"Doesn't it look like the sun ?" Then came doing the Attic numerals Where the system was acrophonic meaning that symbols were related To the spelling of the numbers & thats how the symbols were made Refer to the whiteboard over there "For example, 100 represented by "H" is hekaton in Greek. So, you can see where the symbol "H" come from" Chorus Finally alphabetic greek numerals were eventually distinguished from letters using overbars _ _ a = 1 , B = 2 Over time overbars were changed to Keraia symbols placed on the upper right. a' = 1, B' = 2 If symbol is placed at the lower left it represent a 1000 times. Ending The rich history of the greek system has so much to offer and has never failed to amaze us all. A volunteer is asked to stop you at a random page as you flick through the book. They then look at the page number and remember it. This is repeated with 2 more volunteers. They are all thinking of different numbers. You ask them to stand and you point to each volunteer in turn and name a number and say 'If I correctly named your number will you please sit down now' The 3 volunteers sitting down simultaneously is an instant cue for thunderous applause! Thanks for viewing this little video. It was fun to make. It is a humorous telling of a serious problem. Rats and squirrels can do massive damage to a house in short order. With fast growing teeth, rodents are compelled to constantly chew as their teeth are always growing. If they are in your attic or crawl space, that chewing will be on your rafters and wiring very often. If your house has been re plumbed and you have plastic pipe in your attic, you can imagine the problem. Not only that, but the dangers of diseases spread by rodents, racoons and other critters that can get in your attic are too numerous to cover here.
