 4, go!
i can't ever experience, anything like this freedom you've given me.
you set me on my feet and you sanctified me.
working through this car of death and sin galore.
i need you to work in me, work in me some more.
i need you to work in me, work in me some more.
i need you to work in me, work in me some more.
freedom, that's what it is.
freedom, that's what you've given me.
freedom, that's what i have in you.
freedom, that's what all of us need!
that's what we all need.
that's what all of us need.
that's what we all need.
that's what we all need.
you took my soul, you lift me up.
you claimed my life and took me up.
now i can never be a slave again, again.
never ever, never be a slave again.
never ever, ever be a slave again.
never ever, ever be a slave again.
never be a slave again. go!
freedom, that's what it is.
freedom, that's what you've given me.
freedom, that's what i have in you.
freedom, that's what all of us need!
freedom, that's what it is.
freedom, that's what you've given me.
freedom, that's what i have in you.
freedom, that's what all of us need!
that's what we all need.
that's what all of us need.
that's what we all need.
that's what we all need.
you took my soul, you lift me up.
you claimed my life and took me up.
now i can never be a slave again, again.
never ever, never be a slave again.
never ever, never ever, ever be a slave again.
never ever, ever, ever be a slave.
Freedom, Freedom, Freedom, Freedom

Still be the one to expose the beast (when it's)
Still un-American to be for peace (yeah)
Revenge is a dish best served with steel
If it's on then, lets get it on for real

Bangin' on the system, ready to turn the heat up
Malcolm X cocktail, ready to burn the streets up
Holla if ya hear me big homie, it's time to eat somthin'
Picture me rollin', me Paris and Chuck D'd up
Dickies and white tee'd up, throwin' them O.G.s love
Listen up, rule number 1 is no snitchin'
Switch up and you gon' have to eat a clip up 'till you hiccup
[Stic - Dead Prez]
My reality is poverty, police brutality
How I came into this revolutionary mentality
Comin' up in my hood, it's an everyday thang
Niggas is hungry and starvin' that's why niggas bang
The O.G.s put me up on the jewels of the game
Ain't no wins in the street if you comin' up lame
That's why I walk how I walk and I claim what I claim
Red, Black to the Green with a gangsta lean
[Chorus]
Freedom, Freedom, Freedom, Freedom
This is how we ride and roll - soldier fo life fo' sho
Freedom, Freedom, Freedom, Freedom
This is how we ride and roll - soldier fo life fo' sho
[Paris]
Rebels at it come again
That's why we conspire so you never win
Keep it calmer when we ride so you never seein'
Niggas aim between the eyes so you never mend
Field niggas in the front be the first to bust
GuerrillaFunk.com who you gon' trust?
With all this talk about the war they forgettin' us
Broke schools and abuse made the noose a must
Holla black - fuck a pig and these killers wars
Around the world every border it's the same story
Anywhere that it's color it ain't never peace
Africa, South America and Middle East
Move in packs bust back at these killa foes
Reach first make the heat spurts so he know
No blood for the rich - they been exposed
Now it's power to the people everywhere I go - and everybody's sayin..
[Chorus]
Freedom, Freedom, Freedom, Freedom
Yeah, my live niggas standin' in here, Yeah, my live niggas standin' over there
Freedom, Freedom, Freedom, Freedom
**Hold on to this feelin', Freedom (Freedom!)**
Yo, Seldom travel by the multitude
The devil's gavel has a cup of food
My culture's screwed cause this word is misconstrued
Small countries exempt from food cause leader have different views
You choose
What meen the world to me is bein' free
Live and let live and just let it be (Let it be)
Love peace and harmony, one universal family
One God, one aim and one destiny
Are we there?
Imagine life without a choice at all
Given no hope without a voice at all
These be the problems that we face
I'm talkin' poverty in race
But no matter what the case we gotta...
Yo, I'm the first candidate to hate
Had to beat on the drum to communicate
For what was to come to those who were hung
They would decapitate the tongue if you would mention the word (Freedom)
Got people screamin' free Umi and Jamal
But two out of three of ya'll will probably be at the mall
I'm heated wit ya'll, been defeated before
And complete an unsolved when the word freedom's involved
Yo, my forefathers hung in trees to be free (Rest in peace)
Got rid of slavery but kept the penitentiary
And now freedom got a shotgun and shells wit cha name
Release the hot ones and let freedom ring
I'm the former vote prisoner
Hollywood visitor
Dance for cats segregated on wax
My color got me HANDY-
-CAP Anson andy
For the freedom they just won't hand me
**Hold On**
Cause there's not a lot of time **To**
Your heart, body, soul and your mind **This**
They're so true and they been hurtin' so long **Feelin'**
I have freedom
I have Jesus
you want freedom?
you need Jesus
america - land of free
america - show your freedom to me
look at us - I hate our little circles
look at us - we steer away from the troubled world
Jesus - gave us the chance to be free
Jesus - we killed him and nailed him to a tree
satisfied - with these tissue paper living lives
satisfied - your fine while everything goes right
but I don't want to be a part of that
I'm not into it, I see the waiting trap
I have Jesus I'm truly satisfied
because I know, for he died
who has the real freedom now? you?
(Pedrini)
Oh freedom
oh cielo
io tremo un po'
E' il vento
o il mare
noi insieme qui
mentre un'altra estate muore già
Oh freedom
oh amico
mi mancherai
Io parto
nel viaggio
la libertà
Pensami se un giorno torni qua
io penso a voi
se un giorno tornerò qua
io penso a voi
se un giorno tornerai qua
se un giorno tornerai...
people can you feel anymore?
look through the keyhole, listen at the door
can you see? can you see?
freedom is blowing away
by the wind that flies your flag
the pride of yesterday
people can you breathe anymore?
do you remember what you're fighting for?
are you free? can you be?
are you free? can you see?
can you feel my soul?
can you feel?
can you feel the quiet cold?
are you free? can you be?
are you free? can you see?
now I drift so far away
will you close the door behind?
we'll fly where the sun will shine
It's been love and hate, this life of mine
I've seen pleasure, I've seen pain
What was good and bad, I can't define
Still I'd do it all again
You need a heart of gold
To see what's right or wrong
When the rain feels cold
Keep searching for the blue sky
Don't tie me up anymore
Freedom, that's all I need
Don't ever try to put a chain on me
My freedom, I won't give in
I'll keep on searching till the end of the world
I have crossed the sea to find what I need
I've been waiting for so long
River deep and mountain high
What goes up must come down
You need a heart of gold
To see what's right or wrong
And when the rain feels cold
Keep searching for the blue sky
Don't tie me up anymore
Freedom, that's all I need
Don't ever try to put a chain on me
My freedom, I won't give in
I'll keep on searching till the end of the world
Freedom, that's all I need
Don't ever try to put a chain on me
My freedom, I won't give in
I'll keep on searching till the end of the world
All the friends I had, way back then
Grew up and settled down
Guess I'll never learn to compromise
Praise the Lord, I'm still unbound
Freedom
Don't ever try to put a chain on me
My freedom, I won't give in
I'll keep on, I'll keep on searching for
Freedom, I won't give in
Don't ever try to put a chain on me
My freedom, that's all I need
Freedom, comes my way some times
But I have got no place to go
Freedom, has it's own silence
But I can hear no more
I've got no time
For lies that bring me down
And I must be wise
Before I vote you there
Freedom goes around in circles
But I just go straight on
Freedom comes to those deserving
But I fail to comply
I've got no time
For lies that bring me down
And I must be wise
Before I vote you there
Freedom, freedom, freedom
Comes my way sometimes
freedom
this corporal holding cell can’t keep me anymore
freedom
lose these terrestrial bonds and let this spirit soar
these old bones are so frail and weak
these old lips have just a few words left to speak
these old eyes are so tired from what they’ve seen
this old heart is still brave
this old soul is still safe
freedom
i’m ready for this
i know i’ll be missed
this body is done
i’m primed for a new one
shed your tears
but please don’t pity me
there’s no fear when you’re tasting immortality
life is a puff of smoke
The time is here
Oooooh

[Verse 1:]
Here I Am, Feeling Followed And Confused
Looking Into, What Is Right And What Is True
So I Know What They Bepromised Is Wrong
So Ill Go Half Way Into The Galaxy Of Hope
While I Sing
[Chorus:]
Freedom
Come Along
Come Along
Expression
Seleso[?]
Sing My Song
[Verse 2:]
So Ill Make, The Choice To Be Me On My Knee
Cause They Say, Most Are Impossible For Me
But I Know Theres Room To Learn And To Grow
So Ill Shout, That What Ever Life Brings Me
Ill Go
[Chorus]
When Life Feels Cold Where Do You Go, Its Just Not Enough, Just Not Enough For Me
When Caught Are Lies Where Do You Go, Its Just Not Enough, Just Not Enough For Me
Well Not Realize Assosials, Its Just Not Enough, Just Not Enough For Me
When Time Replay Your On The Way, Its Just Not Enough, Just Not Enough For Me
I Wanna Be Free, I Just Wanna Be Free, Yeah Yeah Yeah
[Verse 2]
So Ill Live To Survive And To Be Real, And Ill Give, My Story As Long Will
Ill Be Free Of All The Living Boundaries That Are Here, And Ill See What Ever This World Offers For Free
(Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun)
[Hook:]
I used to think you understood
Taught me right and learnt me good
Made things simple for my brain
Told the truth and made it plain
But the implications I mistook
Until I found out whose side you took
And now with paper in my hand
I'm beginning to understand
So this is freedom - {they must be joking}
They must be joking - {if they think it's true}
So this is freedom - [i doubt their truth}
So this is freedom - {for me and you}
From the front page news to the interviews
Its sink the reds and lift the blues
They pretend they're differing points of view
But it's only different shades of blue
But the implications I mistook
Until I found out whose side you took
And now with paper in my hand
I'm beginning to understand
So this is freedom - {they must be joking}
They must be joking - {if they think it's true}
So this is freedom - [i doubt their truth}
So this is freedom - {for me and you}
[guitar solo]
So this is freedom - {they must be joking}
They must be joking - {if they think it's true}
So this is freedom - [i doubt their truth}
So this is freedom - {for me and you}
F.r.e.e.d.o.m.
They locked us up once
So they'll do it again
C.h.a.i.n.e.d.
They locked up my friends
When I was younger, when I was afraid
Of making my mind up with my head
Of reaching for something that I couldn't get
You made me believe in who I am again
Helped me to leave my past back then
You gave me the words that had been left unsaid
So many words to say, how can I ever pay?
For you to be my freedom, nothing that I can bring
You give me everything, you give to me this freedom
I walked like the rest, did everything they did
But I never felt like I fitted
The puzzle I fit is somewhere else instead
You taught me the reason and how I should deal
With what I was keeping underneath it all
(V1)
When I was younger when I was afraid
Of making my mind up with my head
Of reaching for something that I couldn't get
(V2)
You made me believe in who I am again
Helped me to leave my past back then
You gave me the words that had been left unsaid
(CH)
So many words to say
How can I ever pay
For you to be my freedom
Nothing that I can bring
You give me everything
You give to me this freedom
(V3)
I walked like the rest, did everything they did
But I never felt like I fitted
The puzzle I fit is somewhere else instead
(V4)
You taught me the reason and how I should deal
With what I was keeping underneath it all
It's life that I'm living ever since we met
freedom, my freedom
freedom, get off my back
freedom, freedom
i don't want your love
i don't want your pity
i don't want your body
i don't want your mouth
i don't want your violence
i don't want your mind
i don't want your weakness
i don't want what you need
freedom, my freedom
freedom, freedom
i don't want it
i don't want your love
i don't want your pity
i don't want your body
i don't want your mouth
i don't want your violence
i don't want it, don't want it
Theres nothing I can tell you
Cause everythings a secret
And all you really need right now
Is some unconditional love
Theres nothing I can show you
Cause lifes the only teacher
And all you really need right now
Is some unconditional love
Im not responsible
For someones misbehaviour
And all you really need right now
Is some unconditional love
I am not superhuman
I wont live forever
And all you really need right now
Is some unconditional love
Can you see freedom from behind the wall?
Can you see me from where you are?
So stop confusing me
I am nobodys savior
All you really need right now
Is some unconditional love
What does it take from you
To stop asking for favors?
When all you really need right now
Is some unconditional love
This is your kingdom
This is your war
And I go random
Im the ambassador
You need love
You keep on building walls
All around me
Ball and chain and blindfold
So I don't see
Take me far away
Leave me out cold
But the people see the truth
Let justice unfold
So if you just hold my hand
A little bit longer, understand
The feeling gets stronger
Yes, I do
Yes, I can
You can write your words down
Full of despair
You can celebrate your lies
And see if we care
'Cause people know the truth
They feel in their hearts
All the good things that we like
We knew from the start
I can't let my world get colder
I'd be a better man
I can see for miles around
Hope you understand
I believe in love
I believe in free will
I believe that people believe in it still
Though sometimes we don't always see it so clear
We talk about South Africa and we say it's a shame
Apartheid is wrong and we all share the blame
But people let me tell you, everywhere you go it's the
same,
people are being mistreated, when will it change?
Let's talk about the future and learn from the past
We must love one another if this world is going to last
We fought for self-respect, we fought for equal rights
We've known a long, long time that discrimination ain't
right
Talking about freedom, freedom, freedom
Talking about freedom, freedom, freedom
A ghetto is no place for children to grow
But you can find a ghetto everywhere you go
I heard Dr. King say: "I have a dream"
All he wanted was to let the freedom ring
Why do we have to fight in wars to save our land
If we get back alive, there's still no dignity
Do I have to die before I can be free?
I want freedom in my life, that's the way it's got to
Talking about freedom, freedom, freedom
Talking about freedom, freedom, freedom
I'm tired of discrimination, this has to stop
We must learn to live together before the bombs drop
So if you love your children too this is what you
should do
Teach them to love one another, live by the Golden Rule
Freedom of choice, freedom of speech, my freedom is up
to you
We were promised this freedom, but we have a long way
to go
The love of freedom, can't you tell, is the same for
you and me
All I need is someone to help me ring the Freedom Bell
Talking about freedom, freedom, freedom
Everyday I hear a different story
People say that you're no good for me
So you love another
And she's making a fool of you
If you love me baby
Don't deny it
But you left me
And tell me
I should try it
Tell me I'm a baby
And I will understand
But to know that I'll forgive you
Just this once, twice, forever
'Cause baby
You could take me to heaven and back
Just as long as we're together
And you do
I don't want your freedom
I don't want to play around
I don't want nobody's baby
Part-time love just brings me down
I don't need your freedom
Girl all I want right now is you
Like a prisoner who has his own key
But I can't escape until you love me
I just go from day to day
Knowing all about the other boys
You take my hand and tell me I'm a fool
To give you all I do
Bet you someday
Baby
Someone says the same to you
But to know that I'll forgive you
Just this once, twice, forever
'Cause baby
You could take me to heaven and back
Just as long as we're together
And you do
I don't want your freedom
I don't want to play around
I don't want nobody's baby
Part-time love just brings me down
I don't need your freedom
Girl all I want right now is you
But to know that I'll forgive you
Just this once, twice, forever
'Cause baby
You could take me to heaven and back
Just as long as we're together
And you do
I don't want your freedom
I don't need to play around
I don't want nobody's baby
Part-time love just brings me down
I don't want your
(I don't want your)
I don't want your
(I don't want your)
I don't want your
(I don't want your)
I don't want your
(I don't want your)
Oh...
This one's entitled "Freedom," dedicated to the whole
entire world, coming from Una, Gramps, Peter, Lukes and
Mr. Mojo - Morgan Heritage:"
We're crying for freedom for all mankind
We don't care about color
Racism is not our style
We're fighting for a better world
for the young boys and girls
This is our contribution towards a better world
Somebody sing Freedom for every black man
Freedom for every white man
Freedom for every Indian
'Cause we believe some day here on Earth
Every man will be free
Every man will be free
The world has gone crazy
That's life in this time
We've gotta make changes without destroying mankind
World unity
That's how it should be
Let's open our hearts and welcome tranquility
Somebody say Freedom for every black man
Freedom for every white man
Freedom for every Indian
'Cause we believe some day here on Earth
Every man will be free
Every man will be free
We're going through too much changes
Just to find peace of mind
If we could only be humble
Find a way to love each other while believing in each
other
Then every man will be free
Every man will be free
Riding on the wings of a dove
Was a message from above
Over the hills and valleys there's a stream of love
Out of our reach
'Cause of the way we chose to be
Can you see
We've got so many souls in need
Indeed
There's so many ways
To find a way to communicate
About the facts of life
It's out there
So come and share this vibe with me
Under the umbrella of love
We keep it tight
Allright
We need positive people
With positive ways
Every man working equal
Towards a brighter day
We need to have faith
That all good things will come true
The better days I pray for are for me and you
Everybody sing Freedom for every black man
Freedom for every white man
Freedom for every Indian
'Cause we believe some day here on Earth
Every man will be free
It's all completely silent except memories of the past
More freedom X2
All I am refusing is the mortal man that enslaves
More freedom X2
Explain it all to me I'm pale and broken free
More freedom, freedom
I can't feel more for than I've always done
Detest your holy war extermination grows
Grotesc inprisonment character denied
Furious visions of the life we proceed
LIFE!
It's all completely silent of all and any screams
More freedom X2
Explain it all to me I'm pale and broken free
More freedom, freedom
This is a picture attached to your war
Make me see what you see extermination lost
Killings of hundreds doesn't even make you flinch
A runaway incarcerated they took away your soul
SOUL!
When extermination grows
I hope you feel that much you die
No one can see how difficult it seems
With my luck I soon will cease to be
Incarceration the loss of my soul bury me in hell
Bury me in flowers I just past (passed?) away
Now I'm free
There is something caught behind my eye
Run to the end the screams before you are nothing
Extermination lacks
Increased or something lost upon the throne
You are nothing to us it's a war
Walking hand in hand embodying my soul
>From the gates of pain into a home of joy
Keep fighting for your rights
Freedom ! Feel the Freedom ! Yeah !
Freedom ! Feel the Freedom ! Yeah !
day by day I feel it's a gift for me
I feel a day is a gift for (me)
Freedom ! Feel the Freedom ! Yeah !
Freedom ! Feel the Freedom ! Yeah !
day by day I feel it's a gift for me
I feel the day is a gift for me
keep the way of life , keep the way of life ,
Say your name, look at me
Relax your body and mind
There's something you want to
get away right now
I feel this is how
You will learn to let it go
You'll feel like someone new
Do you see in the dark
Who's the boy there by the river
It is you, is it me
The little boy seems very eerie
Why X 5
Going under, feel the freedom X 2
How'd you feel, call me now
Follow the beat of your heart
The ghost inside no longer exist in you now (say my
name)
I feel this is how
You will learn to let it go (alright)
You'll feel like someone new
Count of three open eyes
Wake yourself and get on with it
Move yourself feel the breeze
Fear no longer rule your body
Why X 5
Going under, feel the freedom X 4
Freedom, freedom
freedom let me go
Do you want to know me
I would like to know you
do you want to talk to me
I would like to talk to you
Oh, oh, I just wanna love you
if you don't trust me
I'm never gonna trust you
if you don't try to understand me
I'll never understand you
Oh, oh, I just wanna love you
Talking about freedom
(do you want to know me)
Talking about freedom
(I would like to know you)
Talking about freedom
oh let me go
If you hold me know
I'll keep prayin'
that you will come around
and hear what I'm saying
Oh, oh, I just wanna love you
If you take my eyes
I'll still be watching you
and if you take my voice
I'll still hear me saying
Oh, oh, I just wanna love you
Gathered here with my family
... My neighbours and my friends
Standing firm together against oppression holding hands
It doesn't matter where you're from
Or if you're young, old, women or man
We're here for the same reason; we want to take back our land
Oh God thank you...
For giving us the strength to hold on
And now we're here together
Calling you for freedom, freedom
We know you can hear our call, ooh oh
We're calling for freedom, fighting for freedom
We know you won't let us fall, ooh no
We know you're here with us
No more being prisoners in our homes
No more being afraid to talk
Our dream is just to be free, just to be free
Now when we've taking our first step
Towards a life of complete freedom
We can see our dream getting closer and closer, we're almost there
Oh God thank you...
For giving us the strength to hold on
And now we're here together
Calling you for freedom, freedom
We know you can hear our call, ooh oh
We're calling for freedom, fighting for freedom
We know you won't let us fall, ooh no
I can feel the pride in the air
And it makes me strong to see everyone
Standing together holding hands in unity
Shouting out loud demanding their right for freedom
... This is it and we're not backing of
Oh God we know you hear our call
And we're calling you for freedom, freedom
We know you can hear our call, ooh oh
We're calling for freedom, fighting for freedom
We know you won't let us fall, ooh no
We're calling you for freedom, freedom
We know you can hear our call, ooh oh
We're calling for freedom, fighting for freedom
We know you won't let us fall, ooh no
We've been working on a course for change
Trying to work out a balance
Sometimes I feel I'm so alone
And I wish you were here
Making money can be one thing
Building bridges can be the other one
All it takes is understanding now
To make that dream come true
You and me bayma
We can make it happen 'freedom'
You and me liya-wayma
We can see it through 'freedom'
Many thousand years of history
Of a culture that is still to be told
This is only just the beginning now
I guess we'll have to work it out
You and me bayma
We can make it happen 'freedom'
You and me liya-bayma
We can see it through 'freedom'
You and me bayma
We can make it happen 'freedom'
You and me liya-bayma
We can see it through 'freedom'
You and me
Thinkin' about it, I'm confused
Can't do without it, I've been used
Judge man baby he's makin' it clear
Mother freedom are you there
Rollin', lookin' for the answer it's not there
Keep rollin'
Keep lookin' for the answer
Lookin' ahead now, I can't run
All the men try to hand me a gun
All the people talkin' baby I don't care
Mother freedom are you there
Rollin', lookin' for an answer it's not there
Keep rollin'
Keep lookin' for the answer
Lookin' at you man, I feel sad
Had a lot of things you never had
When you run from yourself
And tell me those lies
You can't look at me brother, in my eyes
Rollin', lookin' for the answer it's not there
Keep rollin'
I read it in the bible
I told you not to waste my time
Why should I be liable
For every situation, and every crime?
I know it's a long way home
When you haven't got a ride
I know it's a long way home
And you know we've been fighting for the longest time
Ain't no freedom like your own
Ain't no freedom like to say this is mine
Ain't no freedom like your own
And you know we've been fighting for the longest time
I told it to some people
But they said the fault was mine
I know it's never easy
I know it's never easy when you walk in line
I know it's a long way home
When you haven't got a ride
I know it's a long way home
And you know we've been fighting for the longest time
Ain't no freedom like your own
Ain't no freedom like to say this is mine
Ain't no freedom like your own
And you know we've been fighting for the longest time
Why do we live this way wasting our lives?
Why are the things that we say seen as a crime?
I have to live my way this is my life
I get on my knees and pray most of the time
Ain't no freedom like your own
Ain't no freedom like to say this is mine
Ain't no freedom like your own
A. Torricini, F. Rubulotta
Free land is in front of me
'Cause I'm driving on the freedom street
Just a free man I decide to be
Keep on running to the sea
Freedom, file it like a wonder
Lot of time to find her
I want to see the world
Freedom, ready for my journey
Fire is still burning
I will see the world
Free wind is passing through my soul
And I follow its recall
And the ocean flows beside my car
With its high waves laps the stars
Freedom, come out from the darkness
Happy for my passage
I just want to see the world
Freedom, I don't want to say
A word I've waitedand prayed
I just want to go
Solo: Vic and Tower, Vic
Freedom, file it like a wonder
Lot of time to find her
I want to see the world
Freedom, ready for my journey
Fire is still burning
I will see the world
Freedom, come out from the darkness
Happy for my passage
I just want to see the world
Freedom, I don't want to say
A word I've waitedand prayed
I've been thinking about me
Wondering who I am
Trying to be somebody
Wonderin' if I can
I look into the mirror
Have this silent fear
There is no one really there
They say, there are seven wonders of this world
What would the eighth one be?
If I could just love myself
The way, the way that the Lord loves me
If there are seven wonders of this world
What would the eighth one be?
I keep building and building
Walls around the truth
But what I'm really needing
Is to find my rest in You
Nothing will have meaning
Till I start believing
Just how much I mean to You
How much I mean to You
They say, there are seven wonders of this world
What would the eighth one be?
If I could just love myself
The way, the way that You love me
Lord, I feel the wonder in this world
When I understand
Through Your loving eyes, You see
The wonder of who I am
Lord, I feel the wonder in this world
When I understand
Through Your loving eyes, You see
The wonder of who I am
Freedom, Freedom
Oh there is no guarantee
That we'll lose our destiny
Freedom, Freedom
Oh there is no guarantee
That we'll lose our destiny
Freedom Freedom
Every night and every day
We wanna live in harmony
Freedom, gimme gimme Freedom
Oh there is no guarantee
That we'll lose our destiny
Oh I saw it in the news, there's soldiers everywhere
Don't destroy this paradise, oh please take care
It's not right, don't fight, don't lose it all
You can run, don't hide, oh stop this war
There will never be another chance for you
We want peace and dignity and heaven too
Refrain:
Gimme: Freedom, gimme gimme Freedom
Every night and every day
We wanna live in harmony
Freedom, gimme gimme Freedom
Oh there is no guarantee
That we'll lose our destiny
Baby when the words collide, there has to be a way
Cause we only have this world, and I wanna say
Oh I pray, one day, we live in peace
There is a way, a place where I can breathe
There will be another chance for you
We want peace and dignity and heaven too
Refrain
For the human race - there is only one chance of living
For the human race - We have to live in peace
There is only one world
If we destroy this world
We destroy our future
How can you stop
The positive energy?
How can you play
With peace and love?
Refrain
Freedom, gimme gimme Freedom
Give me Freedom yeah
Freedom, gimme gimme Freedom
You got my pride
Hanging outta my bed
You messin' with my life
So I bought my lead
Even messin' with my children
And you're screaming at my wife baby
Get off my back
If ya wanna get outta here alive
Freedom that's what I want now
Freedom that's what I need now
Freedom to live
Freedom so I can give
You got my heart
Speak electric water
You got my soul
Screamin' and hollerin'
You know you hooked my girlfriend
You know the drugstore man
Well I don't know her now
I'm tryin' to slam it out of her hand
Freedom so I can live
Freedom so I can give
Freedom yeah!
Freedom that's what I need
You don't have to say that you love me
If you don't mean it you better believe
If you need me or you just wanna bleed me
Oh my chains, I can't disengage
I don't believe that I want to
One hand sings Your praise
The other brings me shame
I have selfishness to blame
And I'm singing for freedom
I know I'm not the only one praying to the One
Who can bring me this freedom
I'm ready for change, change, change, change
Looking down I lay
I keep holding my chains
No longer bound but here I stay
I scream, Father please, I need rescuing
I need You and You alone
And I'm singing for freedom
I know I'm not the only one praying to the One
Who can bring me this freedom
I'm ready for, I'm ready for
Still You patiently await
Yet I won't just let go
I see You and You alone
Say come, follow me
Despair has come so You can't see, release
So I'm singing for freedom
So I'm singing for freedom
The time has come, separation lost the war to love
Take my hand, grace is found, yeah where Your words begin
You're alive, You're alive, in the waking of new life
Take my hand, in the end there's only love, there's only love
There's only singing for freedom
I know I'm not the only one praying to the One
Who can bring me this freedom
I'm ready for, I'm ready for
Father please, I need rescuing
I'll take a ticket to win the race
Got the keys unlock the cage
Cut the hand that twists my fate
I got a love that never waits
Here comes the jesters all the liars and the thieves
Here comes the bastard tryin' to teach me how to speak
I am Freedom
I'll last a lifetime
There's nothing like me
I'm a one of a kind
Your breaking in I'm breaking out
Your breathing in I'm breathing out
I am the train that takes you back
Like the sleeve the hides the tracks
I've taken trips from down to Texas to the north of pain
I've seen the good go bad, but the bad gets good again
I am Freedom
I'll last a lifetime
There's nothing like me
I'm a one of a kind
I am Freedom
I'll last a lifetime
There's nothing like me
I'm a one of a kind
Jesus Christ, American and Elvis Presley are some of the most rebellions acts in history
In a world that would kill a man for being an individual, but was created for all to be equal has always cast down the different
Although history may repent itself, each self is one in its own, a one of a kind, a rebel
Long live freedom
I am Freedom
I am Freedom
I am Freedom
If you left me
How could I go on?
If you walked away from me baby
All the right would turn wrong
I've had too many heartaches
For my blistering hands
But I know your my calling to the promise land
You're the one who runs through my veins
Like a hurricane
You lift the hurt I've felt before
You and me could own this earth
Ditch the dust and dirt
Light up this city with our
Freedom
I fall to grace and into your arms
Cause we got freedom
You've stolen the dark
And turned it to stars
So wont you stay here
Hold my hand for a while
Tell me you won't be leaving
Tell me you'll walk that mile
Cause I've never felt like this
Darling you set me free
And I'll shout it from rooftops
I am you, you are me
You're the one who runs through my veins
Like a hurricane
You lift the hurt I've felt before
You and me could own this earth
Ditch the dust and dirt
Light up this city with our
Freedom
I fall to grace and into your arms
Cause we got freedom
You've stolen the dark
And turned it to stars
I will never leave you stranded
Baby you're the one I need
You found me in the gutter
I was lost now I believe
But let me keep you
Say you'll stay and then you'll kiss me
And say it again
Freedom
I fall to grace and into your arms
Cause we got freedom
You've stolen the dark
And turned it to stars
You give me Freedom
I fall to grace and into your arms
Cause we got freedom
You've stolen the dark
And turned it to stars
.....?........ this sense of liberty
I think its safe to say its taken over me
For this we fought so long it wasn't all for nothing
Trails & tribulations they come to make us strong
B Verse: Now more than ever we stand
We locked together within
We've been united by faith
Not gonna run away now
So with the spirit of hope
We'll find our victory
It lies inside of our souls
Just believe
Chorus: Raise your hands to the sky
If you feel what I'm feeling
To the end we will fight
We will fight for our freedom
Verse 2: Now let the darkness fall shadows are closing
The air is getting cold depression settle in
Don't wait until its over time will not delay
So stop procrastinating time to break the chain
B Verse: Let's come together ......?
The world is watching
Our faith is even stronger now
Despite all the opposition
So with the spirit of hope
We'll find our victory
It lies inside of our souls
Just believe
Chorus: Repeat (x2)
Bridge: Oh ho ho oh ho ho oh ho ho (x8)
Heaven knows I was just a young boy
Didn't know what I wanted to be (didn't know what I wanted to be)
I was every little hungry schoolgirl's pride and joy
And I guess it was enough for me
To win the race? A prettier face!
Brand new clothes and a big fat place on the rock'n'roll TV (rock'n'roll TV)
But today the way I play the game has got to change (oh yeah)
Now I'm gonna get myself happy
I think there's something you should know
I think it's time I told you so
There's something deep inside of me
There's someone I forgot to be
Take back your picture in the frame
Take back your singing in the rain
Just hope you understand
Sometimes the clothes do not make the man
All we have to do now
Is take these lies and make them true somehow
All we have to see
Is that I don't belong to you
And you don't belong to me, yeah yeah
Freedom .....
I won't let you down
Freedom ....
So, please don't give me up
Freedom .....
Gotta have some faith in the sound
(You've gotta give for what you take)
It's the one good thing that I've got
Freedom .....
I won't let you down
Freedom .....
So, please don't give me up
Freedom ......
Because I would really, really love to stick around
Heaven knows we sure had some fun boy
What a kick just a buddy and me
We had every big shot good-time band on the run boy
We were living in a fantasy
We won the race got out of the place
I went back home got a brand new face
For the boys on MTV
But today the way I play the game has got to change (Oh yeah)
Now I'm gonna get myself happy
I think there's something you should know
I think it's time I stopped the show
There's something deep inside of me
There's someone I forgot to be
Take back your picture in a frame
Don't think that I'll be back again
I just hope you understand
Sometimes the clothes do not make the man
All we have to do now
Is take these lies and make them true somehow
All we have to see
Is that I don't belong to you
And you don't belong to me
Freedom .....
I won't let you down
Freedom .....
Please don't give me up
Freedom .....
Gotta have some faith in the sound
It's the one good thing that I've got
Freedom .....
I won't let you down
Freedom .....
So, please don't give me up
Because I would really, really love to stick around
Freedom .... Freedom .... Freedom .... Freedom ...
You've gotta give for what you take
Freedom... Freedom .... Freedom .... Freedom ...
If you're watching a bird fly
You don't know where he'll go
Catch your freedom anywhere
And you see him so free there
In the sky full of gold
Catch your freedom anywhere.
If you're watching a tiger
And he's like one big cat
Catch your freedom anywhere.
You know that you'll never catch him
just to change his way of life
Refrain: 2x
Freedom is life and it's why we are living
Freedom is something you must never lose
Freedom is wandering about when it's raining
Freedom is just what you need, what you need anyway
Catch your freedom anyway
I don't mind, I'll fly anywhere
Catch your freedom anyway
I don't mind, I'll fly anywhere
If they tell you you're crazy
Just don't listen, don't mind
Catch your freedom anywhere
You won't need enemies, then
They will all stay behind
Catch your freedom anywhere
You'll be free as a blackbird
And you fly far away
Catch your freedom anywhere
You'll be proud as a tiger
And you'll never change your way
Refrain:
Freedom is life and it's why we are living
Freedom is something you must never lose
Freedom is wandering about when it's raining
Freedom is just what you need, what you need anyway
Catch your freedom anyway
I don't mind, I'll fly anywhere
Catch your freedom anyway
I don't mind, I'll fly anywhere
Every summer they’d load the car and drive up to the mountains.
A family tradition going on fifteen years.
She was the oldest and the only one not laughing, her mind a million miles away somewhere.
Her parents always gave her everything she wanted until all she wanted was to get away.
So she ran off with some guy she knew from high school.
They’d stay out all night long, paint the town and say
So this is freedom.
So this is what its like to get behind the wheel.
This is freedom.
I used to wonder now I know the way it feels.
This is freedom.
Just three years later he was way out of the picture.
But he left her with two little boys.
They lived off welfare checks to put food on the table.
At night you’d hear her crying picking up the toys.
(Chorus)
It wasn’t what she hoped for.
All those dreams were only lies.
She could take it as a curse or she could look through different eyes.
Every summer they load the car and drive up to the mountains.
A modern day family in a minivan.
She can hear the children laughing in the back seat and with each passing mile she understands
I may work a job that I can't stand
With broken pride and cracked up hands
But Friday when the work is done
It's where I find my freedom
So I crank the tunes up in my car
And drive to anywhere you are
And if my car broke down well then I'd run
To where I find my freedom
So you open your door to my tired face
And welcome me into your place
You understand how far I've come
To where I find my freedom
Then you offer me a nice cold drink
'Cause inside I'm too tired to think
I'd always sought a simple love
It's where I find my freedom
Late at night we sway to sleep
I pray to God that you will keep
Me in your arms 'til the rising sun
Call me up, and thats all I need,
Bring your loving, smiling, face over.
I feel like, getting it right,
Overnight, start over,
I thought playing that loving game would never be simple again
But you're staying overnight,
So maybe I'm doing something right.
You can feel it in the trees
I feel it by degrees
Feel it fresh and new
I'm getting myself in love with you
The sun will rise up, and you'll be in Freedom
So much freer than you were before
It's in the seed now
It's in the season
I'm so excited its knocking down your door.
And they say, it's such a funny story,
After a winter, of getting dull and blue like a tory
And getting all feared up,
As their up on their ties, lies, incites the tears to your eyes.
And the job will know I'm insane
To go running from love again
Into a lovers arms
Like a burgular running out on an alarm
It's a fucking swarm of bees
Or some waitress, it's a tease
Or some song that's full of lies
Coming round to you late at night.
The sun will rise up, and you'll be in Freedom
So much freer than you were before
It's in the seed now
It's in the season
I'm so excited its knocking down your door.
The sun will rise up, and I will wise up
So much freer than we were before
It's in your CD, its fucking teaming
Saw it around you taking you on a tour
And now now! Call the fuzz, it's such a buzz,
From the start
You press the memory, you press the memory to your heart
What you waiting for?
Fall in love is an idea for sure
What you waiting for?
Like there was any law
It's like a sonnet, she's so on it
From the start
You press the memory, you press the memory to your heart
What you waiting for?
Fall in love is an idea for sure
What you waiting for?
Like there was any law
From the start
You press the memory, you press the memory to your heart
What you waiting for?
Fall in love is an idea for sure
What you waiting for?
Like there was any law
It's like a sonnet, she's so on it
From the start
You press the memory, you press the memory to your heart
What you waiting for?
Fall in love is an idea for sure
What you waiting for?
Like there was any law
The sun will rise up, and you'll be in Freedom
So much freer than you were before
It's in the seed now
It's in the season
I'm so excited its knocking down your door.
You'll bring that blessing
We'll sing the rest in
Fredom...
Every dawn becomes a new day
A time to love, a time to cry
Every river knows it's own way
And it's the same for you and I
Every heart must have a reason
A winding road, a midnight flight
(Chorus)
Freedom, freedom
What we all need is freedom in our hearts
Freedom, freedom
What we all need is freedom in our hearts
We fight and die defending honor
The pride and prejudice we hide
A mother's tears, a father's anger
From tryin' to stop the pain and lies
So we pretend to look for answers
I blame you and you blame me
(Repeat Chorus)
We don't need the pain anymore
To move our mountains, to reach our shores
What I have found is the choice I bring
What I can do to let freedom ring
(Repeat Chorus)
Freedom from the darkness
Freedom from the violence
Freedom from the hate
Freedom from the fear lord
Freedom from the hunger
Freedom from the unforgiveness
(Repeat Chorus)
(Repeat Chorus)
freedom from the pain and trouble
free from all my two sacks o' rubble
nuthin' standin' in my way
about to find my super place
Where I can make my troubled mind
somehow leave the past behind
There Iwill proclaim thescene that all Ireally need is freedom
Freedom, freedom
What we all need is freedom in our hearts
Freedom, freedom
What we all need is freedom in our hearts
Until Yesterday when the lights went out
You'll find some one to take your anger out
The life you lead is so blue
Cause all you dream about, all you think about is you
Traveling by on your own mistakes
Living on you, your own self-conscious fate.
Leaving you to be you
Getting by on being alone
Freedom can't buy freindship
No time to tell if your life' gonna work out
Be the one, the freind that helps
Cause in the end, you might need it, you might need it yourself
Now that you are the liberated one
Can you find the time to think of anyone
And get on with your so called fun
Leave your color at home
And show us how you spread your freedom
No time to tell if your lifes gonna work out
Be the one, the freind that helps
She left, out of Leeville
When she was seventeen
Get her down to South Texas
In a broken down machine
With all she had
Left her momma cryin'
An' her daddy mad
When she wore her hair up
She could pass for twenty-one
Her brown eyes an' red lipstick
She could sure leave a man undone
She wouldn't be back
She'd leave 'em all reelin'
In the aftermath
Singin', freedom is a wish
She'll fool the stars on the radio
Tires squealin' with St.Christopher
Barely hangin' on
She was down at the offshore lounge
Singin' in the bar
She sang 'Patsy Cline' like you never heard
Filled up her mason jar
With just enough cash
Take herself a little further
On down the map, yeah
Singin', freedom is a wish
She'll fool the stars an' the radio
Tires squealin' with St.Christopher
Barely hangin' on
Another heart, another time
Another town, she'll leave behind
Singin' freedom
Freedom
hurry up don't let sunlight go to waste
grab your coat and we'll make our clean getaway
we're just gonna leave behind
these worry machines we call our minds
run off to the sea
watch the sunlight kick of the diamond waves
Freedom , it's calling , it's calling
Freedom
Freedom, our light's we're golden
Freedom, from everything
Chasing waves as the seagulls cry and dive
Kicking sand as the crazy man rides by
talking 'bout the end of the world
wish he'd take a break and live for right now
"cause we understand, that this moment is all that we have
Freedom , it's calling , it's calling
Freedom
Freedom, our light's we're golden
Freedom, from everything
when the tightrope won't stop shaking
and opnion starts to wear you down
time to pull our secret weapon on out
All the world's walk single file
Like all the girls give a lil' smile
Let us share upon the world
Makes us all cry freedom
Open up your book and read all about the world
freedom
we still find it hard to believe that you're gone
we still find it hard to believe what you've done
if we only knew what you had on your mind
if we could only find a way to talk to you just one more
time
you've made the hardest choice someone could ever make
you took the hardest step someone could ever take
brother what you did it hurts us all inside
we'll never understand why you just had to die
why did you have to die?
We still can't believe you left us so suddenly
We still can't believe you became a memory
Oh it's so hard, so hard to lose you friend
Way to fast your life came to an end
Where ever you are now we hope you're finally free
A brother to us all is what you always be
We still can't believe you left us so suddenly
We still can't believe you became a memory
Our lives will go on although it's without you
But your spirit will remain in everything we do
one day i woke up and noticed that youd always been there for me now i see
when the penny dropped then i knew youd stop the world for me now im free
CHORUS
on that wonderful day you took it all away now i have
freedom
now i realise how your love came down in no disguise to make things right
you took all the blame traded all your beauty for my shame now i'll sing
CHORUS
poeple all around the world come together sing as one
[Music: Leandro / Marcelo Lyrics: Leandro]
Live and feel the liberty in my eyes is just what I want
But to live in this time, in the world that is covered in flames
And demons ruled over man
[BRIDGE]
Living now and forever will be
My battle so I can live free
Someday I will return to keep my fight and die for…
[CHORUS]
FREEDOM is the only way
FREEDOM to have another day
FREEDOM is the feeling that I feel
To keep the fight for
FREEDOM people will live again
FREEDOM burning the eternal flames
FREEDOM give me forces so I can live
And keep the fight for freedom
Sacred blow of destiny gave us the cruel and injustice law
From the forces of the evil that will never be stopped
The parchment spoke the truth
The kiss of sacred flames will reign over the land
[BRIDGE - CHORUS]
It's time for revenge
Revenge that's mine
Living now and forever my batlle will happen in this night
But I will fight…
[CHORUS]
Freedom... OOOOhhh
Homophobic feelings
Rascist ideas
Sexist behaviour
The production of meat
It's always the same in this society
Why can't we all belive free?
Nationalistic feelings
Colonialistic Ideas
Imperialistic behaviour
Coca Cola company
You can call it freedom, I call it hypocrisy
I don't want to show my ID
Open up the borders
You can't stop me
Flashing lights in the mirror
Sirens' wail in the night
My heart's beatin' faster and faster
Can't get them out of sight
How did things turn out this way?
Is this the price that I've gotta pay?
From now on I am wanted and condemned to hide
If I want to keep my
Freedom
Such a beautiful word when you struggle for it
Freedom
My only goal, my obsession
Now I've finally lost them
And I really need a rest
I taste every second of this quiet moment
But how long will it last?
No more chance to settle down
I gotta leave all my past behind
An outlaw on the run for the rest of my life
That's my strange kind of
Freedom
Such a beautiful word when you struggle for it
Freedom
My only goal, my obsession
Freedom
Now I've got to learn how to live in the shade
Freedom
And my destiny's a never-ending escape, escape
Freedom
Such a beautiful word when you struggle for it
Freedom
My only goal, my obsession
Freedom
But when there ain't a place you can call home
Freedom
Lower your flags, go back to your homes
Let them forgive you if they can for hundreds of years
murder and theft,or else you'll die to day
You have misstaken your place in this game, kneel down
before your king
For I am your ruler, from now on today you'll follow my
commands
You have enslaved our people, our way of life will soon
be gone
We won't cave in
Freedom, we cry for freedom
On this Stirling Bridge we fight for something no one's
ever had before
They don't know a thing, they fight for a king who
promised us freedom if we surrender
One thing they can not withdraw from us all our minds
and our hearts
Those men who fought beside eachother
In the dawn they fought for the man with a strong
belief (the strongest belief)
A belief in their freedom, something that I never had
and never will
I desires peace, withdraw your attack! In return I
grant you gold
Titles, estates of the finest of man listen to your
king!!!
A lordship and title, where in the bible can you read
of Judas live down
I'm not that kind of man
"You have bled, now bleed with me"
Freedom, we cry for freedom
It's all for nothing if you don't believe in your own
freedom
You don't know a thing, you fight for a king who
promised you freedom if you surrender
One thing they can not withdraw from us all our minds
and our hearts
All weak men betray, all lose heart for their own glory
God, I beg you God, give me strength
So hear now my last prayer
She was my one true love, and for my life they ended
hers just to make me come to them
Vengeance, the price is blood below your feet if you
don't dare to detain your noble rights
Freedom, oh Freedom, I cry for our freedom!
Never before to your king have I sworn a trustworthy
alliance
We'll never die!
Freedom, we cry for freedom
Now It's all for nothing if you don't believe in your
own freedom
You don't know a thing, you fight for a king who
promised you freedom if you surrender
One thing they can not withdraw from us all our minds
and our hearts
I cry for freedom, that's all we'll ever have
Please God, give me strength to die well tonight
We want our freedom now
You pay with your life for a certain demise
But only if believe it, so God give me strength to die
[Verse 1]
It's Shan's what I'm called, I stand tall and brave
And me and Marley Marl is as close as a shave
My rhymes lock jaw like a pitbull bite
Suckers always try to sleep on me cause I look light
See, a lotta wack rappers try to rack their brains
To feel a style of MC, come on, break these chains
Speak now or hold your peace when I decide to pass it
But every rhyme you ever had could never surpass this
If rhymes were food, the main source for livin
You would swear that every line of my rhyme was thanksgiving
I don't bite styles, weak rhymes, I don't need em
Stop jockin me, boy, give me my freedom
[Verse 2]
I wanna break away clean, I mean virtually spotless
And all year long I been schemin and plottin this
If beats were cakes, then my rhymes'd get frosted
This is '88 and I still ain't lost it
For all of those who still got a doubt in their mind
There ain't a rapper livin bad enough to take mine
There ain't no studio-illusion and no scratch-syncin
Stop - if that's what you're thinkin
Write rhymes simultaneously, say em in pairs
And I would hate to have a rapper proclaim it theirs
Instead in comin in a limo, bring a casket and hearse
Before we speak we'll hear the preacher from the deacon first
We won't be gathered that day to unite no couple up
Marley, are we gettin this on tape? (Yup)
All you dirty low-down better slow down faster
Your technique isn't good enough to hang with the master
I don't bite styles, weak rhymes, I dont need em
Stop jockin me, boy, jockin me, son, jockin me, punk
Jockin me, kid, give me my, give me my, give me my freedom
[Verse 3]
I'm the opposite of what you say a slob is
Dumpin suckers off is exactly what my job is
I'm feared like Napoleon and blessed like Buddah
You couldn't face me solo, you'd have to bring your crew to
Dump me off, I don't recollect the mumble
I ain't soft, homeboy, and picture me crumble
And forget all of those that don't like my rap
I don't be kickin that old shooby-dooby-doo-wop crap
Rappers often brag about their bitin deejay
But they can't do Marley nothin, no how, so hey
It's clear to the ear what I'm sayin, son
That's why we feel like slaves on the freedom run
And each and every time a wack rapper walks by me
His head starts singin: Come on and fly me...
I don't bite styles, weak rhymes, I don't need em
Stop jockin me, boy, jockin me, son, jockin me, punk
Jockin me, kid, give me my freedom
[Verse 4]
We can do this like Brutus, I'm not mad, I'm pissed
This parade of mine I doubt that you can rain on this
You couldn't place my rhymes amongst mortal men
When I be rhymin on beats that set the hip-hop trend
I will always exist because I'm bein preserved
Don't agree to set me free, then you gotta be served
I earned a name amongst society as lyrically ill
But yet I'm loyal, see, cause marley hooks the beat up still
There's no way that you could say there's a day I'd fess
Hamana-hamana-nothin, you can kill that mess
My rhymes are ruthless, no heart, and totally wretched
And if they was to fall down then the beats would catch it
I don't bite styles, weak rhymes, I don't need em
Stop jockin me, boy, jockin me, son, jockin me, punk
I close my eyes
Look deep inside
All what I see
It's neverending lies
YOU!
You made me feel so grown
And late throw down my crown
So now my youth is gone...
I feel closes of fear
Deep in my brain
All what I feel it's neverending pain
My pride was silent cry
My life was sacrifice
I DON'T FORGIVE MY CRY!
Now I ask you
Set me free
Pray the heaven
I must stay like a steel
My belief
You should now give back to me
To my eyes can look and SEE...
HATE!
This life that we create
This pain behind the gate
I need to feel my hate
PRIDE!
I introduce my bride
All always by my side
I hate my deadly pride
One day they will get you from behind
Empty your pockets see you out of your mind
You think it's funny when they ask for more
You'll be sorry you never freed them before
All the kids stand on the streets
Holes in the shoes on their feet
Those skinny kids got nothing to eat
But some day you'll free em oh yeah
Your blind to what goes on today
All the poverties on display
You won't see 'cos your so far away
Until soon they'll be knocking on your door
All the kids will rule the streets
Making our plans for us to meet
We will fight 'til the end
We're doing all we can with hands behind our backs, still freedom is all that I demand
Well, paint me in the corner and watch me grow claws
Where survival's at stake, watch morals come undone
Well jump, jump through your hoops, jump in the fire again,
well I've been through so much, still feel I'm nowhere
Escalation, hostility is foaming over as we reach the boiling point,
peak breached, when a coup d'état is unleashed
Your minimums, your maximums
No fickle, dickle, dickle, daddily dums
No trash talk, shake hands and walk away
We're doing all we can with hands behind our backs, still freedom is all that I demand
A crook I am not, excuse me relax
Just give me breathing room, so I can leave my stamp
Well, who's driving this bus, well I want off now, cause you are the crook running this scam
We're doing all we canwith hands behind our backs
Still freedom is all that I demand
It's one common thought
It's one common need
It's one in a million but it's one common greed
You've opened your eyes, don't know what you've seen
It's one in a million, but they're fighting over greed.
An old man once said
When the war is over we would be free
He said that we'd have to drive
Those Nazis back to Germany
His vote in the post-war years
Was a steadfast cast for FDR
Ââ Cause he thought that the new deal
Would heal a nation's bleeding heart
A man in his middle years
Shed tears about the economy
He said that the balance of the deficity
Would set us free
He was caught in a fragile state
Cause the Dow had never sunk this far
So he searched for the deliverance
At the bottom of a bottle at a local bar
CHANNEL
Everybody, Everybody wants to be free
But I'm here to tell you
CHORUS
Freedom
Can only be found in the blood of Jesus
Freedom
Can only be known in the love of God
Freedom
Comes to whoever would dare to believe Jesus is
Freedom
A child once spoke of the hour
When school would end and he could play
His freedom waited for him
At the ending of another day
His dream was to get to his home
For a stickball challenge on the avenue
If he could get past the dealer
Selling dope
In the middle of the hall at the grammar school
All things you keep with yourself. Wouldn't buy your
Just would make you, one more wealth's puppet.
Where's your essence? Cannot you buy it?
Find your real values and don't be a king nothing
Bridge: Your choice will be the one
Follow your heart
Free your mind
Chorus: Don´t think about it
You know what you are looking for
Don't think about it
Or you will always be alone
Why don't you open your eyes? What you need is by your
side!
Just one motion will change everything. Be happy !!! No
more slaves.
If someday you heard any voice and don't know where it
comes from
Maybe is yourself crying out for the freedom.
Bridge,Chorus
Every little things that you've ever found
Haven't been enough to show your will
Perhaps someday you wonder how to celebrate
Your power of lord that will be taken ill
If there is a reason to recomence
Why don't you get over your fears
Once upon a time a false freedom in flames
That would make you wish swallow your tears
Feel your dreams
Use your heart
Fight against
I won't let your down
I will not give you up
Gotta have some faith in the sound
It's the one good thing that I've got
I won't let you down
So please don't give me up
Because I would really love to stick around
Heaven knows I was just a young boy
Didn't know what I wanted to be
I was every little hungry schoolgirls
Pride and joy
And I guess it was enough for me
To win the race? A better face! Brand new clothes and a big fat place
On rock and roll TVBut today the way I play the game is not
The same
No way - think I'm gonna
Get me some happy
Bridge: I think there's something you should know
I think it's time I told you so
There's something deep inside of me
There's someone else I've got to be
Take back your picture in a frame
Take back your singing in the rain
I just hope you understand
Sometimes the clothes don't make the man
Chorus: All we have to do now
Is take these lies
And make them true somehow
All we have to see
Is that I don't belong to you
And you don't belong to me
Freedom - you've gotta give
For what you take
Freedom - you've gotta give
For waht you take
Heaven knows we sure had some fun, boy
What a kick: Just a buddy and me
I went back home
Got a brand new face
For the boys on MTVBut today the way I play the game
Has got to change
Oh yeah - now I'm gonna get myself
Happy
Freedom (you want freedom?)
Freedom (you want freedom?)
Freedom (you want freedom?)
Llibertat
És quan parlem de lluitar que jo penso que
Criticar I limitar això no pot ser
Que no devem oblidar el nostre passat recent
I mai, I mai, I mai
Mai dividir la unitat que no passaran
Que tu saps, que jo sé, que no ens venceran
I les veus, que no callaran
I que lluitant, resistint no ens matxacaran
I ara bé, al carrer haurem de tornar
Doncs no conec cap imperi que hagi renunciat
Al seu poder, la resposta és popular
I ho farem, I ho farem. To fight
Ocultant I oblidant I amagant
Solidaritat
Solidari
Freedom (you want freedom?)
Askatasuna!
Burnizko ate erraldoi horrek muga dela amaten du
Baina kolpatuz eta kolpatuz hortzak dizkiote kendu Herraietatik eztarro batek deihadar bat botatzen du
Airean joan eta atean kolpe bortitz bat jotzen du
Aska... askatasuna
Aska... askatasuna
Indakeriari erantzuteko erabiltzen da indarra Gaurkoa baino ilunagoa izan ez dedin biharra
Freedom (you want freedom?)
Freedom (you want freedom?)
Freedom (you want freedom?)
In the nightfall, the shadows around me
Taking off my blood and freezing my heart
I resist in my belief
I can see the light in the middle of the dark
Trying to spot my glory
The creatures of the night send dreams for me
Burning the sins from my knowing
A silent voice says what I must be
But I draw up my sword
And my courage will be proved again, and again and
again…
My honor and my word
Are my favorite weapons remain
Inside of my heart
Freedom, freedom forever, the feelin’ in my soul, the
still in my heart
For ever and ever, running in my thought, keeping
strong my arms
Like the shining star in the infinity
I see your might
Freedom, we’ll stand together, I need your bless to
build a paradise
Wounds that never heal
Useless remedies without effect
I live a life I don’t feel
My eyes don’t give attention to the attack
Interlude
I can feel the soft wind in my hair
My hope doesn´t leave me feel the despair

But you don't worry no more

When you feel that beat you better

When you feel that rhythm you should

The world would say, do whatever makes you happy
JUST BE FREE!
No bondage just liberty.
But what they won't say is you become a slave to sin,
bound in the chains of death, you become a victim.
Get all you can get, and be all that you can be,
but you'll die
Die in the yoke of slavery...
Sin has your soul in bondage...
with all the debt to pay for it...
God will set you free from it...
God will set you free...
I can't believe that abortion's not genocide,
and all of God's laws they just set aside,
legally they DO WHAT'S WRONG,
standing tall with no care for God at all...
This freedom is a gift but you use it to corrupt
yourself,
to get what you want, and promote your selfishness.
This freedom should be used to build yourself in
Christ,
so when you die die,
You'll have hope for eternal life...
We thank God for this freedom...
because He laid down his life for us...
make the choice to follow him...
and God will set you free...
Where rape is called 'freelance gynecology'
Portraits of heathens hang, while heroes die on our t.v. screen
Not a soul in sight
Just a coroner who can't sleep,
Because of what he sees when he dreams at night
The corpses stare at him with open arms and wide open eyes
This is not a dream
Just wake up and see what i mean
(chorus)
What a tale
We have failed
Paradise lost in the midst of this freedumb
(you let me down!)
Where world religion has had a suicidal theme
You'll find more demons in gods than you'll find on these corrupted streets
'bold statements from a liar'
Your beliefs are broken so, danger, danger, hide or retreat
In god we will contradict
Now let the truth be released
Of untold tales and mistruths
Bring forth the whole world to see
That your manmade faith and your contagious 'steepled casino' cult
Is just a lie
Keep your security
I don't need you
Keep your stability
I don't need you
You keep your guarantee
I don't need you
Keep your book of faith
Can't see through false freedom's eyes
(chorus)
They told their tales
Now shotgun shells
Will send their souls
Back to hell
All has failed
Nothing's well
Your secret lies
In this well...
Too close to bottom...
Impulse suffer, reflex beating from your mind
Chosen
Freedom, the word that means blind
Hatred, swells up inside from this freedom
Well
Oh well
You suffer
No one lives to tell
Well
Oh well
It's over
No one lives to tell
Too close
This well
I'm going down by the riverside
Gonna wash away my troubles in the noon day tide
The tax man's coming and he wants his dues
But the only way to catch me is to wet his shoes
I've found my freedom, a paradise meant for me
I've found my freedom, da-de-da-dn de-de-dee
I've found my freedom, a paradise meant for me
I've found my freedom, da-de-da-dn de-de-dee
Hold my head up and look to the sun
I've found me a place where I don't have to run
No-one to find me in my restricted zone
'Cause I've left my address as a place unknown
I've found my freedom, a paradise meant for me
I've found my freedom, da-de-da-dn de-de-dee
Remember all you people if you're tired and down
You've got to leave the city or you're sure to drown
Make a bid for freedom and you're sure to find
You've found yourself the good life and your peace of
mind
I've found my freedom, a paradise meant for me
I've found my freedom, da-de-da-dn de-de-dee
I've found my freedom, a paradise meant for me
I've found my freedom, da-de-da-dn de-de-dee
I've found my freedom, a paradise meant for me
Outside a storm is raging
Inside my faith is strong
Love came down without warning
Love walked out without saying
Can't hide my secret
Can't live this lie no more
What can you say to make me change my mind?
Sometimes she feels so empty
Sometimes she feels so scared
Can't say the things I'm thinking
Locked in a room of strangers
Can't hide that truth hurts
Can't live this lie no more
What can you say to make me change my mind?
Freedom comes like a brand new day
Freedom lies in the words you say
Freedom waits when I'm by your side
Freedom lives when I'm close to you
When I'm close to you
When I'm close to you
Freedom comes to you and all I want is
Freedom freedom freedom freedom
Freedom freedom freedom freedom
Yeah yeah yeah
Why does she feel so empty?
Why does she feel so scared?
Why do the stars come crashing?
When will the rain stop falling?
Can't face the past now
Can't live this lie no more
Here comes my chance to leave it all behind
Freedom comes like a brand new day
Freedom lies in the words you say
Freedom waits when I'm by your side
Freedom lives when I'm close to you
When I'm close to you
When I'm close to you
Freedom comes to you and all I want is
Freedom freedom freedom freedom
Freedom freedom freedom freedom
Freedom comes
Freedom waits
Freedom lives
Freedom lies
Freedom comes
Freedom waits
Freedom lives
Travelled from the home so far
For a price of everything he has
A man said he would take them
beyond your faith not saying
Promise of some hope and dreams
Never saying that your life will be at stake
(Freedom) Where is their home?
(Freedom) Never finding it's embrace
Not a country or a place
(Freedom) Where is their home?
(Freedom) Never finding it's embrace (embrace)
Such a desperate face
Shots heard from the ridge upon the hill
Take them to a place where you can hide
Take you child and run now
But no promise of a means to help survive
Offers of hope asylum they provide
(Freedom) Where is their home?
Not a country or a place
(Freedom) Where is their home?
(Freedom) Never finding it's embrace
Such a desperate face
(Freedom) Never finding it's embrace
When can a person who is sleeping in the streets
Take back a part of their life from a time when they were complete
(Freedom) Where is their home?
Not a country or a place
(Freedom) Where is their home?
(Freedom) Never finding it's embrace
Such a desperate face
(Freedom) where is their home?
(Freedom) Never finding it's embrace
(Freedom) Never finding it's embrace
Not a country or a place
(Freedom) where is their home?
Such a desperate face
Such a fine, fine day
Rain has gone away
Won't be long now
Freedom
It's a suicide ride
To the other side
Time has finally come
Freedom
So take your angel wings outside
Baby, lift them up to the open sky
Freedom
I miss your pretty face
And your jazzabelle ways
Take it all and run
Freedom
Hear the angel sing
And hear the bells ring
Love is everything
So take your angel wings outside
Baby, lift them up to the open sky
Freedom, freedom
Yeah, take your angel wings outside
Baby, lift them up to the open sky
I feel so alone
I'm trapped in this tomb of sorrow
Embalmed in my solitude I wither
Embalmed in my solitude I wither eternally.
Lurching,
Searching Forever they search.
Lusting,
clawing My lifeblood they lust.
Offal and fetor
My bread and my wine
Beetles confuse me
They see through my eyes
I am one with the world
For my conscience is lost,
I'm looking through a
Shattered window at the
Rubble of an iron wall
And laughing
At the beauty of it all
Things man made are built
To fall says the bird
Locked in his cage
A single voice
That echoes through the rage
'Cause when you get that
Taste of freedom
That comes only through
Salvation
You will understand
Chorus
I close my eyes
And I'm there
In Heaven
A part of you
Live in me too
And when I dream
Of this special world
I'm there with you
We become one
I peeked through the paper
To read our thoughts
Cutting out the
Pictures of decay
A souvenir of changes
taking place
'Cause when you get that
Taste of freedom
That comes only through
Salvation
You will understand
Repeat Chorus
Break the chains
Birds fly from the cage
And drift upon
The winds of change
It’s a ride, it’s a trip.
It ain’t right, if it don’t hurt just a bit.
It’s a shot, in the dark.
Just might mean, that we don’t hit that mark.
It’s a lesson, that we all got to learn.
It’s a fire, babe it’s just got to burn.
We can’t stop, where the river flows.
Where it ends, say we all got to go.
When the night falls and the day comes back around now don’t
Let it get away oh no ‘cause it’s your time now
What you gonna make of your Freedom?
When your’ all caught up close your eyes and you will find
Nothing in your way oh no ‘cause it’s your time now
What you gonna make of your freedom?
It’s a lie, oh it’s a trick.
Just ‘cause they slappin’ on a label mamma don’t make it stick
What I am is what you got
What we do is keep on pushin’ don’t stop.
What we’re here for is what we stay for
What we pray for cause it’s never enough.
When the night falls and the day comes back around now don’t
Let it get away oh no ‘cause it’s your time now
Tell me what you gonna make of your freedom?
When you’re all caught up close your eyes and you will find
Nothing in your way oh oh ‘cause it’s your time now
Far on the highlands
A thousand graves can tell you
How blood and sorrow
Can be truly value
The ghost of our proud heroes
Whispers bout the past
Its painting the sky
With the holy blood of irish
Freedom
Far on the highlands
A thousand graves can tell you
How blood and sorrow
Can be truly value
Wipe the tears away
From your eyes coz my love is
Strong enough to see the God
Freedom not a word is so abused
There are so many people misused
Does it really exist?
Or is there something that I've missed
Freedom it sounds in my head and in my ears
Freedom to live in a world without fear
Will it ever come that far
Or is it just a shooting star
Freedom stained with blood
Freedom they say in the name of god
It can't come out of a barrel from a gun
Or exclusively for one
Freedom for you and for me
Freedom the whole world must be free
Will we ever reach that far?
Or is it just a shooting star
Freedom, Freedom, Freedom, Freedom
Freedom, Freedom, Freedom, Freedom
Freedom, only if it is for everyone
We'll keep on shouting till it's done
Freedom no weapons no disease
Freedom lets get into a dance for peace

I cover my eyes as the
Sun's pouring in
No, I never thought
Last night would end
And there's smoke in the house
I woke up on the couch again
I got nowhere to go and
No one to see
The birds out my window are
Singing to me
And I don't know their song
So I hum along out of key
And this place sure feels haunted
I guess I got what I wanted
Freedom
This three dollar coffee
It sure tastes like hell
But I don't have to answer to
Anyone else
I just sit here in peace
Till I wanna leave, oh well
And I'm here without you
Where I wanted to be
I guess I got what was
Coming to me
Freedom, freedom
Me and the dreamers
Burning up the midnight sky
Foolish believers
Throw it all away and
Wave goodbye
I open my eyes as the
Sun's going down
All by myself
There's nobody around
So this is freedom, so this is
Freedom
This is freedom, this is freedom
Cry For The Children Who Live Far From You
Cry For The Heroes Who Died Without You
Cry For Their Lives!
Cry For All Those Who Cried For You Before
They Spent Their Lives Trying To Find You
In Love. Cry For Their Lives!
Freedom! Your The One That Kills The Night
Freedom! Your The One Who Leaves Us Just
Before We Think We're Not Alone
Freedom Where's Your Heart?
When We're Lost Where's Your Love?
Where's Your Warm When All We Feel
Is Cold
Can't Wait Anymore, Your Promises Are Gone
Now We Know We're Not Your Sons
Our Make Up's Melting Now.
Our Smile Is Breaking Down
Behind Our Beauty We're Alone
Freedom! Your The One That Kills The Night
Freedom! Your The One Who Lies Us Just
I found freedom, was the kind you're looking for, I found freedom, it came from the Lord, Oh, Jesus freed me from the laws of sin and death, Talk about freedom - this is freedom at it's best.
One thing I got to say: ain't never found it any other way, I know I'm gonna stay with Jesus.
I found peace, was the kind you're looking for, I found peace, it came from the Lord, Oh, this peace is kind of hard to comprehend, This peace is kind of hard to understand.
One thing I got to say: ain't never found it any other way, I know I'm gonna stay with Jesus.
Ooh, stay now.
I found love, was the kind you're looking for, Oh, and I found love, it came from my Lord, This love, you know it really, really changed my life, This kind of love, said it opened up my eyes.
One thing I got to say: ain't never found it any other way, I know I'm gonna stay with Jesus, oh, And I know I'm gonna stay with Jesus, The one and only cure for sin now, And I know I'm gonna stay with Jesus, ooh, I know I'm gonna stay with... I don't know about you people, but I'm gonna stay with my sweet Jesus, Yes, I am, Hey.
And I know I'm gonna stay with Jesus, I know I'm gonna stay with Jesus, ooh, ooh, And I know I'm gonna stay with Jesus, And I know I'm...
I'm gonna stay, yeah, I'm gonna stay, Oh Lord, I'm gonna stay.
Turn me loose
Set me free, from the chains that bind me
Let me run to my own direction
Let me go
Set me free from all this prropaganda and lies
That your peope try to teach me
I know why
You would like to keep me down
Because I have all the dibs on you
You try to tell me that my life
Ain't worth a damn, but I know much better
And so I'm gonna take my
Chorus
Freedom
Take it from you
Since you won't give it
Freedom
Freedom
All this time, you been tellin' me these lies
But now I've finally figured out your game
Thought that I would never wise up
But I showed you what
A black female can do her thang
Then I would continue to keep me oppressed
But I ain't goin' out like that
All these lies and all this propaganda
That you want me to take, I;m gonna take my
Freedom
Freedom for my body
Freedom for my mind
Freedom for my spirit
To write what I wanna write
To read what I wanna read
Freedom to say what I wanna say
Give me all of my Freedom
Take it back
Take it back
All that shit that you been doin' to me, yeah
Take it back
'cause now I'm wiser
If you don't give it I'm gonna take it
Freedom
Freedom
he drank wine all night of the
28th, and he kept thinking of her:
the way she walked and talked and loved
the way she told him things that seemed true
but were not, and he knew the color of each
of her dresses
and her shoes-he knew the stock and curve of
each heel
as well as the leg shaped by it.
and she was out again and when he came home, and
she'd come back with that special stink again,
and she did
she came in at 3 a.m in the morning
filthy like a dung eating swine
he took out a butchers knife
and she screamed
backing into the rooming house wall
still pretty somehow
in spite of love's reek
and he finished the glass of wine.
that yellow dress
his favorite
and she screamed again.
and he took up the knife
and unhooked his belt
and tore away the cloth before her
and cut off his balls.
and carried them in his hands
like apricots
and flushed them down the
toilet bowl
and she kept screaming
as the room became red
GOD O GOD!
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?
and he sat there holding 3 towels
between his legs
no caring now whether she left or
stayed
wore yellow or green or
anything at all.
and one hand holding and one hand
lifting he poured
Freedom to the whites! We want the white right! Through
the fog we must now find a way to the sunlight!
This road has been so tough and rough, so don’t take
any step turned back! All the faceless moved like ???
they carry ??? enemy’s blood! They take away our
rights, try to replace it by ???-I hope, everyone will
wake soon, before our freedom has gone!
But where is the freedom? I can cry! Where is the
freedom of this time? Giving me freedom, a little peace
of mine! But where is the freedom? I can cry! Where is
the freedom of this time? Giving me freedom, a little
peace of mine!
Freedom to the whites! We want the white right! Through
the fog we must now find a way to the sunlight!
Yeah, time keeps going on to the wrong side of the
road-Wrong words ??? of love! When a white man ??? to
raise ??? he’ll be rest of his life in jail-When a
black man makes the same crime, they say: “Hello and
have a nice day!”
But where is the freedom? I can cry! Where is the
freedom of this time? Giving me freedom, a little peace
of mine! But where is the freedom? I can cry! Where is
the freedom of this time? Giving me freedom, a little
peace of mine!
But where is the freedom? I can cry! Where is the
freedom of this time? Giving me freedom, a little peace
of mine! But where is the freedom? I can cry! Where is
the freedom of this time? Giving me freedom, a little
peace of mine!
If you feel like dancing
In the middle of the street
Breaking in to song
Or singing out of key
And if you fall in love
Go on and kiss that girl or boy
And if you like your music loud
Make a little noise
[Chorus]
When you let it go
What they say is true
When you let it go
It'll come right back to you
When you let it go
There is freedom when you do
When you let it go
It'll come right back to you
(Everybody sing)
La La La La La
If something's on your mind
Say what you need to say
And if you need to make a change
Go on and walk away
If something's in your heart
You gotta let it out
Go on and show the whole wide world
What you are all about
[Chorus]
Life is very short
We're here and then we're gone
So open up your hands
No more holding on
Come with me i'll show you things
You won;t believe you won;t believe
Here I stand in the devil's eyes
He's taken me i'm crucified
Freedom Freedom thats what I need
Freedom Freedom come and set me free
Come with me you won't believe
The agony and the irony
Here I stand as the world turns
My spirits still my body burns
You got my pride
Hanging out of my bed
You mess with my life
So I bought my lead
Even mess with my children
And you're screaming at my wife
Get off of my back!
If you wanna get out of here alive
Freedom, freedom
Give to me
That's what I need
Freedom, freedom
To live
Freedom, freedom
So I can give
You got my heart
Speaking electic water
You got my soul
Screaming and hollering
You know you hooked my girlfriend
You know the drug store man
Well I don't need it now
I'm just trying to slap it out of her hands
Freedom, freedom
Give to me
That's what I need
Freedom, freedom
To live
Freedom, freedom
That's what I need
You don't have to
Say that you love me
If you don't mean it
You'd better believe
If you need me
Or you just wanna bleed me
Better stick in your dagger
Someone else
So I can leave, set me free!
Yeah, she's right
Straight ahead
Yep...straight up there
Freedom, so I can live
Freedom, so I can give...
I feel the anger building stronger and stronger
I feel the flames of the fire from the inside moving out
to disarm you
I'm becoming sick-frustrated and tired
So called tin gods tried to do as they desired
knocking down the buildings doesn't change a single thing
Just makes us stronger
You're never gonna take away my Freedom
My freedom
Got my freedom and it's right here in my hand
I see the soldiers
Goin out to protect us
I feel the flames of the fires come together
They get higher and higher
My rights, tell me 'bout my rights
It's time to fight for what you believe
This mule ain’t from Moscow
This mule ain’t from the South
But this mule has some learnin'
Mostly mouth-to-mouth
This mule could be called stubborn and lazy
But in a clever sorta’ way this mule could be workin’,
waitin’ and learnin’ and plannin’
For a sacred kind of day
A day when burnin’ sticks and crosses is not mere
child’s play
But a madman in his most incandescent bloom
Whose lover’s soul is imperfection and is most lustrous
groom
So, stand fast there young mule
Soothe in contemplation
That burning whole and aching thigh
Your stubbornness is ever living
And cool anxiety is about to die
Freedom for your daddy
Freedom for your momma
Freedom for your brothers and sisters
But no freedom for me
Freedom for your daddy’s daddy
Freedom for your momma’s momma
Freedom for your brothers and sisters
But no freedom for me
Freedom for your daddy’s daddy
Freedom for your momma’s momma
Freedom for your brothers and sisters
She left, out of Leeville
When she was seventeen
Get her down to South Texas
In a broken down machine
With all she had
Left her momma cryin'
An' her daddy mad
When she wore her hair up
She could pass for twenty-one
Her brown eyes an' red lipstick
She could sure leave a man undone
She wouldn't be back
She'd leave 'em all reelin'
In the aftermath
Singin', freedom is a wish
She'll fool the stars on the radio
Tires squealin' with St.Christopher
Barely hangin' on
She was down at the offshore lounge
Singin' in the bar
She sang 'Patsy Cline' like you never heard
Filled up her mason jar
With just enough cash
Take herself a little further
On down the map, yeah
Singin', freedom is a wish
She'll fool the stars an' the radio
Tires squealin' with St.Christopher
Barely hangin' on
Another heart, another time
Another town, she'll leave behind
Singin' freedom
Is freedom what I need?
Locked in captivity.
I'm tired of being trapped, I'm tired of being alone.
My home is calling me, yeah.
But I won't, I won't go, till everybody knows
That I won't, I won't go, I won't go...
Is freedom what I need?
I'm voiceless in my plea.
You don't even speak my language, I'm deaf to your words.
So will you stand for me? Yeah!
But I won't, I won't go, till everybody knows
That I won't, I won't go, till everybody knows
I wo-o-on't, I won't go, till everybody knows
That I won't, I won't go, I won't go-o!
But I won't, I won't go, till everybody knows
That I won't, I won't go, I won't go... Ha!
Yeah... yeah!
Freedom!
Freedom!
Freedom!
Abelard
I fly where the winds kiss the blue sky
To find places scented and lush
I whisper my dreams to the noon thrush
And never let sweet freedom die
I've fled from my tomb of contentment
I've cut through the teeth of their chains
I've broken my bonds of resentment
Loosened the grip on their reins
Openly she teaches
Goddess of all seasons
Silently she speaks my name
Cast your cares upon her
Goddess of all reasons
And you'll never be the same
I play in her courtyard at night-fall
Worship her song without shame
Like water on fire near the sea-wall
Freedom sets my world aflame
Light up all the heavens
Soar up to the summit
And you'll never plummet down
Fantasies so wondrous
Ecstasies so luminous
Freedom's her eternal name
Choir
Fantasies so wondrous
Ecstasies so luminous
Freedom's her eternal name
Freedom
Abelard
[Hook x4: Talib Kweli sample]
"Livin' my life, expressin' my liberty
It gotta be done properly" "done properly"
[Verse 1:]
My patterns is unmatched
I leave MC's hunchbacked with one rap
Guaranteed no comeback
I run laps around 'em, roll like Dunlap tires
Made a lot of niggas retire, I be ya highness
Sucka MC's might as well call me a sire
Just shootin' the breeze
Fuck a plane, I take you higher
This is rap for my niggas that pack, push packs
To the citizens, fakin' no jax and we militant
Straight up out the trenches
Young black and gifted
Slung sacks ridiculous, done that, you kiddin'?
160, but with a pen, I feel brolic
I can still knowledge, bang out hits like Phil Collins
Duck tail with the Starter cap, way before the rap
I was pullin' ho's, kickin' verses off the dome
Now I'm movin' up, I can't even front
Should be in the pen for all the shit I done did
But I'm livin' my life
[Hook]
[Verse 2:]
Yeah, you are now about the witness the strength of street knowledge
Give it to 'em
Knowledge increase it, college enroll
Captivity, leave it, keep dreamin', goals
Power, money, spend it with control
God, life, mind, body and soul
Reach one, teach one, young to the old
History's a mystery and lies were sold
Positive reality, luxury homes
Bentley, Ferrari, Jaguar, Rolls
Royce's, racism, royalty, gold
Conflict diamonds, the world is cold
Niggas, bitches, freedom, senses
CPS infants, the future, the children
Addiction, supplements, hustlin', pimpin'
Fame, jealousy, pain, redemption
Politics, bullshit, ignorant content
Conscious nonsense, the mind is complex
Progress, the president, the people, the projects
Progress, the president, the people, the projects
Liberty queen, she was American dream
They put a statue of her in the river
Boats passing by catch the big woman's eye
But a second glance, sailor don't give her
Gathering moss, staring across from the city
It's a pity, nobody care
About a relic from a bygone era
Freedom, freedom, freedom
Free, that's what I was born to be
Home of the brave, cradle to grave
Being righteous don't make you no money
'Cause I'm barely able to put food on the table
While Big Bear's rolling in honey
But don't cry
There's only one thing you take with you when you die
Freedom, freedom, freedom
Freedom will come to real love
Heaven will come for real love Run away when it hurts from the things that we do
Don't know why we cry, run away from the truth
Children of new men, colors of human kind and shadow
Good is your loving, growing, sharing storms (stories?)Believe
You've got to believe Broaden the day
Freedom will come
And we will arise to real love
Day by day, heaven will come
And we will survive for real love Cherish the union
A light in a strangers eyes
Your guardian angel will make all the wrong things right
Believe
You've got to believe Broaden the day
Freedom will come
And we will arise to real love
Day by day, heaven will come
And we will survive for real love Broaden the day
Freedom will come
And touch the sky and heaven above
Day by day, heaven will come
Longing for the ability to fly out to the sky and be
where I've never been
Longing for the ability to touch that what I've never
touched before
Longing for the ability to walk ahead and see that what
I've never seen
Longing for the ability to escape this cell and embrace
Freedom, the wish from deep inside to break out
And to not be unheard again
Freedom, the wish from deep inside to break out
And to take over this life
Again I'm trying to break out of this chains that are
keeping me so tight
Again I'm trying to fulfil my deepest desire
Still I'm waiting for the day to step out of the dark and
see the light
Still I'm waiting for the day to start my life and
embrace the
Freedom, the wish from deep inside to break out
And to not be unheard again
Freedom, the wish from deep inside to break out
The sound of steps has come closer, has clicked the bolt,
On the table only a slice of bread and a mug of water.
"Again", - he has thought, - "again the same",
Without the right to make a choice, without the right to have the vote.
A lot of years has passed since he appeared here,
The strength has almost left him
Enchained by his soul, enchained by his body, He couldn't move,
In the hands of the jigger he was a stooge.
Once he has woken up from the strange dream
Which was tantalizing him everyday.
He has never seen what's outside and everynight
He was dreaming how he flies in the sky.
I should, I believe.
This was the last what he has scrolled at his head.
After long, painful days in seclusion,
He strang himself to break off chains.
Flying up to heavens, rending the clouds,
Hovering over the earth, with a smile on the face,
He was fliyng away through many years
I won't let you down
I will not give you up
Gotta have some faith in the sound
It's the one good thing that I've got
I won't let you down
So please don't give me up
Because I would really, really love to stick around
Heaven knows I was just a young boy
Didn't know what I wanted to be
I was every little hungry schoolgirl's pride and joy
And I guess it was enough for me
To win the race? A prettier face!
Brand new clothes and a big fat place
On your rock and roll TV
But today the way I play the game is not the same
No way
Think I'm gonna get me some happy
I think there's something you should know
I think it's time I told you so
There's something deep inside of me
There's someone else I've got to be
Take back your picture in a frame
Take back your singing in the rain
I just hope you understand
Sometimes the clothes do not make the man
All we have to do now
Is take these lies and make them true somehow
All we have to see
Is that I don't belong to you
And you don't belong to me
Freedom
You've gotta give for what you take
Freedom
You've gotta give for what you take
Heaven knows we sure had some fun boy
What a kick just a buddy and me
We had every big shot good-time band on the run boy
We were living in a fantasy
We won the race
Got out of the place
I went back home got a brand new face
For the boys on MTV
But today the way I play the game has got to change
Oh yeah
Now I'm gonna get myself happy
I think there's something you should know
I think it's time I stopped the show
There's something deep inside of me
There's someone I forgot to be
Take back your picture in a frame
Don't think that I'll be back again
I just hope you understand
Sometimes the clothes do not make the man
All we have to do now
Is take these lies and make them true somehow
All we have to see
Is that I don't belong to you
And you don't belong to me
Freedom
You've gotta give for what you take
Freedom
You've gotta give for what you take
Well it looks like the road to heaven
But it feels like the road to hell
When I knew which side my bread was buttered
I took the knife as well
Posing for another picture
Everybody's got to sell
But when you shake your ass
They notice fast
And some mistakes were built to last
That's what you get
I say that's what you get
That's what you get for changing your mind
And after all this time
I just hope you understand
Sometimes the clothes
Do not make the man
I'll hold on to my freedom
May not be what you want from me
Just the way it's got to be
Lose the face now
Somebody, somebody if you wanna party say party (Party), say party (Party)
C'mon
Ah yeah
If you wanna party and that's a fact somebody say, "And you know that" (And you know that)
We don't care if you're 8 to 10 or if you're a senior citizen because we've got a beat that just won't end
So you better get ready to rock my friend
You see, we got some news that you can use, an offer that you can't refuse
We're givin' a party and you've got to come because you're the one
Red, yellow, black, white or brown, in our own way, we can knock it down
Just take your time and enjoy yourself and you rock as good, as anyone else
C'mon yo do it, put your body into it
If the feeling is good, you might as well do it
See it makes no sense just standing around
Just boogie to the beat of the funky sound
You don't rock with us, you won't have a ball
We might as well didn't rock at all
You see, we can't rock if you don't have fun 'cause you're the one that's number one
Now raise your hand up above your head (C'mon) if you agree with what I said
Just (Wave) wave jour hands all in the air, somebody say "Oh Yeah" (Oh yeah)
Flash, one time
Melle Mel with the clientele, I'm gonna rock your chime and ring your bell
See I'm so bad and I'm so light, a lot of rhyme on a dime to make the world turn twice
And I'm Mr.Ness, that rock the best and I'm ready to rock at your request
Go on, go on with your best, Raheim is gonna do the rest
So my name is Raheim, I'm a son of a queen
I'm the king of a castle, don't give me no hassle
Young ladies in the place put me on when I'm a part of your life, you can never go wrong
You say ah first my name was Denny Den, the secret weapon, the master plan
I'm slick, I'm cool, I'm solid gold, they call me the Kid Creole
I'm the C.O.W.B.O.Y. (Why? ), the man's so bad that you can't deny
And when you act the Cowboy to play, I'm Cowboy, I never ran away
Grandmaster, cut faster than any known cell to the bone
Full grown, he's a one of a kind and Flash is gonna rock your mind huh
Flash two times
Beat, beat, you in the crew, hold it
Why don't you find somebody and party?
I like this part
Get down
Hold up, hold up
Quickly now, quickly now
The bass was in your face
? The highs will get your mate to rise?
Young ladies in the place
Feel the highs, feel the bass
If you wanna rock 'till the break of dawn somebody say, "Come on" (come on)
Melle Mel, right on time, it's Taurus, the bull, my zodiac sign
I'm mister Ness and I'm ready to go and I go by the sign of Scorpio
My name is Raheim, I don't like to fuss, my zodiac sign is Aquarius
The Kid Creole is the name of mine and Plaices is my zodiac sing
And I'm Cowboy and I'm running this show, my zodiac sign is Virgo
And Grandmaster Flash cut so on, his zodiac sign is Capricorn
We're gonna try something new
What you're gonna do?
We're gonna try something new
What you're gonna do?
Now that you heard our name and signs, put your name into this rhyme
What's your name?
I said, "What's you name?"
We're gonna try something else
Go for it yourself
We're gonna try something else
Go for it yourself
Gonna try this game one more time
Now this time use your zodiac sign
What's your sign?
I said "What's your sign"
Augustus
Flash, two times
Beat, beat, you and the crew, hold it
They are coming... the new empire
the right hand of god
the new roma is here
our nation will be free
with its broom to sweep
they will erase your belief
you will learn to talk like them
you must... repent!
TELL THEM! "WE ARE FREE"
can you hear the screams of the silents?
TELL THEM! "WE ARE FREE"
a riot will be born and will start tonight
TELL THEM! "WE ARE FREE"
can you feel the screams of the martyrs?
TELL THEM! "WE ARE FREE"
a riot will be born and will start tonight
now it's here, a new empire
show your fist in the air
the new roma is here
they will clean our most dark sins
but no!... we don't need
freedom to fight
freedom to think
we will not eat... from his american dream
TELL THEM! "WE ARE FREE"
you can hear the screams of the silent
TELL THEM! "WE ARE FREE"
a riot will be born and will start tonight
TELL THEM! "WE ARE FREE"
you can feel the screams of the martyrs?
TELL THEM! "WE ARE FREE"
a riot will be born and will start tonight
"DON'T BE AFRAID"
"DON'T BE AFRAID"
It aint just one
The meanings of freedom
Aint the same
Not the things I can give
Something you grab and feel
Any one of us can feel
Everything is gone,
but by the grace of God I stand strong.
You tied this anchor around me one too many times,
and I'm leaving you behind.
Im leaving you behind, with your lies.
Take hold, of your life.
The bonds are broken, and I'm moving forward.
Leaving trespassed territory behind.
Don't let anyone, tear you down.
I'm breaking chains tonight.
The bonds are broken, and I'm moving forward,
leaving trespassed territory behind.
I am free
Born to be suppressed
Our Fate seems to be sealed
We Work for high society
All Day we slave away
We won't accept our destiny
And we'll fight for our right
Let's go to your suppressed
Let's all follow in the call
Surely, the day will come
All power will then be broken
Freedom the eternal cry
Will echo high in the sky
Freedom is the cry
For all slaves to fight
The Tyrants are called
To account for brutal power
Freedom is the essence
Of a human life
Come on – let's be liberated
From our chains of slavery
We had been enslaved
Since the day of our birth
The time has run out
For all Tyrants on this earth
Freedom is the cry
For all slaves to fight
The Tyrants are called
To account for brutal power
Freedom is the essence
Of a human life
Come on – let's be liberated
Mannn
I feel like the walls are closing in
I'm in the club with my bros same hoes again
Same shit different pile find it difficult to smile
It's been with me for a while, the same negative energy
Same friends pretend to be my friends when their my enemies
And lately I don't really like the vibe my girls sendin me
It's eating me up alive
It's beating me up inside
It's keepin me up at night
In the future you might see me acting differnt
Searchin for something that's spiritually uplifting
Cause I don't want my mom to be ashamed of her last name
I'm lost and I'm on the wrong path in the fast lane
On the road to going nowhere fast
Plus I'm going slow so I'm going there last
It's a dead end I'm headed for a brick wall
I'm telling ya I'm tired and I'm sick of all this shit ya'll
That's all I want in my life
I know that I'll be alright
That's all I need in my world
I won't look back any longer
Slow down
To the point I'm chillin man
I've done things in the past that lately got me feelin bad
So am I goin to heaven just because I pray to God and my favourite number seven
Can't say I feel too good about the day I get judged
Although I know that hes forgiving and he doesnt hold a grudge
But when I see my life flash before my eyes
That's probably the day I'll finally be able to cry
It's time for me to self reflect
Man I'm talking bout some self respect
I gotta remind myself cause I forget
Cause I have such a great time with alcohol and sex
It revolves around power
Pretty girls in the shower
Spending money like wow
Want it all right now
Slow down man, how?
I might have to learn
Otherwise I'm gonna crash and burn
Man I'm talkin bout
That's all I want in my life
I know that I'll be alright
That's all I need in my world
I won't look back any longer
My girl finally up and left
I guess she had enough of the tough guy act
This time I'm not gonna hold my breath
I'll keep it open but it's such a rough ride back
I have to let it go man and swallow my pride
Even though I feel so hollow inside
Cause as mad gets older, my heart gets colder
Miss got an angel, devil on my shoulder
Afraid of bein normal, dressing semi formal
She wants to conform you, don't say I didn't warn you
But shes my sunshine and comfort, my whole heart
She called it off and now shes gone
This is so hard
I thought I wanted to be free
But I'm the guy that just got dumped
I don't want it to be me
But even though it hurts
I'm trying not to hate
Cause as soon as she took me back id be tryin to find an escape
That's all I want in my life
I know that I'll be alright
That's all I need in my world
Join the fight
Is this the end?
A test of courage
For all mankind
Freedom
Freedom
Freedom
Freedom
Freedom
Join the fight
Is this the end?
A test of courage
For all mankind
Freedom
Freedom
[Verse 1]
I wanna clap a little louder than before
I wanna sing a little louder than before, Oh
I wanna jump higher than before
I wanna shout a little louder before, Oh
[Chorus]
Freedom
[Verse 2]
I wanna clap a little louder than before
I wanna sing a little louder than before, Oh
I wanna jump higher than before
I gotta scream a little louder than before, Oh
[Verse 3]
I wanna lift my hands higher than before
I wanna love you more than before, Oh
I wanna worship deeper than before
I wanna shout a little louder than before, Oh
[Bridge]
No more shackles, no more chains
No more bondage, I am free
Yeah
[Bridge 2]
Hallelujah
[Tag]
We don't need a reason
to look for a god to pray
all the mistakes we have made
now they take control
if we have a secret
we burn deep in our mind
we never trust each other
we have surrended
trust is the only way
to break all the chains
we fight and die for
a reason
freedom of toughts in your mind
take the pain and the fear you hide
over there is love and life
make your choice it's not too late to be
if you think with your mind
we have time to return
we have time to change the rules
but there's so many ways
leading us to freedom
never use the power
of your arm to take control
but they can't trust each other
they are in trouble
if we stay united we can win it all forever
Take for granted your basic rights
Take for granted our way of life
Take for granted all we share
Because one day it might not be here
The men who thought and the men who tried
The men who taught to all mankind
The Ten Commandments
The words of Christ
The Constitution
The Bill of Rights
Virtue, morality, and independence...
The search for truth and the rule of law
With all we heard and with all we saw
After all gets said and done
Nothing lost and nothing won
Except... life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness
Nothings guaranteed
Just responsibility
The taxes paid
The laws obeyed
Start living your life free
Free to speak and express yourself
Buy a gun and protect yourself
Assemble peaceably
Practicing your religion freely
While they're the ones that we elect
It's We the People they neglect
They say by "conquest or consent"
Under "one world" government
If this happens to us we have only ourselves to blame...
There will be no more... life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness
Nothings guaranteed
Just responsibility
With the taxes are paid
The laws obeyed
Start living your life free
The generations that sacrificed
The generations that fought and died
The generations that gave their lives
To give our generation the "good life"
Nothing's guaranteed
After all that we've achieved
It might not be fair
But, it's the best you'll ever see
Through the window of my car
I see beautiful girls
In the city, in the lights 2600 miles from home
It's not over till the weekend
Can you feel it, can you feel it?
It's not over but we can pretend
Cuz we need it, we need it oh we need this
And feel the wind blow through your hair
This is freedom
On a long road to nowhere
Chasing the moon till morning comes
It's not over till the weekend
Can you feel it, can you feel it?
It's not over but we can pretend
Cuz we need it, we need it oh we need this
And we drink too much and smoke too fast
And waste our love on chasing black
And living free and riding dreams
Yeah we're living, we're living
Oh we're living
And into the bright lights
You get in or you don't
Yeah this city is alive
You get in or you go go go
Yeah into the bright lights
You get in or you don't
Yeah this city is alive
